CollegeFocus waits days from issuance of first check before issuing a new one as sometimes it does take that long for payment to be delivered, or have payment returned as not deliverable, but mainly to mainly protect against people trying to scam us.Customer has the option of paying a check cancellation fee if she doesn't want to wait days from original issue date of check.Customer has been informed of her options each time she has emailed

We received your letters dated September 8, detailing the above referenced complaints yesterday (September 2017)The complaints appear to be exact duplicates of each other, which is symptomatic of the acute ignorance and incompetence displayed by both of you in making these unfounded, defamatory complaints against our companyFor the following reasons, we hereby demand that you cease and desist your pursuit of these complaints, withdraw any actions you have taken with respect to these complaints, and provide a full and complete apologyWe also hereby demand that the Revdex.com (Revdex.com) immediately cease and desist from listing or affiliating our company with any other entity who happens to call themselves [redacted] and erroneously describing our business as a seller/buyer of books of any typeIn the event you fail to do so, we will have no alternative but to bring legal and other appropriate action against you, including but not limited to actions for defamation, abuse of process, and malicious prosecutionSince 2004, we have been in the business of educational consultingadvising students in the college admissions processWe are a limited liability company duly authorized and in good standing with the State of [redacted] We are also duly licensed to do business in the City of [redacted] , [redacted] Our office has always been in [redacted] , [redacted] and we do no business with any person or entity outside of [redacted] We do not and never have bought or sold any types of booksWe do not and never have had any affiliation with any other company named [redacted] or any other companySince receiving these complaints, we have discovered that Revdex.com has erroneously and wrongfully listed our company online as a vendor of textbooks, which we are clearly notRevdex.com has also listed our company online as an affiliate of a company located at [redacted] of which we have absolutely no affiliationAs a result of Revdex.com's extreme negligence, we have been subjected to the above complaints plus numerous: other harassing phone calls in the last several months, causing us to file a police report with the City of [redacted] , Report Number [redacted] We no longer answer calls from out of the area phone numbers and our voicemail message clearly refers all complainants to the [redacted] Police Department report to protect us from daily harassment [redacted] has also been negligent and careless in making her complaintsFirst of all [redacted] and [redacted] could have easily discerned from an online search that we are a very different business from the company [redacted] allegedly did business with in [redacted] ***Also asimple review our domain names and email addresses would have clearly revealed that we are not the same business entity as the company [redacted] allegedly sold her book(s) toA phone call to us, a search with the State of [redacted] business services, and a review of the City of [redacted] licensing services would have also shown the error of your ways [redacted] Revdex.com is in the business of collecting information and data on businesses, these allegations are particularly egregiousRather than using resources to erroneously charging innocent businesses, we suggest that Revdex.com diligently pursue the entity that is apparently scamming people in its own cityWe look forward to your immediate response and remedial actions.Sincerely, [redacted]

It is unfortunate the client decided to accept our terms of service without reading them where it is clearly spelled out we do not buy loose leaf editions, they will be rejected, and destroyed[redacted]

Customer was emailed on 3/5/that his books are under counterfeit review.Integrated Advertising, Promotion, and Marketing Communications (7th Edition) (Newest Edition)9780133866339Was a proven a counterfeit and we are still waiting on Pearson to authenticate his second book.Customer's information has been turned over to publisher's regarding attempting to sell us counterfeit goods

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I do not believe that it's counterfeit because I purchased this book from schoolI do not think it is very professional that there is no customer service number for this company when I need to communicate with youI never heard back after A MONTH so what else would I do? There are several customer complaints about this companyI have sent several books to others for sale and had not one problem with themI think the counterfeit idea is to save your own bottomI will never do business with this company ever again!! I'm sorry, but we don't pay for items we never received.Besides just being logical, those are the terms and conditions you accepted: [redacted] It is unfortunate your package apparently got lost, but no postal carrier is perfect and things do get lost

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I used your pre paid label that you provided, it should not have gotten lostIf you can't guarantee the shipping label is correct then you are defrauding the people that sell their books back I had the prepaid label attached so well that it would only come off in small pieces If this can not get resolved then I will have to proceed with a civil suit against your company The only way a response is given is if you email, and you don't know if it's an adult or a child responding You should be able to contact you by phone like any respectable company Regards, [redacted]

It's nice the client is getting an education into the publishing worldPer the agreement he agreed to accept, but perhaps didn't read: "Loose Leaf / Spiral / Unbound Editions CollegeFocus does not purchase any unbound materials commonly known as “loose leaf”, “unbound”, or “spiral bound” editions of books even if a quote is presented on the website Do not send loose leaf, spiral, or unbound editions as they will result in no payment and will not be returned – see Transfer of Ownership." We are aware publishers don't always give the loose leaf edition a separate ISBN which is why we specifically call out that situation

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: This is ridiculous just listen to the way you are speaking to meFirst of all, you said the box was not destroyed as shows it was not destroyed when you received it nor when I sent it I repeat for the millionth time which you continue to ignore to send me my book backThe book that was so poorly received and destroyed according to youNow if like you said it was destroyed and not worth anything than return it to me like many other companies doThis is upsetting I am a student who is going to school to study to be a nurse to help people out in the world and then you encounter problems like these that really do not make any senseIf you want to steal my book fine just remember that it all comes to an end at a pointThe way you speak shows lack of professionalism you should really work on that but ofcourse your not this company scams people what can be expected Regards, [redacted] ***

Thanks for your feedback, but our policies remain: [redacted] "Issued checks remain valid for daysIn the event of a lost, forgotten, or otherwise uncashed check, please contact customer service to receive a reissued replacement."Customer is correct in that our policy does not state about canceling a check before the days is up - that's a new option we are presenting to people and available to this customer

Customer was paid exact quote for the following book:Strategic Market Management [redacted] Unfortunately, the following book was counterfeit:Strategic Management: Concepts [redacted] Seller's information has been surrounded to the publisher per agreement.Seller most likely has zero qualifications to determine whether a book is counterfeit, but we believe the publisher is adequately qualified to determine that the book was counterfeit.Due to the legal nature of dealing with counterfeits we no longer offer a support number and all correspondence is handled via email

Counterfeits are a very real issue and the publishers are taking aggressive legal action: [redacted] The best thing for students to do is educate themselves about counterfeits so they don't purchase them which is why we wrote this article to help: [redacted]

It doesn't matter how your book looked when you sent it only how it arrived. Again, any damage to packaging would have been noted. If you have pictures of your immaculant book you can send them to us, but again it only matters the condition of book upon arrival to us. Yes, we have a few bad reviews from people like you, but compared to the tens of thousands that continue to use year after year, our business fine. Perhaps we need to look into a program to encourage the happy majority to offset the few like you

Per policies you agreed to upon checkout there is a day period from when a check is mailed before a new one can be issued.Otherwise, we offer a $early cancel and re-issue option
