Comenity Capital Bank Reviews (1308)

4/26/16Dear M.s [redacted]I really appreciated all your help with my situation. I can not stand people like the Sahalie catalog company that try & take advantage of people. I am an older individual & have always paid for what I owe & never taken advantage of anyone!! Shame on these people!Thank you again for all your help & concern.Sincerely,[redacted]

Please be advised pertaining to this complaint I was advised by the agent that the restocking fee would be waved once I called back for the better model. Lenovo has had multiple complaints about the model that I ordered because the change to the Querty keyboard was not communicated in the product description or the technical documents. I should not be penalized because of a design change. I’m being charged interest on an account specifically acquired for the purchase of a laptop. None was delivered and now late fees and penalties have added up to well over $300.

Dear Ms. [redacted]We received the complaint you sent to the Revdex.com regarding PayPal Credit. Your correspondence was forwarded to Comenity Capital Bank. The PayPal Credit product is issued by Comenity Capital Bank and serviced by Bill Me Later, Inc. PayPal Credit is a payment option...

made available by many merchants to their customers.Your complaint states you received an email from PayPal Credit informing you the telephone numbers associated with your PayPal Credit account were changed and asking you to call PayPal Credit if you did not request the changes. You called PayPal Credit and were advised by the agent the call was an attempt to collect a debt. You are requesting PayPal Credit not contact you again and your balance be waived.PayPal Credit’s records reflect your account was closed due to delinquency on December 4, 2015. On January 4, 2016, your account was referred to an outside collections agency to collect the balance on your account. On March 16, 2016, the outside collections agency attempted to contact you at an alternate telephone number obtained through a skip tracing service. During this call, an unidentified third party stated the telephone number was not associated with you and requested the telephone number be removed from PayPal Credit’s system. To process the request, the outside collections agency contacted PayPal Credit and asked that all telephone numbers associated with your account be removed.PayPal Credit completed the request, and because your primary telephone number was removed from your account, you were sent an automated email on March 18, 2016 to confirm the change. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused. On March 18, 2016, you called PayPal Credit. Because your account was delinquent, you were advised by the agent that any information obtained during the call would be used to collect the debt. This disclosure is provided to all PayPal Credit account holders that call regarding past due accounts and is not in any way related to the e-mail you received.Upon receipt of your complaint, PayPal Credit recalled your account from the outside collections agency and placed a cease and desist on your account. You will no longer receive calls regarding your account; however, you remain responsible for the balance. As of April 6, 2016, your account is closed with a balance of $3,121.74.We hope this letter explains this matter.Sincerely,Christina W[redacted]

* Dear [redacted]:   Comenity Capital Bank (Bank) has received your correspondence regarding the above-referenced account.  Comenity Capital Bank previously issued the [redacted] credit card. We are here to answer your questions and assist with your concerns.   We understand from your complaint that you did not have enough payment information, and therefore you made your payment after the due date. You state you attempted to contact the Bank directly and the system would not allow you to make the payment as you did not have the account number. Due to this, the Bank reported the account past due to the credit bureaus. You request the Bank correct your credit report. I am happy to share my findings.   Please note in order to register on the Account Center website you must have the account number, which can be obtained from the monthly billing statements.   Bank records indicate a billing statement for the above-referenced account was issued September 23, 2016, with an outstanding balance of $213.02 and a minimum payment of $25.00 due by October 19, 2016.  No payment was received. A billing statement was issued October 24, 2016, with an outstanding balance of $242.69 and a minimum payment of $38.00 due by November 19, 2016. Again, no payment was received. A billing statement was issued November 23, 2016, with an outstanding balance of $282.84 and a minimum payment of $53.00 due by December 19, 2016. A payment of $53.00 was received on November 26, 2016. However, because two consecutive payments were missed, the account was reported as 30-days late in November 2016.   Although the Bank finds no error, in the interest of customer service, we have sent instructions to the credit bureaus to delete the 30-day late reported for November 2016. Please allow the credit bureaus 45 days to update their records.   I hope you have found this information to be helpful. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at ###-###-####.                                           ... Sincerely,     [redacted]

Dear [redacted]:We have received the complaint regarding the above-referenced account. Comenity Capital Bankissues Lending Club Patient Solutions credit accounts, and we are here to help with your accountrelatedquestions. Your complaint, addressed to the Revdex.com, was forwarded...

tomy attention, and I appreciate the opportunity to respond to your concerns. In reviewing the complaint, the Bank understands that you financed dental treatments on youraccount with the purchase to be placed on a one year interest free loan; after the year was over, interest would only be assessed to the remaining balance. You further state that when youreceived your first statement, your minimum payment was $500.00. You contacted our CustomerCare Team to have you minimum payments lowered, and you were advised not to make the firstpayment. However, as a result of not making the payment, you received a phone call from theBank regarding your late payment. At that time you explained that you wanted your monthlypayments lowered; however, you state that the representative was not helpful. Furthermore, youscheduled automatic payments through your bank for $500.00 a month; however, your minimumpayment increased, and you were not aware of this until you received a phone call from the Bank.As a result, your account fell past due and you were reported to the credit bureau as delinquent. You are requesting that your account and credit bureau history be updated. We apologize for anyfrustration or inconvenience this situation may have caused you.Our records indicate that on May 16, 2016, a purchase of $6,000.00 posted to your account andwas placed on a 12-month waived interest, equal payment plan, set to expire on May 17, 2017.Purchases on this plan will not be assessed interest if the purchase is paid completely before theend date of the promotional period. At the end of the promotional period, any balance remainingon the plan is added to the regular revolving balance. The customer is required to make equalmonthly payments during the promotional period. For example, if the customer’s purchase is$1,200.00 and the plan lasts for 12 months, the customer is required to make an equal paymentof $100.00 each month. Please be advised that the information regarding your promotional plansappeared on your monthly billing statements, under the heading, “details of your plans”.Please be advised the minimum payment on your account is based on your purchase of$6,000.00. As a result of your purchase being placed on the 12-month waived interest, equalpayment plan, your minimum payment is broken up into equal payments for the 12 months.Bank records further indicate that a payment was not received for the month of June 2016. As aresult, a late fee was assessed to your account. On June 23, 2016, a statement was issued toyou showing a balance of $6,025.00, and a minimum payment of $1,005.00 due by July 19, 2016.A payment of $500.00 was received on July 6, 2016, and an additional payment of $500.00 wasreceived on July 19, 2016. However, as a result of the two payments being less that the required minimum payment of $1,005.00, a late fee was assessed to your account. Your account becameone billing period past due.On July 24, 2016, a statement was issued to your showing a balance of $5,060.00, and a minimumpayment of $510.00 due by August 19, 2016. The Bank did not receive a payment; therefore, alate fee was assessed to your account, and your account became two billing periods past due.As a result of your account being two billing periods past due, your account was reported as 30days delinquent to the national credit-reporting agencies.Although, Comenity Capital Bank did not find any errors with the account, we issued a total creditof $96.00 for the late fees that were previously assessed. However, we are unwilling to updateyour credit bureau history, as it is valid. We hope the information provided is helpful. I did not login in to my account and request an increase. I rarely use this card so I would not have needed an additional increase. I have a fraud alert on my credit report for reasons such as this when someone request something that was not authorized by me. Remove this inquiry from my credit report or you will be hearing from lawyer.

Dear Sir,I now understand letter and your explanation concerning the amount that I have but I hadn't received any information not the way that it is explained to me. I never talked to anyone about the bill since March 17, 2016. I called Aspen Dental and asked to speak to someone in customer service and I would be (not legible) on hold, no one came to the phone to take to me. I never was told about the amount that I owed was 120.00 after credit. If I had been the amount it would never have gotten to this because I would have payed it.Yours truly[redacted]

Their response is a fabrication of what had actually occurred and what I was told. The account was not closed, and that was confirmed when I was in the Zales store at Lakeside Shopping Center in Metairie, LA. My available credit was 3000.00 and the balance was zero.Further, in my 24 minute conversation with their representative, at 9:27 a.m., on December 5, 2016 I was given an account summary by their automated system. It too indicated an available credit of 3000.00 and a zero balance. That was prior to my conversation with a live representative who stated a hold was placed on my account because of an alleged "do not contact" they claimed I'd sent or told them. None of what is indicated in the response above was said. I was not told I'd have to re-apply and that my account had been closed. I was told I'd have to send a letter reversing what I ALLEGEDLY had told them about contacting me. If they recorded the call they KNOW what I'm saying is true. And I have PROOF of it as well.
Regards,

Dear [redacted]:   Comenity Bank (Bank) has received your correspondence regarding the above-referenced account. Comenity Bank issues the Victoria's Secret Angel credit card. We are here to answer your questions and assist with your concerns.   I understand you have been logging...

into the Bank’s online Account Center on the first of each month to pay the remaining amount of your minimum payment. However, you state there is a lag in the Bank’s website not posting your payment the same day, and you are being assessed late fees. You request the late fees be removed, as they should not have been assessed in the first place.   Please be advised, the due date on your account is the first of every month. Keep in mind when payments are not received, are received after the due date, or are made for less than the minimum required, the account will be assessed a late fee, as explained in the Credit Card Agreement.    Bank records indicate you logged into Account Center on March 2, 2017, and submitted a payment of $30.00.. Since the payment was not made by your due date of the first, a late fee was assessed.   A billing statement was issued on March 6, 2017, indicating a minimum payment of $30.00 due by April 1, 2017. A payment of $10.00 was received on March 15, 2017, and $5.00 was received on March 28, 2017.On April 3, 2017, you logged into Account Center and submitted a payment for the remaining $15.00. However, the full $30.00 minimum payment was not received by the due date; therefore, a late fee was assessed.   Our records indicate a late fee credit in the amount of $30.00 was applied to the account on May 2, 2017. We are unwilling to remove any additional fees, as they are valid.   I hope you have found this information to be helpful. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at ###-###-####.                                         ... Sincerely,K. We are here to answer your questions and assist with your concerns.Your correspondence indicates you placed an order for a jacket through Haband...

and did not receive the jacket. However, your check for $28.93 was electronically deposited by Haband. You state that you placed another order for a jacket and were billed for it plus a late fee. You paid the bill in order to stop late fees. You provided evidence of the Haband check payment for $28.93 to the Bank, and are requesting a refund for $57.93.Please note Comenity Capital Bank and Haband are two separate entities. The Bank issues and is responsible for addressing questions related to your credit card account. Haband is responsible for handling matters related to sales, merchandise processing, returns and shipping. We have contacted Haband, on your behalf, regarding this matter and they have advised that check #[redacted] for $28.93 was cashed on September 15, 2017. Haband also advised that when the order was received, they did not have enough information to process the order, and it was placed on hold while attempting to contact you. When you called Haband on September 27, 2017, a new order was placed, which was charged to the Haband credit card, rather than a correction to the original order. Haband is generating a refund check which will be sent on December 26, 2017.As a courtesy, we have applied a credit of $29.00 to your Haband account for the associated late fee and minimum interest charge. The credit resulted in a credit balance on the account, and a refund check for $29.00 will be issued to you. Please allow up to 14 business days to receive the check, which will be mailed separately from the Haband refund check.I hope you have found this information to be helpful.
