First time ever using a telehealth providerI entered my symptoms and the medicines too which I am allergicDr comes online and states that my symptoms are viral and proceeds to prescribe Rx and OTCsUpon reviewing the Rx, it indicates that its common names include the absolute drug to which I am acutely allergicThe OTCs were for AllergiesI got sick after being at the airport for hours - not an allergyAnd if I had not read the Rx info pamphlet, I would have taken the drug and gone into an anaphylactic response

I wrote to customer service with a question regarding the app/visit I still haven't heard back from them and it’s been over days, for them to say that they get back to you within a couple of hours isn’t true in my case! Great service provided, but I wouldn’t expect customer service to answer your question/s!! Avoid using this service!! They just want your money, the doctors note that I was supposed to give to my boss wasn’t given to me until after I was supposed to go back I had to go see a doctor in person in order to get further treatment and get the note my boss was looking for.....the treatment that I was given was exactly what I was already doing! Don’t use this!!! You will regret it!!

I paid Dr. on Demand $75.00 dollars for nothing. I needed antibiotics and the doctor would not prescribe them even though I was dealing with a severe sinus infection.
I then went to a local Dr. whom confirmed my suspision and immediatly gave me the antibiotics I needed.
Don't waste your time or money. I asked for a refund and they said since the Dr. spoke with me, even thought they gave no service I owed them money. I then filed a dispute with Visa so they don't get paid for nothing.
Bad business.

First time ever using a telehealth provider. I entered my symptoms and the medicines too which I am allergic. Dr comes online and states that my symptoms are viral and proceeds to prescribe 1 Rx and 2 OTCs. Upon reviewing the Rx, it indicates that its common names include the absolute drug to which I am acutely allergic. The OTCs were for Allergies. I got sick after being at the airport for 20 hours - not an allergy. And if I had not read the Rx info pamphlet, I would have taken the drug and gone into an anaphylactic response.

The service is a scam and should be honest with when and where they can operate. My doctor was knowledgeable and seemed caring but then told me he couldn’t prescribe medications in VA and I would need to see a doctor in person. Costing me $75 with no outcome.

I am in the middle of a terrible experience with Doctors on Demand. I cannot get them to return a single call to my insurance. My pharmacy has been trying to fill 2 new Rx's for me for a week now. These RXs are for daily medicine's that should have a gap this long between taking. At this point I have spent so much money out of pocket since it's for mental health, I can't afford to start over with a local psychiatrist. I couldn't be more dissappointed :(

The short story: Doctor on Demand is a tech company--they have a great app. However, the medical treatment options exclude most of the stuff that you might want to use it for, like ear aches. On top of that, customer service is disappointing. I give them 2 stars because the experience seems like a sitcom subplot rather than a medical visit. Your mileage may vary depending on your illness or desperation.

On the night before Christmas (well, 3 nights before), my child had an ear ache. I checked Doctor on Demand's app to see if ear ache is a "condition we don't treat." Ear aches aren't listed, so I made the appoint and paid $40. A doctor was on the phone within 3 minutes! I was thinking that this would be such a boon for parents....

The doctor's first instruction was to insert our digital otoscope into the child's ear. Otoscope? I explained that I don't have one; the doctor replied that he couldn't help me over the phone unless I had an otoscope. He ended the visit after 3:47 and told me that the copay would be refunded. He was very professional but seemed exasperated that I called without preparing my digital otoscope.

So I googled it--and digital otoscopes that work with a cell phone cost from $400 and up. Hmmm. Why did he expect a consumer to have a medical-grade device intended for rural hospitals? Weird.

After a month, I called the customer service number. The rep confirmed that my account was marked for a refund that magically "somehow didn't go through." She authorized the return and asked if there was anything else.

Actually, I said, there is: can you forward my comments to someone that runs the app, so that earaches is added as a "condition we don't treat"? No, she explained. The site says what it says, and it won't be changed because of one person's experience. Plus, she explained, sometimes the doctors can diagnose ear aches over the phone. Sometimes they treat ear aches, other times not based upon criteria that are not enumerated; this is a weird company that I won't do business with again.

I wrote to customer service with a question regarding the app/visit. I still haven't heard back from them and it’s been over 3 days, for them to say that they get back to you within a couple of hours isn’t true in my case!

I have tried contacting customer service and there is NO number to call but I can email. I have done that twice since Saturday no reply. I saw a dr on Friday and the meds they prescribed I am allergic to. I need someone to contact me back... my sinus infection has not gotten any better and I either need a prescription I can take or my money back so I can see a dr who will prescribe me something that won't land me in the ER.

I was diagnosed with the flu and needed an excuse for work. I was told that it would take TWO days to get a note emailed to me. That is CRAZY. I will never use this service again. It’s too bad for the doctors who are great. The customer service is awful. The lady I spoke to was very rude. I recommend going with another video doctor service.
