this company has horrible customer service [redacted] Charles never follows up the office staff -Lisa is the only one who seems to care after weeks waiting for them to fix my AC I had to go somewhere else DO NOT USE DONE RIGHT - THEY DO IT ALL WRONG

This is a bogus complaint

Hubby & I greatly appreciate Charles, owner of Done Right AC for going the extra mile & working late so that we could be cool & comfy tonight! Thank You Done Right ACwe salute you!

As a professional tradesman with a near 99% accuracy rating, I tested that accessory that was added to your unit needlesslyThe accessory failed to test proper ohms or voltageYou failed to observe the test being performed because that was the time when you were telling me to save my breath and not explain anything to you and just do whatever I needed to get your unit fixedYou walked away while I was using my Fluke multimeter to test the unit and the accessoryThe accessory failed the test and was deemed to be malfunctioningThe accessory, with your permission, was removed and the unit restored to manufacturer specificationThe accessory has been dropped into the garbage, where it belongsAfter removing that accessory and restoring the unit to factory specifications, I tested again and found proper signal reaching the motor, but the motor was not respondingThat's when I determined that the motor was faulty and needed replacement.I was attempting to explain to you that when a contractor installs things that are not locally available to other contractors, it causes unnecessary delays in servicing the unitYou became rude and agitatedI don't understand why you insist on my returning a broken part that does not prevent your a/c from being repaired We provided the part number to your blower motor to your warranty company and they determined that due to the extremely over-inflated cost of replacement parts for your brand of a/c, they felt that installing a new unit would be the better route to followI fail to see how any of this warrants your harassing and bothersome callsEach of my office staff has asked me to keep them from any exposure to you, as you have a tendancy to be hostile and don't permit any of us to explain anything to you before you start screaming profanities at usYou have not gotten any phone contact from us because you refuse to speak with us as if we are professionals and we do not tolerate abusive treatment As I tried to explain to you in your home that day, I am sorry that you have been put into this position of having a unit that is very expensive to repair and that the contractor who installed it did so, knowing that you would be steered toward being stuck with only their company servicing your unitI didn't do this to you and I was frustrated in seeing a customer in this positionI tried to explain this to you, but you just wouldn't let meYou were disrespectful and spoke to me as if I were your servant who had just spilled a glass of Port on your new carpet Please stop harassing us and good luck with your friends at that other company BTW: I know how much they quoted you for your replacement motor and they are more than doubling the cost of that motorYou are being charged over $maon a motor that can be installed in minutes

We are not happy with themWe had no AC for days prior due to the AC going out Friday eveningWhen they came out they didn't even fix the problemIt's 82's degrees in our house at night and it gets hotter during the dayThey should not leave until the problem is resolvedAnd at worst if they have other jobs to do, at least come back and make sure it is working properly

This company has been nothing but quick, professional, informative, and fairOur A/C went out in August (months) ago, and we have been battling with our warranty company and the first company that was supposed to fix the problemOnce Done Right became part of the equation, there was no longer any misinformation, miscommunication or ridiculous waiting periodsI would highly recommend this company

I had a very long discussion with the owner of the business about their reviews and I learned some interesting factsAccording to the owner, his business has performed more than ten thousand services in the past few years and only a handful of negative reviews have been filed, with some customers filing complaints on multiple sites with different namesThe owner pointed out that (as any rational person will already know) it is impossible to please all the people all the time and for so few complaints with such high volume of work, the average is quite impressive It has been my experience that the owner of the business is a highly intelligent man and his staff is personally vested in the success of the business and show that by performing their work to a very high standardThey are very knowledgeable, courteous, and most helpful The owner and some of his staff have claimed that the complaints filed against his business are lodged by mentally disturbed individuals and judging by my experiences with them over the last few years on multiple occasions at multiple properties I own and rent, I am inclined to agree Again....The people at Done Right really know their stuff and when they were stumped once, I saw the owner come quickly to help his workers to resolve the issueThey have PROVEN to me that they are honest and sincere people, worthy of my trust

This company rigged my AC/Heat and installed a part that was not meant for my unit(cutting corners) They left my house saying I was good to go and everything is working fineSoon enough, my unit just about caught on fireSending heavy smoke through all my vents and filling up my house with smoke (in a matter of 15-seconds)All the fire alarms sirened off and everythingI had to air out my entire house of burnt electrical plasticIt was a blessing to be awake and alert or this could have been a disaster or a tragedyNext day they came back with little explaination to why the unit just about caught on fire(nonchalant attitude) A specific technician which has a very short fuse (hot headed)When questioned about his work done the day prior, he pops offHe was told to leave my house bc of his unprofessionalism behavior and demeanorWhich lead to him pulling a gun and pointing itBy no means should an AC company pull a gun on youI was told by the owner himself of Done Right AC, that all his employees carry weapons on waiste bandincluding in your home, locked and loadedIt sounds to me like pulling a gun on their customers is protocol, standard operating proceduresThis is ludicrous

On October 13, 2015, Done Right AC serviced my central AC unit and fixed the problemThe technician's name was Charles C***, and the repair was done in a prompt and timely mannerThe problem was only called in today at 4:AMThis is the second time Done Right has serviced my AC unit and both times they have completed the job in an exemplary way

Done Right just installed a complete new AC system in my officeCompleted the work in one day and cleaned up afterwardsI noticed an air leak in duct and they returned the next morning and re-sealed it No further problemsAlso installed other new AC systems in my rental properties over past years and have had zero problemsGave me good advice and corrected existing duct problems in two properties

Have not had air conditioning working for over weeks Done right is the most horrific service organization Do not call back They do not order parts when they say they have They make promises they do not keep Done right is done WRONG

Done Right AC has a policy that charged me $for a permit fee (AC replacement) when the actual price of the permit at city hall was $ They also took my old unit without my consent and charged me $75.00, and anchored the AC unit without my consent and charged me $
I was forced to use them because of my warranty insurance and when I tried to reason with them Done Right AC said for me to get someone else The insurance said they had no other contractor to send so I has to settle with them
When they replaced my AC unit Done Right AC never pulled a permit and only did so after I caught them I filed a complaint with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations and Done Right AC was fined for failing to follow Texas statues/rules
I did not want them to take my old unit but had no choice and even had to pay them $ For them to install the anchors for $did nothing I still have to get a windstorm inspector to inspect the anchors which comes at a cost of about $
I expressed my concerns with the insurance prior to their service but since they are a contractor for the warranty insurance, any disagreement is between the contractor and the customer This put Done Right AC at an advantage over the customers
Although it is their policy and they can do and charge what they want it is not fair to take advantage of the customers

We enter several thousand homes every yearWe have never before been accused of damaging property and then refusing to accept responsibilityTwice before, we damaged property and immediately brought it to the attention of the customer and negotiated a cash settlement that was acceptable to the
customer and to the business ownerWe are not bashful about admitting that we are human and make mistakesWhen we do make a mistake or have an accident, we own up to it and take care of itWhen we did nothing wrong however, we will not take responsibilityThis customer has a history of dishonesty and has attempted to defraud her warranty companyLast year, we provided a diagnosis to the customer and informed her of the charges she would have to pay that were not covered by her warranty companyShe flat refused to pay anything and ordered this same technician to leave her property immediately and refused to even pay the copay she was responsible for through her warranty serviceThis year, we were dispatched to this address by a different warranty companyShe had purchased a new warranty, which means she told them that there were no pre-existing failures to the systemWe had already informed her the year before that she had this issue and she had not done anything to repair itThat is the very definition of a pre-existing condition. On this visit, she walked the tech into a bedroom and asked him to verify the air is or is not coming out of the ventHe held his hand up to the vent and said he could feel airThen they both walked out of the room togetherAt no time was the tech left alone in the room alone.
Furthermore: The customer is INSISTING that the tech caused this damage with tools that she saw dangling from his tool beltNone of my men have EVER worn a tool beltAll of my men carry a tool bag and our tools are positioned with the protective rubber handles to the outside of the bag and any sharp or blunt edges are located safely inside the bagAs you can see in the photos, the technician is not some kid that has not yet learned to own up to his mistakes and he is in fact carrying a tool bag that fits the description I have provided.
It is unfortunate that the furniture is not in perfect condition, but my technician did not damage it and we will not be returning to this person's home for any reason whatsoeverShe has trained us to believe that she cannot be trusted because she is dishonest and volatile

I don't question where you work, but if you want to admit to being employed by one of the worst gangs in town, that's fine.
I have attached a copy of the work order from last year, where you were complaining of the same issuesWe have never had a different company name and we keep records of all of our jobsWe reported your abusive behavior to AHS and placed a block on your address with them to make sure we never had to work with you againYour attitude and behavior made that kind of impression on usWe forgot about you and put the experience behind us until arriving at your home for a different warranty company with the same issueThe fact that you reported the same issue to a new warranty company without having already repaired it means that you lied to the warranty company when they asked you if there were any failures or deficiencies within the system that predated your policy effective dateIf you had divulged the preexisting condition, there would have been a policy exclusion placed on the a/c system until you had the preexisting condition remedied.
You are claiming in your text message that my tech is lying because he is fearful of my being angryI will counter that accusation with a hypothetical suggestion that perhaps your roommate who occupies that room is fearful of your temper, which you unleashed on my men on their last visit, which you are trying to claim never even occurredWe are professionals and we behave as suchMy men are seasoned veterans of the trade and have been into thousands of homes without damaging anything in the course of intense physical labor with torches and power toolsYou are trying to claim that in the course of walking into a bedroom and holding his hand above his head for a brief moment, he gouged the furniture with rubber-coated tools that his helper was carrying in the other room.
Your claims are unfounded and it is unfair that you are engaging in a campaign against my company because you are not getting away with what you wantWe can not be complicit in insurance fraud and we have the evidence here to prove that is exactly what you are attempting.
When I say your claims are unfounded - please consider the following:
My men drove to your home in my service van and when they returned to the office, there was a scratch in the side of the vanWhen they were inside your home, servicing your air conditioner, you scratched the side of my vanI didn't see you do it, but I know you did itI want you to fix itI have photos of the van with no scratch and now have photos of a deep scratch in the vanI am also contacting your friends and employers to tell them that you have done this damage to my propertyI will tell everybody on Facebook and Yelp and any other website I can that you did it and offer no evidence of suchPlease come to review the damages and tell me how you intend to pay for the repairsThis is no different from what you are doingYou have no evidence to support your claims

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
Obviously, Mr*** does not know the meaning of “thief ” nor “professionally.” A thief steals: I stole nothing. Quite the opposite, in addition to the compensation he received from my warranty company for parts and labor, I paid him the full amount he charged ($600) for the service his company provided a month after the technician’s initial visit to my home I’m not sure how Mr*** expects a customer to behave “professionally.” Is “customer” a profession? For someone to behave professionally, he must have a profession (as in AC repair). As a professional AC repair individual, it’s Mr*** who failed to behave professionally. Unfortunately, after receiving a threatening phone message from Mr. ***, I deemed it necessary to retain an attorney who recommended I also file a complaint with the Texas Attorney General’s Office, my warranty company, and the Texas Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner Apparently, Mr*** may have violated the Texas Fair Debt Collection Practices Act by calling to threaten and accuse me of theft I hope to never have to deal with, the ironically named, Done Right AC Company in any manner whatsoever. As far as I am concerned, the full amount charged has been paid and appropriate agencies have been notified of threats made by a so called professional. Therefore, I consider this matter, at least with involvement of Revdex.com, resolved

This is now day without proper working air conditioningI have a so-called warranty with American Home Shield who has contracted Done Right Air Conditioning to address this work orderThere have been excuses on top of excuses and no communication or updates initiated by this contractorThe owner just came to my home, never apologized for their horrible customer service, has no compassion for this inexcusable "customer service", has offered no compensation, and then left without providing an update on what they plan to doHE LITERALLY LEFT WITHOUT SAYING A SINGLE WORD! Meanwhile, my daughter and I are without properly functioning air conditioning in this heat and my electric bill has already doubled what it's supposed to be at this time of month compared to last yearPlease help!!

I need duct work done and my homeowners warranty contracted this company to come and fix my problemI never received any call from Done Right, it's been over a weekSo I call my home warranty company to see why nobody has contact me to schedule to come outThe home warranty company claims that Done Right says they came out and that's untrue nobody has come to even look at the duct workAnd that I owe $for the service callI want to see the paper work showing my signaturethere's not one because nobody's come to my homeMy home warranty put me on hold and contacted Done Right and they hung up on themThat's not goodSo I Decided to look the company up on the Revdex.com page and found lots of negative reviewsI have no control of who my home warranty contracts but they need to check the Revdex.com and check what customers have claimed about any companyNow I feel uncomfortable because they still are dispatching Done RightI just want to not be lied to and someone to actually contact me and schedule with me a time to come outI'm praying I don't get the run around like other customers have experiencedDon't lie be honest

Air force ac came out and sabotaged my ac unit but thanks to done right it was fixed right

Our AC is out has American Home Shield insurance They send Done Right AC out already in MayThey said the ductwork is leaking and they fixed it, but the AC was still not working then they send 5T or what ever the name is outHe said the pipe is blocked and blew it out, but it was still not working we called again and 5T came out againsaid the thermostat is in the wrong locationWe paid somebody to move the thermostat, but the AC was still not workingWe call the insurance again and they send Done right AC out againThis time they told us the freon is contaminated, we need to pay them $for freon, the insurance pay only $per pound and we need 9lbs according to their paperWe went down to their place of business since we have to cough up the money for the freon and asked if they can send out somebody else to take a look at the unitNext thing we get a call from the owner who informed us we were hostile, witch was not the case, and that we must inform the insurance that the will not fix the unit, so here we sat in July still without ACWe got an accredited independent contractor in and he said nothing is wrong with the freon The blower motor is outThe worst customer service and incompetence I have come across in my lifeI don't know how these companies are allowed to stay in business

My office staff called me to complain that they had to disconnect the line repeatedly because of the profanity you were screamingYou also screamed profanity at me while I was trying to have a civilized conversation with you and I kept asking you to stop shouting at me because my helper could hear you from the passenger side of the vehicle while you were in my left ear via a bluetooth device.
I service thousands of homes every summer and I have earned the top tier ranking with the warranty companies by providing accurate services with a low cost to the customer and maintaining a very low recall rateI can back up my claims with verifiable data reported to us from the warranty companies that hire me and not with a frantic and baseless name-callingWe are not liars and you were standing there when I tested the partYou not seeing me do it or not knowing what you were looking at does not mean that I am incompetent.
I diagnosed a faulty blower motor in your gas furnace and you called here screaming that we don't know what we are doing because your air conditioner was broken, not your heaterYou obviously do not know the first thing about air conditioning and when I attempted to explain things to you, you became hostile and combativeThere will be no refund and we are glad to be done with your home.
We will continue to grow in this market because of the thousands upon thousands of satisfied customers that are willing to listen to the professional advice and services we offer
