I purchased a computer through Dell.com in my nameI used my husband's credit card to pay for the computerI received an email confirmation after the purchase from Dell and everything was correct When I received the shipment confirmation from Dell I noticed that the salutation on the email was not me and instead was addressed to "*** ***" I contacted Dell through their website informing them of their error and requested they correct it They never replied I contacted them via online chat and the operator told me it was an "issue with the system" and cited "system updates or online issues" as the problem I was told to call the helpdesk and they would resolve I did just that and after a very lengthy call they told me they were unable to fix it and if I wanted to I could return the computer and they would issue another I explained that I needed the computer that weekend and that was the reason I had ordered it when I did They assured me the ownership issue could be fixe

On July 27, I purchased Dell Inspiron / Service Tag: *** and also purchased extended warranty until July 28, This laptop is used as multimedia device to playback audio and videos on our TV One day, I heard a noise when I was opening up the lid Noise was coming from the right side hinge Upon closer inspection, I saw the right side hinge was broken After speaking to a dell representative, I was told the it would not be cover under warranty and that I have to pay for it to get repaired I have since did some research and emailed dell The reply was :
"Please note that issues related to physical damage and regular wear and tear like loose hinges, plastics, cracks, dents and liquid spills are not covered under the regular warranty I would like to inform you that Dell has a dedicated department called Out Of Warranty Repair that takes care of these issues."

I have used gift cards for separate orders I got an "order has been received" email for both but no confirmation emails, which were supposed to be sent out
I called customer service and I was informed that the gift cards were not "verified" In short orders have been cancelled (without notice, mind you)
If that is what happened, I just want to get credited back for the gift cards
Since I did not get order numbers from confirmation emails that did not come, I have purchase ID's from the order emails: "***" and "***"
I have been trying to follow up with their "Credit Card Order Processing department at *** option *" I always end up getting disconnected after I get passed around to different agents
I am not sure where else to turn to
