BEWARE OF THEIR INSURANCE CLAIM FRAUD BY THEIR OVERBILLINGS!

This company knows how to take advantage of the Post Loss Benefits rulings that they recently won to keep ripping off insurance companies. If you are unfamiliar with the "Post Loss Benefits" please clink on the link below to get a better idea.

So from my horrible recent experience and numerous of negative yelp reviews this is how they operate.

FIRST... A plumber shows up to fix a leak or water heater and calls up a "buddy" for a "free estimate" since plumber suspects "water damage". Then EcoDry shows up in less than an hour. They look around and tell you that according to their readings you have a HUGE water loss.

SECOND...They scare the home owner to death with their high pressure sales and basically force you to make a water claim with insurance company on the spot. Tell you that if you don't make claim now mold will start growing and insurance will not pay. So fine, I agree to make water claim and they call in for you. Once claim is filed via phone with insurance company they make you sign a "work order" which in reality is a LEGAL BINDING CONTRACT stating that you acknowledge all of the costs that are about to happen.

THIRD...They start testing for Lead & asbestos even if your house was built after 1978 of course just start racking up costs from the start.

FOURTH...They barricade the work area with "Asbestos" signs so you cant see what's going on in there. FYI test results came negative so this was unnecessary.

5th...They start demo and make you sign for every single thing they do...They will need your signature down the road to bill insurance thousands of dollars, But they waste so much time just waiting around...waiting for lab results ect (BEWARE DONT SIGN ANYTHING EVEN IF YOU FEEL BAD). Anything to make time and they bill per hour anywhere from $60 to $90 PLUS "AFTERHOURS"

6th...They leave the equipment for days even after requested to be removed. Then they lie and say that since they just don't have anybody to pick it up they wont charge you for it.! They charge for every single thing.

7th... They bill the insurance company thousands of dollars for doing hardly anything and if the insurance company cuts their costs they go after the HOME OWNER...Remember that "work order" you sign off on well this basically says that if you don't hand over check they will put a lien on your property AND incur legal fees and interest.

Lastly...if you confront them about their overbilling unethical practices they tell you that you signed away and they are entitled to bill what ever they want.

SO MORAL OF THE STORY...Don't hire these crooks!

Never seen so much dishonesty & greed from a company that takes advantages of the homeowners in needs and bill insurance thousands. They just see you as a big dollar sign!

Hello, We were contracted to do a job for water damage that took place at the property. We performed some asbestos samples to check to see if there was asbestos due to the age of the home. Please feel free to contact our office at [redacted] The work that we were called into do was...

As I said yesterday I am totally dissatisfied with their lack of response to the complaint. All they need to do is come and repair the two holes they made in my guest bathroom to inspect for asbestos. They claimed they would contact me to set up a time to come and fix it. They have yet to do this and I am stuck withthe holes in the wall.It was not my fault that the insurance did not allow the claim. They jumped the gun and assumed it was ok. to get an advance start on the job. Hence the two holes in the wall.

As a result of a water heater malfunction, Ecodry as a company was really there for us! They were very patient with our concerns during the process and their professional staff was amazing! Each step of the work was done on a timely basis, always with Great communication. The job was completed within our time frame. Each person who entered our home was respectful of our property and completed the job with my husband and I feeling totally satisfied with their work ethic!

It's never fun to have water damage but from being at my home within minutes of calling them to the smooth installation of my new flooring, Eco Dry has been a stellar company from the beginning. Every single employee has been respectful and beyond helpful. Shout out to David, Jake, Chance and everyone else that contributed to my awesome, new room. I would recommend this company to anyone and everyone I know. Thanks guys!!!!!!!

Had a water leak in my wall. The fantastic plumber we hired recommended Ecodry. There was no water on the floor just in the drywall in the toilet closet. Tuesday:They were able to come out that day to look at the damage. I was told I would get a binder with all of the estimates and explanations. That didn't happen. This company does not communicate well at all.

Wednesday (New Years Eve): the first crew showed up at 9am. They were very professional. They put plastic on the floor to protect my carpet. They removed the drywall and set up the fans and dehumidifier. They were done and gone by 12:30. I was told this would be about a 3 day process for drying and they would be back on Friday to take moisture readings. Did not happen. I did get a call to schedule removal of the fans and dehumidifier for TUESDAY? That's 7 days and they want to charge for that. I informed them that the insurance adjuster would be there on Monday and would probably cut me a check but they said they could not be there before Tuesday. I specifically asked what if the adjuster's estimate was different and Ecodry said don't worry about it they "will work it out". The adjuster estimated the job, minus the $500 deductible and off he went.

Tuesday: Ecodry shows up and the first thing that is mentioned to me is they need the deductible to get started. I told them I wanted a detailed estimate because I had already been issued a check by the insurance company. Then I was given attitude and was told "they shouldn't have done that".

The next day I was called by their office and was told that "we need to figure out a way to have that check signed over to Ecodry". I informed them before we moved forward that I would like the estimate that I was promised. I was sent an email with no details and that the estimate was the same amount as the check. I said not good enough I wanted detailed estimate; materials and work to be done.

My adjuster called later and was given a bill with the details I have been asking for of more than $1000 more. He has been asking for clarification. As of this writing they have not responded to him. He provided me with the bill he received from Ecodry and there were items that were not provided ie: 9.5 hrs for tear down and set up of driers. WRONG. Actual hours 3.5. OK I'll give you another 30 minutes of drive time. Maybe they want to charge for the time their truck was broken down in front of my house. The other charge was for putting up a plastic containment barrier. WRONG. They put plastic on my floor.

When attempting communication they have flat out lied. My ex wife is my landlord so I have directed them to her. They have said that she told them to call me. Um...no. My ex and I are on great terms and we communicate very well. That was never said.

I had high hopes for this company but alas they either have very poor communication skills or they are dishonest. Not sure which. Either way why would I want to have them do the reconstruction?

From my most recent experience with this company they are crooks. They know how to work the system and lie and overbill insurance companies. They intentionally leave the equipment for days to bill the insurance company more days. In my case I asked them to come pick up equipment and they said that they had no body to pick it up and that I would not get charged and they still billed my insurance company crazy amounts. When I confronted them and asked them to revise their invoice they told me that I was aware of all of the costs and that since they had my signature they are entitled to all of the expenses and if I did not turn over the check they would accuse me of insurance fraud which of course was not true I was just telling them that they overbilled because I saw with my own two eyes how little they worked, but billed thousands to my insurance.

The best work I've had they are the BEST!!!

EcoDry Restoration came to my house on a Saturday at a moments notice and saved us so much hassle. They were professional, honest and efficient--meeting all of my expectaions. They dealt directly with my insurance and so I did not have to be the middle man, which I really appreciated. The adjuster even made the comment that this company was very easy for her to work with. I would highly reccomend them, and would use them again myself.

With the water leakage I had it's nice to have someone who knows what there doing, and can pass on the information so I may understand better.

We had a hot water pipe spring a leak in our living room wall right before Christmas. The tree and display cabinets hid the fact our wall had become a sponge, until the water was pooling up under the carpet. When we went to move our Christmas presents we discovered they were sitting in water. Our long time plumber came in and fixed the pipe and called in Echodry for the restoration. They were prompt and even though this spanned the holiday they handled it very well. They worked with the insurance agent and all we really had to do was to pay our deductible and Basically, when the insurance paid us we paid Echodry. There were a few hiccups in getting everything lined up but that was mainly communication between the insurance and them and I am pretty sure it was standard communication issues around the holidays. In all we were very pleased with EchoDry and their very professional teams from the wall removers/restoral to the carpet replacement folks. We had normal schedule issues (Especially since it was around the Holidays) and they worked with us very well. In All, Thumbs up!!

Such a good company to deal with! Super nice people, from the first guy to come when I had a leak in my ceiling, to the guys who came to do the demo, to place the fans, and anyone I've talked to on the phone. I appreciated their service, and I would deal with them again without hesitation.
