pending my final interview verifying a prior vehicle was no longer in my possession
So I would have had the vehicle and completed the financing had not the vehicle
been stolenThey have not offered me any reasonable explanation for keeping my
money prior to me filing this complaint with the Revdex.comAttached are the text
messages where *** contacted me advising me to lie to the finance company and
threatening meWhen the vehicle was recovered by the *** County Police
Department I notified *** *** and he arranged for the vehicle to be
picked up from my homeI went to Easterns because I needed a vehicleThey
took advantage of this situation and used it as an opportunity to steal my
money!

I purchased used vehicle last year from Eastern Automotive Group in Temple Hills, MD; sales services is greatBut BUYER BEWARE...once you sign on dotted line customer service is horribleAfter purchased luxury vehicle from Eastern Automotive Group; I began to have issues with the vehicle I contacted them regarding the electrical issuesIt was a battle trying to get Eastern Automotive Group to make necessary repairs and to add insult to injury vehicle was sold to me with a bad tire that had slow leakAlso Eastern Motors also forgot to mention there was only one key available; information was not disclosed to me until I completed all necessary paperwork to purchase vehicleI contacted Eastern Automotive Group dealership manager in Temple Hills, MD where I purchase the vehicle; the manager was very arrogant and had a passive aggressive attitude about all the issues I had discovered with luxury vehicle I had just purchased; "stating what do you except when you buy a used vehicle"I was so fed up with disrespectful attitude that I attempted to return the vehicle to Eastern Automotive Group before the days grace period of purchasing vehicleI was met with intimidation by the dealership manager of Eastern Automotive Group and was told I would be on my credit and that I would still be liable for the debtI now that I think about it they have shady documents that they have you sign....for instances GAAP Insurance waiver form; even though I paid for GAAP insurance during my purchaseI contacted the president of Eastern Automotive Group and left several messages with secretary and left voicemail for the president of Eastern Automotive Group; non responsive to my messages that I leftI know now that Eastern Automotive Group practices were unlawfulI just hope potential buyers take heed to this warning and what makes it so bad I didn't even have to go to Eastern Automotive Group to purchase vehicle; I don't have bad credit....that what hurts the mostI hope someone reads this review and decides to open an active investigation on the Eastern Automotive Group loan shark tactics; because I know that I am not the only one that has gone through this

This is exactly why I decided not to purchase a car from Eastern's - they say one thing but then do something entirely different. Had Eastern's been honest and said up front they were going to pull my credit repeatedly, I would never have signed anything like that, if I even signed it to begin with. I will look into hiring an attorney to represent me in this matter. There are laws that protect consumers from shady dealerships like this one, and I am not accepting this response from them *** **

My husband went to Easterns Automotive Group yesterday early afternoon at 7598 Annapolis Road Lanham, MD in DIRE need of a car because our two other cars were on their way out! He called me about 3 hours later, "We've been approved! I need you to come to look at some of the cars." I arrived around 6:45pm (they were supposed to close at 8pm). When I arrived, my husband was outside waiting for me, followed by Mr. Carl M[redacted], a Sales Associate. He was not the usual phony sales man trying to pull the wool over your eyes. My antennas were already up as he approached me; I was waiting to hear the usual "sales talk" which would have been annoying and which would have lead me to "leave". However, much to my surprise and pleasure, Mr. M[redacted] was a GENTLEMAN from beginning to end; first-class demeanor, VERY articulate and helpful in explaining in "lay" terms exactly what was what. He was patient, and transparent with what we were required, answering all of our questions. We were given the liberty to "browse" because the two cars that were brought out for me to look over just did not really "hit" me. I knew nothing about cars, but I knew what I wanted to drive in, and if that car was on their lot, I would see it. Mr. M[redacted] left us to walk throughout the lot................and then I spotted the car: a 2014 Nissan, light cocoa in color. It was what I liked and wanted. After I told my husband, "that's the one", I left it up to him to find out about all the details, hoping that everything would meet his expectations. Let me interject, there was another gentleman who came out - - I was thinking Mr. M[redacted]' supervisor who was EXCELLENT in just giving us a full spill about the car, the cost, everything we needed to know to help us make a decision. He would come to us off and on during our discussions with Mr. M[redacted] and he, too, mirrored the same exact professional demeanor as Mr. M[redacted]. After signing thousands of sheets in the contract : ) we were done, and we pulled off that evening with our Nisson......YAAAAYEEE!! I highly recommend to folks who are looking for a car and need it right away, GO TO EASTERNS AUTOMOTIVE GROUP on Annapolis Road in Lanham, MD, and ask or Mr. CARL M[redacted]. Your business experience there will be fast, detailed, fair, and very satisfactory!!! I am a 77 year old no-nonsense woman who left there with a smile. Thank you Mr. M[redacted]!

Upon purchase, the vehicle met MD Safety Inspection guidelines as well as the approval of Mr. [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] was given an opportunity to fully inspect and drive the unit prior to purchase. Vehicle was deemed acceptable by Mr. [redacted] and the purchase was conducted. There was no mention or promise of new tires as a condition of the sale. The taxes collected on the contract are MD State Sales Tax. Personal Property tax is not collected nor paid by the Dealership. Please see section 6 of the MD Buyers Order attached.

We are in receipt of the complaint filed by [redacted].  Generally speaking, one of the events that would trigger the difference between the advertised price and...

the contract price is when a vehicle is transported from a VA distribution center to a Maryland location.   When a vehicle is transported from one state to another, the dealer has to put this vehicle through that state’s safety inspection. It is possible that there was a time-lag between the time of the sale and tallying up all the costs incurred by the dealer.  That is the reason why we have certain disclaimers online.
With that said, as a good will gesture and in order to ensure customer satisfaction, we will reimburse [redacted] the sum of $502.88.  Thank You

This is the worst dealership. They come off all nice in the beginning but when you have a problem with your car they completely ignore you. I can’t believe they could do that to me even though I've purchased 2 cars from them. Unbelievable!!!!!!

I'm still dealing with this issue while extremely rude salesmen try to make me give my account information because I asked for good customer service so they feel i'm untrust worthy all of sudden when they provided the broken vehicle. No concessions were made,  I love my vehicle however I do deserve good service. Signed,

We have had an opportunity to review the text messages and we found that they corroborate our position.  The manager was requesting for **. [redacted] to complete her bank interview and add the vehicle to her insurance as she agreed to do when purchasing the vehicle.  We did not see any evidence that would support her allegation that the manager requested that she tell a lie or be untruthful in any way.  We would also like to reiterate that if the bank was able to verify the employment information that was presented to us there would not be an issue at all, **. [redacted] would have had her loan secured and her insurance would have handled the claim accordingly.

Thank you for your response and the documentation.  Upon review of the documents I see that the inquiries were not from the dealership, but from potential Lenders (outside banks).  Consent was granted for this by signing the credit application.  Condition #3 of the credit application states "That I authorize the dealership and the Financial Institutions and their affilliates to periodically obtain consumer credit reports on the undersigned, to gather employment history, and to verify any information contained herein as often as they deem necessary and appropriate, for the purpose of extending credit".  Furthermore, condition #4 states "That I understand that this credit application may be submitted to multiple Financial Institutions, as the dealer may deem appropriate".  A copy of this application may be viewed at anytime but the customer at the Manassas location.  I hope that this brings further clarification to our position in this matter.  Thank you

vehicle purchase transaction our customers fill out a credit application
wherein they inform Easterns of their employment and their income among other
things.   By signing the credit
application the customer acknowledges that the answers are true and
accurate.

that she was employed and had certain income. 
After the vehicle was delivered to her, it was determined that at the
time that she made the representation about her employment, **. [redacted] was no
longer employed.  Moreover, **. [redacted]
refused to return the vehicle when asked to do so.  As a result, certain charges for the use of
the vehicle had to be assessed.  **.
[redacted] signed a document agreed to those charges.  Those charges exceeded the down payment that
was made by **. [redacted].  Therefore,
there is no refund due **. [redacted].

I purchased a 2015 Tahoe from Eastern Direct Car Buying, Sterling, VA. This was the worst buying experience in my life. I drove 51/2 hours to purchase this truck, I arrived there at 9:45 in a rental and completed the buyers contact around 11:15 p.m. to get back on the road back to NC to prepare for work that morning. I didn't test drive the truck or look over the truck. Once I arrived home I noticed the truck didn't have a lot of gadgets that I was looking for in this truck and immediately notified Ronnie the salesman. He had the nerve to say to me that I should have looked over the truck that night, it was nothing he could do. I asked about buyers remorse instead of him trying to work something out with me saleman Thompson gets on the phone and tells me that in his inventory he has one with some of the features, however I will have to pay $1,800. These people do not honor their 7 days clause. I informed Thomas, Ronnie and the other saleman that I didn't want this truck because it didn't have any of the features I wanted in a truck especially paying over $500 a month for a car note. No one wanted to work with me instead if I gave them $1,800 more they would help me. They are crooks and I'm going to report them to the Revdex.com. I will make sure that the military is aware of these scammers by posting my experience in the Stars and Stripes magazine. Do not purchase anything from this dealership. I wished I had purchased my truck from a honest, reputable company. My loss
