Something I wish I had done, googled the company before purchasing a subscription!
$95 I worked hard for to give myself a life. $95 I gave this company so a girl could win a scholarship. Sent in a cancellation notice the day of due to the address being wrote down wrong on the receipt. They cashed my check yesterday. Do not trust this company, better yet never trust any door to door sales!

Had a claimed student from a near by high school claim he was doing a competition with fellow students from the athletics division for a trip to Europe and he only needed a certain amount of points to complete. I obliged to help him out having sold much to help out the art department at my school. Very charismatic kid but when I paid for the subscription and he gave me the receipt and took off, I noticed the receipt was not cleanly filled out. Furthermore, I saw the receipt said that it was not part of a sponsorship or scholastic program. I contacted the school's resource officer and there was no known fundraiser through the athletics division. Never received any books.

A couple of solicitors from this company came to our apartment complex after 5pm, and this in spite of the big "No solicitors allowed" sign outside at our gatesOne of the salesmen identified himself as *** ***
They pretended to be "students" and selling subscriptions as part of an entrepreneurial classThey further added that our subscriptions would be donated to the kids at ** *** launched into the usual salesman pitch ***, and stated that this was part of a competition to earn them points, and that the kids at ** *** would be very happy with our "donation"He made SEVERAL attempts at trying to get us to sign up for more dollars that we initially agreed for; claiming shipping and handling expenses, and apparently forgetting the initial amount he quoted us
My wife wrote them a check and they leftLater, after doing some research, we found out about the poor reputation of this company and how the whole thing was a shamWe only realized how foolish we have been in hindsightWe mailed back the notice of cancellation of this subscription the very next day, to the address indicatedWe went one step further by putting a stop payment on the check and changing our account and routing number since this information was compromisedWe paid $to stop the payment, but I would rather take the fee that let this company get their ill-gotten moneyIt was a $lesson to both my wife and IWe also addressed a formal letter to this company to cancel our subscription and tell them to not contact us ever again
Shame on these solicitors appealing to the good hearts of people, and using the name and gravity of illness of ** *** kids

This Company is a complete scamI ordered a two year magazine subscription from a high school student wanting to get enough credits to win a trip to HawaiiThough my check was cashed, I never received my magazinesAfter many attempts to contact them through their website and providing all order and bank information, no reply
Do not do business with this company

While I was fairly certain the company would not refund my stop payment fee, it needs to be known that when someone attempts to sell something in that manner via door to door, if the customer truly has the days to reject the offer, the customer's check should be returned as promised. Instead I received a letter telling me I had days to respond. There wasn't a question of not receiving my cancellation but the company chose to wait almost months to send out a letter. That left me no choice but to pay to have the check cancelled since it was not returned as promised. According to the letter dated March 20, non response would activate the order

I am writing in regards to the above mentioned complaintThe alleged misrepresentations made by the independent contractor in this matter are not condoned by Coastal Subscription AgencyOur records indicate that we have received a mailed notice of cancellation request from Ms***We will
accept this complaint as the necessary proof of payment that was needed to process Ms***'s refundA refund check in the amount of $has been drafted for this purpose and will be mailed directly to Ms***Should there be any further information needed, please feel free to contact me

Yeah, so what about my cancellation notice you got a month ago? But yet proceeded to cash my check? No phone number to call. And I’ve emailed the email address provided.

On October 4th, 2018 a young lady came to my door, claiming she was in a competition with the other teammates and the one who sold the most got to go on a trip. I requested soap opera digest she said yes they have it, wrote out the reciept total is 44.00 dollars. I recieved a letter from the company saying it needed to be returned my December 24th that the magazine I ordered was one they could not cover, but the name of t jug e magazine they said I ordered was completely wrong. NEVER heard of the name of the magazine they was saying I ordered. They gave me a list to choose from, I wrote back and copied all the information requested a refund as I didn't want anything they was offering... I have emailed many many times. But have received absolutely nothing from them... seems to be a scam...

What a scam. $120 down the drain. My own fault. Guy was super nice. Wish I could find the phone number. Not enough bad things can happen to this company.

AWFUL company. There's enough reviews to know its not great. I can't get a hold of them and they didn't even put down our correct contact/mailing info so I'm going to cancel our check. NEVERRRRRR do business with them.

One of their sales Reps tried to offer me a job with them, here is a number you might want to try. After doing lots of research it pisses me off and makes me want to send screenshots of all of these reviews to this as[censored]. (909) 282-6433 is the #

Reported this scam to the media! On 3/23/18, Rebecca came soliciting to my door about needing assistance to get through nursing school. I paid for a 2-year magazine subscription for my daughters. The check was deposited on 4/12/18 and I have NOT received any magazines. No phone number is available to reach this company. I logged my receipt number C5002997 on their website and nothing comes up, just a blank screen. I've completed and submitted a Customer Contact Form multiple times inquiring on the status of my order and have NOT received any response. I notified Coastal Subscription that I would proceed with legal action and have taken this scam to the media. My local NBC assists customers with complaints and disputes and raises awareness to the public about shady companies.
