Elite Moving & Storage

I contracted with the company to move my furniture and boxes from Chicago to Charlotte, NC. The delivery time frame was between May 25 and June 14. Everything was picked up from my home on May 10th. On June 4, I emailed James *** and asked if my boxes and furniture left Chicago. His response was Dispatch was finalizing the schedule. Unable to give me an ETA. On June 12 I called again to inquire about my shipment. I was put on hold several times. When I called back the 3rd time I spoke with Maricruz *** who said dispatch closes at 4 p.m. She would call me back first thing Wednesday. No call. I called back and was connected to Maricruz who said she could not reach dispatch. Did I want her to call me back. I told her no. I would hold on. She came back 10 minutes later to say that my items never left the Skokie warehouse and that the truck may leave on either Friday or Saturday. I asked to speak with dispatch and was told they were not allowed to give me their number. I asked to speak to the supervisor and was told I couldn't. She said she told me what they told her and I would have to wait for my belongings but I would be the first one to get the delivery.
I also asked her about reimbursement for their delay. She said I would be reimburses $30/day that they were late with the delivery. They could have told me on June 4 that my belongings never left their warehouse.

The lackadaisical attitude that they have leaves a lot to be desired. They do not deserve an A+ rating.

Moved from Chicago to San Francisco in March, I looked at both big and small competitors. Elite had the best prices, excellent customer service, accurate estimates, no hidden costs, timely pickup and accurate drop-off estimate. I did not have a final address at the time of pickup, so my stuff took longer to arrive in CA than I'd hoped - but they were up front about this, too. I've recommended them to friends who have had similar glowing experiences, so I know my great experience wasn't a fluke. Highly recommended.

Elite Moving & Storage exceeded our expectations during a recent local move! The sales team was very (underscore) generous in their flexibility with our move out and move in dates. The same three man team who handled our furniture moving out of our third story condo, moved the furniture into our home two days later and were very familiar with which items were fragile and required extra care. The movers were extremely professional, took all measures to protect our furniture, and operated quickly and efficiently. The final cost of the move was in line with the estimate provided and was very reasonable. I would absolutely recommend Elite Moving & Storage to anyone making a move.

My husband and I were impressed with Elite Moving on our last move! Elite moved us into our new apartment in Chicago this summer. My husband used to be a mover, so he has seen the good, the bad and the ugly as far as moves go but this move astonished us both with how smoothly it went. The dispatch lady called the day before to confirm that we would be there for our move. The foreman, Sandro, and his guys were on time, smiling, and helped us through the paperwork maze confidently and patiently. They immediately got busy wrapping the bookcases and furniture, and even packed up a couple of boxes (we forgot to empty a small cabinet). The way they worked together to get the job done made it look easy (though we moved to a 2nd floor walk-up and have so many books). They wasted no time during the move, and wrapped everything up with a quick review of the paperwork. I was most impressed with how little I had to do during the move (literally pointing out which room I wanted each piece of furniture in), but my husband was more astonished by the speed with which they got it all taken care of. Great hourly rate for the level of service we received. This is the way we will move from now on- saved my husband's back and my sanity! All around a wonderful experience.

1st off my wife was given a phone quote for a 4 bedroom home. We have a 2 bedroom home with exta boxes in garage, no problem. Ended up 2 trips with an overage of $800 not even in the ballpark of 1st quote. Guys got lazy on 2nd trip instead of bringing boxes to rooms they belonged in they put them in the garage. Broke the leg on our tv. Was not expecting a quote of 1,200 and end up paying 2,000. Couple hundred im ok with. Got the song and dance from the office. How did they get almost all 5 stars. I must be the lone nutball.lol
