This company has NO NUMBER on their website!!

Why did I have to come here to find their number?

They are also stealing money from us. They deposit $100 and withdraw $300 to $500.
They have refunded twice so far.

But this has happened without my knowledge many times. I will literally have to go all the way back and request refunds.

I sent a cease and desist email. If they do not cancel, I will get my bank involved and file a Revdex.com complaint.

Hi, Shanna,

We are sorry to hear about your frustrations. We strive to create positive experiences for all of our community members. We would love to help you with your concern, so fee free to contact support for assistance. Unfortunately, we do not have a phone number for support at this time since we are still a smaller company, and it is more effective and timely for us to respond via support emails. Keep in mind that can only have direct contact with the account holder for security reasons, so please provide us your account email when you send us a support message.

Thank you!

She needs a promotion. I think it's amazing that you have reps through chat who can actually resolve issues immediately. She took care of me as if I was a friend. She clearly cares. Thank you!

Thank you for sharing your experience with our Community Advocate! We appreciate all the hard work they do to keep our community up and running

The online customer service representative fixed and updated my account and was very nice and professional and very communicative as she was doing so!!" I have used this app multiple times, and they have always come through as scheduled. They have really helped me out until payday multiple times when things come up as a single hard working momma. Best app out there for payday loans. Love my Earnin App!!

Earnin Response • Sep 20, 2019

Thank you for sharing your experience. Your situation is a perfect example of why Earnin is here. The traditional pay cycle is busted, and our community has seen that. Thank you for joining the movement.

Adonis answered my question and took care of exactly what I needed! I'm sure he was smiling through the chat !

Great to hear! Thank you for sharing

Earnin Response • Sep 20, 2019

Thank you for your patience through this process

Earnin has debited early resulting in overdraft fees
For the second time Earnin debited money a day early, the first time Earnin actually didn't resolve the issue because in the 7 day response time my bank has, this time the OD was larger and it's not my banks responsibility to fix it since it's their charge a day early

Desired Outcome

Refund of the overdraft immediately

Earnin Response • Jul 09, 2019

thank you for having reached out to Earnin. We appreciate your support within the Earnin Community! At this time it does appear that the credit was made to your account for the erroneous debits that were posted resulting in overdraft fees. We have also updated your payroll so that when the holidays do arrive, we're not debiting earlier, we'll debit the day after you're set to be paid by your employer. We sincerely apologize for this error and hope that this does correct the concern. Thank you once more for your support of Earnin and we appreciate you!

Customer Response • Jul 10, 2019

The complaint has been resolved with Earnin

I was debited the amount agreed from my account. This occurred on 7/4/2019, a national holiday, I didn't get paid that day, so it withdrew me to -$513
So it was resolved on the whole pay date side of things after discussing my issue with reps. However, I was assured that my bank would automatically reverse the debits due to them putting me in the negative and charging me 4 separate overdraft fees. I continued to explain to them that it can't be reversed because the charges have already been posted to my account, to which they continued to tell me I was wrong. Here it is 7/5/2019. And my pay check goes through, and I have zero money, and the debits were not reversed. They asked for screenshots and told me that there was nothing that could be done to reverse it. I told you guys that yesterday. So I was then told I would be referred to a specialist by email, here it is 6 hours later and still no response. I've contacted them multiple times with the same answers, that I would have to wait on a specialist, and that my bank should have reversed it. I'm beyond upset, and absolutely disappointed.

Desired Outcome

I just want my money back. I have absolutely no way to pay my bills or get food for my family. It wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't getting the run around about my issue, even after being a loyal customer for almost a year and a half. I just want my money.

This is a get money before payday app, they wait till you get paid to take it back. I've used this service before without issue until today when they debited my account for $40 before my payday. this left me with a negative balance. I chatted with them online describing my situation. they told me that basically because of the holidays they decided they would send their info in early, they're not supposed to do this. they are supposed to wait till Friday as per when I get paid. I had a very long conversation with them for them to basically tell me that they know they've inconvenienced me but are unwilling to do anything to correct the issue. then they say I need to call my bank and go over the issue with them. why? it's not my banks fault and it's the 4th of july. they won't be open anyway. earnin knows that. plus my bank wouldn't have the info to debit money if earnin didn't send it to them. they did not want to resolve my complaint.

Desired Outcome

Billing Adjustment they need a better resolution other than dismissing their customers. they need to correct their mistakes instead of leaving their customers with no resolution. i should get a free credit based on my time being wasted on something thats their fault. they need to pay me this time.

Earnin Response • Jul 09, 2019

thank you for reaching out to Earnin Support. After having reviewed your concern, I went ahead and made a credit to your account for the $40 plus overdraft fees. Additionally, an update to your payroll was necessary so that it is now set as "Pays every week on Friday. Holidays pay the day after." (previously was set to have Holidays pay the day before." This should ensure that we do not debit you before a holiday when your payroll is not set up for that. I do apologize for the inconvenience and hope that this does not discourage your desire to remain a part of the Earnin Community. Please reach out if you require any further assistance or information. Thank you for your support and have a great week!

This app is very glitchy I had to get my issues fix countless times resulting in losing all my earnings.earnin you need to get you stuff together.I want to have these issues fix and have about 300 of what you took from me for the past three weeks back cause of all these issues and bugs.

Earnin Response • Jul 12, 2019

Dylan, thank you for your feedback. We have reviewed your account at this time and it appears that you're good to go. I do see from your previous support history that there were some issues surrounding calculating your earnings. We have your employer address updated, the range surrounding your place of employment updated (for better accuracy in tracking earnings) and understand that you've submitted some digital timesheets to fill in the blanks. It appears as though the usage of AutoMagic Earnings is now calculating correctly and we have updated earnings for you this week. We definitely appreciate your support of the Earnin community, and hope that you have a wonderful weekend.

The company inaccurately debited my account. After emailing as well as chatting with agents, no explanation or resolution has been provided.
At the beginning of June, I alerted Earnin my paydates would change. The initial agent accurately changed my dates in the system so my account was debited correctly.

The second half of the month, Earnin's system reverted back to the old pay dates causing payments at an earlier date. Earnin agreed to pay overdraft fees which they did.

Now in July, Earnin debited my account but I didn't request a deposit nor did I receive a deposit.

When initially bringing the error to a rep's attention, he told me the debit was for the deposit on 6/26, which was Earnin's payment for my overdraft fee.

Afterwards, I haven't received any follow-up from agents via email regarding the refund for a mistakened debit.

Earnin reps are continuously sending requests for paystubs which I've provided all of June. At this point, I feel Earnin misplaces documents due to the redundant screenshot requests, provides poor account investigation, poor customer service, and employs uneducated or ill-trained representatives. In addition to being patient with reps over the past 2 days, I even provided an itemized deduction and deposit screenshot to assist an agent realize my account was inaccurately debited just to speed up the process.

Desired Outcome

To acknowledge their system's mistake, to apologize for the inefficiency of account investigation, and to refund my money. I think the concept of the business is very helpful and useful. I've been a advocate for the company and referred friends. The company needs to do a better job of tracking/maintaining customer documents and correspondences to decrease time spent on issues. Also, if an issue takes longer than 2 days to resolve, the company needs to reach out to customers via phone or general email that they're still investigating the issue. I'd be happy to assist the company on improving customer service.

Earnin Response • Jul 04, 2019

Hello, We do apologize for any inconvenience this matter has caused the user. I have applied the credit of $102.00 back to the account. Again, we apologize immensely for the inconvenience.

Took funds a day early leaving a negative bank balance and overdraft fees. Would not rectify.
I have been using Earnin for some time now and have been very happy with it until recently. They took the money out a day before my normal payday because of a holiday falling on my normal payday leaving my account in a negative balance and also acquiring overdraft fees. Had these credits not been taken out my account would have still been in a positive balance until I got paid. When speaking wit customer service they admitted it was a mistake taking the money out a day early instead of payday or even the following day (because of the holiday. Simple mistake not a problem but when I asked them to put the money back in to bring my account back to positive (I wanted to transfer 20.00 from my savings to my checking to pay for some groceries) I was told that it could not be done because the transaction already happened and the only thing they could do was update my pay schedule for next time. This could have been an easy fix but instead I was forced to pay for their mistake. I was also told that I could borrow more money from them to use to bring my account current but because it was negative more than $100 the app will not allow the transaction. To reiterate I was more than $100 because of them to begin with

Desired Outcome

I borrows the money so there is no dispute there and by the time there will be any resolution (if there is any) my bank account will have received my pay. I would however like the $38.00 I will have paid in overdraft fees back as well as for people to know not to use this app as they could have easily fixed this simple mistake but refused, leaving me to clean up the mess

Earnin Response • Jul 19, 2019

We have provided a refund of the associated overdraft fees and corrected the error that caused this community member to be overdrafted initially.

Thank you and have a wonderful weekend.

The Earnin App Company breached their contract by taking unauthorized withdraws out of my account.
Please note that none of the reasons of overdrafts listed on the pattern of complaints does not effect my case. I have proof of each amount I was loaned by the Earnin Company was paid in full the second my paycheck was deposited. Here is the list of my entire banking history with this company:

I want to file charges for theft against this company, and I want my money back!

Desired Outcome

Due to evidence that can be accepted in the court of law, pictures of my bank statements showing the money was taken out of my account, and a statement from my bank that the charges were successfully taken out of my account without authorization, the Earnin App or Active Hours company, rightfully owes me $338.00.

Earnin Response • Jul 01, 2019

Hi ***,

Thank you for contacting us. I am very sorry to hear about the experience you encountered with Earnin. After further research I was able to see how our debits may seem like unauthorized charges. Below is a brief explanation of the amounts we debited and what they exactly were for.

4/19/2019 - Earnin Debit of $96 ($92 cashout and $4.00 tip on 4/14/19)
5/*** - Earnin Debit of $39.50 ($22 cashout and $3.00 tip on 4/29/19 and $13.00 cashout and $1.50 tip on 5/01/19)
5/03/2019 - Earnin Debit of $73 ($65 cashout and $8.00 tip on 4/30/19)
5/17/2019 - Earnin Debit of $109 ($100 cashout and $9.00 tip on 5/05/2019)

Some of our attempted debits for your cashout requests on 5/20/2019 - 5/22/2019 were returned to us by your Bank.

We would love to work with you on getting this resolved. Please contact our Support Team for more information.

Customer Response • Jul 02, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I don't know how else to put it with you guys, so let me explain it to you for the 100th time. As my bank explained to me, when you take money from someone's account, it deducts from the total amount of funds you have in your bank account; Which means a successful transaction has been made. Not to mention the bank statement that physically shows those transactions that your company has made, all the transactions were successful. Therefore, this imaginary debt that you speak of is completely utter ***. I owe you nothing, there are no debts of any kind that I needed to take care of. Speaking of debts, you guys still owe me $116.00.
The petty refund of $200.00 is a huge slap in the face to me, because your lousy refund is nowhere near the amount of money I had to pay towards late fees for my phone bill and not to mention an extra $250.00 late fee I had to pay with rent. I don't think you realize where I am from, but I am from Panama City, FL. I am one of the thousands of victims of Hurricane *** and I am still busting my *** to recover from that horrific experience. Here I am hoping that I could rely on a sincere and honest company that will assist me through my hardship, but boy what I wrong. While you and the rest of the thieves that run your company is sitting around in a circle throwing darts at who will be the next victim of fraud, I am still trying to recover from your mistakes.
So until you refund me the money that YOU HAVE STOLEN FROM ME, I will do whatever it takes to make sure that this does not happen again to anyone else.

Earnin Response • Aug 29, 2019

We do apologize for the experience and it appears that your Earnin account was placed in a revoked status (as of 7/7/19) which will ensure that you are not further debited from Earnin. Should you choose to continue using Earnin, you can reach back out to our support team at any time to reactivate your account.

Customer Response • Jul 09, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Look, You can clearly see it on my bank statements. I already had a statement from my bank that every transaction that was made from you guys was successful, so I don't know what else to tell you. I trust my bank way more than you guys so I owe you guys absolutely nothing from here on out. I am happy that you had some decency by return some of the money you guys stole. I really want nothing to do with you guys ever again.

I have been using Earnin for some time now and I am completely disgusted by them and there customer service! I am a Teacher and of course during holidays and summer break we are obviously off. However we are still paid. Per contact pay is spread across a 12 month period so we are paid every single month for hitch I have verified on more than one occasion. Ive a few times before had an incident of my account not being updated and me not being able to cash out when I needed it due to me not being physically at work. In the past I was able to get with someone and have the issue resolved. Although still not in a timely fashion. I contacted them today because the last time it happened I was told by one of their representative that once it was to happen again, bring out for another break, to contact and send a paycheck stub verifying that I'm still being paid. Before I contacted them I already did so via email. When I spoke with several representatives and unqualified supervisors I was given the run around and treated as if this was something that wasn't able to be resolved they kept insisting that I send a an electronic time sheet to them which is something I've never had to do due to the fact that I'm salary not hourly employee! The service I received was reprehensible and I have never been so poorly assisted! I have All email correspondence proving that the issue has been rectified in the past as well as screenshots of my entire conversation via chat today which I will be printing up and writing a very detailed message and sending to their corporate offices. I also have had my account overdraft prior to when it was supposed to resulting in over 130$ in overdraft fees. Which was a nightmare to have resolved. Honestly once I address this situation I will no longer be using the app or their services in general. I will continue to write bad reviews on any platform I openly can do so and will have several others do so as well. Also the fact that they don't want to be contacted and give the run around after being asked several times for their corporate information is ridiculous. If I was able to I would take stars vs giving them a one! Horrible company!!

Earnin Response • Jun 27, 2019

Thank you for being an Earnin customer. I understand that you are a teacher and it is summer break.
Therefore you are not actively going to work, and that you are still being paid because you are a salary,
We support salaried employees, but one of those requirements is that we are able to use GPS data to indicate that you have reported to work We do not accept a pay-stub, as it represents hours you have already been paid,
This is the reason why we can not provide you services until you report back to work.

This is very unfortunate. We are always trying to improve and find solutions to your situation and many others that happen to our members.
These are a high priority to us. In fact, one of these we just implemented and that was for people in the military.

I am very sorry we can not provide services to you for this brief period of time that you are not reporting to work.

In order to contact our corporate offices, you can use this form.
It is located on our website.
https://earnin.com/contact

This app is useless if you don't punch a clock, work Mon-Fri and decide to download the app on a Friday. If this is the case and Saturday comes, and you're wondering why you don't have earnings, they're going to basically say "but you didn't go to work..." BUT I DID...ALL WEEK. Very frustrating.

Earnin Response • Oct 20, 2019

Hi there. We apologize that the app was not what you were expecting. Earnin values your information and privacy, and for this reason, it can take anywhere from 2-3 business days to get everything set up in your account. Because we connect with your bank, it can also take a couple of days for us to connect successfully, especially on weekends and holidays. Thank you for reaching out and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

While I've never used Activehours (now "Earnin'"), I've been encouraged to use them from my employer Sears/Kmart. If they are taking ANY money out of people's account, they should be closed down. They are NOT supposed to be a "pay day" lender, they are supposed to be a FREE way to get our paycheck TODAY instead of waiting days or weeks til payday. Yes, we are asked to tip if we feel like it, but Earnin should NEVER be taking ANY money out of our accounts or paychecks for interest or fees.

Earnin Response • Jun 20, 2019

We do apologize for the confusion we are not a pay day lender. We're community-supported, so we don't charge interest or fees. We believe money should work better for everyone.

Instead of charging fees or interest, we depend on our community to support us by tipping what they think is fair when they use the app.

Giving tips isn't required. Sometimes things are going your way and you can afford to tip, sometimes you're the one going through a rough patch. Help when you can, accept help when you can't. We've got each other's back.

I agree with everyone else. I loved this app. It help me tremendously with me bills. But all of a sudden my bank account info would not link correctly. It stated that I had a negative balance which was not true. I have been chatting with people for three days to resolve with sending screen shots of all sorts. I have been guaranteed that techical support would get back with me. I really needed this app and depended on it to pay my bills but now I am totally in a hard place. From what I was reading they changed companies that deal with the bank stuff. Maybe for their good but not for there customers. I dont know what is going on but it is really bad business.

Earnin Response • Jun 20, 2019

We do apologize for the inconvenience this matter has caused Ayesha. I do see the customer was able to initiate a cash out. The dates or 6/17, 6/18 6/19 all in the amount of $100.00. As well as being able to successfully connect to her bank.

Thanks!
