Dixie Imports, Inc. Reviews (55)

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Regards,
[redacted] * [redacted]

I keep reading all these negative reviews and I had a great experience. I bought a Chevy Suburban off them at a great price. You would expect a few problems with it and there was one but the cheap warranty they sold me covered it in full. I love my vehicle and my boyfriend and I both feel it was great service, easy financing as we have no/bad credit, and its a very nice vehicle.
Then again we checked the car over and they fixed a few minor things like a mirror that had a little crack.
They treated me like a person even though my credit wasn't all that and you don't get that at other lots. Everyone was very nice and very helpful.
Ill be going back after I pay this one off and ill be getting another one.

Dixie Imports has repaired everything that was agreed upon in the 'Due Bill'.   We have spoken to this customer vie telephone & it was explained to her that Dixie Imports found and repaired this unit beyond what was expected from us, as well as supplied her with a loaner car at no charge, because it was later learned that although the owner of Dixie Imports offered to reimburse her for a rental car, she was too young to rent a vehicle.  As an extended gesture, Dixie Imports provided this customer a company owned cars while all of the repairs were completed.  We note that this customer complained because the loaner car had a 'check engine' light on (which was not for her to worry nor was she being held responsible for), therefore, I do not understand what was upsetting her by receiving a free company owned vehicle to drive until hers was repaired.  She states there was NO gas in the car.  The majority of the vehicles are low on gas as that is how we receive them when purchased.  We of course always will put enough gas in a vehicle for a test drive for an interested consumer who is wanting to test drive a car from Dixie Imports.  Had this customer made mention that there was very little gas, we would have put approximately $5.00 in the gas tank in order to see her home.  We note further that she complained when she was told the reason we had her vehicle longer, was to do additional work that was found would benefit her with a safer vehicle, but her reply was "I didn't ask you to do more work".   This is certainly a first - when a customer was not happy that Dixie Imports offered to do additional repair, at no charge - but she is still upset? This is a bit confusing & I look forward to her reply as to why this upset her that we did free work to her car. Further, when a 'check engine' light is on in a loaner vehicle (the company owned loaner she received), this does not mean that the car is not safe to drive, so perhaps she was bothered by the light.  please note that Dixie Imports pays near $200 for EACH vehicle purchased, in order to receive a complete inspection (inside / outside) to ensure we know whether there are any issues, and if so, we know what they before deciding whether to purchase.

The company has not address the issues in the dispute. Their response to you is filled with untruths. They initially agreed on a price and realize the price was incorrect and said they wouldn’t sell it. There is nothing legally that say you cannot sale a car because the ‘[redacted]’ was incorrect. This is why a buyer sign and odometer disclosure. Their exact words, wear are not going to sell this car at a lost. As stated in their response it was advertised with a mileage discrepancy, But that was the agreed upon price. They day we put the deposit on the car, their Credit Car Machine would print a receipt, we should them the prove on our [redacted] App, where it should Dixie Imports $500.00. The machine never declined our payment, and we have the bank transactions to prove it.
To resolve this I would like, a formal apology from Dixie Imports, acknowledging their unethical behavior in changing they mind on the sell of the car, because the price was not to their liking. Additionally, restitution for the time taking off work and inconvenience of making (2) trips, to purchase a car, the they weren't going to sell.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[redacted] has requested that I physically go to the offices of Dixie Imports to sign a recession of a warranty that was created without my consent. I live two and a half hours from the dealership and I have already had a signed and notarized cancellation request sent to [redacted]. They in turn have already canceled the warranty and sent a check to Dixie Imports.  The way in which Dixie Imports conducts business is appalling. Their company, whether or not it was a rogue employee as they claim it to be, has created a fraudulent contract and has done very little to actually rectify the situation. All they have done is pass blame and request more action from me to rectify the situation. I have already conducted the necessary steps to have the warranty canceled and now Dixie Imports is sitting on the refunded monies. I expect a full refund of the $1300 I was charged for a warranty that I did not agree to. I will not drive five hours round trip to sign a release of a warranty that has already been canceled and one that was initiated fraudulently. I am also awaiting the reimbursement for the over payment of taxes. The dealership had an amount of $639 financed for taxes but the tax amount was $486. The county clerk sent the over payment back to Dixie Imports a month ago and that amount also has not been refunded as of yet.

Mrs [redacted] my name is [redacted] and I have taken over as GM at both Dixie Imports and Dixie Motors . I would like to see what I can do to resolve this matter. please feel free to respond back so we can put this behind us and in the near future help you with your car purchase. Thank you for your time

ABSOLUTELY run from this place!!! Worst sales staff and management in the business. I went there to look at a car that was posted on [redacted]. Sat down with a salesman to talk about a deal. I already had my own financing so all we needed was a price. Salesman and sales manager insisted that I needed to fill out a credit app to talk numbers even though I didn't need their financing. Filled it out because I really wanted the car. I was in a hurry so I asked them to put the numbers together and call me. After 2 days I heard nothing. Called the number on the business card I was given and it was the number of a guy that didn't even work there anymore!!! Called the dealership number and after a 15 min runaround, I talked to a someone that had my "deal". He couldn't even explain the deal and had no clue what he was talking about. Having sold cars in my past, I proceeded to instruct him on how to put a deal together. He finally got frustrated enough to tell me that the deal wasn't going to happen.........REALLY?? You are telling that to a customer that already had financing?? All you had to do was give a price!!! Incompetence at it's finest!! And don't even get me started on the Finance Manager.........RUN!!! You've been warned!!

I was told to come in on sept 24th to get a loaner car at 11am . I did so and also had to wait 2 hours to get a loaner car because all of the workers were eating bob evans. I then received a 2009 gold [redacted]. service engine light on gas on * and check tire pressure light was on also the radio said audio locked. prior to that I had nothing but problems out of the car I then took the [redacted] back to the dealership and they said my car was still not ready. I am now driving a hyundi loaner car and my car is still not ready. I have not heard anything about my car and I also gave adam a diagnostic test that I have received from midas saying exactly what was wrong with my car the Dixie imports did not tell me they were fixing anything else neither did they mention that was why it was taking longer. I also have a witness that was there with me every time I went down there they have always stated they don't know when it will be done because he have a lot of cars to work on

Do not buy from Dixie imports. They sold me a car that that after the first week needed 1000$ worth of work in order for the car to function properly. After buying but before I could leave the lot it was leaking transmission fluid. They reassured me it would cost me nothing and gave to me a powertrain warranty free of charge. The warranty covered nothing and I was stuck with the bill. They strung me along for weeks claiming they'd repay the money but eventually stopped returning calls. I went to the business in person and they were very rude and unprofessional. They lied to me for a weeks. I was ripped off now I'm in the process of small claims court.

Do NOT buy from here. Worst customer service and management I have ever seen. We bought a car from them and a month later they had to make us drive 45 minutes back out there to resign all of the papers because of a mistake they made. They told us the paperwork would be ready and we would be out of there in 5 minutes. We were there for 45 minutes instead because the manager was eating $20 worth of [redacted]'s instead of helping his customers. Hopefully the car works out because their business is not giving me confidence.

I purchased a Toyota Rav4 from them and found it had transmission trouble. I took it back, it couldn't be repaired. They worked with me and got me another Toyota Rav4. I really love my car. They were extremely helpful in every aspect of my purchasing a vehicle from them.

On 03/09 Dixie responded to the complaint saying they had been in touch with me. At that time they offered me $[redacted] off the purchase price( see response on 03/13 rejecting response from Dixie. At that point Dixie told [redacted] to tow the vehicle to their lot for them to look at. I then paid to have the vehicle towed to Dixie Imports at their request. As of March 17th they had not done anything with the vehicle and would not return my calls.
Myself and my mother visited Dixie on the evening of 03/17 (roughly). At that time we spoke to the Manager and another gentleman ( he gave me his name as [redacted], which is the managers name so not sure who he was) in an office. This conversation was recorded by me. Dixie agreed to fix the vehicle at no cost to my Son [redacted] and to pay whatever it would cost to fix the vehicle and said this would be done within a few days. I was told on 03/21 that the vehicle was done and to pick it up at the mechanic that they use, Dixie Automotive. I picked up the vehicle. At this point I was just happy to have a vehicle to drive. Within 5 days of picking up the vehicle the vehicle then BROKE DOWN again. And again per their request, I paid to have the car towed to their mechanic and was told they would fix whatever was wrong and call me when it was completed. That was 12 DAYS AGO. I and my mother have called Dixie Imports several times each day and have been told each day that the car would be fixed by the next day. Today when I called, I was told by the receptionist that [redacted] said to call HIS mechanic and find out when the vehicle would be done. So, I called Dixie Automotive and was told that they were just asked by Dixie Imports on the 7th or 8th of April to see what was wrong with the vehicle ( NOT TO FIX IT). The gentleman I spoke to stated that he called [redacted] on 04/08 in the afternoon and told him that the vehicle needed a new Slave Clutch and [redacted] told him not to fix it, so now the vehicle is in the parking lot NOT fixed. I have recorded each conversation I have had with Dixie Automotive, in them [redacted] states that they are fixing the vehicle and that the vehicle should be fixed by the next day (which hasn't happened). Again, I have about 10 voice recordings of all of the conversations I have had with Dixie Imports. The recordings have them telling me that they would be fixing the car. AT this point, I want the full amount of money that I have paid for the vehicle. If I am able to send a voice Recording via the BB please let me know as I will attach each of them as well as my call logs on how many times I have called and how long this process has taken. I expect a response to this by COB on Friday. Thanks

Dixie Imports has been in touch with this customer since the complaint was filed, and we are in process of resolving the issue with the customer. Please advise if we may assist further.

Customer was not discriminated against. Her salesperson was also African American. I have attached the paystub along with the notes from [redacted]...

as to the reason this deal could not be funded. This deal has been forwarded to our attorney in the matter of fraudulent paystubs.
