Digital Storm Reviews (%countItem)

As stated in my prior review on this site from some time ago, the company in question mailed me back a broken computer three times in a row, failing to deliver on the terms of my three year warranty with them . After over a year in ownership of the computer, I barely was able to use it for a month. After a long, drawn-out series of no-contacts, demands to speak with managers, and repair people lying to me over the phone to deny responsibility and then refusing to give straight yes or no answers, I finally began collecting the copious evidence to forward to my attorney. After informing them of this, they told me I had finally been approved for a refund. I was told the check would be sent by mail. It has been 20 business days since I have last heard from them. I have not received any reply to any inquiry via phone, email, or otherwise. I have not received the check or any evidence that said check exists. If the Revdex.com cannot help in a timely matter, I will authorize my attorney to begin legal action.

Digital Storm Response

We are sorry to hear that you did not receive your check.

We are going to void the previous check and mail out another one via priority mail with tracking

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Assuming that this check actually arrives as promised, I will consider the issue resolved. However, should I find the check not within my possession in 10 business days, I will not issue any further Revdex.com complaints and instead proceed with my attorney.Sincerely

I purchased a computer from this company back in Feb did not get the actual computer delivered until 6 weeks later, then they have a warranty that should cover what happened to my computer but they want to not cover anything and charge me another 1000 dollars to fix the screen that was cracked?

I don't know how this screen cracked when I didn't drop it nor treat it in anyway "badly", I think this computer was poorly built and this particular screen is very fragile, I had no advance warning that this screen needed extra TLC and therefore it cracked or broke inside, I think this was poor craftsmanship not me/

Also, when I spoke to their tech service he stated that this should be covered" Please listen to my conversation with their representative.... This should be covered and they are trying to charge me more money

We truly apologize for the inconvenience our customer is encountering. Our customer contacted us on May 30th regarding the unstable stand that holds the monitor. Our technician had emailed our customer a video link of how to install and secure the stand for the monitor. The video also demonstrated how to properly position the monitor to avoid any damage, as it is a curved screen. Based on the information given by our customer, he did not properly cushion the screen before attempting the repairs and unfortunately this caused part of the screen to crack.
According to our warranty policy, Digital Storm covers any shipping damage and defective components. Unfortunately, the company is not responsible for damages caused by the customer.
We understand the frustration our customer is enduring and we are more than happy to resolve this matter. Do to the circumstances of this incident, we have offered our customer a new Aura case at a discounted price. Upon receiving approval from our customer, our technicians will transfer the components from the current build to the new case, retest it and quality assure it. Please contact our Customer Service Manager, Kimberly, via email “***”

I am rejecting this response because: They are incorrect , the screen was damaged way too easily also they offered to fix it with a price of almost 1000 dollars?? That is ridiculous That almost half of what I paid for the computer.

Sincerely

Digital Storm Response

In general, when customer's attempt to make their own repairs, they are responsible for handling the PC with care. Unfortunately, the screen is irreparable, as it is part of the chassis. It cannot be fixed without replacing the whole case. This Aura system is a 34" curved screen computer, an all in one. Its unique design allows the components to be installed behind the screen. We are making an exception and have offered our customer an Aura case at a discounted price.

Revdex.com:
Although I am currently trying to resolve the warranty issue the company wants an inordinate amount of money from me to correct the issue. I am hoping we can come to a mutual aggrement and lower the price I would have to pay. I didn't not do anything to make the screen crack. It is very fragile
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Sincerely

A little under a year ago, I ordered a system from Digital Storm. I ran into a few minor issues after a month, but I would've given it at least 4 stars before that point. Then a catastrophic motherboard issue occurred. Under my four year warranty, I shipped it back to have the issue fixed.
...it wasn't fixed. I asked for a new part to replace it myself. It was a broken part. I sent it back again. They sent it back with no hard drive. I sent it back again. They claimed to send me back a completely rebuilt computer with all new parts. Completely unusable and with damaged fans.
And all throughout, they pointed fingers at other departments, at subcontractors, and no individuals ever took responsibility for their constant miscommunication, incompetence, and rude handling. It was only after quoting legal code and showing off the massive display of evidence I'd been collecting to build a case against them...only after notifying them I was having my lawyer send a letter of intent to their business...that they offered a partial refund.
You know what? Fine. I'll take the damn partial refund to be done with this company. They can keep the few hundred bucks they robbed me of. I just wait with baited breath to see if they're capable of correctly mailing a check to me.
AVOID. AT ALL. COSTS.

Bought a high end gaming computer and it arrived and did not work. I was told I had to pay for the $400 shipping to send it back, which did not seem fair, but I needed it ixed. The company told me it would only take a little while to diagnose and fix the troubles. They said it was a faulty part and they fixed it, but had the machine for an excessive amount of time. Then they sent it back and of course, despite telling me it would work, it does not. The monitor is not getting a signal. Now they tell me to unplug and replug in things like th graphics card and RAM, which I did - to no avail. Service was horrible and they have left me no choice - I spent $10,000 on a computer that does not work.

We truly apologize for all the inconvenience our customer has encountered.
While the PC was being repaired, our RMA technicians replaced the defective water block that was causing the PC to overheat. Although the repairs did exceed our normal time frame, the PC went through the vigorous stress testing and quality assurance to ensure the performance and stability.
It is very unfortunate that our cutstomer is experiencing issues. Based on the information we received from our customer, it is most likely to be a loose conncetor, typically caused by shipping.A technician did contact our customer and emailed instructions to help him resolve the problem. Unfortunately, our customer was unavailable to troubleshoot at that moment.
We still would like to make things right and offer the support from our senior tech and resolve the issue remotely.
Please contact our Customer Service Manager, Kimberly, via email “[email protected]”Tell us why here...

Promised to repair computer that is under warranty and paid $100 to ship to Fremont , CA. Had gotten computer back and it would not boot into windows 10. Never called me to fix problem. I had filed a complaint without a phone call back. Absolutely the worst company I have ever seen. They just do not care. I would like to have my computer repaired as it is still under warranty. Have you had other complaints with this company or am I the exception?

Digital Storm Response

We apologize for all the inconvenience the customer is having with his PC.Our service team determined the issue with the computer failing to boot up was because of shipping shocks and vibrations. When we received the PC back from the customer, our team was able to get it working by simply re-seating internal components. We then tested the entire PC and performed a full QA check prior to shipping it back to the customer. It’s unfortunate the customer is still having issues. We would have appreciated if the customer contacted our support team prior to submitting a complaint with the Revdex.com as we would be more than happy to troubleshoot and resolve the issue remotely. We would like to make things right and help our customer.
