[redacted] we checked your account and you are within the terms of your agreement and your last payment will be 3/30/and your membership is already set to cancel at that time

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Sincerely, it is great to finally get this issue resolved in regards to cancelling my membership thanks [redacted]

[redacted] signed up for Personal Training 7/ Her agreement states that we require require days for cancellation of services Customer filled out cancellation paperwork for personal training and requested a refund for sessions already purchased and agreed toOur personal training agreements clearly state that there is no refund for personal training sessions which Mrs [redacted] signed We did extended a courtesy because of her extenuating circumstance and allowed her to avoid paying the final payment of the personal training agreement that she signed holding her to day notice

It appears that Joanna has signed up for a year membership in our [redacted] location on 2/24/The contract is signed on all parts so she would not qualify for early termination- unless, medical documentation is provided or she moves farther than miles away from any of our locationsWe do not have cancellation fees to stop the contract early, she would have to pay off the remainder of the contract if she would like to have it cancel immediatelyI would be happy to provide you with a copy of your agreement if needed

I have been in Arizona since April I will attempt to speak with manager of the Edge either tomorrow or SundayShe was not in today when I calledI will get back to Revdex.com after speaking with her

From: *** *** *** Sent: Tuesday, June 28, 1:PMTo: ***Cc: [email protected]: Edge membership/Revdex.com complaint #***Dear ***Re: Revdex.com complaint letter ***I have
received a letter from the Revdex.com regarding your membershipPlease know that our policies do require that while you are still within the terms of the agreement, you aren’t able to cancel unless there is a move or medical reason. Please know that due to your extenuating circumstances, I have made an exception of proof for cancellation & cancelled your membershipI hope all is well & this is one less thing you would need to worry about. As I can’t answer on the website, I am sending you an email directly.Best,Shannon

This
particular member was charged a service fee for the declined attempt on
10/20/14. He called in on 10/22/and updated his cc info and made a
payment. *** *** did waive the service fee. There seems to be a
little confusion with the member as to what fee he was charged and when
The
service fee is applied right when the payment declines while the late fee is
days after the account is delinquent

They do not allow you to cancel your membershipEven after cancellation they continue to bill you

*** ***, our third party billing company, received their first call on April from *** regarding a cancellation. Per the terms of the agreement, which clearly state the cancellation terms that *** initialed and signed off on, we require the cancellation request be emailed
in writing (to prevent what happened here, where a member claims they cancelled but there is no paper trail anywhere). If *** can provide us with proof of cancellation previously, then we would be happy to refund any monies paid, Otherwise, ***'s membership has been cancelled immediately with nothing further due

Hi ***I sincerely apologize about the contract not being clearer to understandI will talk to the staff about providing a clearer cancellation policy when selling membershipsI also apologize for the way you where treated over the phone when you tried
to get answers about the contractTo resolve your issue I have gone in and canceled your membership effective immediately

I have never ever come across such nasty rude inconsiderate people that work at this gym in my life! Lets make this a long story short, my year old sister passed away in a very tragic accident and I wanted some money back for personal training because well my sister died, I didn't want to go to the gym anymore, Tom the GM told me that he didn't believe me about my sister!!! Everybody that I have asked for a manager higher than Tom I get the run around or a fake email address! The trainer was horrible and I am a single mom who worked over time at work so I could afford a personal trainer, it was a waste of over of my hard earned money, the trainer and everybody there just sucks period

I joined the Edge Fitness Club in the spring of through their online siteI had planned on only using the gym for the summer as I was going off to college in the fall and there are no Edge Fitness Clubs in the area of my campusAfter finding out that I would have to send in documentation to cancel my membership and that I could not just simply do it over a phone call, I sent a letter to *** *** *** with the required documentationThe documentation was a receipt of a tuition bill and a copy of my college scheduleAfter finding out weeks after that my documents were unacceptable because they were not mailed correctly, I spoke with an individual from *** *** ***She told me that all I would need to cancel my account would be to take a screenshot of my computer screen logged into my school website displaying a tuition bill and my school scheduleAfter emailing this information, I was informed that it was not enough proof, even though I followed all of the steps told to me by the individual I spoke with at *** ***I am still getting billed every month sinceI have not attended this gym since 6/and after two attempts to cancel my membership they still have to investigate my informationIt is ridiculous that a picture of my tuition bill and class schedule are not sufficient enoughBoth were pictures from my university website with my college name and information on the documentsIt is unjust what the Edge is requiring to cancel a membership

I have cancelled your son's membership immediately with nothing further due. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. As your son is a minor, the club or the company should have immediately cancelled his membership

Hi ***
First and foremost, let me apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced at The Edge of ManchesterAlthough our Guest Policy states that any member is allowed to bring a local guest, over the age of with a valid CT state ID for one complimentary workout, it also
states that we reserve the right to change or add to these rules and adopt new ones, as we feel necessary for proper management of the clubUnfortunately, the signage stating this temporary policy change was moved from our Front Desk to a Membership Advisor desk and it was Management's mistake for not returning it to the Front Desk for clear view.
I also apologize for the manner in which you feel our Front Desk staff handled the situationIt is our policy that all employees of The Edge treat our members and their guests with respect and courtesyThis is not a common practice at The Edge and the issue will be handled internally.
We welcome you to bring your guest in for a complimentary Day Guest PassFor any other questions or concerns, please feel free to contact club management at your convenience

nowhers in the paperwork does it state that you cannot get a refund for services that I DID NOT AND WILL NOT RECEIVEThere is no contract, but the company is trying to state that there isThe man specifically stated that there is no contract and you can cancel at any timeThe cancellation form state that you will only be charged for session booked prior to the cancellation dateI had no sessions booked priorThey were all booked for AFTER the date of cancellation, hence me cancelling and expecting to not be chargedInstead the company feels they can charge me for OPTIONAL services that bear NO CONTRACTThat's cheating people and it's unethical

September The Edge Fitness Clubs *** *** *** *** *** ** *** To Whom It May Concern:
Based on past interactions with your organization, I don’t expect this letter to result in any resolution nor is a resolution sought-afterHowever, as a once paying and loyal patron of your gym, I feel the need to express the pure disgust with the treatment I’ve received from your company—to be specific those in the ownership roles of your companyThe interactions I’ve had with this company nearly eight months ago and today have been completely unprofessional and outright unfairNearly eight months ago, I was approached by an individual—the owner or one of the owners, not certain of your company’s ownership structure—who: in plain clothes, without identifying himself as an employee and/or representative of The Edge Fitness Clubs, approached me, verbally reprimanded me for making a simple mistake—accidentally hitting a ceiling joist over the “*** to the wall” area with a medicine ballHe then proceeded to walk to the front desk and point me out to the staff members This is the equivalent of being pulled over and reprimanded by a police officer that fails to identify himself as suchAs an individual who at one point loved your facilities, to the point I sought employment as a sales agent of your company because I had a personal vested interest in seeing growth in the organization, I was thoroughly insultedIn attempt to make it clear that it was not in my intentions to damage or mistreat the facility I later approached the still unidentified individualThis individual—who I’m assuming was intimidated and/or insulted by my interaction immediately took a defensive stance and in extreme unprofessionalism and arrogance replied first stating I was breaking rules—rules that were posted nowhere in the club—by having a bench on the turfHe then continued to inform me he’s the owner of the establishment and if I don’t like the way he does things I can, in turn—in his exact words—cancel my membership because he has a thousand members and he could careless about losing myself as oneI am certainly no owner of a fitness club brand with multiple locations or any other business for that matter; however, I know such a statement is completely unprofessional when speaking on behalf of an organizationAt that point I gladly obliged and canceled my member, which was no longer under contractFor the past few weeks under the influence of a few of your gym’s current members—who after hearing of the treatment I’ve endured, will soon be canceling their memberships as well—and also because I do enjoy the equipment of the facility; I have been using your Hamden, CT facility, each time paying the ten dollar single-day club use fee However, today, nearly eight months after the before mentioned incident with the owner of this establishment, I was, at the front desk in front of assumed employees and other members, approached by the manager or acting representative of the owner and informed I was not wanted on the propertyThis came as a complete shock to me being that I’ve used the facility multiple times within the last month, without incident, but because the owner—a supposed business man, who’s goal, or at least one would believe to be, is to maximize profits and minimize cost, that is the sole purpose of for-profit businesses, correct? —Has a personal grudge my patronage is no longer wantedAs a once supporter of you company, I am beyond disgusted and offended by the actions of this companyAs I said, I don’t expect or want any resolution or apology from your organizationFurthermore, to avoid being a defendant of a possible civil case, I can’t tell anyone to not be a customer of yoursHowever, I can certainly and will certainly share my experience with as many people as I possibly can, leaving the decision up to themIn my personal-uneducated opinion, your company—specifically the owner—should heavily invest in customer interaction, relationship management training and maybe even invest in a procedure to interacting with customers in situations as suchI will also take this opportunity to relay to you, one of the biggest lessons learned in my military experience, a company, business, organization, team, etcis only as good a those in leadership rolesThe owner, an assumed leader of this organization, has in my opinion proven himself to be an—for lack of better words—arrogant, unprofessional and demeaning ***With that in mind, what does that render his company?
God Bless,
An Extremely Dissatisfied Customer

Can not terminate membership even with legal documents to support termination above and beyond their t&c's in the contractHave not been able to receive communication from the only available email which is customer serviceFacility management offers no valid assistance or explanationsDisgusting business with corporate greed
