Vendor wanted to change the equipment and cost of a furnace/AC install less than a week after quote was agreed to via email.
After a home visit I was given one line estimates for a furnace/AC/water-softener package with installation. I liked the packages a requested detailed quotes. After a few requests I received 4 options via e-mail. I agreed to one of the packages and agreed to proceed via return email. On the day of the scheduled install, lees than a week later I was informed the equipment would be of lower quality than what I was quoted. I did have the option to pay much more or settle for the lower quality equipment. A real bait and switch.

Alan with Golden Rule Service came out on a Sunday when it was zero degrees to fix our heater. He was on time and got it up and runnin quickly. We will definitely call them again.

We had a new furnace and air conditioner installed by another company in town this past fall so I was not happy when I woke up to find that my house was 45 degrees on one of the colder days of the year. Of course the company that installed the system didn't answer the phone when I called them and no one else in town wanted to come help my family since they didn't install the furnace. When I called Golden Rule I talked to Alan and explained to him that my furnace was out and I needed it running because I have children at home and the temperature in the house keeps dropping. He was very understanding and he said he could be out within an hour. It turns out the igniter went out on my one year old furnace and it was about $*** to fix plus the service fee. Almost $*** altogether. Golden Rule is expensive but after the experience we had with other companies in town and the care shown by Alan and his company, I will never use anyone else for our plumbing or HVAC needs. It is hard to find good service, especially in an emergency on a Sunday, but I am glad I found Golden Rule.

Golden Rule Service installed a new *** heating and cooling system with all of the bells and whistles for us and we love it! They were very responsive and helpful from day one with answering all of our questions and after talking with multiple companies we decided to move forward with their estimate even though it was a little bit higher than some of the other bids we had gotten. The new system is much quieter and a lot more efficient. They also installed a *** and *** and the air quality is also substantially better. My husband and I would highly recommend Alan and Golden Rule Service.

Very quick and friendly

Travis and Alan did a great job cleaning out our main sewer line. Last year *** charged us $*** to clean out the sewer and Golden Rule only charged us $*** plus tax. We also signed up for the total care club.

Travis and Alan visited with me about my water heater today. They were very informative and helpful. My water heater has a date on it from 2001 but I paid another plumbing company in Sioux Falls over $*** to install it in 2006, which means they installed a used water heater!!! I also had a bad experience with *** because they couldn't figure out how to fix it and after two visits from them a friend on *** recommended Golden Rule. I couldn't be happier with their company.

I've never had as good of an experience as I had with Golden Rule Service. I called at 5 am on the morning of the blizzard and they got right out within an hour and had a new *** furnace installed and running by lunch time same day. I highly recommend them!

Golden rule is Sioux Falls best plumbing, heating and cooling company hands down! They were able to provide quick and efficient service when our furnace caught on fire in the middle of the night. We were worried about pipes freezing through the night and cold weekend ahead of us so we were pleasantly surprised when they said they were also able to start installing our new *** furnace within an hour of calling in. Everyone at Golden Rule was friendly and great to work with, also clean and polite. I really don't have a single negative thing to say about our experience with Golden Rule. Alan was amazing to work with. I can see why they are called Golden Rule SERVICE, because they really know what true service is. We would highly recommend Golden Rule and will definitely use them again. Thank you all!

They came out within one hour and got my furnace fixed. What more can you ask for? They did an excellent job and we will definitely use them in the future.

I am well satisfied with the service that Alan provided. I am also happy that they were able to come so fast and fix it for only $300. I was as tickled as a son of a gun.

Allen did a great job finding all the right parts on a Saturday Holiday afternoon and then fixing our furnace as the temps were dropping to double digits below zero. Allen knows his stuff and is very professional and pleasant. We will make these guys our HVAC providers in the future. .
