We tried helping you by following up with them and attending you every step of the way. as far as a settlement for $** that will not be a...

After 3 weeks of waiting. I was told I needed more money and then my vehicle would be picked up. I said no to that. And told them I wanted it picked up for what I was quoted and now I'm getting harassed.

I recently shipped my car from Florida to Pennsylvania. Being a first time shipper I had no clue what I was getting into or the amount of options available. After speaking with a few companies I choose DIY Transport. I called and was transferred to an ACTUAL person. They were able to give me informed options and got my car safely to my house!! I am rating them 5 stars because they made a stressful event for me fairly simple. I would use them again and you should too!

DIY helped me ship a boat I purchased in an auction online on extremely short notice. Solid Company would definitely recommend

DIY really came through in helping me with an unexpected car shipment. I had no idea how pricey it could be to ship a vehicle, and how hard it can be to get a straight answer out of a company. Overall would recommend

after having had a horrible experience with Elite I switched over to DIY-- forfeiting the deposit I had left with Elite and giving another deposit to DIY. Believe me I was nervous about doing so -- my distrust level for the industry was sky high. I am delighted to report the DIY lived up to its promises. the driver contacted me repeatedly, gave me updates, was 100% professional and met all his own time estimates. Based on this experience I would recommend this company.

I am new to shipping a car across the country.
I called several companies, and decided on DIY Transport. Lindsay S. was my contact person.
Before choosing DIY I asked if they were good about communication. She said she is very responsive using email, which works out great for me.
She was not very responsive. I might email in the morning, and she would get back to me right before her shift ended but there were still lingering questions. I would email her those questions at the end of the day and not hear from her and then was forced to make a phone call. But I continued to stick with the company.
Here is where the nightmare begins. Friday she emailed me at the END of her shift letting me know that a trucker would be there to pick it up on Monday, the one day I said that the trucker could not show up! All weekend I imagined this poor trucker driving up there from hundreds of miles away only to find out Lindsay had made a mistake. I called and emailed to no avail. Why wait until the last minute on a Friday to let me know? I never did get the answer to that.
Know what I did get? A $150 cancellation fee!!! She actually charged me money for her mistake!
Stay away from this company.

This company treated me and my mother well during our transport and even included a military discount!

DIY is the only company I use to help me ship my online motorcycle purchases to the shop. Very solid company providing business to business service.

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID 1[redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I do not believe that the goods inside of the car were the cause of a delay in my availability to pick up my vehicle.
Upon speaking to DIY Transport[redacted], she acknowledged that the vehicle had been weighed on 14 Nov 14 and any disputes of the weight should have been notified at that time.
[redacted] also stated that the check to release my vehicle initially was processed on 16 Nov 14, but was delayed due to the weight.  After picking up my vehicle from the [redacted] port, I was notified that DIY Transport had only paid for the shipment of the vehicle and none of the additional weight cost, which I paid out of pocket after already being charged an additional $[redacted] over my initial quote which has not been refunded.
Attached is the receipt from the [redacted] Port Auto Carriers showing that the prepaid amount from DIY Transport was $[redacted] only for the shipment of the vehicle and the remaining $[redacted] was paid in cash at the office.  Furthermore, I do not understand the process of how I was not ever notified on the 18 Nov 14 when my car arrived in [redacted] that there was a weight dispute. At any time had your dispatcher, or any customer service representative contacted me, this would have been resolved immediately. DIY Transport is trying to deflect their lack of responsiveness to the location of my vehicle by implying it had something to do with it being overweight. I was in constant contact with your company and you had my contact information. From 18 Nov, when my vehicle was available in [redacted] for pick-up, until I tracked it down on 24 Nov 14, no one from DIY Transport contacted me about a weight issue clearly indicating to me that they have mismanaged this issue.
Since I already paid an additional $[redacted] over the initial quote and I was not notified when the vehicle was weighed on 14 Nov 14 of any weight dispute I should be refunded the additional $[redacted] for a total of $[redacted].
Regards,[redacted]

**. [redacted],
When you first made contact with diyTransport you were quoted a price of $[redacted] (total) You were only willing to pay to $[redacted] during the week of christmas and new years.. not very likely, but in any case we are more than happy to list your vehicle at your price...

and guve it a shot.. For this reason alone is why we do not charge upfront. Before any vehicles are dispatched. the customer recieves a phone call to go over price and dates.. Once that is taken care of an email will follow.. We have it documented that you agreed to all terms. As far as the driver, we have only worked with him this one and only time, but we wont go into any here say. At the end of the day **. [redacted] you ended up paying $[redacted] which is $** less the quoted original price. We cannot control what the customer wants to pay and is the reason why it is very important to listen to your broker. Please do not blame us for your actions because clearly that is the case here

I was referred to DIY by a friend who had utilized their services and gave them a glowing report. We contacted them and gave them information pertinent to our transportation needs to ship 3 vehicles. They gave us a rate quote and time element. I told them I would get back to them and that I was going to shop their rate quote and time factor. After contacting several other shipping companies I felt best about doing business with DIY. They honored their quote and delivered the vehicles in a timely fashion in the exact same condition they picked them up in. I have recommended them to friends and family and will continue to do so in the future.

I gave DIY 2 week notice to ship 3 vehicles...quoted too low, then raised price $100 per vehicle and still after 3 weeks could not find a driver. They would hang up when I called to see what was going on and did not want to refund deposit of $400 and gave me trouble about cancelling the order and taking my vehicles off the board so I could go with another broker. NEVER USE!!!!! RUDE....UNPROFESSIONAL!!! They never did send me email to refund $400. I had to call my credit card company and tell them this company is a SCAM!

I booked transportation from VA to FL in October for transport in Nov (28th). Process was good up to the final confirmation. They told me the driver wanted $200 more dollars so I agreed to allow the booking and they booked it. Then I waited for the pickup. When the driver got there he informed me that he needed to drop it off 2 days earlier than I requested and since they take payment on delivery I had to scramble to find someone to accept the cars and send them the money to pay the guy because I didn't plan on being there until 2 days later. When I called Nadine back she was very understanding and assured me that she would get to the bottom of the issue. She found out that the dispatcher didn't send me the final email and never told me the final pickup/drop off time/date and that should have been given to me both verbally and electronically. She also said the manager would be contacting me. The manager never did and when I called back Nadine put me through to the manager. I explained what I just wrote and she said well I can't give any discounts and that's not my dispatcher's fault. The driver should have told you that and been in contact with you for that. She also said that she can go back and look at emails and listen to conversations to see. I don't think she ever will...Nadine tried...but the manager was less than helpful. I'm assuming this happens all the time. I wasn't happy with the process...but the actual transport was fine.
