03/30/Ref: [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] Miss [redacted] ’s complaint with Fort Knox Federal Credit Union (FKFCU) centers around three items Miss [redacted] states that she should not be listed as co-maker, but rather as a primary applicant on the two loans that she has with FKFCU Miss [redacted] states that she made payments to an account that were improperly applied Miss [redacted] is requesting that FKFCU take steps to update its credit reporting information to indicate that she was not delinquent on the required payments referenced in item number Fort Knox Credit Union apologizes for any misunderstanding and responds as follows: The loan application documentation from the time of loan origination clearly supports that these loans were set up correctlyIn both cases Miss [redacted] ’s completed and signed the co-applicant section of the application Miss [redacted] is welcome to contact FKFCU and obtain copies of her loan documentation A review of the situation indicates that FKFCU applied Miss [redacted] ’s payments in accordance with its policy and the account agreements in place However, as this was apparently different than Miss [redacted] ’s expectations, as a courtesy FKFCU will credit an amount equal to the payments made into the account to the loan that she is questioning Due to the misunderstanding concerning how Miss [redacted] ’s payments towards this account would be applied, FKFCU will further update the account history to reflect that her payments did not exceed days past due In addition, FKFCU will promptly provide this updated history to the credit reporting agencies This should resolve Miss [redacted] ’s concerns laid out in her complaint If Miss [redacted] has any further questions, she is welcome to reach out to me at the number provided below [redacted] Manager – Loan OperationsFort Knox Federal Credit Union [redacted]

02/13/ [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] complaint references transactions not being allowed and his Visa card being blocked Fort Knox Federal Credit Union uses a 3rd party provider to monitor transactions This company monitors a large amount of account and transaction level information to help control risk and mitigate fraud against our members and our organization For security reasons, we cannot disclose specifics regarding the screens and filters applied when monitoring transactions However, I can confirm that the Credit Union does not have anything in place that would block a transaction simply because it was originated by [redacted] [redacted] states in his complaint that the Credit Union blocked his card and did not provide notice to him Authorizations on his card were blocked after a transaction was detected that was originated in a foreign country and was being processed online Again, for security purposes it is prudent that we not disclose the Credit Union’s security settings, however this type of transaction looks suspect and prompts the Credit Union to verify that the transactions were properly authorized The Credit Union’s records indicate that the 3rd party provider immediately placed a phone call to [redacted] and left a message in an attempt to verify the activity on January 27th [redacted] states in his letter that his wife visited our location on Fort Knox on January 28th, That facility would not have been open on that day It is possible that he meant to write January 27th as that is the day the account authorizations were suspended Our office would have been open that day; however the Credit Union’s records do not show any transactions or status changes made to his card at that branch that dayAdditional transactions were blocked on later dates, however once [redacted] contacted the 3rd party provider on January 31st and indicated that the charges were valid, the block was immediately lifted The Credit Union considers the matter to be resolved [redacted] is welcome to call me at any time should he have any additional questions [redacted] *** [redacted]

Fort Knox Federal Credit Union is always looking for ways to improve our member experience We have researched the member's complaint and believe that Ms [redacted] may be misunderstanding the dates being referenced in the letters and notices she has been receiving from us The insurance applied to her loan balance and causing the increase in payments is due to a lack of appropriate coverage from the time period of 1/18/2017-1/18/ She was provided multiple notices before this coverage was enforced and was advised we could drop the coverage and credit her account back if she provided appropriate proof that her automobile was insured at that timeTo date, no proof of coverage has been provided for this time period Additional notices were being sent as the coverage enforced was about to expire in January that alerted our member we still did not have any coverage At that time, she did provide proof of coverage as she stated in January of That coverage she obtained prevented a second policy from being force placed and increasing the payments even further, however it does clear any of the time that we had to force place a policy to cover the collateral that the member had chosen not to insure The increased payments are needed to cover the cost of the insurance If the member can provide proof of coverage during the time period of 1/18/2017-1/18/2018, we would be able to assist her in receiving a refund for any time that she had the required coverage on her own With no proof of coverage, the payments will need to stay at the same level they are to ensure the loan is paid within the appropriate term
