Review: I put a deposit on a truck in July 2012, the truck was taken by truck and suv superstore to nissan of ElCajon for a pre purchase inspection and picked up by truck and SUV superstore. Truck and SUV superstore agreed to fix all of the repairs identified by nissan prior to selling the truck. The truck was taken to their repair shop and we were contacted approximately a week later that all of the repairs were complete and a went in to pick up the truck and purchased a warranty on the truck. With in 2 weeks the truck steering brook and they repaired it at their repair shop called Trick Trucks in El Cajon and charged me 200.00 as the deductible for the insurance claim. The same issue happened again with additional repairs to rack n pinion steering 30 days later where I paid a deductible again. We asked for reimbursement but we were denied. I then took the truck in a tried time for the same problem a month later with another 200 deductible. I took the truck in a 4th time for transmission overheating and they turned off the sensor light and said to come back if it comes on again. The sensor came on again and this time they said the drive shaft was to short and caused the catalac converters to go bad and the seals and damaged the transfer case. They denied to do the repairs until I told them that this was all to have been fixed months ago before I purchased the truck. They repaird the drive shaft for another 200.00 deductible but would not do anything else. The truck still overheats and is having the same problems. I have found out that the warranty they sold is fraudulent because it does not cover trucks that are lifted which is the way it was when they sold it. Truck and SUV superstore failure to comply with the written and verbal agreement to complete the needed repairs identified and communicated in writing from the prelude use inspection.Desired Settlement: I want a refund of all monies paid for repairs 950.00 A reversal of the truck contract. Truck and suv superstore to buy back the truck for the purchase price to pay off the trick loan. A reimbursement for the trade in from the purchase of 3500.00. Reimbursement of 1500.00 for the sound system I installed and 1800.00 for the tires I installed. 2200 for the cost of the extended warranty. A cash total 9950.00 and a payoff of the truck loan in which I will return the truck to Truck and SUV super store and transfer ownership.

RE: [redacted] (Nissan Titan)

Thank you for contacting the East County PreOwned Superstore with regards to how we can resolve this issue? This dealership sells between 150 – 200 vehicles a month and has been in business for almost 30 years. There have been many times when a customer will want us to complete a repair, lift or other optional service to a vehicle prior to delivery. In each instance there will be supporting documentation in the form of a custom statement of facts and/or a Due Bill. We do this to protect both the customer and the dealership from the “he said/she said” mentality. After researching all of the paperwork on this particular transaction I have found that there was a pre-purchase in section report from the Nissan Dealership. I also noted that after the inspection an aftermarket vehicle warranty was purchased and a new sales contract was issued. The Due Bill is clearly written “Vehicle to be sold AS-IS and as equipped with no further promises made”. There is also no other information about anything is regards to the East County PreOwned Superstore performing any additional work on this vehicle per the request of the consumer.

In your letter you state that the warranty company is “fraudulent” and does not cover lifted trucks. That statement itself is a pure falsity. The warranty company that has been selected by the East County PreOwned Superstore is well aware that we sell “lifted/altered” vehicle as the majority of our trucks and SUVs have always been lifted. For our dealership to do business with a warranty company that does not cover the vehicle due to that one simple fact would mean that they would not be doing business with us at all.

The problems that you refer to ie: drive shaft not long enough, were clearly stated on the pre-inspection report and as stated by you in your letter, using the $200.00 deductible, you had the warranty company replace the drive shaft.

The East County PreOwned Superstore is customer service driven and we pride ourselves by helping our customers. If you wish to see how we best may be able to assist you, please feel free to contact me via my cell phone or by email.

Thank you

Review: I purchased a 2007 ** Beetle (36,474 miles) 2-11-2012 from TRUCK & SUV SUPERSTORE. At the same time the dealership sold me an extended warranty Policy from [redacted] (aka [redacted]) . My car stopped in traffic June 28, 2013, and had it not been for the shoulder on the freeway I would have been killed. I had it towed to Ontario ** Dealership here in California. An agent ([redacted]) from Superior Auto Care denied the claim on the basis that he could not duplicate the problem in his very brief test drive. I was told by the ** dealership that he was rudely obnoxious and did not want to see the documentation from the ** Factory verifying that the transmission needs to be replaced. I called [redacted] at ###-###-#### and talked to [redacted] (different [redacted], same company) when I questioned him about the very brief test drive, I was told they don't have time to drive it longer and yelled at me about the incompetency of the ** Dealership not having documentation on the fault (which was a false statement) When I asked him his last name..I could tell he was still there but he stayed silent until I was forced to hang up. I called right back and was able to locate Jim Smith's (the president) in their automated voice system. He did not answer his line, so I left a message on his voice mail requesting a call back asap. It has now been over three weeks and I have not received a call back and my car has been sitting at the ** deadership for well over a month. I tried to contact Truck & SUV Dealership and kept getting disconnected. I am having a hard time digesting that I paid $1999. for a extended warranty policy that is absolutely worthless and am frustrated beyond belief because It appears that I have been ripped off of my original $2000 cost of the policy and am facing additional $5500 out of pocket expenses to replace my transmission, as well as the costly expense of not being able to use my car. BOTTOM LINE....I cannot drive this car as it is and I cannot afford to fix it.Desired Settlement: Truck and SUV sold me a defective service. I want them to pay the $5500 cost to replace my transmission; they need to honor the product they sold m or make the insurance company do their job. I feel this is warranted because had they sold me a legitimate warranty I would not have had to go through this hassel and the replacement of my transmission would have been seamless . This whole ordeal has been an ongoing nightmare.

FYI, I have also recently filed a complaint with Revdex.com SW against [redacted] aka Superior Auto Care.

RE: [redacted] (2007 VW New Beetle)

Thank you for your letter and question about this issue. In your letter you stated that you had not

yet been able to contact the East County PreOwned Superstore in regards to you current situation.

In the future, to help the process and to make things much easier, please feel free to call or email

and I wil1 be happy to help you to the best of my abilities. I have spoken with the representative

from the warranty company. What information I had received from him was that when they went

out to inspect the vehicle, as you said, they were unable to reproduce the problem that you stated.

This would make it hard to fix as they would have no idea what was to be fixed. As for a VW

Dealership telling you that a 3'd party had an attitude, first off that is both unprofessional and shows

that they might not have been very honest in the reports for you about what is wrong, if anything,

with your vehicle. The insurance company has informed '!le that if you can have an official certified

technicians report stating what the actual problem is then to have you resubmit the claim. Having

dealt with this company for many years, I can assure you that I have never had one of the warranty

companies' insurance representative "give attitude" to any of our clients. It would only cause

unnecessary aggravation and would lead to our two companies no longer working together as we

are very customer service oriented. I do hope that this information. can help you.

Again please feel free to contact me anytime at [redacted] or you can email me at

[redacted].com (I-have also~attached· a copy of the res ponce given by the warranty-company)

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Regards,

Review: We canceled two policies through them totaling a $3,000 refund. They've, instead, canceled all their checks and taken the money back twice, refusing to refund it. They also told me my trade-in car wasn't worth anything, bullied me into forging the co-owners signature, all so I could sell it to them under the table for $3000 less than what it was worth.Desired Settlement: We would like the obvious $3000 refund they've owed us since canceling the two policies and the amount of the real trade-in value of my old car.

Business

Response:

I have looked into this deal to find out what the claims are. First to address the $3,000.00 refund to the bank. The customer canceled the Gap Insurance ($500.00) and the Extended Service Contract ($2,500.00), totaling $3,000.00. the check was written and sent to the bank ([redacted]) and after 30 days they had not cashed the check. The dealership placed a stop payment on that check and reissued a replacement the same day. The day after the bank cashed the check which was already stopped so obviously the check did not go through. The second check has not yet been cashed. Either way this will shortly be resolved as we also bank with Wells Fargo bank. The second issue is more difficult. The claim of paying less for a trade vehicle. I had to pull the original paperwork to verify the claim of low payment value of a trade-in vehicle. There was no trade vehicle on the 4-square paperwork at all. (this is the document used by all dealers to work vehicle deals with the customers) If there was a trade vehicle, it would have shown up here as we would have listed its value on the 4-square and if the customer was not happy with the value listed then they would have removed the trade from the transaction. I can not verify any preexistence to there ever being a vehicle offered to be traded in. I hope this was able to clear up any misunderstandings about this transaction. If there are further questions, please feel free to contact me directly at [redacted] (General Manager East County PreOwned Superstore)

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Having the money refunded would resolve things, but I have no faith that it will get done if I accept the offer. The payment that they claim to be sending is still MIA. This will be the 4th time that these people will have "lost" our check. On the second matter regarding the trade-in car I'm going to go ahead and assume that, since it was all but stolen under the table, there probably wouldn't be a paper trail with the fake offer. [redacted] told us the dealership would only offer us $500 for our '07 Ford Focus & that we would be better off selling to him personally for $1000. He wrote us a check for $800 because he 'cut us such a deal'. It was later learned that my car would have been worth $3000 at any real business.

Business

Response:

Thank you for your response as it may she'd more light on our situation here. First off let me reiterate that the bank (if not already) will receive the full refund for the cancellation of the GAP and extended service contract. On the second and more pressing issue, purchasing your trade outside of the deal, can you please send me a copy of that check that was written to you by [redacted]? Please send it to my email [redacted] or fax it to my personal fax [redacted]. We do not tolerate this behavior at all and if we can verify that this is the case via the check written to yu our the purchase of you ford focus, then [redacted] will be terminated and his sales license will be suspended. Thank you for your response and I look forward to getting that check copy.

Attending the giant used car tent sale last month and walked out with what we thought was our car. The car was shown to us with a sticker that read not for sale fresh trade in. The deal was finalized on a Sunday and we were told that the vehicle needed to pass the smog before they can deliver it to us on Tuesday. We signed all the documents and paid our down payment. Walked out and waiting for the phone on Tuesday. Tuesday came and went and nothing. We contacted them on Wednesday and said that the vehicle did not pass the smog test, I immediately when to the car dealership and they told me they couldn't fix or sale it to me, that it was actually going to go back to the auction. So I got my down payment back and that was that. Fast forward to today when I went into my bank to get a car loan and they advised me that they cannot give me a loan because I still had one open for "that" vehicle we never got. I drive to dealership to clear it out and as I drive in there was the vehicle that we originally purchased smog and safety checked ok. I walked in and it took them 45 min to come back and offer me a deal that wasn't even a legitimate deal or fair enough for all the trouble we have been through and having our credit targeted. I asked them to give me the loan money or close out the loan. They ended up closing the loan and we still walked out with nothing. This must be some sort of fraud wherein they can keep your loan open for so long after the deal did not go through? What kind of business are they running??

Review: I had sent in a request regarding a car to the above mentioned store. [redacted] e-mailed and called my cell twice. I called him back and he said to come in and they would give us a good deal on the Black 2005 Hyundai Tucson I was interested in. My husband and I went there within 30 minutes. We filled out the paperwork for said car. It took over 1 hour and he was still checking on the financing. I finally said let us see the car. He said he would get the keys. We went outside and he asked how we like it - it being a silver Ford SUV. I said that was not the car. Why was he showing us this car. It was also 2,000 more than the car we came in for. He said he just found out it had been sold. I told him he was a liar and I wanted all of the paperwork we filled out. He went to his boss to get the paperwork and I told his boss this was bait and switch and this was illegal. That they were crooks.Desired Settlement: They should be shut down. This is not how business is done.

Response:

[redacted] had called about one of the many vehicles that are for sale here on the lot at the East County PreOwned Superstore. When she spoke with Jeff (Salesman) she let him know that they had challenged credit and it would be difficult but wanted to see what could be done for them. Once the manager had ran her credit, they were indeed what is called "Challenged credit" so it was going to be difficult to secure a vehicle loan for her. This dealership sells between 160 and 200 vehicles per month and the salesman have to go and touch the vehicle to verify that the vehicle is still on the lot for sale. Our inventory management system is tied directly to our advertising and once the vehicle sells, it is automatically removed from the feed that supply's all of our online advertising sources. If she had asked to see the vehicle before filling out any of the paperwork, then she would have known at that time that the vehicle that she saw online was no longer available. It is common for car dealerships to have a customer come in and say they have bad or less than clean credit and want to see what they qualify for.

As far as the customer saying she wanted all of her paperwork back, once credit has been ran by a dealership, In California per DMV Regulations, they must keep the customers information on file for 5 years thereafter it would then be shredded per the consumer privacy act.

If you have any further questions please feel contact me via [email protected] or you can call the dealership at 619-588-7702

Thank you

Review: When we made the deal a guy named [redacted] offered me the car at $1,000 off the price and I traded in two cars. But when I receive the financing papers in the mail that $1,000 was not subtracted from the price. They've been nothing but rude to me the guy has been hiding from me tried seven times to get ahold of him. They're calling me because they messed up on their paperwork with my trade ins and they want me to bring the originals to them but yet they won't help me by giving me the deal they offered me. I was supposed to have the first month with no payment and that didn't happen. They also told me the car was a six cylinder but it wasn't. I had just went there to look after SUVs and ended up buying a car I hadn't even test drove yet they used a high pressure sales technique on me and buffaloed me the whole way. And I ended up not getting the deal we agreed on. And they refused to talk to me about it with [redacted] the man who I made the deal with.Desired Settlement: I would like them to do as promised, $1000 off the red tag price of $14,000 & deduct the amount they wrote on the bills of sale for my trade ins & $250.00 cash I gave them all straightened out. or I want my two trade ins back and my deposit of $250 & they can have their car back.

Response:

We always try to work with each customer in the best way possible. I remember this deal very clearly, so I will be able to give many details to respond properly. The day this customer came in she was looking around and she took an extended test drive with the salesman in such a way, we had to call him to make sure he was still with her. I looked into the deal to verify the discount she mentioned. I do see that the internet listed and advertised price was $1000.00 more than what she paid on her contract. After this deal was made, a week later the customer came back to the office complaining that the breaks were all bad. Wanting to verify this potential safety problem, we took the vehicle back to service to have it inspected. The breaks were not only good, they were new. So then she said that she only wanted a 6 cylinder SUV vehicle. We tried to assist her with her request but all three vehicles she test drove were four cylinders and 2 of them were cars, just like the one she purchased. The two trades she used as down payment were recently purchased from a public auction. This is where our "paperwork" problem exist. The finance person kept the copies and accidentally gave the originals to the customer. Not only did we give the customer what she wanted for the trade vehicles, we gave her more then she had just paid for them at this public auction. If she can bring in cash for the amounts listed for both trade vehicle, we would be more than happy to allow her to buy them both back for what we gave her. We have been in contact with her about the paperwork mistake and have offered to go to where she is located to make this easy. Now she refuses our phone calls.

Review: I purchased a car from a tent sale, when I was told that my employment could not be verified, although the paperwork was submitted, I was asked to return the car, which I did, (note: the dealership called my boss to tell him to tell me I needed to return the car-very unprofessional considering I was in contact with the dealership myself and arranged to drop the car off already and when I showed up to return the car they told me I could then keep it, I decided to return the car anyway because I thought they were unprofessional). I was told that I had to come back to pick up my deposit because the person who signed the checks was out. I called back the same evening to make sure the check was ready and was told that the check signer slipped in and out without signing it. The next day (yesterday, 11/06) I left multiple messages and did not get a return call. Today (11/07) I called and was transferred back and forth to several people all claiming they had no idea what was going on with my account and that all of the sales managers, accounting managers and the owner are all out of the office. I asked to speak to the person in charge of the dealership as well and was told that it was a corporation and nobody was in charge, nobody there has a boss and they make up their own rules as they go along. The finance manager wrote a personal note on my acknowledgement of rescinded (cancelled) retail sales contract that my down payment of $1500.00 was to be refunded to me on 11/05/2013 with his signature. Not having the money is holding me up on purchasing another vehicle. I have 3 small children that I need to transport and I myself work so this is a huge inconvenience. Everyone there that I have spoken with has been very rude and again very unprofessional.Desired Settlement: I gave the dealership $1500 is cash and I want the same in return today.

Review: We purchased a vehicle from this dealership. While signing the papers for the purchase, many things were presented. we were very concerned about the price of the vehicle and were on a very tight budget, and this was made VERY clear to them before and during the purchase process. this particular vehicle, 2008 Jetta.. was just over our budget. Long story short... they included a thief detection for $875, registration was miss calculated, GAP insurance was included at an inflated price... none of this was brought to our attention even though they knew we were over budget. these items are listed as optional on the contract but none were presented to us as optional, front loaded the contract, they even acknowledged this. It seems they had done this with all customers, may probably are unaware of these charges. When this was explained to them shortly after signing, they would not return phone calls, passed us from one person to anther, each saying that they did not know what to do. we drove to the dealership and the finance person would not even draw up the papers and refused to help us and us come back the next day. I got on line and looked at the reviews of the dealership (which I whish I had done prior to the purchase, my bad) here are few..... Worst dealership ever! THIS PEOPLE ARE A JOKE!!!!!!! This place sucks. I will never buy from them again. This place is the worst dealership in town!!! thank you for your timeDesired Settlement: Would like a refund for the thief detection device , the can remove it, deactivate it what ever they want. we do want it and never wanted it have their policy reviewed to make sure NOBODY else was charged for this item if they did not want it on their vehicle.

In response to this Revdex.com complaint,

The [redacted] came to the

QUALCOMM Stadium tent sales event to help purchase a vehicle for the

family. After negotiating the price down well below the recently lowered

red-tag price, the [redacted] were introduced to [redacted] in finance to

complete the transaction. The next day the mother (who is not on the

deal and per California DMV Law and the privacy laws, we are not allowed

to talk about a transaction with people not listed on the contract).

She was informed that we could go over her requested changes on Monday

after the sales event and in a less noisy environment. Ignoring the

recommendation, she then showed up at he sales event and was informed

that we were not able to assist her that day as she could tell, there

were about 4-6 customers per manager and everyone was busy. Again she

was informed that Monday would be the necessary time to review the file

with her. The dealership began getting repeated phone calls from both

her and her husband demanding that changes be made. The problems listed

were the opted in GAP coverage at $495.00 (retail and normal price of

$850.00) and the IdentifierPlus program (Theft Deterrent) at $895.00.

GAP coverage is able to be cancelled, all the customer has to do is

write a letter and asking it asking for the coverage to be removed. The

Identifier Plus coverage is a theft deterrent item that is on the sales

contract, on a separate form called "Optional Good and Services" and the

actual Identifier Plus Program page. So there were 3 separate forms

that singed by them letting them know what was being purchased. To say

they were uninformed would be a very false statement. Even though they

had perhased the Identifier Plus system, the East County PreOwned

Superstore allowed the customers to reduce the sales price of the

Identifier Plus down to $376.00 as a customer service. You will see the

attached document (scanned in gift card) that was given to [redacted], the

finance manager, not a sales person after this new change to the

contract was performed. After all of these changes, we received a

complaint through the Revdex.com system. No matter what you do for some

customers, they will never be satisfied.

We have done all that we are

able to with this customer and the East County PreOwned Superstore

wishes them the best wherever they may go in the future.

Thank You

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Hello ---- this is a response to the dealerships response to case #[redacted]

In response to the super store letter, it seems they have just tried to defend themselves. The attitude displayed in this letter it the attitude of the dealership towards its customer… [redacted] did not represent himself as a customer oriented individual… they got their money and do not care about the customer after the paper and check is signed… good luck. This is not the type of business we should have in our community and buyers should ALL be warmed of their devious practices… this business is not recognized as a part of the Revdex.com, may because of their practices.

1. The Theft detection systems was presented as a write-off for your insurance. It was NOT presented as

a. an option item (which it was but we were NOT allows to choose)

b. there was a cost associated with this theft system.

2. This car was being sold to a [redacted], car. An $800 charge was important for a person making $8.00/hr that is a year of payments just for theft detections. We would NOT have purchased this if it were known at the time of sale

3. The statement said to [redacted] was “ how can you sleep at night” referring to slipping this sale in without clarifying what it was exactly.

a. Please note [redacted] YELLED at us as we left the building “ hope you AND SLEEP TONIGHT”

Also notice that my wife felt sorry she said that and apologized to [redacted] did not even acknowledge she got the card OR any apology, phone call etc. this business is not recognized as a part of the Revdex.com, may because of their practices.

4. Vehicle Registration was over charged…
