Easterns Automotive Group Reviews (63)

Review: The vehicle I purchased on Saturday, October 4th has already broken down stating the engine has overheated. I called the Easterns I made the purchase and was given attitudes, told outright no money will be taken off the down payment or monthly and I needed to find a way to get my vehicle to them before 8 o'clock in order to be helped. After much back and forth the "Manger Larry " waited till I arrived with the tow. I was given a loaner, more attitude while being threatened to be kicked out of the store, and advised I was out of luck with getting money off and the spare key to the broken vehicle.Desired Settlement: I need the $750 erased from my down payment, the vehicle fixed and inspected, and an apology from the manager.

I am rejecting this response because: it wasn't resolved at all. I'm still dealing with this issue while extremely rude salesmen try to make me give my account information because I asked for good customer service so they feel i'm untrust worthy all of sudden when they provided the broken vehicle. No concessions were made, I love my vehicle however I do deserve good service.

Response:

Thank You for bringing this response to our attention. We acknowledge that the customer feels she has not received good customer service and we are investing that internaly with the management team and salesman. I have spoken with the General Manager and he is willing to allow the customer to unwind the sale if so desired. It is my understanding that as a goodwill gesture, Easterns has made all of the repairs to the vehicle, in addition, we provided a loaner car as transportation while repairs were being made. We feel we have made sufficient efforts to resolve this matter therefore our position remains. Thank you for your time.

Review: I purchased a 2011 Impala. I was told that my car had been inspected but yet I only had it for one month and the brakes and oil needed to be changed, and washer fluid needed to be added. I was curious about that so I took it back because they offer a 30 day warranty and they did not fix the brakes because they said it did need to be done even though you can hear the brakes squealing.I was told that the washer fluid was added but the car notification says it was not, I told them and they said it had to be reset and I had to do it. I told them I dont know how to do that and they said I had to figure it out. And they dont want to change the oil because they said that if you drove 1,000 miles thats when oil needs to be changed and that is my responsibility. I told them its every 3,000 miles and I have not reached that yet. I was told that I still have to get the work done myself. They did not process my insurance information so I was riding around with no insurance until the loan company called me. The salesman did not return any of the loan company calls. I had to keep going up there and calling the insurance company and the loan company to push the process through so I can keep my car that I am paying for. for any thing to be done. The day before my tags were going to expire I called to see if my tags came in they said no, and then they proceeded to put me on hold and process my MVA information. When she got back on the phone she told me that the there was so problem and I had to go to the MVA. I was also told that they could not supply me with addtional tags I would just have to find a way to pay the MVA and get my tags. And they had nothing to do with that.I just want this to be noted that this place is not professional. Do you have any suggestions on how to handle the poor quality of customer service. My car needs to be fixed.Desired Settlement: I just want my car fixed or they reimburse me for the work I had to pay for.

Review: On Saturday, April 13, 2013 at approximately 11:30 am, I visited the Eastern Motors dealership at [redacted] to look at purchasing a used car. I informed the salesperson, [redacted] that I was interested in trading in my current car, a 2000 Mercedes truck. I took a 2009 Buick Enclave for a test drive with [redacted]. After driving the car a few blocks, I felt there were some issues with the vehicle, specifically there was issues with steering and how the car rode. [redacted] said he didn't feel any problems with how it rode but he would take care of everything. When I returned to the dealership I informed the salesperson that I was not interested in purchasing the Buick. He told me to take it overnight, to drive it some more, and to grow to like it. If I didn't like it I would be able to return it. I signed some paperwork that [redacted] told me that I would be able to take the vehicle overnight. After having the car overnight, I still didn't like it and decided to return it on Sunday, April 14, 2013. I was told by General Manager [redacted] that Eastern does not take cars back on Sundays. He told me to return the vehicle by 10:00am on Monday. On Monday, April 15, 2013 I returned to Eastern to return the car. [redacted] became irate and tried to force me to sign a new contract and refused to return my car. He informed me that I would need $2000 to release the vehicle. I felt I had no other options in order to get home. When I signed the paperwork on April 15, 2013, [redacted] shredded the documents from the original deal on April 13, 2013. After signing the paperwork, they finally returned the keys to my Mercedes and allowed me to leave the dealership. I went directly to [redacted] to notify them of the dispute and to cancel the debit card Eastern Motors took. On April 17, 2013, [redacted] texted my cellphone saying the car will be dropped off at in front of my apartment and the they will leave the keys. On April 18, 2013, I received three text messages that to pick up the car and they will not hold it. On April 22, 2013, I receive a voice message from someone claiming to be from [redacted] threatening to put it on my credit report and pursue the money by any means.Desired Settlement: I am requesting this dispute be removed from my credit report and is settled with [redacted].
