I've used DIY twice to transport vehicles cross country. First to arrange shipping my parents boat down to Florida, the second time to transport a Car auction I won online. Overall DIY provided good service @a reasonable in an overly expensive industry price
We hired DIY as our Broker to transport out car and they hired David from D&L Transportation Inc to pick up our car from Tinley Park, IL and deliver to Bradenton, Florida. David was 10 days late and would not return phone calls and DIY offered no support! Terrible personal service!!
The best car shipping company I have used. I have had the worst luck using shipping companies, but somehow got lucky with DIY finding them on craigslist. Would recommend

There is no offer to resolve the issue. They simply stated that the estimate we were given was a bid. If that is the case, DIY should not accept a customers offer. They should clarify that the price agreed upon could change and is just a "bid". We received a contract for the price agreed upon and a delivery confirmation notice that the car would be picked up and delivered quickly. They market themselves as being able to ship vehicles quickly and efficiently. The car was picked up and taken to CA despite a notice DIY sent that it would be delivered in OR. Once in CA they would not deliver the car without more money to bid higher. After several complaints and legal involvement car was to be transported by truck from CA to OR but it was driven by a third party.
We finally picked up the car after a month late in poor condition. If our bid was unreasonable they should not have accepted our offer consenting to deliver the car.

As member of the armed forces we do appreciate what you do. However, in this case that is not an an excuse to mention it in order to gain something from it. We are willing to make right by refunding you the $[redacted] for the out of pocket cost. The $[redacted] processing fee was actually reduced from the standard price of $[redacted] that we charge. As far as the "terrible" customer service, we were available to him at all times. Promised completion date: 12/3/2014In addition, the business provided the following additional comments:

DIY helped me ship a vehicle for the first time online. Impulse bought a motorcycle online and they helped get it shipped to me no problem
