Customer sent a book that arrived with the binding completely ripped off. There was no damage to the packaging so it appears the book was sent this way. Per usual rejected books are claimed to be in perfect like new condition instead of people being adults and taking responsibility for
sending us a poor condition book for which we will not pay. Customer has already been paid for the books that were in acceptable condition

Client sent in a wrong book which was actually an illegal instructor's edition marked "not for resale" for which they could be prosecuted.At this point, we have only adjust the quoted amount to reflect client not sending the actual book quoted.The adjusted payment will be sent in the next to

You want us to pay for something we never received as confirmed by the USPS?Oh, and if the buyback price has gone up you want us to give you even more than what was originally quoted on something we never received?Beyond the obvious ludicrous nature of your complaint per the policies you accepted at
checkout we are not liable or responsible for lost or damaged items

We don't provide detection methods to potential or proven counterfeiters - that would be itic.We work with all the major publishers and are about to be EPEG certified - one of only two buyback companies that follow strict anti-counterfeit methods dictated by the publishers which includes not
returning or discussing counterfeits.It does require us to release seller information on confirmed counterfeits

receipt of potential counterfeits - obviously not the best customer experience, but much better than a lawsuit from the publishers.Once we finally hear back from the publisher about your book you will either be paid the quoted amount, or should your book prove counterfeit your information will be released to the publisher as the seller of record.As it is still textbook high season it might not be until October when we hear back from the publisher - sorry for the delays.  You might want to educate yourself regarding counterfeits for future purchases by reading and article we wrote:[redacted]

offered insurance to customers.The [redacted] has no way of knowing whether a package arrives damaged or else it probably would not happen - the customer is welcome to call our local [redacted] office which will attest to receiving damaged packages all the time.  A random [redacted] worker on the phone has not idea about real world operations.Additionally, for no up-charge we offer customers [redacted] insurance, which had the customer utilized, they could file a claim with the [redacted] instead of just a lost mail claim.
