Diamond Resorts International Reviews (60)

My fiance and I have a timeshare through DiamondI am constantly disappointed by the experiences we have had with themWe were at the [redacted] resort in May without water periodically the entire time, having to carry a baby and stroller over holes and exposed pipes in the ground due to more maintenance issues, not being able to use the pool due to remodeling etc- and NO discounted rate for any of thatAlso, we wanted to use our points to book a stay at a local resort in Estes ParkOh, we can stayBut not with our pointsWe would have to payBecause Diamond wants to make even MORE money off of usIt makes zero sense that someone with membership cant book with points, but can book to pay in cashUnbelievableThe power of yes doesn't exist here- creating memorable vacations here just turns into a nightmareSo disappointed in all of our experiences even though I enter each one optimisticMembers are not valued except for when they are trying to wine&dine you into buying more

This company engages in what I believe are very deceptive practices We have a time share ownership that was bought out by Diamond Resorts They now treat us as an unwanted step-child They frequently imply that unless we buy into their program (which means spending thousands of dollars) we might find it very difficult to get reservations when we want them because their clients now have access to the home resorts that are part of their program while we do not have access to their resort with out buying into it Recently we attended one of their sales meetings We were ready to purchase a "trial" membership to see how their program works, until we saw the actual contract and realized that the information in the contract was vastly different than what we were offered in our sales pitch They would not give us copies of the information they wrote down during their sales pitch, and made not apology for the contract they tried to sneak past us

High pressure sales Property keeps getting resold Fees keep increasing Resorts mid level, not as nice as [redacted] or [redacted] Poor customer service

Customer service representatives were not helpful nor friendly In general, poor communication with customers They were not able to contact me via phone and kept calling me regarding my last payment instead of emailing me (which they verified while we were on the phone) or sending a letter I was away for work and traveling and unable to call and a voicemail was never left so I thought it was a scam number In the meantime over the last month I accumulated interest for not paying the last payment and the customer service representative couldn't or wouldn't do anything to waive or decrease some of the interest fees since I did not receive other communications regarding this since I was on automatic payment

I have stayed at the [redacted] Resorts several timesThis is my experience the week of Feb 14- My big complaint is the Diamond International Sales Staff I had not been to an "Update" in years for the reason my husband does not go on our Disney TripsAnd according to Diamond International I can not make any financial decisions on my own I made the mistake of telling [redacted] at the desk my husband would join us on FridayWe usually received two calls a day to set up the appointment for Friday, and on Wednesday we received FIVE calls Talk about harassment we finally set up a minute presentation with a $deposit on how to use our time share more efficiently and with a promise of a $gift cardThe presentation dragged out to 1/hours until my daughter came up with my three yr old grandson who was anxiously awaiting to go to Magic Kingdom The whole thing was just another sales pitchWe were told because we were on the lowest level, points we were not entitled to see all the Resort Listings and would never be put on a priority list However if we upgraded our points at $a point at a 17.99% interest rate we would be a valued memberWhen we resisted the point fee was dropped to an old rate of $a point with 11.99% interest And of course we had to sign that wonderful rate at that time only Our sales person than sent in her manager and we said we would need to think about it He then sent over another sales person, a very rude sales person, who slammed a paper down for us stating we we not going to consider this opportunityFinally we left and went downstairs to accept our promised $gift card [redacted] proceeded to tell us it was $75.00, however my daughter took many of the calls and she very loudly said Oh No [redacted] the card is for $ We did receive the $ My advice DO NOT go to Diamond Resort Seminars, a true scam, and keep in mind my measly points cost us $per year in maintenance fees

My wife and I were promised days and nights in (quote) "Our exciting resort destinations" We made time and attended the presentation and received the vacation reward certificate When trying to redeem it we found out that it is going to be a low level star hotel and nothing like a diamond resort location! I guess I should have known betterbut this is a lesson well learned Those people are crooks and the whole thing is a fraudThey are very well trained to fool you Stay away and beware

I was contacted by a call center to get vacations for touring the resortsI was told to go to 5starvactionsvip.com to check the possible resorts to stay atI picked the Palm Canyon in Palm Springs after getting the confirmation we realized that we were booked at Palm Mtn., not Palm CanyonI tried to get this fixed by talking to person after person and everyone pretty much said "that's the way it is"No one cared that they are advertising since there is nothing about the Palm MtnanywhereI explained that if we are interested in buying we want to stay at the Resort we are interested in, still deniedThen I asked if we could at least use the facilities while we are out there, denied againHow can you deny someone that is a possible customer the use of the product you are trying to sell! Oh well, there loss, they sure won't be getting our business

I sold my time share to a friend of mine over days ago and still Diamond Resorts has not taken my name off the deed I was told it would take only to days Now I am being told it will take over as they are just too busy That is BS! They charged me an a ridiculous price to do a deed transfer over $120, when the Clark COunty office only charges $ Diamond Resorts is a RIP OFF and will charge you for every little thing I sold my timeshare as I don't use it anymore and don't want to be bothered with itI am on the phone more with them now then I ever have been before, since my friends loves to travel who bought it and I have to book everything Diamond Resorts is the WORST! Stay away! They will do nothing to help and seem to be everythign they can to upset you Customer service SUCKS!

James [redacted] and his group use bait and switch on ads for hotels T hey promise one rate and charge another - and then charge 10% of amount charged as a retention They do not disclose anything up front It is sad because out of town guest get ripped off by these liars I hope they feel good about ripping off hard working families in az STAY AWAY FROM THIS GROUP

Hi, my name is [redacted] M [redacted] , I own my timeshare with [redacted] who was bought out by Diamond since then they have rasied my dues considerably and have used scare tatics to try get me to buy in to there timeshareI thought that when a company buys another you become them [redacted] was a good time share Diamond is a very bad timesharenow I dont want to go to any of my resorts the last time I went was in I even was willing to give my time share to them free of charge and they said no because they dont want to loose my yearly dues that are outrages, and will continue to explode higher to pay for [redacted] 's life of luxury, I wish he would change his first name, he give it a bad nameplease do not believe there typical response to mine am=nd everybody elses complaints, THEY DONT CARE!!!!!!!!!!!

Diamond Resorts has huge problems They have operational issues that never get resolved While their customer service people are nice, but never actually resolved a problem This goes for the management of the association as well as actual resort site general managers They charge a "voluntary" donation fee on every bill that you have to call to have deleted on every bill They say that they do not have the technology to delete this permanently That is simply untrue I would think very carefully before becoming a member of Diamond

My experience with Diamond Resorts has been positiveI am concerned about the fact that they have high maintenance fees, but in their dealings with me they have been straight forwardNo complaintsThe properties are nice and the staff at the properties treat people very well

I don't know what is WRONG with these peopleI am on the DNC list, and they call me multiple times a day, and have for quite smoe time, even though I have demanded it stopI was told it would STILL take another days to stop the callsI have been on the DNC list for YEARSWhat part of NO NOT CALL list escapes these people? I have blocked the number, and it still gets through Why would ANYONE consider EVER doing business with people who harass that person at home, multiple times a day, and who will not stop? If I WANT a vacation home, I'll BUY oneGO AWAY and STAY AWAYSTOP Harassing me

I have stayed at the Polo Towers in Las Vegas before for the central locationI purchased night package from a Diamond Resort sales person, which assured me I can use it for the Polo Towers When I called to book the package I was told it is for the use of owners only and that I was misinformedI asked for a refund since I will not be getting what I paid for, but they refused that as well I spoke to a supervisor who treated me like I was the lair and refused to provide what was promised to me by Diamond

I think it is very unfortunate that so many people have had such poor experiences with timeshares/vacation clubs, myself included While it was probably not the best choice, I was no dissatisfied as a *** *** Vacations owner
Since Diamond Resorts has taken them on it has been a struggle of trying to rid myself of this counter-investment I have already paid off my mortgage yet I am now told by DRI that if I do not buy at least $more into their points (which I do not understand since they own MGV), my maintenance fees will skyrocket If I buy more points thourgh DRI, won't I have to pay more anyway?
They made me feel like I had no choice but to buy I chose door #2, looking at lawyers or title transfer I'd rather pay them money to get rid of this than pay more money to something I don't want and DEFINITELY do not want to saddle my children with Do not buy, you will regret it and it will be a never-ending cycle of trying to get you to buy more

On August 18th - 21st I stayed at Riviera Oaks Resort & Racquet Club By Diamond ResortsMy stay there was pleasant and without incidentUpon check out I inquired about a note left on the door for a free day night stay at one of your other locationsI was told by the front desk that a concierge would contact me within a few days to provide me with details on how the promotion worksI received a voicemail message later that day from someone at this company but never returned the call or made contact with anyone regarding purchasing a vacation packageOn Saturday, September 10th , nearly one mth later I logged on my bank acct & noticed a pending transaction for a vacation purchase of which I never authorizedUpon speaking w/ someone in Customer Service, it was discovered that one of their employees took the credit card number that I used to book my reservation without my knowledge or consent and & purchased a vacation packageWaiting to hear how they intend to make this right

I have searched and searched for a way to opt-out of the commercial advertising phone calls I stayed at one resort and did have an acceptable time However, the consistent phone calls over the past months have tainted my view of the company and I will not be staying with them again I have repeatedly requested to be removed from the call list Each time I am abruptly hung up on The next week, I receive another phone call and the cycle continues
It is ridiculous that there is not a method to fill out a final request to opt-out of these calls These types of advertisements should be onot assumed at time of stay If you truly wanted to be customer oriented then you would seek my opinion while I was on premises and then respect my right to privacy after I leave

Deeply regret this $25K purchase We bought a "sampler" package, but agent lied to us during second presentation when we bought a membershipHad I known the truth would never have purchasedWe didn't find out until weeks later, well after the cancel option period had ended Then it's "he said, she said" We signed the paperwork, we're over It's a very bad deal, leaving us quite bitter Can't believe we fell for it

We purchased as a "Select Club" memberAs with others, they promised many options that they have not delivered in the years we have ownedWe have gone to presentations when they said they would help us with reservations as we could never get the places we wantedInstead, it is just a sales pitch for selling more pointsWe even showed them the places we have stayed at and that they averaged $a night and none of them were worth the money we paid for the pointsThey didn't even care about that bit of informationAnd, yes, they always send in the third guy with another pitchWe consider this the worst loss of money in our years of marriage and we are getting outYes, we were stupid to get into Diamond, but we were there for hours and they made it look good, but a lot was promised and wasn't trueWe are on a fixed income but still have to work to enjoy extra travel. We will stick with RCI which is much more reasonable for us, but even that has changed

My wife and I wanted to get away for the weekend to celebrate New Years at a nice hotel When checking in, the hotel was giving out promotionals with $gift certification to attend a presentation We agreed Once there, we felt pressured We wasn't going to sign any paperwork, but the lady said they weren't going to run our credit report After we left, I checked my credit report and learned that they ran a hard check on my credit report and we opted out right away They were dishonest because I ask them if they were going to check my credit report at least times and they did it anyway I spent years cleaning up my credit report and had no inquiries for years And now this company is on there and I can't get them off!
Will never deal with them again!
