Hi ***, While we are a for-profit event company, the cause of finding a cure, educating women and helping those who are currently dealing with Breast Cancer is one we believe in There is a lot that goes into selecting a venue and because of that we sometimes need to go a bit further which is why we indicate on our website that venues can be up to miles of the advertised area Although we have a no refund policy that is stated on the waiver that you signed during registrationParticipant satisfaction is so important to us, after all- you are the reason we do what we doYou will be getting a email from [email protected] with further instructions Thank you - The Dirty Girl Mud Run

I had a similar experienceSigned up for the Raleigh Dirty Girl Mud Run to find out several months later that the location would actually be an hour & a half awayThe lack of customer service and professionalism with this group is unrealThey are giving these runs a bad name

I purchased a sweatshirt and was not offered to try it on or even look at the item outside of the packaging When I got home and was able to try it on the sleeves were too short I generally wear an extra small and this was a small so the fact that the sleeves were too short was incredibly frustrating When I contacted the company they said there was nothing they could do about it I am very disappointed that I spent $for nothing

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint, in the leastFor your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I listed the problems and then asked for specific actions Their response looks like a canned response and does not address these points, which I find additionally offensive They said nothing in response to #1, #they said they will continue to designate cities that may be miles or so from the actual event location, and did not even say they would make it perfectly clear on their site, maps, and listed venues, or have registrants check off a clear statement to that effect, as requested, but hold to their current position Why would they avoid doing this, except that they can collect much more money up front by naming a capital city in a county of 950,people, vs Two rural counties with a population about half of that, or naming a capital city of 423,with Cary right on the edge with 145,000, vstheir last minute named town with a population of 11,500? I now think this was intentionally misrepresented for their financial benefit, and that no refund policy sure comes in handy for them I would like to add that they should be required to make a change to EVERY event listed, indicating clearly and prominently, that they reserve the right to move the event to miles away #They reiterate they have a no refund policy...that may be fine if they were still offering what they advertisedI cannot imagine a professional seminar, a class, or any sports activity tickets being sold and the vender being able to say oh, we are changing it to miles away, we refuse to give you a refund, it was in the fine print we didn't require you to acknowledge you read #They totally avoided the request for them to clearly state on their site that they are a for-profit business who happens to make ___ % donation (of total registration, or profits?)I am sure they intentionally avoid doing so, as people justify an expense of $to $100, (which people pay for a FULL day of a VARIETY of fun at Disney or theme parks) as "it's for charity"I have heard numerous people state this, thinking that is the caseRight now, the website only says it encourages awareness and understanding about cancer, does not specify any amount except $250,(out of maybe $26,250,brought in) being contributed last yearWhile I appreciate any amount being donated, their previous marketing, their marketing, the pink, reference to cancer has led many to have a misperceptionWe had such a good time at the event last year, I wish they were honest, much more reasonably priced, I think they would do better and everyone would be happierThis feels like such a waste of time, I am tired of messing with it and may well copy this and forward it to the Attorney General's office as others have suggestedI still want this complaint on file with the Revdex.com Thank you, [redacted] ***

I never got to participate in a run but can tell you that my experience has been nothing but negative I signed up along with over other women for a run in June it was postponed to July Ok, could live with that then days prior to the event it was canceled with 'regret' and an oh yea we are keeping your money $80, plus shirt, water bottle, room, etcWarning to all others don't sign up for any future mud runs - if there are any

This organization canceled the event the week of the race because the organization did not want to pay a $20,city fee even though 2,girls signed up for the racing pay per person ranging from $65-$The organization is not providing any refunds even though it was not an emergency situation cancelationThis organization promotes breast cancer yet only 2-3% of the proceeds actually is donated to breast cancer

I am posting a complaint about a recent event many of my friends signed up forThe Dirty Girl Mud Run says their "official policy" on refunds apparently allows you to move the race site up to MILES from the advertised locationMoving the location from Raleigh, NC to Archdale, NC is at least 90-miles from Raleigh depending on where you are coming fromFirst, that is entirely too far to be considered reasonable, and second, if you don't have a more precise location where the race will be held, then please don't sell registrations based on a particular cityIt would have been far more appropriate to list this race as "Central NC", or under some other vague location name or TBA until you had a definite address to finalize a locationThis was advertising and quite unethical from a business stand pointUnfortunately my entire team is upset about this and request we have decided to back out and request a refund in full

Good evening [redacted] , We understand and will refund your registration fees for you and any of your team matesYou will be receiving a email from [email protected] apologies for any confusin from the last response Thank you - The Dirty Girl Mud Run

RevDex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] Regards, [redacted] I would like to be refunded my registration fee for myself and Barbara Honeycutt. The venue chosen is over 90 miles away from the city center of Raleigh. It is deceptive marketing as, they should not as advertised it as a Raleigh Mud Run if they had not yet secured a location. There was no requirement to read the FAQ, and there was nothing signed by myself during registration that I had to read it or that it was a policy of the 60-90 mile radius, regardless, it's over 90 miles and I would like our money back.
