This vehicle in question has been previously warned on 6/14/for
abusing the visitor spacesIf the complainant felt they received warning sticker unjustly, they should have contacted us or their management company. Once a vehicle has been parked so many times in the community,
they are considered to be a residentThis community does not allow
residents to occupy visitor spaces during the hours of 9am-9pmThe
vehicle was towed on 7/11/for visitor violation / parked in
visitor too often / resident in guest. If we were at fault and towed the car incorrectly then why wasnt this brought to our attention after the first tow? We attempted to tow again
on 2/14/for the same reason, visitor violation / resident in
guest but was stopped by vehicle owner and we released the car for the $drop
fee as required by lawIf the complainant feels they did not violate the parking policy,
they should contact the HOA board. I would be glad to discuss further and can reached at ###-###-####As far as this complaint- please close as invalidWe the business acted on behalf of the community rules in which the complainant violated
Please feel free to contact with any further questions.Dwight G***

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
The permit was visible from out side that vehicle on both the driver and passenger sides and a reasonable person would have checked with the office, which was open and had record of the permit that was purchased before towing the carFurthermore, the employee indicated that the tow was a mistake but that he could not authorize waiving the fee $was payed by me to get my car and not get the employee in trouble Not for one moment did I think this company would not admit the mistake and refund my moneyI was completely shocked that the fee was not waived
I maintain that my car was legally parked with a valid permit and should never have been towed because the permit was visibleRegards,

***,
I have been in contact with Dominion about the charge however they seem to not be budging on the payment. I am going to try to see if having the property manager call Monday will have some leave way with the situation. I have attached the only section I found in the lease about the parking policy. It is a Virginia state lease however so it doesn’t have our exact policy written down. However, our policy is guest spots must have guest passes to be parked in guest. The yellow are free and are good till 11pm. The blue are overnight passes which cost $per pass per night and are good till pm the next day. I apologize that I can’t help further but I will get back to you regarding the property manager contacting dominion. Thank you for allowing me some time to look into this matter. I hope you have a great rest of your day*** ** *** * *** ***

This is the copy of the attachment provided by the apartment complex with clarification in the body of the emailThey agree I should get refunded
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The only policy they forwarded to me was the text of the email, which I copied and pasted in my last message I also included the picture of the permit to show how it was visible from the outside The apartment complex has twice tried to reason with the towing company and they are refusing to refund based on the permit not being on the dash As you can see from the email from the manager of the complex, their written policy is sketchy… and nowhere does it mandate the permit be on the dash To be fair, it does say so on the permit itself, but the exact words are: "Permit must be clearly displayed on the front dashboard AND VISIBLE FROM OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE." then it says "ANY ALTERATIONS OR CHANGES TO THIS PERMIT WILL RESULT IN TOWING OF THE VEHICLE."
Interesting, no alterations were made, and it DOES NOT SAY having the permit visible but not on the dashboard would result in towing Nit picky, but true ***
I am rejecting this response because: The company owner should ask his driver where on the car did the boom lift up and how was the car positioned upon towing it Your company towed me and I payed the collection fee without any hassle Be a responsible business owner and honor your company's mistake
Good Morning ***,I have tried responding via the Revdex.com website but I keep receiving an error message.Unfortunately I was not able to pull this tow ticket up originally because a different person paid for the car and the complainant provided an incorrect addressThe vehicle was towed from the old *** *** at *** *** ***, not a doctors office as stated by complainant. I've attached pictures taken prior to tow- you will notice the long scratch is preexisting on the passenger side door / side, as well as the vehicle parked at *** *** at *** *** ***.However, I am unable to see the alleged damage on the splash guard, as there is dirt and debris in pictures provided by complainant. I would be glad to inspect in person, complainant will need to contact my office to set up an appointment.This vehicle was parked unattended in a vacant lot in which numerous possibilities could have caused the claimed damage.If the complainant does not agree, I recommend for them to contact their insurance company about the damage, not the Revdex.com.I don't believe the Revdex.com would have any way to determine who is at fault on a damage claim and am requesting this case to be closed as such.Dwight G***office ###-###-####-- Dwight G*** **Dominion Towing, INC.PO Box ***Lorton, VA ***Office ###-###-####Fax ###-###-####Please visit us at WWW.DOMINIONTOWING.COM
Good Afternoon,
The complainant parked their vehicle on private property in violation of the parking rules and regulations The reason was for displaying an expired permitThe complainant then chose to go back and park in the same area, still in
violation, therefore, was towed againUnfortunately there is no rule in place which allows a motorist to park illegally on private propertyAnd although the complainant would like us to make such rule- that is out of our control, we do not make the rules or lawsComplainant should contact the local government body to assist thatThe disputed amount is $185, but the complainant was charged only $We reduced the tow fee by $out of kindness, simply because they were towed twice in daysDominion Towing has already acted in good faith by reducing the tow fee prior to complainant contacting the Revdex.comPlease understand that Dominion Towing tows illegally parked vehicles that have violated the parking policy of the property ownerI would be happy to discuss further and can be reached at ###-###-####
Picking up my daughter for Thanksgiving break (she's a student at George M*** University)Always park on Roberts Road (which is safe from towing supposedly) until it is time to leaveWhen I parked in the guest parking spot across from the townhouse for all of 1/to minutes in order to bring suitcases to the car driver had already put the "launchpad" under my rental carI'm assuming it was an easy target since it had Texas plates on itShe claimed the car was there for longer than it was (mind you it's a guest parking spot anyway) because she had driven completely around the neighborhood in that amount of time...that is literally impossible because I have driven in this neighborhood and there are many turnarounds and parking spots plus she's driving a tow truck so obviously she was determined to get the one easiest to rip offMy daughter and I were literally coming out for our second trip to the car (she had changed for the trip home because she had just gotten off work..she walks to and from) when we had to pay $just for her to take her "launchpad" out from under my carThis is ludicrous considering even George M*** gives you a thirty minute window to get your car out before they towCompanies that charge fifty dollars just to slide those bars back out are the lowest of crooks especially considering the car was not there for over minutesHeck, I wouldn't mind making that kind of money but I wouldn't be able to sleep at night knowing that I have not even attempted to make things right with the customerMy daughter called to complain ...the first time they claimed management wasn't in; the second time it took forever to get management and then he said "quit wasting my time." This is no way to run a businessThese kind of companies should not be allowed to operate...again I stress the car was in a "guest" parking sparking for all of minutes! Driver was incredibly rude, management was rude and obviously they're just out for a quick buck at the expense of parents/grandparents who haven't seen their kid(s) for monthsJust make sure these negative reviews stay on their page because people need to know how Dominion treats people!
Complainants vehicle was towed twice- The first time  2/25/14 she was towed was for having an expired permit as well as having advertising on the vehicle. The second time the vehicle was towed 3/1/14 was because the vehicle displayed advertising. This is a violation of the...
parking rules and regulations of the private community complainant was parked at. See attached for rules on commercial vehicles as well as pictures for both tows. Also attached a a copy of receipt given at time of retrieval of the vehicle- both receipts state "commercial vehicle". Unfortunately there will be no refund since the vehicle was in violation both times. If complainant has an issue with the parking rules then they should take it up with the management for the community.Please feel free to contact for further clarification.Dwight G[redacted]
This complaint is regarding damage and who is liable.  There is no way for the Revdex.com to determine whether or not Dominion Towing is at fault so I am requesting this case to be closed.  However, I will add that our manager Ken did investigate and found no wrong doing on our part and he has...
been in contact with the complainant. I would be glad to discuss further and can be reached at ###-###-####Dwight G[redacted]
Good Afternoon,Complainants vehicle was towed because it was in violation of the policy for [redacted] which is an apartment complex. The rule states that you are not allowed to use the visitor spaces for more than 48hours / 2 nights in a row or more than 2 times in a 7 day...
As I stated previously, this case should be closed as invalid. The Revdex.com has no way to determine if damage was caused by the tow, nor has the complainant provided proof that Dominion Towing damaged his /her vehicle.  I have offered to discuss further but complainant has not contacted me.The complainants insurance company has been in contact with Dominion Towing, and at this point, it is their job to settle.Once again, I can be reached at ###-###-####Dwight G[redacted]
[redacted] was towed because he parked on
private property
with expired tags. His tags expired 2/28/15, and he was towed on
3/8/15. We have nothing to go by except what is displayed
on the
vehicle. [redacted] may have paperwork showing his vehicle was
...
registered, but
without it being displayed we have no way to know that nor has that paperwork been provided to us. On his
first phone call
he stated that he had the paperwork with him. On his next phone
call, which was
after his vehicle was picked up, he stated that the paperwork was
on the dash
of the car. We have photos of the vehicle taken prior to tow
showing that there
was no such paperwork displayed on his vehicle. We do honor online
registration
renewal paperwork up to 15 days from the date they renewed. Also,
while the DMV
says it may take up to 15 days to receive your stickers in the
mail, it
generally takes 3-4 days maximum. The price [redacted] paid, $185,
is the fee
that is set by Fairfax County for private property towing. His
vehicle had the
base fee of $135, the after hours (7p-8a) fee of $25, and the
weekend fee
(Sunday) of $25. [redacted]’ vehicle was towed with a wheel-lift
tow truck, and
our tow operators are highly trained and skilled in what they do.
His [redacted]
[redacted] is a front wheel drive vehicle, and therefore the driver
would hook to
the front wheels. If his emergency brake was set, the driver would
release the
emergency brake before towing the vehicle. No damage would be done
with the
alignment, rim or suspension using this type of truck. However, if
[redacted]
feels as though there was damage done to his vehicle he is welcome
to contact
our management team and discuss how his vehicle was towed. Please see attached for photos proving that the license plates are expired and there is no receipt or documentation on the dash as claimed by [redacted].I can be reached at ###-###-####Sincerely,Dwight G[redacted]
On 12/22/2014 an authorized agent for  [redacted] in Alexandria VA asked us to tow an abandoned [redacted]
that was not authorized to park on their property. It had been left on their property for about a week.  We impounded this
vehicle at 10:00 AM and reported it to the...
Fairfax County Police
Deparment. By law, we filed a storage lien with DMV on
12/26/14, which is 3 business days after we towed the vehicle
(12/25/14 was a Federal holiday.)  On 12/29/14 a DMV representative
processed this paperwork.  We kept the
vehicle for 46 days, which is 16 days more than required by law.
This vehicle went to auction on 2/6/15 and was
auctioned for $1,000.00. The outstanding balance owed on that
vehicle would be the responsibility of the registered owner, and is
$1,875.00.
Ms. [redacted] called on 2/19/15 and told Ashley that she let her neighbor
borrow the vehicle and that they had just informed her the vehicle
had been impounded. . Ashley answered all
of Ms. [redacted]'s questions, and helped her to the best of her ability. It is illegal to abandon a vehicle in Virginia. Per code
46.2-1200, it is defined as "...remained more than 48 hours on
private property without the consent of the property owner,
regardless of whether is was brought onto the private property with
the consent of the owner or person in control of the private
property".  As a vehicle owner, it is Ms. [redacted]'s responsibility to
maintain the whereabouts of her vehicle. If her vehicle was loaned
to someone for 46 days, it is her responsibility to know where it
is, and if the neighbor got it impounded, Ms. [redacted] should pursue
legal action toward them.
Per Fairfax County code 82-5-32 Section E-4 (Personal Property) part
b, "Personal Property must be released immediately upon the Vehicle
Owner's request without charge, and it shall be the duty of the
Operator to return it to the Vehicle Owner if the Vehicle Owner
claims the items prior to auction." We were not contacted by the
vehicle owner until 2/18/15, and by then the vehicle was already
auctioned off. Dominion Towing does not go through any vehicles
prior to auction. Dominion Towing does dispose of the vehicle
license plates prior to auction, as those do not belong to the
vehicle.
We are denying the claim to replace the vehicle and belongings, as
there was no wrong doing on our part. If the complainant would like to discuss further via phone, I can be reached at ###-###-####Please close this case as invalid and in favor for Dominion Towing.Sincerely,Dwight G[redacted]--
Good Afternoon,Complainants vehicle was towed because it was in
violation of the policy for [redacted]s which is an apartment complex.
period.We monitor the visitor spaces, record each vehicle make and tag, and tow once they have exceeded the time limit. We do not make or write the parking policy, we simply enforce the rules by towing the vehicles in violation. I would be glad to discuss further with the complainant and resolve any miss-understandings. I can be reached at ###-###-####Dwight G[redacted]
Good afternoon,Im unaware of this incident. I've placed a call to the complainant to try and resolve.  I can reached at ###-###-####.Thanks,[redacted]
Good Morning,The vehicle was towed because it did NOT display a permit. I've attached photos to prove there was no permit on the dashboard or visible from outside of the vehicle. The community where parked requires a permit to be displayed at all times.The tow fee should have been...
$150 but we reduced the fee by $50 as a courtesy because the complainant did have a permit inside the vehicle. There was not a mistake on the towing company or driver who towed the vehicle. The mistake was made by the complainant who did not properly place the permit on the dash. I would be glad to discuss further with the complainant, I can be reached at ###-###-####.Thanks,Dwight G[redacted]
Good Afternoon~Thank you for bringing this to my attention, we take all complaints very serious.This particular vehicle was parked without the proper permit and in violation of the HOA There is signs posted at all entrances stating you need a permit. Our tow driver observed...
the vehicle and took pictures of the violation showing "no permit", see attached. As you will see no one is in or around the vehicle so our driver proceeded to tow the vehicle.Vehicle owner did come out of the house once our truck was hooked to vehicle but at that point, there is a $50 drop fee, and yes it is legal per [redacted] County. The vehicle owner must be ready, willing and able to pay, otherwise the tow company has the right to leave the property and impound the vehicle.Dominion Towing was fully in compliance with the local ordinances and parking policy for the community.I would be glad to discuss further with the complainant and can be reached at [redacted]@dominiontowing.com or ###-###-####Sincerely,Dwight G[redacted]
 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: The pictures of the signs in the attachment do clearly state that there is 2 hour parking and towing is enforced and there are instructions on the meter which I do not dispute.  What I dispute is that there is not adequate signage or communication that the garage is metered parking.  There is nothing to indicate to the drivers that action must be taken at the meter.  Image [redacted] is posted off to the side on a door to enter into the apartment complex, not visible to retail shoppers, only complex residents entering that door.  In fact I had to search the entire level of the garage to find the sign.   I did not reset the meter because I did not have any instructions directing me to a meter.  Nor was I parked for more than 2 hours, which the cameras in the garage can prove.  The entrance to the garage advertises FREE 2 hour parking for retail customers.  It does not advertise Free 2 hour metered parking.Regards,
[redacted]
