A while back I parked in one of Diamond Parking's lots while out shopping with my sisterI went to pay the meter and realized that the machines were from the stone age and only accepted specific coins or payment with your credit card over the phoneAs it is currently and neither my sister nor I had any change on us, and neither felt comfortable giving our credit card information over the phone to a company we were unfamiliar with, we opted to get change from the store next doorWhen we returned there was no ticket on the window, so we happily bought a parking pass from the meterOver a month later an overdue notice showed up in the mail, which caused me to google the alleged lot to piece together when I could have possibly parked thereNaturally I contacted their customer service line and was met with the most bitter representative I have ever had the pleasure of speaking to over the phoneWhen I realized that I wasn't getting anywhere I politely requested to speak to a supervisor to which I was refused and told that I had no option but to pay the undeserved infractionThis led me to emailing most of their high up employees, who's email they conveniently list on their websiteThe response emails I received were neither useful nor polite and only fuelled my upset about the situationI recommend all store owners end their contracts with this company as they have little to no customer service skill and according to google are giving away more than one unwarranted infractionFurther dealings with this parking company has the potential to drive away happy patrons

I am rejecting this
response because: It was not clear to me that I was not allowed to briefly leave the parking lot as I had followed the instructions and shopped at one of the stores surrounding the parking lot. I have lived in Edmonton over years and never have come across such a parking arrangement involving a private parking lot. At that time in the morning the parking lot was virtually empty so it was not like I was preventing someone else from parking and doing business in the area. Prior to filing this response I had read all of the similar complaints against Diamond Parking and in some of the cases the parking notice was rescinded. I had not heard of this company or such a parking arrangement so I believe I should have my notice appeal granted

However the bases on which ticket was issued is totally unaccepted and I am surprised that organization issuing illegal tickets is allowed to stay in business. Diamond Parking Services should clear their act together or get out of business and not be allow to carry any business licence in Edmonton, and preferably in the whole Canada
