Comenity Capital Bank issues HSN credit card accounts, and we respond to all account-related questions. Your complaint was forwarded to my attention, and I appreciate the opportunity to assist you We understand your concerns regarding credit for merchandise that you believe was returned to HSN. You state that you were provided proof by HSN’s computer printout that the items listed below were returned; however, the HSN credit card account was continuously billed for the merchandise. We apologize for any continued frustration or inconvenience you may be experiencing because of this matter Please be advised, the documentation you provided in your last complaint was forwarded to HSN for review. HSN’s records confirmed that the items listed below were not returned to their office. opportunity to assist you You state you ordered a pair of pants which did not fit. When you called Appleseed’s to inquire the best way the return the item, you were told that if you used the provided mailing label, you would not be charged postage. However, you continue to be billed for mailing charges and late fees. You further state that although you have written several letters regarding this matter, you continue to be billed. The APPLESEED’S account was closed per your request, and the Bank has threatened to provide the amount due to the national-credit reporting agencies. Lastly, you state that should owe nothing because you followed the instructions for returning the pants, and you were told you would not have to pay any shipping charges. You are requesting credits of the shipping and late fee changes. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or frustration this matter may have caused you. We have reviewed your account, and we are happy to share our findings. Comenity Capital Bank and Appleseed’s are two separate entities. Comenity Capital Bank is responsible for addressing questions related to APPLESEED’S credit card accounts, while Appleseed’s is responsible for handling matters related to sales, merchandise processing, returns, shipping, and merchandise quality. Please keep in mind, when ordering merchandise by mail, your credit card account is charged for the cost of the merchandise, sales tax (if applicable), as well as shipping and handling. When the merchandise is returned, your account is credited for the cost of the merchandise and sales tax only; shipping and handling is not refunded. Additionally, if you use the provided Smart Label for the return, your account is billed $for the cost of the return shipping Please also keep in mind, if a payment is late or is made for less than the minimum payment due, a late fee and a finance charge may be assessed to the account, as explained in the Credit Card Agreement On May 12, 2016, a purchase of $posted to the account. This order consisted of a pair of pants for $39.95, and a shipping and handling charge of $9.99. On May 27, 2016, a return credit of $posted to your account. This credit included a charge of $for one Smart Label fee. On June 2, 2016, a statement was issued reflecting a balance of $and a minimum payment of $19.98, due by June 28, 2016. We contacted Appleseed’s on your behalf, regarding your concerns. Please be assured, Appleseed’s has issued a courtesy credit of $to remove the shipping and handling charges and one Smart Label fee. In the interest of customer service, the Bank has issued additional credits totaling $to remove the previously assessed late fees and finance charges. The credits result in a credit balance of $9.99. Because the account has a credit balance, we are issuing a refund check of $to you. Please allow days to receive the refund check, as it is being sent by a separate mailing. Notification has been sent to the national credit-reporting agencies, regarding the APPLESEED’S account, with instructions to have the negative payment information removed from your credit bureau report. I am rejecting the response from Comenity Bank to my complaint because they did not acknowledge their lack of effortWhen the fraud was discovered June 25, 2015, I submitted paperwork as requested by Comenity Bank within business days in July Their paperwork said that if I did not file the correct documentation my case would not be handledComenity Bank did NOTHING about my case and did not assign a case number until I filed a complaint with the Revdex.comI understand the day rule about getting cases resolved, however, as a result of their lack of effort, it has been days since the paperwork was originally filed and now another days will pass before my case is resolvedI expect an apology and anticipate my credit report restored
