Dean's Professional Plumbing, Heating & Air Reviews (77)

Brad from Dean's recently installed a new Water Heater. After he left I had a question after reviewing the user manual. I called Dean's and Brad came back out to explain the issue I was concerned about and explained that I didn't need to expense what I thought should be done and why. He did not charge me for the one-on-on visit.

Ray was professional and friendly. We would recommend him and Dean's Professional to anyone.

Very professional, knowledgeable and thorough. I greatly appreciated getting explanations and helpful hints.

Friendly, professional and did a nice job.

First Deans cancelled my appointment at 2:45 when I had a 12-4 window, which caused me to waste a perfectly good afternoon. I explained I could not do a morning appointment, but I would be willing to take another 12-4 window for the next day. Deans then proceeded to leave several message the next morning to see if they could come out. When I retrieved the messages at noon I called and they said someone would be there at 1:00pm, I said I'll be there at 1:10, and they said that would be ok. So I arrived on time and waited until 1:40, and then I called asking what was going on. Once again I was told the tech had been held up at the previous job and it would be another 30 minutes. I had told everyone at Deans that I was coming from 30 minutes away and would need to bring my grandmother and one year old with, so I didn't want them stuck in the car too long, as I currently am renting my house. At last I met the tech and he was very nice. He said it would cost around $275 to cap my hot water radiator, and that was what appeared on the estimate. But also on the estimate was a $348 charge for draining and purging the system. I explained to the tech, that I knew how to drain and purge the system, so I didn't require that service. We agreed that I would call him the next day at noon to verify the boiler system was drained. I then retuned to the house later that night to drain the system. The next morning I received voicemail from Deans saying they were no longer willing to perform the service because they did not think that service would fix the problem. Deans wasted Wednesday and Thursday of waiting for a service they were unwilling to perform after providing me with both a written and verbal agreement. I now have to wait until Monday to get decent people in to fix the problem. Deans does not want to fix things for a fair price, but try and make an extra buck. Dishonest and very unreliable, beware!

Talked to [redacted] on 2/12/18 @ 1:09pm to discuss his concerns with the service.  We had both agreed to refund the 69.00 travel charge, and [redacted] was happy with that.  All is taken care of. Thanks,Troy [redacted]Plumbing Service ManagerDeans Professional Plumbing

I had an emergency plumbing issue tonight. A pinhole leak was spraying our basement. Dean's sent out an excellent plumber who immediately found the problem, fixed it, and also helped refer me to a company who can help me tear up the carpet and will bring fans.
Dean's was super nice (phone reps and in person), quickly responded, efficient and so nice to work with.

On 08/27/15, I had a plumber from Deans come to my father's house to do repair on the water main. The work they did was thorough and complete. They coordinated the work with the city (to turned off the water at the street level), were considerate to the homeowners needs, very knowledgeable, professional, and kept things clean. I have no doubts in recommending Dean's Professional Plumping, Heating & Air to anyone.

I just like to see Deans Professional Plumbing, Heating and Air company is a total scam. My heating furnace flame sensor rod wire broke and since it was Sunday I could not get the part. I ended up calling Deans to repair it. they charge $60 for the service and plus parts. Frist when the service guy arrived said I needed a new furnace because I needed a new circuit board and fan total cost $2500. Then I told him I just need the flame sensor rod which he quoted me for $450 where the part only cost average of $25. I am writing this review because I do not want anyone to get scammed by these people.

Do not book an appointment with Dean's if your time is important to you.
I had a sump pump out with a very wet basement and I was scheduled for the following morning. I received a call that morning and was told that they couldn't make my appointment. The only options they gave me were to either reschedule for the following day or pay an emergency fee to be seen in the evening. Even after a manager was notified, these were the only remedies. I would think that they would either wave the emergency fee or offer something else to keep their customer happy.

Once again Tyler did an excellent job installing our hot water tank. He does a great job. He is detailed, and very friendly, and does a wonderful job. Dean's Plumming will have all our future business.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory as long as they send it

Have Dean's come out to do an emergency replacement of my water heater and they did a fantastic job. Specifically Tim L. from Deans did a fantastic job! They were out in an hour, very professional and were able to replace the tank in a short period of time. The tech who came out did a great job making sure I knew what was going on at all times and really made sure that I was comfortable with the work he did and in how the take operated. I would really recommend these guys.

Joe S. Was the first Dean's representative I dealt with. He came out after hours on a Friday night get our furnace running again. As he stated was likely, the repair was temporary and could fail quickly. He helped me choose a furnace based on need and cost. I scheduled an install for the following Monday. The installers for this job were Scott and Kevin. They were both friendly, helpful, and made short work of the installation. They also gave me helpful information to help maintain and keep my furnace running efficiently. I would recommend Dean's to anyone needing a new furnace installed. The pricing was reasonable and did not change.

We came home to no hot water after a weekend camping trip. Tim came out on an emergency call on a Sunday night and provided excellent service. He got our heater working again, but after talking through our options we decided to schedule a replacement due to the age of our unit and the likelihood it would happen again. Tim was very professional and friendly and knowledgeable, and we never felt pressured. He was straight forward in going over our options and we felt very comfortable and reassured. We plan to use Dean's for our future plumbing and hvac needs.

The sale and installation of a new furnace was professional and very timely in all aspects. Joe was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Very good experience. Scheduling is prompt and they are very good about explaining what needs to be done and costs. Reasonable charges.

I am sorry that this issue hasn’t been resolved. We have been in contact with [redacted] for several months through phone and email. 5/15/17 We sent a technician to look over the furnace and he explained that he found a failing heat exchanger. We offer a $1700.00 credit because we felt it might have...

been cause by the improperly installed return air drop we installed . 5/23/17 we reached out to see what direction he wanted to go and were told that he had another company out and they confirmed the failing heat exchanger and that he was having a new furnace installed with them. 6/21/17 we called and left a message. 6/21/17-6/28/17 Deans and [redacted] emailed back and forth about getting pictured and compensation at which time I respondedabout the pictures. 7/19/17; “I have looked over the pictures you sent me. I do agree with the couple pictures you sent there doesn’t appear to be any large cracks although we stated it was starting to fail. What I’m not understanding is you had another company come out and look over the furnace and they told you it was failing as well. You chose to go with them for their expertise and price and now it is somehow on us? I told you originally that we would credit you $1700.00 and that still stands. I hope this helps you with the process. Please let me know. I would sincerely like to get this resolved.” We would like to help get this resolved. Thanks Mtthew [redacted] HVAC Manager
