Doctor on Demand Reviews (79)

I paid 49 dollars for under 7 min to be seen due to eye irritation and loss of voice and chest tightness, my script 24 hours later still was NEVER sent to my pharmacy, my pharmacist called in TWICE for this then I called in and was told two stories 1) the dr never put what medication was to be prescribed and 2) my phone number was wrong which I find funny since my previous time of using this service I had all of my scripts promptly but suddenly a phone number has prevented me from getting medication and the dr really didn’t include the medication that was to be dispensed?! I have since cancelled the whole order and will take my business back to my family dr where I have to miss work but at least I know I’ll get the medication I need to get better, I will no longer use this service 50 dollars to talk to a dr but still have to go to my PCP is a waste

Complaint Doctor On Demand 275 Battery St Suite 650 San Francisco, CA 94111 (*** Revdex.com, I reach out to you because I would like to request a refund for services not provided as advertised. I contacted Doctor On Demand on 2/11/19 to get an allergy test before spring arrives. In the two minute conversation Dr. *** told me to visit an allergy doctor because they are not setup to test and treat patients. He told me to contact my primary care physician or contact my health insurance company to find one. I was disappointed because their website lead me to believe they could provide treatment. I don’t have insurance nor do I have a primary care physician. Their website suggested I would be covered in those situations using statements like; “Supporting your health wherever you are. US-based… We have you covered from A to Z and are here to support your wellbeing over time… Their website even makes statements on what treatments they cannot provide; “There are some conditions that we don’t treat. Please see an in-person doctor or hospital if you experience any of the following: Traumatic brain or spinal cord injury, Chest pain and/or numbness, Vomiting or coughing blood, Lacerations, Loss of consciousness, Broken bones, Severe burns, Pediatric ear infections. Also, our doctors are unable to write prescriptions for controlled substances such as codeine or oxycodone. Please see a doctor in person if you require medication classified as a controlled substance.” I requested a refund immediately, case number *** with *** from Member Support. 2/19/2019 I contacted again, *** from Member Support, said he would comment my account and gave me a case number; ***. *** couldn’t give me a timeframe on the refund because a separate department handled those requests, although it showed promise because someone reviewed my account that day. I asked for a phone number directly to that department and I was told they don’t have one, when I asked for a manager I was told it would yield the same results because a different department handles those requests. On 2/26/2019 I contacted *** from Member Support. He said someone should have made a decision by now and decided to create another case number if the previous one was overlooked. New case number 15173. On 3/8/2019 I received an email from ***. a Team Lead from Member Support ***. “I have reviewed your account and at this time we are unable to provide a refund because you did complete a medical visit and the provider rendered medical advice.” In the end I was charged $75 without the opportunity for a refund. I wanted to complete a visit but I was told the organization wasn’t setup to create tests and issue care. Additionally the doctor’s medical advice was to see an allergy doctor. That is not considered treatment. Medical advice is the action of giving a diagnosis or prescribing a treatment for a medical condition. Thank for you your attention to this matter. I hope we find a fair and just solution. Sincerely

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:

Doctor On Demand hasn't reached out to me like they say they have in their response, I was only informed by the Revdex.com. I have however received an email stating that I will receive a refund, but that hasn't processed yet, (so far 3 of 5 business days have passed). I was told the refund was, "due to your frustration", this concerns me because the refund should be for services not rendered; a systemic issue that should have been resolved without including the Revdex.com.

Doctors On Demand charged me for services that I did not receive. I did not get the medical treatment that they are charging me for. After I paid their fee, the medical service that Doctors on Demand provided was, and I quote; "you need to see a doctor." I was charged 49 dollars for Doctors on Demand to tell me to go see a doctor. Its like if I were to take my car to a mechanic to be fixed and the mechanic say that I need to get my car fixed. Its wrong.

Saw a doctor who looked at my son's pink eye. He called was going to call in a prescription, 4 hours later I called to check status, they could not tell me, just that it was in process, 12 hours later same thing. 24 hours later, same thing. Everytime you try to escalate to a supervisor you get told there is no one else to talk to. How the heck do you not even call in prescriptions?

I am in the middle of a terrible experience with Doctors on Demand I cannot get them to return a single call to my insurance My pharmacy has been trying to fill new Rx's for me for a week now These RXs are for daily medicine's that should have a gap this long between taking At this point I have spent so much money out of pocket since it's for mental health, I can't afford to start over with a local psychiatrist I couldn't be more dissappointed :(

I suffer from depression. I was put on an antidepressant for 30 days. I had another appointment the following month where I was given a 3 month supply. I had scheduled bwith another doctor because my original doctor was leaving Dr on Demand. But when I got the 3 month supply, I canceled and planned on rescheduling in March. I go to the pharmacy and no Rx. I got an emergency 3 day supply. I called and was told my doctor would be contacted for the Rx. I called yesterday with 1 pill left, and was told there was nothing they could do. I had to wait for the process. They suggested I find another doctor. I asked to speak to a manager. The rep put me on hold for 20 minutes to find one. Then she came back and said the manager said they couldn't help me. I scheduled ban appointment with another doctor per their suggestion. I got an email at 2am saying to call them. The rep said I had to schedule with my original doc, even though no appointments are available for a few days and I have no medication. This is scary. quitting this medication cold turkey causes suicidal thoughts, homicidal thoughts. I am legitimately scared for my safety. Thanks Dr on Demand. I did ask for a refund on f the session I did not get my Rx from....guess what....it's a process. Ugh. So dangerous. This should be tantamount to malpractice.

I have tried contacting customer service and there is NO number to call but I can emailI have done that twice since Saturday no replyI saw a dr on Friday and the meds they prescribed I am allergic toI need someone to contact me backmy sinus infection has not gotten any better and I either need a prescription I can take or my money back so I can see a dr who will prescribe me something that won't land me in the ER

My daughter engaged their video service to remedy an issue that she had with her eyeThe Dr prescribed ***, a medicine to treat ear problemsThe prescription instructed her to put the drops in her eyeLuckily, the pharmacist caught it and warned her that if she had followed the instructions of the Dr, she would be blind

I was diagnosed with the flu and needed an excuse for workI was told that it would take TWO days to get a note emailed to meThat is CRAZYI will never use this service againIt’s too bad for the doctors who are greatThe customer service is awfulThe lady I spoke to was very rudeI recommend going with another video doctor service

The service is a scam and should be honest with when and where they can operate My doctor was knowledgeable and seemed caring but then told me he couldn’t prescribe medications in VA and I would need to see a doctor in person Costing me $with no outcome

I had used this service to see a doctor for my one year old son. After connecting with a doctor she asked what was wrong. I told her some of his symptoms and she asked no additional diagnostic questions. I thought this was strange, particularly as he is too young to communicate how he is feeling. After 3 minutes, the call ended. The doctor had provided an incorrect diagnosis compared to the other doctor from Dr on Demand I called 30 minutes later. He spent nearly 20 minutes diagnosing the issue and asked at least 15 questions of things for me to check. I contacted Dr on Demand and their resolution was “since you used the service we cannot provide a refund”.

On January 7, 2019, around 3 am (CST), I contacted Doctor On Demand for my son since he had symtoms of fever, severe cough, and irritability. Prior receiving the video call from the doctor assigned to my son's case, I paid for the services and provided the list of symptoms mentioned before as well as additional information about my son such as age, gender, and main health issues. After all of these information was shared with Doctor On Demand, I received a communication that a medical provider was reviewing my son's case and to let me know I will be receiving a video call within few minutes. My husband was present during the video call and we both shared our health concerns with the female doctor assigned and to my surprise the doctor told us to take our son to an Urgent Care. I contacted corporate to complaint about the dissatisfaction and to ask for a refund. Days later our request was denied stating the services were provided.

Received a letter stating my account was being discontinued and when I asked why I was very hurtThey said I had an account in addition to the one I had and I had told them several times to get rid of that one because I never used it and I was also blamed for customer service representatives giving me creditsI have called time after time to explain this and even wrote two letters that I uploaded to there site and no one has truly listened to my side of the storyI feel very taken advantage of and not valued as a client

The short story: Doctor on Demand is a tech company--they have a great appHowever, the medical treatment options exclude most of the stuff that you might want to use it for, like ear achesOn top of that, customer service is disappointingI give them stars because the experience seems like a sitcom subplot rather than a medical visitYour mileage may vary depending on your illness or desperation
On the night before Christmas (well, nights before), my child had an ear acheI checked Doctor on Demand's app to see if ear ache is a "condition we don't treat." Ear aches aren't listed, so I made the appoint and paid $A doctor was on the phone within minutes! I was thinking that this would be such a boon for parents
The doctor's first instruction was to insert our digital otoscope into the child's earOtoscope? I explained that I don't have one; the doctor replied that he couldn't help me over the phone unless I had an otoscopeHe ended the visit after 3:and told me that the copay would be refundedHe was very professional but seemed exasperated that I called without preparing my digital otoscope
So I googled it--and digital otoscopes that work with a cell phone cost from $and upHmmmWhy did he expect a consumer to have a medical-grade device intended for rural hospitals? Weird
After a month, I called the customer service numberThe rep confirmed that my account was marked for a refund that magically "somehow didn't go through." She authorized the return and asked if there was anything else
Actually, I said, there is: can you forward my comments to someone that runs the app, so that earaches is added as a "condition we don't treat"? No, she explainedThe site says what it says, and it won't be changed because of one person's experiencePlus, she explained, sometimes the doctors can diagnose ear aches over the phoneSometimes they treat ear aches, other times not based upon criteria that are not enumerated; this is a weird company that I won't do business with again
