Hi [redacted] and [redacted],I want to appolgize for my owners lack of response to your many repair requests. I have informed the owner that he will no longer be able to do his own repairs on his home. If you have any future repair needs I will be assigning them to one of our vendor. My goal is to get...

your repair request completed as quickly as possible.  You guys are great tenants and take fantactic care of the home. You have definitely impoved the home.  I and truly sorry for all your inconvinces. Please accept my deepest appologist. Aloha,[redacted] FahrniFahrni Realty, Inc.

Dear Revdex.com/Mr. [redacted]Hendel’s has been servicing the East Valley for more than 45 years providing all of our customers with competitive pricing, speedy service and above all we treat our customers fairly.  This is how we have become one of the most respected Air Conditioning companies in Arizona.  Hendel’s won the TORCH award for ethics, applauding businesses like ours for exemplary ethics.  All of Hendel’s Technicians are certified and are provided extensive in-house training at Hendel’s.   As with all of our customers, you were provided with the proper recommendations and were appropriately warned about the risks of repairing a 15-year-old Tappan Air Conditioner.  Hendel’s did not damage your “tubes”.  This is the first complaint we have ever received accusing Hendel’s of purposely damaging a unit.

Dear Mr. [redacted]’s took very good care of your mother and she was very happy with the services we provided.  We provided both Maintenance Services and Repair Services for your mother.  Each time your mother contacted [redacted]’s for repair service, we dispatched a...

technician the same day and got her unit cooling/heating.  In all, 7 calls were yearly maintenance, 7 were service repairs and 2 issues were electrical.  The Electrical issues had nothing to do with her HVAC system.  [redacted]’s did not install your HVAC system.. The last few times we serviced your HVAC system our technicians recommended replacement due to the age and costly repairs, you requested the repairs.  All of your statements alleging our technician broke your AC are untruthful and you weren’t charged for the last service call.  We not only took very good care of your mother, we tried to provide you with the proper recommendations for the age of your HVAC system. [redacted]'s tried to assist you with financing and costs, but you became belligerent, cursing and yelling at our employees.

Customer purchased a thermostat and failed to install it properly on a new home he just purchased that Airtron installed the heating and cooling on. Should have been a $325 charge for a new Honeywell 300 stat. Airtron waved the charges for a replacment stat and installed a new one. We left old stat...

with home owner.

Furnace was leaking water. We are going to replace Furnace and indoor coil.

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted].  We have had contact with [redacted], [redacted] and [redacted] of Airtron, [redacted] stated via a...

facebook message that a one year service agreement has been added to our system at no charge and we greatly appreciate that.  [redacted] from Airtron fixed our flue Wednesday and we are so far happy with the repair.  While we greatly appreciate [redacted]s gesture and the repair of our flue we still feel we should not have been charged the $167 for repair of the air conditioning. Our air conditioning stopped working in June of 2014.  A tech from Airtron came to address the issue and informed us he thought the "blower motor settings" were incorrect causing the issue however he would be adding a warranty to the system in case the issue presented again this summer (2015).  The tech that came to our home on 6/8 stated he was charging me $167 for the "part" a "capacitator" and when I informed him the system had a ten year parts warranty and I could retrieve the warranty paperwork he told me he had to make a phone call to the office and drove off.  When I called [redacted] from Airtron he informed me the $167 charge was for the labor as the system does have a parts warranty.  I am concerned I was quoted $167 for a part and the same $167 was quoted for labor, the repair took approximately 10 minutes, if the charge was for labor I would estimate Airtron's labor charges to be $1002/hr (six ten minute increments multiplied by $167 per increment), this is more than any profession I am aware of.  It became 90 degrees in our home.  We had to purchase $70 of fans just to make the situation slightly bearable. At the recommendation of Vectren we purchased a carbon monoxide detector incurring additional expense as well.  I had to use my inhaler due to the sudden onset of shortness of breath I feel directly related to the poor air quality at my home.  Vectren shut off our gas main as a result of the flue not being installed correctly and felt the incorrectly installed flue caused the failure of the water heater pilot light and also caused us to be exposed to carbon monoxide.  I awoke Monday with a terrible headache, racing heart and numb hands, all symptoms of carbon monoxide exposure.  Due to our gas being shut off we were unable to bathe or cook with our stove as our appliances are gas.  We just purchased groceries at the store the day prior to this situation and had planned meals for the week, we had very little that was able to be microwaved in our home.  Honestly we were absolutely miserable due to this situation, the lack of air conditioning added insult to injury when we were unable to bathe or cook meals.  We have two children and heated up water in bowls in the microwave just to be able to let them wash off.  When I called Airtron on Monday after the tech that was supposed to fix our air conditioning left without explanation [redacted] at Airtron truly didn't seem to understand the urgency and misery of our situation.  Again we greatly appreciate [redacted]s service agreement on the system and apology for the inconvenience.  [redacted] and [redacted] were the nicest people we spoke with on the telephone at Airtron and I appreciate that tremendously.  [redacted] was professional and listened to our concerns when he came to our home to repair the flue, for that we are appreciative.  Given the reasons described above as a resolution we feel the $167 should be refunded at this time.Regards,[redacted]

This customer was contacted and we are sending refund. Issue has been resolved.

Airtron provides warranty periods for equipment installed and honors the warranties that fall within that obligation, unfortunately this part is outside of its warranty period. We offer extended service beyond the warranty period, however customers are free to use the services of any company...

they choose after their warranty period is up. Airtron will refund the $89 service diagnostic charge.

ODU was damaged previously by vandalism of some sort. We replaced the coil guard and top piece of ODU which MI Homes took care of the charges previously.  If this unit was  kinked from day one the system would have never worked. This is not a warranty issue.

Mr. M[redacted] did not provide the model or serial at the time of purchase, he provided the amperage and RPM’s.  The model and serial numbers were provided after he attempted to install the motor and then return it.  He purchased the motor on 9/16/17.  The motor that he purchased did match the specs of the motor he brought in at the time of his purchase. In the response from Hendel's  above, they stated that I didn't provide the model or serial # at the time of purchase but then said I brought the motor in at the time of purchase. The motor has the model and serial # on it so I did provide the model and serial number by bringing the motor in at the time of purchase. The sold me the wrong motor.

His reply is a standard reply trying to deny any wrong doing. ALL of the competitors in the AC industry offer limited warranties/guarantees when they do work. Our AC did NOT have leaky copper tubes prior to [redacted]s showing up to replace the Fan Wheel, and within 12 hours of them doing service ALL of the Refridgerant had leaked out of our system, which would indicate that at the time of the "repairs" they did, they also broke the copper tubes, and are now trying to charge me upwards of $800. This is THEIR fault....they damaged the tubes, and we've been without AC for 5 weeks in the middle of summer. I'm contemplating a lawsuit.[redacted]Revdex.com:

[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]  The repairman said the unit was not vandalized.  Airtron is lying.

Airtron stands by our original responce.

Hendel’s has been servicing the East Valley’s air conditioning needs for more than 47 years.  As an added service for the Do-it-yourselfers Hendel’s also sells HVAC parts to the public.  We pride ourselves in following policy, being upfront and honest with our customers. ...

Hendel’s has a large sign stating, “Our employee’s do not offer any advice or instruction on how to replace parts.”  And “ABSOLUTELY NO RETURNS or REFUNDS on electrical parts”  Additionally, “ ABSOLUTLEY NO RETURNS or REFUNDS on electrical parts” is printed on each receipt.  All customers are also verbally informed of our policy.   Hendel's certified technicians are in the field performing repairs on existing equipment or installing new HVAC units.  Employees in our parts department are unable to see the customer’s HVAC equipment, diagnosing a problem or ensuring a proper fit of a part from our parts department simply can’t be done.  If you can imagine all the different manufacturers of HVAC units coupled not knowing what a prior technician may have modified on the unit, it is simply impossible to advise a customer about a repair without seeing the system.  We have certified technicians that are available for service calls.  Once an electrical part is taken out of the building we cannot use it, resell it, or return it to our supplier. For the purpose of this response, I pulled the specs for the unit he provided after he purchased the motor and found the motor he purchased from Hendel’s and the OEM motor that came with his unit have the same specs and 48 frame.   Tell us why here...
