My neighbors were past participants of the Raleigh Dirty Girl Mud Run and invited me to sign up for the 2014 Raleigh Dirty Girl Mud Run on their team this year. Since they ran the race the year before in Raleigh, and it was advertised as being Raleigh, we were sure the race would be in Raleigh possibly in the same location. I signed up, and we had a team! We received notification that the race was being held in Archdale, North Carolina, which is over 90 miles from my house, and would take me over TWO hours to get there, 4 hours in the car driving time. Not what I signed up for when I saw Raleigh! I wrote to Dirty Girl, they stated it was their policy that they could place a race in a 60-90 mile radius of a city. I went to their website and found no policy, and no mention of it in the waiver that I signed. In my experience, a FAQ on a website is not a policy, and their was no mention of this possibility in the waiver I signed, the only thing I was REQUIRED to agree to before I submitted my registration. I am still being refused a refund. I wrote to them THREE times, with only getting a response the first time saying they do not give refunds. I have never heard of such poor costumer service. I would never, ever run this race or recommend it. I am still Requesting a FULL refund.
I had a similar experience. Signed up for the Raleigh Dirty Girl Mud Run to find out several months later that the location would actually be an hour & a half away. The lack of customer service and professionalism with this group is unreal. They are giving these runs a bad name.

I was a participant for the Charleston Wv Dirty Girl run, paid my $80 back in January. The event was originally scheduled for June but was postponed until this coming week Saturday 26th July. We got notice yesterday that this run is canceled due to the company paying the venue for buses and where told no refunds. I filed a dispute with my credit card company and they did give this money to me. This however is not my money along with 2499 other womens money refunded from the company itself. This company has take over $200,000 for us and canceled due to there irresposibility. Do not loose your money to this company and their poor excuses
I never got to participate in a run but can tell you that my experience has been nothing but negative. I signed up along with over 2000 other women for a run in June . . . it was postponed to July. Ok, could live with that then 3 days prior to the event it was canceled with 'regret' and an oh yea we are keeping your money. $80, plus shirt, water bottle, room, etc. Warning to all others don't sign up for any future mud runs - if there are any.

I purchased a sweatshirt and was not offered to try it on or even look at the item outside of the packaging. When I got home and was able to try it on the sleeves were too short. I generally wear an extra small and this was a small so the fact that the sleeves were too short was incredibly frustrating. When I contacted the company they said there was nothing they could do about it. I am very disappointed that I spent $45 for nothing.

I would like to be refunded my registration fee for myself and Barbara Honeycutt. The venue chosen is over 90 miles away from the city center of Raleigh. It is deceptive marketing as, they should not as advertised it as a Raleigh Mud Run if they had not yet secured a location. There was no requirement to read the FAQ, and there was nothing signed by myself during registration that I had to read it or that it was a policy of the 60-90 mile radius, regardless, it's over 90 miles and I would like our money back.
