Digital Storm Reviews (%countItem)

Spent a month waiting, every step took the maximum amount of days to get it to shipping and to me, when I received the product and saw the way the accessories box was packaged I had a horrible feeling the 2000 dollars I absolutely shouldn’t have spent, was going to be a waste. Sure enough from the first day out of the box the computer wouldn’t post. At first I thought it was a Graphics card issue. Or a monitor issue. I realized the computer wasn’t actually turning on at all just the lights and fans. After the 6th day and having to unplug and re plug in the PSU to get the computer to MAYBE turn on, I have decided to pack it up and return it. All customer service did was tell me the OS was running fine when it would fire up... which common sense tells me obviously if it did finally turn on you’d read good numbers while it’s running. They then tried to tell me my monitor was the source of the issue. I personally busted that myth and I’m tired of dealing with this company. I’m so aggravated I may just drive from Washington state to Cali to talk in person for they seem to only respond to emails on their terms within business hours. Unbelievable.

I ordered the Nova 15 laptop. The laptop itself is nice enough, but it has a couple of problems. First, it will not boot unless it is on ac power, even with a full charge. Second, anytime it installs updates I have to reset the BIOS or it freezes during boot. I have contacted digital storm twice about this and gotten no reply either time. Absolutely terrible support, which is disappointing because that is one of the main reasons that I bought from a custom builder instead of Asus or Dell. Lesson learned

I usually dont write reviews but I have been disappointed in the service I've received. I put in an order a couple weeks ago and they still have made no progress on my computer. All they have been doing is extending the delivery date way past the expected time they put on their site. It seems that they can not keep their delivery promises they put on their site. Hopefully the computer is better than the service I have recieved.

The costumer service is pretty short in my opinion. I ordered my pc about a week before christmas 2019,there website has not changed at all from the time I ordered, just states payment successful being sent to build.
On my first phone call the guy didnt seem to know what order I was referring to and said he would talk to managment and call me back, two days later after know return phone call I was givin a date of it being shipped Jan 8th (3 weeks after I placed the order.) Well that day came and went so I called back and was givin another shipment date which is now supposed to be the 13th of Jan. I hope it arrives soon and is in working order.
I would not recommend this company unless they get the company in order

I ordered my "Digital Storm Velox ($2,271- $2,071 with the holiday promo) near the end of November. I was told I would be notified whenever there would be any changes to my account. Time went by and out of curiosity I called to find out what was going on with my order. I was told that my order was going well and was in stage 2 and that I may possibly receive it at the end of December. After a few weeks I hadn't received any emails on my order getting beyond stage 2 so I called once again. I was then told everything was moving fine with the order and i'd receive an email on any updates! I finally got an email on Dec. 23rd stating they planned on sending it out on the 31st! IT'S NOW JANUARY 2ND! No emails or updates about my account. Just got off the phone with the customer service rep(who has literally been the only pleasant person I've dealt with this entire transaction) she let me know that the case I had ordered was backordered! and I shouldn't expect my PC until the END OF JANUARY! Obviously this news is not acceptable! In order to get my PC sent to me by the 15TH! I had to downgrade my PC case and spend $159 on "3 day guaranteed" delivery. This is hands down the worst company I've ever had to deal with! Zero communication and people seem to just say whatever they can to make you believe everything is ok. I could've purchased this PC at 5 other companies and received before X-mas! I ordered this PC at the END OF NOVEMBER! and I'm told I am to expect it on the 15TH OF JANUARY and thats only because I had to PAY MORE for the extra shipping. I don't feel I've been compensated enough for the delay/stress and just overall horrible service this company has provided. I will never recommend this company to anyone, I paid over 2,000 for a PC thats taking a company almost 2 months to deliver....Unbelievable!

total bait and switch I order this awesome looking pc that I ordered on the 12th of august and finally got on the 25 of September . The build law out was this awesome pc with a wicked cool lit cooling System and high end graphics card.I plugged it in no lit cooling system and first thing issues with the graphics card.I will be sending it back wanting a full refund or file a report with the Revdex.com.

I’m lodging a formal complaint against Digital Storm because I have no other means in which to be treated fairly. On Jan. 7th 2019 I received my Digital Storm Lumos PC after a 3 month wait. Upon boot up, the PC crashed with a bad Power Supply. I opened a ticket, DS sent me a replacement PSU, and I replaced the unit myself in mid-January. The system ran fine until August 9th, when I started getting a USB overcharge error on the Mother Board. I paid $100 to ship my PC back to them to troubleshoot and fix the PC. They replaced the MoBo and sent back some new GSkill RAM that I purchased saying it was bad. I got the PC back on September 13th and booted it up and the Graphics card died returning a code 43. Per DS’s request, I pulled the GPU and shipped it back to them so they could confirm that the card was indeed dead. They then sent me a replacement GPU, which I received yesterday, 9/26, and DS didn’t put the quick connects for the cooling plate on the card. This rendered it useless until I get those quick connects for the coolant and install them myself. If I do this install myself, there is no guarantee that it will not leak coolant on the PSU below or the newly replaced MoBo.

To sum up this issue, I have replaced all the main parts of this PC. The Power Supply, Mother Board, Graphics card are ‘top-of-the-line name brand hardware’. This is a very expensive custom built PC and it has been one failure after another. I have asked for my money back and to return this demon PC multiple times and was told it was after the initial 30 days so, “no”. This PC is clearly a lemon, or they are providing sub-quality replacement hardware.

Items replaced within first 7 months:
1000w Corsair HX1000 Platinum Power Supply
ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero Mother Board
GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Graphics Card

To Whom It May Concern:

We have discussed this with our customer *** that we are not able to issue a refund for a system that was purchased almost one year ago. We have worked hard to address the customer's concerns about the hardware issues that he was experiencing and the most recent graphics card failure is a known nationwide possible issue with this model card. We have sent a replacement card to the customer who confirmed the system is functioning properly.

They advertise overnight at an extra cost of $150 approximately. Ordered PC 9/18. They said delivery date is 10/3. Called 9/19 to cancel. Credit received 9/24. They said there is a processing fee. They charged me $40 for nothing. Disputing the fee.

I ordered a computer from Digital Storm on August 25th 2019. At the time of order they offered a 6 month no interest loan thru their business loan partner ***. I completed the *** application and they accepted my information and approved me for the loan. They stated my first payment was sue September 26th 2019. On 9/24 I called Digital Storm to ask if I will receive my shipment before September 26th when my first loan payment is due. They notified me that I should receive my order the week of 9/30....a week later than my first payment is due. I called *** and asked them to push back the start of the billing by a month, as suggested by Digital Storm, and they said they do not do anything like that and my first payment was due Sept 26th 2019, regardless of weather or not I received my computer. This has to be against the law to put someone in this position. I asked Digital Storm for help and they have not offered any help to date.

We have spoken with our customer *** and have come to a mutual agreement to upgrade the shipping to 3 day air.

Steve will be contacting the Revdex.com to amend the case as resolved.

It took over a month for my computer to arrive. When it finally did, it was damaged and had issues. When I reached out to support I was told that they are basically too busy to help. I had to fix it myself. A manager got in touch with me and said he would look into it but never bothered calling me back. I will never return as a customer, nor will I ever recommend a product from Digital Storm - not even my worst enemy.

I ordered my new computer from Digital Storm a month ago. They have a 20-25 Business day turn around. However my computer was moved quickly through the first 10 business days of steps, according to their website. After two weeks of waiting I called just to get an idea of when I might be estimating a reception of my product. They told me they were looking at end of the following week. I waited til the week after and called and they said it should be out early the next week now a week and a half from when I was originally told. I waited it out, I called again yesterday. I was told my PC is being moved to stage 6 (which on the my account page it still hasn't been) and would be shipped out next week. Now at this point continuing to tell me next week, next week, next week is not really holding much water. I am spending a lot of money on this and even made my first loan payment for the machine before ever seeing the actual product. Management was supposed to contact me after submitting a negative review through their website. They never did. I am beyond frustrated with this company, and would like to know exactly when I'll be receiving the product I paid for at the beginning of last month.

So I ordered from this company on July 3rd and I received my computer on July 20th but it was damaged to the usual *** shipping methods. I’m pretty sure they hire people just to throw boxes around. Anyways I had to contact customer service to get the computer replaced, digital storms technical team and customer service team is very much on top of their game. They kept me updated on everything and made sure I was happy. This is my first every review actually writing, that is how good there service and company is.

Pc didn’t even last two years before having so many issues. For the last year have been having issues which couldn’t be fixed. Been told I have to pay for all new parts and shipping which I can fix myself. It says I have three year warranty when in fact it’s one year on parts. On the asus website. It says all parts are three year warranty. Will be leaving a very bad review and Revdex.com will be hearing about this also. I had to buy all new parts to have my pc work so I can get some work done. Feel like I got ripped off and wasting so much money. My other pc hasn’t had a single issue in years and yours barely lasted three. Never got a call from anyone but the tech support which couldn’t figure out or diagnose the issue. In fact deleting all my stuff and trying a reboot which had nothing to do with it.

So, I wanted to leave a remark here myself, due to the overwhelming amount of one-star reviews. (Probably because the only reason people come here is to complain.)
This product is amazing, no other word for it. When I placed the order, I was a bit nervous thanks to all the complaints and low reviews I saw here. But clearly, that wasn't the case.
I ordered the 'ultimate' edition of the *** 7. I expected it'd take around 30 days from the time I placed the order, maybe a bit more. But now here I sit with it, not even 10 days later.
The machine itself is performing perfectly, and is the envy of all my friends. I'm running things with such new and vivid detail that everything feels like new! Absolutely worth every cent, I love it.

I wanted to start this off with the date I ordered the product at hand(January 30th). The whole process of waiting was okay for me but with the conversation I had with the Digital Storm sales team was I needed this computer to be done before I was deployed to South Korea, The team there had told me with the build I had made it would take no more than 30 days from purchase. I ended up having an extra month delay on the build and with my time being short I was still able to receive the PC before I had to leave. Upon receiving the PC I noticed issues with loading and playing games, I originally purchased this computer for such purposes. The issue at hand was a faulty GPU that was malfunctioning and resetting during game play or heavy use of the GPU, Even with setting and graphics turned down I still had these issues. I eventually went through the process of chatting with tech support and trying to resolve this issue. Suffice to say that did not happen. After no resolve the tech support team gave me the option of returning the PC since I was still within my 30 day return policy, I chose this option because I wouldn't have time to resolve this issue while over seas and was guaranteed my refund. To this day as of 16 May 2019 the issue at hand was ruled in their favor by the finance company I used( ***). I had received word from the finance company that Digital Storm noted they did not find any issues and with that they are charging me a 4.9% restocking fee. Even though the Tech support team noted and visibly saw the issues I was having. I can say the worst part of this whole fiasco is the fact that I was paying for the PC for 2 months even before I received it, With 3 delays in the build process, It's amazing this company calls themselves "Professionals" in the business of building computers. I huge tip of advice is to build it yourself, These days with Computers and said parts it's more user friendly and cheaper to build it yourself. You'll be a lot happier with your final build and will actually learn about how your computer works. Please do me and other computer enthusiasts, do your research and actually invest the time to build it yourself; you will save more money, get higher quality parts and have a massive sense in accomplishment. Hope this review helps and DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. I've been told from other customers they intentionally build defective computers to end up charging more in the end for replacement parts or if you return it, as they said with my case "They noted there where no issues with the computer" Thus charging you a restocking fee.

I have been trying to get updates on my computer build, but get nothing except it is on schedule. My computer is still in stage 2 which according to the update I got on on the 22 of last month should have only taken 5 business days. I was supposed to get a call back from customer care and that never happened. When I asked about getting my money back they said I would lose some money for restocking or somthing like that. What are you restocking my build is only in stage two. They were supposed to be the ultimate computer, but based on the customer service, and lack of updates coupled with the fact that almost a physical month passed and nothing is happening I don't see how. My original purchase date was April 11th. My computer should be getting built, but from everything I could get from them it has not proceeded past stage 2. I wanted to just build it myself if they were only going to give it a weeks worth of attention, but losing money for a computer they haven't even started is just wrong.

We have addressed this matter with our customer *** by explaining to him that his computer will be shipping by Wednesday, May 15 2019.

Our customer *** will be contacting the Revdex.com to amend the case as resolved.

My son purchased a computer for Christmas, on December 25. The advertisement stated this was a gaming computer and that's what he was looking for. The building process took weeks, claiming along the way that it was going through quality control. The computer was finally shipped January 21, upon receipt my son hooked up and began experiencing a blue screen and crashing which required constant restarting. We contacted customer service Feb 1, and allowed remote accessed the system. The following was noted "Create Windows 10 1809 USB with MCT ISO Rufus, Realtek LAN 10.31" This did not resolve the issue and my son was told it was a hardware issue. We initiated the process of returning the unit in February, which required us to submit a request, send pictures of the unit and wait. Not until March 6 did we receive approval and a shipping label. Upon receipt of the unit the RMA stage of testing has taken more than 30 days. Finally on April 24 I received an email from a manager [email protected], who informed me that because they could not duplicate the issue, my refund would be reduced by a restocking fee and shipping charges. I am truly dissatisfied with the lack of "customer service" and the excessive amount of time I have wasted with this company. My son has basically paid Digital Storm $700 for absolutely nothing, and would not have returned the unit if it worked.

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Sincerely

The normal turn around time for the computer I purchased was 20-30 days, they for a few weeks were advertising ready to ship in 3-5 days, so I decided I would buy one. I'd check back each day to see where it was in their 7 step process each day, during which one of those days there were advertising ready to ship in 1-3 days, which quickly disappeared. On business day 4 my order was still on step 2 of 7 so I inquired about what was happening and if my computer would be ready to ship in the 5 days the advert said it would. I got an email very quickly my system had jumped straight to level 7 which was packaging on the 19th. This is their final step, now here we are on the 25th and I'd still not received an email saying my system had shipped with a tracking number so I again inquire asking whats going on, its been 5 business days now since its gone to "packaging" and its still not shipped. A few hours later I get another response saying oh it will go out today, and you'll get a tracking number at close of day.

There are multiple complaints I wish to file against Digital Storm. Here is some backstory and then I will list the complaints in chronological order and numerically. I purchased a Digital Storm Vanquish 7 - Level 4 on April 12, 2018 for ***. I was able to fully order my PC and pay for it without any issues. I was told that it would take about 7 to 10 days to process my order and began building and testing which would take an additional 5 to 7 days (all business days). I understood this and was OK with those terms. There was no notification of any sort of delay on the website, nor was there any email or communication about the Vanquish 7s being on back order and was able to fully purchase and order my PC. Here are the complaints following just weeks after my order and continuing to today's date of 04/09/2019. 1. Apparently at the time of my order, all Vanquish 7 PCs were on back order. I was not notified, the website said nothing, and there was no communication from the company. My order had not been processed for almost 3 weeks so I called in and asked about it. At that time, I was finally told about the back-order and expressed my frustration about not being told and that I was already charged for something that had not even been processed as an order yet. I requested follow up from a manager, and it was never received. It took 2 months for my computer to finally reach me on 05/11/2018. 2. On the day I received my PC, the 2TB HDD that I had was not displaying on my PC. I tried to troubleshoot it but I called in to DS Tech Support and they were able to resolve my issues, but I received the computer issues right out of the box. Digital Storm's website preaches about their testing of their systems and their quality assurance but apparently my PC was exempt from that process. Clearly they are falsely advertising their QA and are lying about the quality of their systems. 3. After only having the computer for about 5 months, I was having issues with the PC crashing and asked to send it in to DS. I had to pay about $46 to ship the computer to DS to have them fix it, but I was choosing this instead of doing a replacement myself so I understand that charge. However, I was notified by UPS that my computer had arrived at DS, but no one at DS contacted me, nor did I receive any email updates on the repairs as I was promised when I called in to schedule the repair. I sent in the PC on 10/14/18 and it was received on 10/19/18 at DS. It was not worked on until 11/1/18 but I received no contact that my PC was received. In fact, after 2 weeks of no communication, I called in to DS, and the rep had to physically leave his desk to go "find it". Once it was found it was actually placed on the work bench and put in queue to fix. THEY DID NOT EVEN KNOW WHERE MY PC WAS EVEN THOUGH THEY HAD IT. It took 6 days to fix and was finally shipped back to me on 11/06/2018. 4. A couple of months after I got my PC back, I started having the same issues again. I realized that it was my 500GB *** from ADATA that I purchased and was installed by DS during my original purchase, was failing. I purchased a Samsung *** and replaced the broken *** My has been flawless since the replacement so obviously the *** was the faulty part. Even though they failed to fix my original issue, DS is charging me to ship the broken part back to them so it can be replaced. This is ridiculous and now I am paying twice to have them fix the same issue.

Back in 2016 I had a pretty good year financially. In fact, a great year. Since I work on my computer constantly and it's my biggest hobby I thought I would purchase a new computer. A great one. A beast of a machine. I'm not a novice when it comes to computers, but hardware has never been the best aspect of my computer knowledge so I thought to myself, "I'll get someone to build it with the parts I pick. What could go wrong?"
I did the research, I looked for months for the people to choose to create my new bundle of fun. Sadly I picked Digital Storm. I spent around 7k for top end hardware, service, and a great warranty. If I had to do it all over again, I would just set that 7k on fire.
They have been disappointing for three years. This winter was the last straw. I have sent my computer into them for repair on four seperate occasions. Their estimate each time has been the same. 10-15 business days. To their credit, or maybe I should say to the poor employees credit, they have done reasonably well in half of those attempts.
I have had 4 different processors, 2 different power supplies, I believe 3 seperate graphics cards, and 2 different water cooling systems. I have paid, on a low estimate, 300 additional dollars on shipping it to them because their warranty doesn't cover shipping. Fine, whatever.
I have been lied to, given the run around, and ignored. During this past repair, I shipped the computer near the end of November. I received it back in late February. When they did start to finally listen to me, essentially scolding the poor customer service employees, I received an email from them stating. "Congratulations, we have made progress your order!". Needless to say I lost it. I would rather throw this horrid computer out of the window than ever send it back to them, and I still have a warranty with them for parts and labor for another year.
This company does not care about you at all after you have given them your money for your machine. They would rather let you stew for 3 months without so much as a "We're sorry." In short. Burn your money. It'll at least keep you warm that way.
