After researching this complaint, it looks like he never actually tried to cancel until the account went delinquent At the time he tried to cancel, he was still past due which is why it went to collections To retain good customer relations, I will have him removed from collections

This member signed up for training on October 12th After her initial session, her personal trainer was obligated to miss work due to being hospitalized with an illnessThis member, (along with all of the trainers other clients) was contacted and given the option to train with another trainer in the meantime The contract that was read and signed by the member clearly states that the total amount of the service is broken up into two separate charges, however both of those charges add up to the original total that was initially agreed upon During her first month of service there was a club error that lead to the member being charged less than she originally signed up forDue to the fact that this was a club error, we did not hold her responsible Following the first month, the correction was made to her service that would now charge her the exact amount that she signed the contract for Management explained what had happened with her both on the phone and in person Following his medical leave (week), her trainer was clocked in each night that she was scheduled for Most of her training sessions were completed, unless the member did not attend without cancelingIf at any time, one of her training sessions would start late, the trainer would still honor the full time session by training over her original scheduleThis did not happen often On 1/4/her trainer was clocked in and did not have a client prior to her session that would have caused him to run late This member checked into the gym at 6:02pm on 1/4/when her session was due to being at 6:00pm During that session (her last session of the service) the trainer had gone out of his way to provide her with workouts that she can perform on her own This member filed a financial complaint to the [redacted] who has since been replaced Once our new [redacted] (hired the last week of December) was informed of this matter, he took immediate action and contacted corporate to issue her a refund checkThe check request was sent out on Jan7th Our corporate office has received the request and has sent this member a refund check

Shabnam signed up on 7/31/& signed off on the fact she would pay her annual club enhancement fee on 10/of each year ABC did not receive the call to cancel until 10/8/14, which was after the fact I will cancel her membership today with nothing further due

The Edge will cancel her membership with nothing further due Because her due date is tomorrow, we can't stop the draft, but will refund it back Good luck & congratulations on your pregnancy This will be one less thing to worry about She did speak with [redacted] our third party billing company and they were just abiding by the terms of the agreement

[redacted] signed up her daughter [redacted] and it was explained to her that this is a reoccurring service [redacted] came to her appts and mom continued to get billedSince the original 8, [redacted] has worked with her trainer almost more times She got in touch with the management and they explained everything When they tried to call her again, she said she did not want to talk on the phoneShe had sessions that were billed that were not used, she was coming 2xweekWe offered her to refund those unused sessions and she stopped communication which was about a week ago We can't refund sessions that were already paid to the trainer

*** did not cancel before her bill date as she signed an agreement that requires days noticeShe came in and filled out the cancel form in club but was after her billWe offered her to use it for [redacted] but she refusedThe management spoke to *** on several occasions to explain why she could not get a refund

Good morningWe have left [redacted] two messages since Tuesday, April 19, She has not responded On Wednesday, April 20, our Facilities Representatives came out to perform a full inspection of all the spin bikes in the studioSome adjustments were made during the inspection as well as performing routine maintenanceWe will reach out to [redacted] again next week if we do not hear back from her by then We are hoping to meet to not only update on her on the actions already taken but to also inspect her equipment A loose or broken cleat can also make it difficult to disengage from a clip We will need the spin shoes here to rule that out The Edge Fitness Clubs of Trumbull runs one to two spin classes a dayThere are a total of bikes in the spin studioSince this original situation, no additional complaints have been reportedIn closing, please know we are doing everything possible to swiftly resolve this situation to our everyone's satisfactionRespectfully, Sandy T [redacted] Sandy T [redacted] | Supervisor |The Edge Fitness Clubs of Trumbull [redacted] ** [redacted] [redacted] [redacted]

There was no late fee applied in this case I have looked and [redacted] has not had a late fee The contract states that an additional service fee will be charged for any draft returned for insufficient funds or any other reason So he did pay a service fee back in Thank you

Club manager met with member to review complaint and they have resolved the issues.Her schedule was reviewed It was determined that she and the trainer both cancelled sessionsMember did not show up for of her sessions without cancelling them within the hour time frame required by the signed agreement in placeThe club will give her complimentary sessions to compensate for them Member only wanted training for months but did not fill out required paperwork to cancel her recurring serviceThe automatic withdrawal for her third month of training has been refunded to her account

I do apologize for the misunderstandingLooking back I do see that my sales manager Morgan cleared [redacted] 's account from collections and collected the final paymentIt should have been cancelled and removed from our system so there may have been confusion during the process [redacted] will no longer receive emails or calls about her account from The Edge Fitness ClubsI am personally making sure her account is cancelled and cleared of any debtWe will compose an official letter stating this and have it sent to [redacted] Thank you

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: My complaint is not with the Edge it is with the Finance Company that does their billing As I stated in my initial email, this was not supposed to be an official complaint because I was not charged a fee by the finance company at this timeI simply wanted to inquire about their practice regarding late fees My contract specifically says: A late fee MAY be applied if dues are more than days late The finance company tried to charge me a late fee THE SAME DAY MY DUES WERE PAID After disputing this with the rep on the phone, he agreed to waive the fee I want to know if they can just charge someone's account whenever they see fit? Must BE or olderRestrictions Apply." imprinted on the backHe told the salesperson that he was only looking to use our gym for the day as [redacted] ' power had gone outThe Edge's guest policy is as follows: Any 1st time guest who has never been in the club before is allowed to enjoy 1st workout freeIf not interested in becoming a member with us after the initial complimentary workout, our standard day fee of $per day is assessedSince Mr [redacted] had already been into the club before for his complimentary workout, the salesperson informed him that he had to be charged the day fee amount of $for the July 1st workoutHe was also informed that if he was interested in obtaining a membership with The [redacted] Edge, that the $day fee would be credited to his membership as a form of reimbursementHe was clear in his intents and stated that he was not interested and solely wanted to use the club for the day as his current club had no powerHe left after the conversation with the salesperson without completing the workout or paying the standard feeHe later returned with the automatic email message and inquired about redeeming it for a complimentary workoutThe salesperson again explained that he would still be charged for the day as the card and email indicated that "Restrictions Apply." He informed the salesperson that this was very misleading and left once again

The manager and employees are crooked at this facilityThey promise you one thing and nothing comes about itI spoke to their member services regarding my memembership and they told me that they will resolve it but never did and told me they will contact meThen spoke to a manager regarding the same issue he said he would change my memembership and I ask him for an email confirmation but nothingI called once again and a worker told me nothing has been done to my accountThat I would need to come there in person to update it while the manager said he will take care of everythingI didn't need to come in to resolve this issueThey lure you in with services offered to their customersAlso, horrible customer service and lazy employeesAll they want you to do is to get locked in into a contract and take your money
