Review: We paid them over an year ago for a service that according to their website and verbal agreement would take an average of 2 months. We still have not gotten the documents we need. Everything was approved and we have many emails that confirm this. At this point they are holding our US passport and backtracking on the approval...

No one seems to have a clue what's going on and they are horrible at responding to the many emails we have sent. We want everything EVERYTHING back that we submitted: including out old card and all fees paid. OR we would like them to complete this process and finish the services which we paid for.Desired Settlement: We want everything EVERYTHING back that we submitted: including our old OCI card and all fees paid. OR we would like them to complete this process and finish the services which we paid for.

Review: BRIEF FACTS:1.CKGS is a visa-processing private contractor for India consulate in NY. 2.After many days of researching, calling around Indian consulates around the country, we sent in our tourist visa applications, which CKGS received on the [redacted] of June at 10.30 a.m.3.Fifteen days after the receipt of our applications, they returned them to us without taking an action. This resulted, contrary to our expectation, in much financial damage and waste of time.4. Although it is extremely difficult to contact either Indian Consulate in NY or the CKGS,its contractor, we managed to reach CKGS call center, which happens to be in India. Communications with either one is almost impossible.5. During the 15 days the applications were in NY and after they returned them to us, the call center kept assuring us that the applications were escalated and that they are in process. They continued to assure us that we would get our tourist visas soon. 6. They caused us much damage financially and wasted much of our time and energy for simple things like a tourist visa. 7. We were successful to get through to Indian consulates in Chicago and Huston, which verified information for us. We did exactly as CKGS wanted, but our applications were returned without action. This dashed our hope of seeing our parents in India.8. Even today, several days after they returned our applications to us, the call center is telling us that they are in process. 9. We are still without a visa to visit our family in India. In the meantime, there are numerous complaints against this company on the websites, in India Abroad newspaper, and other media. 10. CKGS withheld my one passport photo and four sheets of paper, which were copies of my relevant old passport pages.11. What CKGS in NY is doing or not doing is contrary to what the Indian consulates are saying. I would like to get my money back.Desired Settlement: We want CKGS refund my FedEx charges of $40.71 for the total expenses. We want CKGS refund the cost of my passport photo. We want CKGS return to me copies of three pages of my old Indian passport. These are sensitive information pages.Monetary Refund requested: $40. 71

Review: I am a US citizen and I applied for my Indian OCI visa along with my 2 kids through CKGS which is only option. Now, I received my passport along with my OCI visa back on OCT [redacted] 2014 and still have not received my kids passports back (which we were supposed to receive it the same day). I contacted CKGS and they asked me provide the return fedex paid receipt which I did. And since then, I am contacting them almost every day for the reason to hold the passports back but they have not provided me any satisfactory reply. The keep saying that they are "working on the issue". I don't trust them with my kids passports and feel that they are up to something fishy. Their phone numbers mentioned on their website doesn't seem to work either. I tried contacting the Indian embassy but that didn't seemed to have worked either.Desired Settlement: Either they return the passport w/OCI right away and provide me the Fedex tracking number when they send me (so I have it as a proof). ....OR... they send me the passports and refund my money back if they cannot provide the service they are supposed to give.

Review: Cox & Kings Global Services returned my original application for OCI + Passport renunciation application. However they still owe $460 in refund since January 2015. I have called multiple times and have provided proof of payment at least twice via e-mail. They keep saying that the payment will be processed in one or two days but they have not refunded the amount. I called them for the final time today and asked to speak to the supervisor. I was told that supervisor was busy with another call and will call me before the end of the day. It is 5:05 PM and I have not received the call from anyone. I do not know the reason for a 4 month delay nor are they providing an explanation on why they keep saying the money will be refunded in one or two days but it does not happen.Desired Settlement: Refund the owed amount ASAP and issue a written letter of apology or regret or at least an explanation for the unnecessary delay.

Response:

Dear Sir/ Madam, CKGS has refunded $460 to the applicant. The case thus stands resolved. Regards, CKGS

Review: On November [redacted] 2014, I used the Cox & Kings website to order the Courier Service for sending in the documents for [redacted] processing and also return of the passport. I completed the payment and the website did not produce the AWB (Airways Bill) Number or a courier label for sending in my documents. I could not use their "re-print courier label" option since it asks for the "airways bill number" which was not provided. I contacted customer support using their website and their response is very lax - each email to them takes at least a couple of days to yield a response. I called the customer support line and was on hold for one hour and finally had to hang up. When they did finally respond, they asked for additional information that I provided. I subsequently had to send in the application paying separate courier charges myself and not using their service anymore. I am requesting that they refund the full amount of $30.90 they charged and did not provide the service. I no longer require the airways bill number (which I requested for several times in my emails to them). I just need a refund.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a full refund of $30.90 that was charged to my credit card for services that were not rendered.

Review: On June *, 2014, VisaHQ submitted my application for an Indian visa. After hearing no word about my application, I contacted VisaHQ who visited the office of Cox & Kings and discovered that my passport had been lost and never submitted for a visa. This happened about a week after it was submitted. I thought the issue had been resolved, but on June [redacted] I began to worry. I contacted the offices several times by phone, yet the phones are directed to India, and the company does not have an idea of what is going on in the offices in the States. E-mails to the company only result in the knowledge that the application is being processed, nothing else is resolved.

On Thursday, June [redacted], I began to worry that my passport wouldn't be returned to me by my flight date - June [redacted]. So I took matters into my own hands and visited the offices of Cox & Kings myself, what I discovered was a nightmare. At 3:15pm, I lined up behind around 30-35 people, and was told that people who be allowed in starting at 4:00pm. It wasn't until 4:40pm that the first 21 people were allowed in. After that, no one else was allowed in. Outside, in the sun, we all stood waiting for answers. The people in charge would take our paperwork and bring it upstairs. They would look for our information and come downstairs with either our passport or tell us to come back Monday.

If someone was upset that their passport was not ready, many of the people had been waiting at the office several days, the man in charge refused to take questions. He was rude and condescending to everyone outside.

My passport was not brought to me, but I refused to leave, wanting to get upstairs to get answers to my questions. It wasn't until around 8:40pm when there were about 15 of us left that we were finally brought inside. There we were greeted with a room full of people who were also wondering where their passports were. We were told to sit quietly and not take out our cell phones. The recently returned passport names would be read aloud and then we'd be asked to leave. They were read aloud and not one person there claimed the passport. Then we were all asked to leave our contact information and leave. There was a brief moment for questions, but only as a group, and no individual concerns were addressed. I left at 10pm feeling hopeless and let down.

VisaHQ sent their representative for me again yesterday, and when she arrived, they told her that the visa had been shipped to me. When she asked about the tracking number and who had paid for it, they changed their answer. Instead, they claimed the visa had been denied. VisaHQ tried to collect my passport, but she could not find it and left empty handed. I contacted the Indian consulate and they had informed me that the passport has never been sent to them, which makes me worried that they have either lost or stolen my passport.

Today, was my flight to India, which had to be canceled, and my two months of travel plans are at risk of being canceled unless I get my passport back. I feel as if I am not getting any answers, and I'm not sure who to turn to next.

I have never witnessed such a lack of professionalism or disorganization in my life.Desired Settlement: I'd like my passport to be returned, preferably with visa for visit to India inside, if it has been lost or stolen, I'd like them to reimburse me for the money it would take to get a new passport. I would also appreciate an apology.

The issuance or rejection or duration of the visa is the Sovereign right of the

Government of India / Embassy of India in USA and the Consulate of India, New

York and this decision is not open to any discussion.

Furthermore, as far as the fees are concerned, the total fees paid by the

multiple entry Business Visa

$3.00 was paid to Consulate of India, New York towards ICWF Fees (Indian

Community Welfare Fund)

In the circumstances as aforesaid CKGS is unable to accede to Applicant's

request for refund of 70% of the visa fees paid due to issuance of visa

duration less than that applied for.

Applicant received the document and refund of $165. Complaint resolved.

Review: I am writing this with the utmost sadness and concern. I am a JD/MBA candidate. I have been preparing to participate in the study abroad trip to India during summer session II at the University (leaving U.S.A. July **, 2014). I was very excited to leave for this wonderful trip with other students and the professor. I unfortunately have faced many roadblocks and ultimately was not able to board the plane for India.

I would like to start at the beginning and explain why I am not in India. I prepared my documents for the trip. I compiled a packet with my application materials and paid a money order totaling $95 to CKGS, the Indian Visa Application Center in New York. I was notified by the company and told that the money order was missing. This was impossible because I purchased the money order and placed it in the envelope at ACME and tracked my package straight to the application center. I spoke with a representative and they told me that it may have been a mistake and to just ignore the missing money order. During the next few weeks I had spoken with many representatives from the company via email and telephone. I was reassured by many of the representatives that my visa was processing even though when I tracked my application the status was never changing. Then on Friday, July [redacted] at 2:00pm a representative from CKGS called me to notify that CKGS lost my application materials except for my passport and that I needed to send another application as soon as possible.

The same day I quickly printed off a new application and included a receipt for the first money order that I sent in and overnighted a package through UPS to the application center. This totaled $50.19. I tracked that package and the company signed for it on Monday July **. I called again and no one was helping me at the application center and someone hung the phone up on my call. I have a good friend from high school that lives in New York. She was kind enough to visit the application center to find out what was going on with my application. On Tuesday July ** she went into the office and she was there for a total of four hours. She kept me updated by texting and notifying me that the application center still could not find my passport or new application that I sent in on Friday July **.

Finally they found my application and passport but told my friend that the receipt was missing and that I would have to pay more. She stressed the importance of my trip and that it was impossible for the money order to be missing. The representative spoke to his [redacted] and finally put my application through processing. I was so happy because I thought that maybe in this terrible nightmare of a process I would actually be able to make my flight to India. I booked a bus ticket through Greyhound totaling $74.50 to take me to New York on Wednesday night so that I could pick up my ticket and possibly make my flight from New York to India. I did this because I knew there was no way that CKGS would take the time to overnight my passport so that I could make my trip. However, I was notified by the travel agent that I was not able to do that because if I missed my flight from Cleveland to New York my ticket would be invalid. She recommended that I buy another ticket back to Cleveland before Friday so that I could make my flight. That was completely impossible because of the time restraint. I would not be able to get on a bus Wednesday night, arrive in New York Thursday morning and “possibly” my visa would be ready for pickup then make another bus trip back to Akron on Thursday night to finally reach Akron Friday morning and then drive to Cleveland to make my flight. That was completely absurd and there was no way that I would be taking a risk like that and also spending more money that I do not have on running around the US trying to find my visa and passport.

I was supposed to board a plane Friday, July **. I unfortunately was not able to make the trip because my visa was not ready until July **, 2014. I FINALLY received my passport/visa in the mail today (Monday July **, 2014).

The travel agent was not able to refund my ticket or give me any sort of viable resolution for my plane ticket. Then I called United Airlines to see if they could possibly do anything and they were unable to fix the situation. I am very upset and disappointed at how many things went wrong with this trip. I am working with the credit card company to try to recover the money that I lost on my plane ticket. This is not guaranteed but they are trying.

CKGS has caused me to lose so much money and a wonderful study abroad trip.Desired Settlement: I think that the appropriate action that should be taken would be that CKGS refund my $95 for the visa because I am not even able to use the visa anymore since they prevented me from going on my trip. Also, I think CKGS should refund the UPS costs of $50.19 that I spent on the new application that they asked me to send.

Review: Wrongfully rejected application

I applied for my daughter's [redacted] card for visiting India. I provided all the documents outlined in their website. However, I got an email requesting parents valid US visa. I provided mother's green card copy and sent a note that father is a US citizen by birth and does not have US visa. I sent a proof of father's citizenship by sending the copy of father's passport and father's birth certificate. CKGS sent me a note aknowledgeing the reciept of the documents. However, I got a rejection in mail saying the documents were not recieved. I called the office multiple times and I was told to reapply (it costs $300 to reapply). I asked them how do I know for sure I dont get rejected for same reason. They didnt have an answer for meDesired Settlement: I would like a refund for my application and all applicable fees and mailing costs. If this is not possible, I would like them to process my re-application with no cost and based on all the documents already provided.

Review: I applied for OCI card for my two children who are US citizens. CKGS charges $20 for processing fee, and then $275 on behalf of indian embassy for the actual review process per application. PArt of the $20 processing fee that CKGS charges includes rviewing the comeplteness and accuracy of documents including eligibility or missing docs, before submitting it to indian consulate for visa review. We had submitted two applications.

CKGS sent teh applications to indian embassy who rejected the application, CKGS failed to let us know in their review process that the application is not applicable and additional docs wold be needed e: mothers proff of indian origin is missing.

we filed it in late July, early August and have been fighting since then, I early october they finally said apply for refund with the refund dept. and to-date no repsonse, accept tat its under review and we will getback.

They took the 2 times 275$ = $550 pretty quickly but when its time to refund its taking them months.

This is theft in broad daylight!!!Desired Settlement: I would like my total of $550 (2 applications - $275 each) refunded to me since the applications were not even eligible, and hat is something CKGS shold have reviewed during their processing time/charge for processing fees.

we paid a total f $590, I ma willing ot forgo the processing fees for $20 each, but need my $550 back

Review: This company provides assistance with processing visas for travel to other countries. I was applying for a travel visa via this company's website, and in the process authorized a charge to my credit to create a return shipping label back to my address. The company charged my credit card for the label, then proceeded to generate a shipping label that was completely incorrect: it has all of another person's information on it instead of mine (someone else's name, someone else's address in a different state than me, even a date of service that was two months ago). I have contacted the company on three separate occasions informing them of the error and requesting a refund for the charges associated with this shipping label. The company has been very difficult to communicate and unwilling to refund my money. I do not wish to do business with this company and would simply like my credit card refunded, as they have charged me for a shipping label that I cannot use, since it has someone else's name and address information.Desired Settlement: I do not wish to do business with this company and would simply like my credit card refunded, as they have charged me for a shipping label that I cannot use, since it has someone else's name and address information.

Review: Cox & Kings Global Services misrepresented how long it would take to process our son's visa application, thus making us unable to go to India.

We submitted an Indian visa application for our son on May [redacted] and it arrived in Cox & Kings Global Services' New York office on the morning of May [redacted]. We were told that they would send the passport to the consulate within one to two business days upon arrival to the office. We were also told that we would get a tracking number by June [redacted]. It is now June [redacted] and we have heard from the Indian Consulate in NYC that they have not yet received our son's application/passport. We do not have any tracking number. We were scheduled to leave for India on Monday 6/** but now it looks like we will need to cancel our $4000 tickets because we do not have a visa for my son.Desired Settlement: We would like a visa for our son delivered by this Friday June [redacted]. Given that is likely impossible at this point, we would like a refund of $95 for our visa application and a refund of $3824.52 for our tickets to India scheduled on June [redacted].

Review: I applied for a Visa on November **, 2014 through their website. It asked for a courier fee of $30.40 x2=60.80. I paid with my credit card, however no shipping label was generated. Since I was traveling at the end of the month I decided to go to NYC the next day 11/**/14 and have it processed in the office. I purchased a US postal money order for my courier fee and paid it at the counter. When I received my credit card statement I noticed that CKGS, never refunded me my original $60.80. I called the customer service number on the website. They directed me to send an email with proof of payment. I sent them my credit card statement and the Postal money order showing proof that I paid twice and I am owed a refund. I have not gotten any response from them. I call almost every day, I think the call center is located in India because they read scripted responses and say that they will have to contact the NY office. I am frustrated. All I want is my money back. They are thieves, and practice shady business dealings.Desired Settlement: I want my money $60.80 refunded to me.

Sincerely,

Review: The Indian embassy has outsourced visas for US citizens traveling to India to a company called Cox and Kings at [redacted] in Manhattan. They deal with providing visas for many states.

This is the situation for obtaining a visa for travel to India. Completed visa applications and passports are to be submitted to Cox and Kings who accepts payment for visas and handles the documentation. Cox and Kings submits the applications and passports to the Indian Consulate at [redacted] in Manhattan who approves and provides visas in your passport. The passport and visa is then sent back to Cox and Kings where visas can be picked up 3-5 business days after submission. This is the only way to get a visa for travel to India.

Monday June [redacted] submitted my passport, documentation and paid the fee for visa processing to Cox and Kings. I returned Monday June [redacted] to be told my passport is in Cox and Kings, however they were unable to locate my passport. I waited until 12:30am, was promised a phone call by 10am the following day, Tuesday June [redacted] for an update regarding if they have fund my passport or not. I did not receive a phone call. I returned to Cox and Kings Tuesday and was treated rudely by the [redacted] of the organization and was told they still have not located my visa and passport. The company mismanagement of my passport has resulted in my not being able to travel to India. Currently, I have lost $750 for flight cancellation from NY to India. $118.41 for a flight I was unable to take in India since I was not able to travel there, $269.82 lost for a hotel I was unable to cancel, $165 spent on travelers vaccines that I received for travel to India and $82.05 for the visa Cox and Kings did not provide me with. In addition, my passport is still in the possession of Cox and Kings.

Please see below for further information regarding the situation at Cox and Kings. This is a letter I sent to Mayor De Blasio.

People are unable to obtain their passports let alone visas after turning in documentation to Cox and Kings. We are told to wait outside on the side walk or in a small hallway which is certainly a fire hazard for many hours. Questions are unanswered, management is dismissive and the bottom line is people are turning in documentation for a visa and our documents are being mishandled, left in disorganized, unfiled boxes and not being returned. Many people simply want their passport back and no longer care if they get a visa! The company is unable to find the passports! People travel from all over New York. Yesterday I met people who traveled from Boston and Ohio who also left empty handed after many hours of waiting on the sidewalk. Last night, I waited along with at least 12 others until 12:30am to be told that they continue to “search for our passports”. And we were PROMISED a call between 9am-10am Tuesday morning for an update regarding if they have located our passports or not. 10am came and went and no phone call. We are told pick up time for visas is between 4pm and 6pm. Well guess what, yesterday 4-6pm came and went and everyone was still waiting outside, about 40 people. No one was given their passport. Many waited until 10-11pm easily. The few who remained until midnight also did not get their passport. Someone from the crowd did call the cops. I paid over 80 dollars for a visa Monday June [redacted], the processing time we are told is 3-5 business days. I returned Monday June [redacted] to be told my passport is in Cox and Kings however the management (more like mismanagement) of the organization (more like disorganization) was unable to find my passport. In addition to the many hours I lost waiting for nothing, I also had to cancel my trip to India where I planned to volunteer with Mother Teresa’s Ministry for the Dying and Destitute. I lost money for the airline ticket cancellation, hotels, vaccinations and medications required before traveling to India, the cost of the visa that never came in addition to no longer having my passport, missing time from work and wasting my vacation time waiting for my documentation that is still lost somewhere in Cox and Kings. This is not just my story, it is the story of many people who are trying to get a visa for India in the New York area. Please investigate immediately, you won’t be sorry.Desired Settlement: I would like Cox and Kings to refund me the money lost for my trip to India since they are unable to repay me my time. I would also like my passport to be returned. Please investigate the business as well. They are mishandling important documentation of many people.

Review: I send my Passport for Visa stamp and also send two priority envelop to sent my passport back and cox and king lost my priority envelop and send my passport without stamp envelop and it lost in mail and I did not get my passport on time , my travel date was arrived and I had to pay for New passport and New visa , it cost me about 900.00 dollars to

get it done.Desired Settlement: I need my money back which cox and king employ made mistake, I am survivor cancer patient and my family paid for my trip but because of cox and king mistake I had to pay 900.00 dollars from my pocket. I responded on August [redacted] telling them the money order number and the tracking number of application. On August [redacted] they stated again the needed proof of payment in form of reciept. On August [redacted] I went to the bank and got the copy of money order and a copy of the cashed money order which shows that it was cashed by CKGS (Cox & Kings). I scanned and emailed them the copy and have not heard back since. They have yet to refund my money despite not providing the service the money order was for.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,

Consumer

Review: I sent my Canadian Passport for an Indian Visa and an Indian Passport for renunciation to their offices on [redacted] June 2014. I sent 120 $ in a Bankers Draft and another $ 195 + 60+ 30 by online CC transactions for all the costs associated with the visa issual and the renunciation. They failed to act even after multiple phone calls and my trip times came and went. Hence I sent in a withdrawal request which they received via [redacted] on 07/**/2014. They stated that my passports would be back in 3 working days.

After 3 weeks I still have not gotten my passports back. I contact them every day on the phone- this goes to somewhere in India and they can't help me. I am a doctor and need to travel for my work and unfortunately I am unable to do so as these guys have my passportsDesired Settlement: Send my passports back ASAP after I sent in my withdrawal request, refund me my money and try to get better customer service who are on site and actually know what is happening
