Desert King Windows

Purchased replacement windows for entire home in 2010. At the time the sales person gave me what was called an "Upgraded Promotional Warranty Package." It says glass breakage is covered for as long as the consumer resides at the address under the window mart protection plan. It was explained by the salesman that the window would be replaced free of charge in case of breakage for any reason.

Recently discovered crack in large living room window that emanates from a corner of the window, and was not struck or hit in any way. In my opinion a manufacturing defect of some sort.

Called Desert King and they said broken glass is not covered by manufacturer after 3 years.That I would have to pay for repairs.

Called back and they said that they did not know about " Updated Promotional Warranty Package " that the glass would be covered, but that an installation charge of $ 200.00 would be assessed .

That is not what was told to me by salesman, and does not in the paperwork I have from salesman.

I feel this is fraud on the part of Desert King Windows.

Just had 5 windows installed this A.M. Very happy with the work that Cooper and Matt did at my home. Very professional, everything was cleaned up, and the windows were cleaned before they left. I feel I got great windows for the price. Very happy with Daniel, my salesperson, answered my questions and no high pressure to purchase. I would recommend this company to anyone wishing great good quality windows.

Our experience with Desert King Windows was positive from start to finish. Their salesman, Daniel, came to our home upon our request. A complete explanation was given of their product, the benefit of them, the cost and information on their installation. What impressed us was that their window installers work for Desert King, they are not contract workers. Also their installers are well trained and experienced. Additionally, the two installers, James and Chad were professional, always on time and left the house neat and clean...inside and outside. Our much loved dog died the morning of the scheduled installation. When my husband called Desert King Windows to explain that we could not have the window installed that day, they kindly moved the date of installation up for us. and they over night expressed a beautiful wind chime for us in memory of our dog. We love our new windows and have noted a decrease in our electric bill. We highly rate and recommend Desert King Windows!

Kenny K[redacted], service Manager for Desert King Windows, was at our house to perform a routine maintenance job. He did a very good job fixing the lock and was very professional in his approach. He also spent time answering other questions we had on the Windows and sliders that we had installed one year ago. We have confidence that should we have other issues with their products, they will be taken care of efficiently and thoroughly. [redacted].

We just had 15 windows and 1 sliding glass door replaced. This was the best experience we could have hoped for. From Liz, sales rep., down to the installers. Nick and Jeremy were very professional and efficient. We love our windows, and will definitely recommend this family owned business to anyone who needs quality products and top drawer service.

We had a problem with a side window on our bay window, it kept sticking and wouldn't slide properly, called DKW and they sent Kenny out to fix the problem. He ordered the parts and when they came in he installed the parts and window is fine again.Very satisfied with DKW, the windows were warranted for lifetime, we have had them for 30 years and I would recommend them as a solid investment for your home.

We at Desert King Windows have been working with the windows manufacturer of these units, [redacted] Windows, as well as the customer to rectify these issues since April. On Sunday, 4/6/2014, Desert King Windows received a comment on the company's [redacted] page saying "cheap leaky windows". This,...

being the first time we had heard the customer was unhappy, immediately sparked us into action to resolve the issue. We do everything we can to ensure our customers are 100% satisfied.

3 days later, Desert King Windows Service Tech, [redacted], was at the customers house to look at a leak, as well as fix a punctured screen. This being a completely out of the norm issue, [redacted] took notes, tested the window with a garden hose to see the leak and decided that the best course of action was to contact the manufacturer with the issue. [redacted] also tested the other windows in the house and found the same problem in a few other units. In the years [redacted] has worked with energy efficient windows, he has NEVER seen this problem before.

[redacted] immediately reported to [redacted] Windows about the leaky windows. This issue made its way through the [redacted] warranty process and was reported back to us. Due to the abnormal issue, this process has taken more time to rectify. [redacted], requested for [redacted] to try a few more things.

On 4/29, [redacted] was back to the customers house with a few things to try. One was to simply clean out all weep holes of the window and any debris that could possibly have clogged the drainage system in each window. Then, if that doesn't work, picture the issue and send in to [redacted]. [redacted] did all of these.

A few weeks later, [redacted] requested video to be taken as well as check for screws on the bottom rail and check the window for plumb. [redacted] was also to run a wire to "snake" the drainage system. On 5/28 all of these were performed. None of this worked so the video was sent to [redacted] along with a request from Desert King Windows to provide total replacement of the windows in question.

Over the next month, Desert King Windows have been going back and forward with [redacted] Warranty Department and awaiting final word. Again, due to the nature of the issue and the fact that they are custom windows, this has taken time to fix. Desert King Management has been in contact with the customer every couple of weeks and has assured the customer that this will be resolved and we are going through the process. We have also apologized for the length of time this has taken to do so.

On 7/10, We received a message form the Revdex.com that the customer has filed a complaint. This was a shock to us because we are in the middle of resolving the issue and awaiting word from the Manufacturer, [redacted]. The owner of Desert King Windows, [redacted], called [redacted] and demanded these windows to be replaced immediately. On Monday, 7/14/14 [redacted] agreed to furnish 5 new windows for our customers. [redacted] also called the customers to let them know that Desert King Windows will be replacing the 5 leaking windows at no charge and to again apologize for the length of time. The customer said they are excited to get the windows replaced and that they are satisfied. The customer thanked us. Desert King Windows is committed to keeping its customers happy and are scared to death to receive a complaint :).

I recently purchased three fairly large replacement windows for my home from Desert King. Peter, from their service department, came to my home to personally measure my windows. He clearly presented information about my most cost effective options and explained how the entire process would be handled if I chose to proceed with Desert King. This was not a high pressure sales pitch like I got from other companies. My windows arrived in the time that I was promised, and I was able to get installation scheduled fairly quickly. On installation day, Peter arrived to do the installation personally. He arrived on time, and with all of the tools and materials that were required. He had many years of experience, and it showed in the professional manner that he handled every aspect of the install. On most window replacement installations, there are unexpected challenges. Our case was no different. Fortunately, Peter was able to overcome those challenges, and we are very satisfied with our new windows.

I recently purchased 20 windows through this company May 2016 which so far I am happy with the windows. The installation, however, was the worst! The work was completed in two days when I was told it would take three and I know why. The installers left holes, chips and gouges in the drywall along with dirty scuff marks around every windows but one.

The outside of the windows had large gaps on top and bottom with caulk and extensive stucco repair. When I noticed a window not finished on the outside, I called the installer who told me he was too busy to fix it and to make an appointment to get it fixed. I had painters four days later come and pressure wash prior to painting. Guess which window leaked? And it didn't just leak, the water poured into the house. Luckily, when I called for service George was good enough to send two guys over to fix it. They fixed that window and also noticed the window next to it was not finished either. (The person answering the phone could not find my purchase or installation information even though it was done just a week prior and they had just cashed my check).

My neighbor was nice enough to recommend this company to me and was totally appalled by the damage done to my home since he did not have a single issue. He and I have made many phone calls to the company but I have yet to hear back from them. I have also emailed pictures of the damages done but those have gone unanswered.

It is an embarrassment to have people come into my home and see the mess left behind by the installers. Any money saved on electric is going to be spent on drywall repairs and painting.

Ron was our sales associate and a heck of a nice guy! Unfortunately our windows were installed incorrectly and began leaking shortly after. Kenny came out and told us that he's always cleaning up Frenchie's poor work. Three leaked and all the other sliders had to be balanced before they did the same. We asked Ron to turn it into his GL carrier so we could be indemnified for this loss. Fix the damage, paint, etc. and he refused to do so and State Farm sent a letter saying they would not step in unless Ron wanted them to. We took him to small claims where it was determined indeed that they did a terrible job putting the windows in. We were granted a settlement and the owner is now paying us installments after two years of dealing with this. Water damage, mold, dust and multiple repairs. Business over working family... They must be hurting financially. Be careful before you go with them!

We just had new Windows installed by Desert King. Our installer was Nick Sommer, he was professional, well informed with the product - had no reservation leaving the condo for a couple hours while he did his work. Very impressive young man.we would recommend Desert King to anyone looking to buy new Windows.

My wife and I just got 2 new windows and a new sliding glass door for our Chandler home. I was pleased from the beginning of the process. From the sales team to the installation, we received first class treatment. We are thrilled with the results and the installer even matched the trim with our other windows on the interior of our home. I would recommend Desert King Windows to anyone looking to upgrade or replace windows in their home. The craftsmanship is very impressive and our house is much cooler now due to having much better insulation in our home.

We replaced all our windows from Deser King 10 years ago . We have been enjoying reduced energy bills and peace and quiet from the premium dual pane windows. Recently I noticed some of the outside window trim was separated. I called them and came and repaired them at no charge .
