response because:  It was not clear to me that I was not allowed to briefly leave the parking lot as I had followed the instructions and shopped at one of the stores surrounding the parking lot.  I have lived in Edmonton over 30 years and never have come across such a parking arrangement involving a private parking lot.  At that time in the morning the parking lot was virtually empty so it was not like I was preventing someone else from parking and doing business in the area.  Prior to filing this response I had read all of the similar complaints against Diamond Parking and in some of the cases the parking notice was rescinded.  I had not heard of this company or such a parking arrangement so I believe I should have my notice appeal granted.

Thank you for the information. This notice was issued for parking and leaving the premises. This facility has signs posted throughout the property indicating it is 3 hours maximum parking while conducting business. There is...

no bus or transit parking permitted as per the posted rules. A photo sample of the signs is attached.

A while back I parked in one of Diamond Parking's lots while out shopping with my sister. I went to pay the meter and realized that the machines were from the stone age and only accepted specific coins or payment with your credit card over the phone. As it is currently 2015 and neither my sister nor I had any change on us, and neither felt comfortable giving our credit card information over the phone to a company we were unfamiliar with, we opted to get change from the store next door. When we returned there was no ticket on the window, so we happily bought a parking pass from the meter. Over a month later an overdue notice showed up in the mail, which caused me to google the alleged lot to piece together when I could have possibly parked there. Naturally I contacted their customer service line and was met with the most bitter representative I have ever had the pleasure of speaking to over the phone. When I realized that I wasn't getting anywhere I politely requested to speak to a supervisor to which I was refused and told that I had no option but to pay the undeserved infraction. This led me to emailing most of their high up employees, who's email they conveniently list on their website. The response emails I received were neither useful nor polite and only fuelled my upset about the situation. I recommend all store owners end their contracts with this company as they have little to no customer service skill and according to google are giving away more than one unwarranted infraction. Further dealings with this parking company has the potential to drive away happy patrons.

Thank you for your inquiry. This parking notice was issued for exceeding the posted time limit of the location. It is 60 minutes while dining. Do you have documentation of your purchases for the date and time in question? If so, please send to your Revdex.com rep so it can be reviewed.

response because: parking stalls do not indicate reserve for [redacted] "only" and as you can see the picture the advertise sign at the parking lot also does not indicate restrictions for [redacted] only....diamonds parking is misleading the public.

Hello, thank you for your inquiry. Please provide a notice reference number for review. The signage at most of our locations indicate that the parking is while shopping and that you are not permitted to leave the property without your vehicle. Thank you,

Hi [redacted], the notice was not wrongfully issued. All guests are required to sign in as per the owner councils' rules and regulations. It is actually the owners responsibility to inform their guests of these rules. In addition, when you enter...

either of the lobbies, the log book is quite prominent. Again, this complaint is not a Diamond Parking issue - I would advise to take it to the tenant you were visiting.

The notice was wrongfully issued as I had initially stated, and I refuse to pay the amount. This is indeed an issue with Diamond Parking as your employee had issued the "ticket" and it is under your company name.
I will not stand down on this matter until the appropriate resolution is made. If you will not drop the charges, and/or attempt to harass me with collection calls I will gather proof that I was at the stated residence under appropriate means and will not be afraid to take legal action.
