Re: Complaint ID [redacted] ([redacted], Inc.)
Dear [redacted]:
I am responding to the complaint from [redacted].
We have extensively reviewed the law and...

policies about the type of advertising that we do. While we feel we are operating ethically, and in full compliance with the law we appreciate the comments from [redacted] and will take note of them.
Please note that our solicitations prominently bears on their face the required disclaimer in bright green 32 point bold type, stating the form is not a bill, but a solicitation.
We are soliciting the recipient to place an employment advertisement with us that was previous placed. Our offers are sent in a timely manner to insure the advertisement we are soliciting for is active.
In addition, the form contains many other details on the front and back of the solicitation on exactly what our offer is. Such as “An independent classified service”.
We regret [redacted] is unhappy with our mailings we will be more than happy to remove his company from future mailings. We will remove [redacted], WV [redacted], from our mailings. Please note it can take up to 15-20 days for this to be effective.
If you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Jake F[redacted] President

August 30, 2017             Re: Complaint ID [redacted]   Dear [redacted]:   I am responding to the complaint filed today by [redacted].   I’m not sure why people are so quick to file a complaint when they...

don’t give the business a chance to respond directly.    I found out the first and only contact from [redacted] was just this afternoon when she left a voice mail message at 2:47pm.  The voice mail stated she wanted “someone to call”.  She did not state what it was concerning nor her company name.   We have extensively reviewed the law and policies about the type of advertising that we do. We feel we are operating ethically, and in full compliance.   Please note that our solicitations prominently bears on their face the required disclaimer in bright green 32 point bold type, stating the form is not a bill, but a solicitation. In addition, the form contains many other details on the front and back of the solicitation on exactly what our offer is. Such as “An independent classified service”. To my knowledge we have had no request for a receipt of payment or proof of publication, which we would have gladly supplied if requested.   We will process a refund in the amount of $948.48 for ad# [redacted] “Owner Operator” even though we did our part and published the ad.  We have today cancelled the ad per [redacted]’s request. Please note it can take up to 15 days for the refund to be processed. If you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to contact me. Sincerely, Jake F[redacted] President

April 27, 2016 Revdex.com of Metro Washington DC and Eastern PA   Re: Complaint ID [redacted]- [redacted] (Resume Client)   Dear Ms. [redacted]:   I am responding to the complaint from [redacted], which was recently received.   Our resume support staff reviewed the documentation on...

the order [redacted] placed.   [redacted]’s credit card was not charged, and the following is the explanation of what happened with the resume order.   Our resume support staff are available Monday- Friday and the customer placed the order close of business Friday. If she was attempting to contact us by phone over the weekend, this is the reason the calls were going to voicemail.   On Friday night our technical team started the process of updating our website and moving our servers. This is the reason the client received an error when uploading her information.    On Monday morning the resume support staff was working with the technical team to finish the transition to the new server. Since the card had not been charged on Friday, the accounting department attempted to charge the card for the service, but the card was declined. In looking at the account, it looked suspicious, so we were not sure if it was fraud. The account was under [redacted] and the card was under [redacted]. A message was sent to the client, but was returned due to a typo in the email address. We were not aware of the typo until we received the documentation from you.  We assumed the credit card charge was fraud until we received the Revdex.com complaint.   There was also a delay in the email we received from the client. The email was sent to an administrator email. This isn’t used for resume orders, so there was a delay in getting it to the right department.   We attempted to contact the client when we realized what had occurred, so we could explain what had happened. Both of her numbers went to voicemail, so we left a message assuring her that her card was not charged and apologized for what had happened. We left a call back number if she had any questions.   I hope this is enough information to show that this was just a case of unfortunate timing and not a scam at all.   We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused [redacted].   If you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to contact me. Sincerely, Jake F[redacted]President

RE: [redacted] / ID # [redacted]
Dear [redacted],
On 1/15/15 the above...

referenced client purchased our resume services over the telephone. Upon purchasing, the client was immediately given a user id and password to log into “www.resumedesktop.com”. We stayed in direct communication with the client via the telephone and gave instructions on how to log in. The client then signed into our site agreeing to our terms and conditions. We then instructed the client on where to go on our site to fill out the career assessment form (this is provided to the clients to give us additional details that are not included in the resume), along with how to send messages to us. All of this was done over the telephone.
We have been in touch several times with the client as indicated.
1/15/15 the client read our first message instructing her on the steps she needs to follow in order for us to complete her resume package. The client read our message.
1/15/15 we sent a second message informing the client how to add us to their address book and steps needed in order for us to complete the resume package. The client read our message.
1/16/15 The client called in and stated she will not be uploading the documents we requested but would like to fax them. The client was given our fax number.
1/16/15 we sent the client a message reiterating instructions on how to log in and requesting information from her. The client read our message
1/20/15 the client faxed her current resume to us. We uploaded it onto the resume desktop.
1/20/15 we sent the client a message stating we received her information and we will be proceeding to assign her to a writer. The client read our message.
1/20/15 introduced her to her writer via the resume desktop. The client read our message.
1/22/15 we sent the client her first set documents, requesting additional details from her. The client read our message.
1/23/15 we sent a message informing the client her package was delivered and we need a response from her. The client read our message.
1/24/15 we sent a message confirming the client received her documents and to let us know if she has any questions. The client read our message.
1/28 we sent a message giving advice on her new job search. The client read our message.
1/30/15 the client called and left a message with one of our staff members showing that she has our number if she had any questions or concerns. We returned her phone call and left a message stating that we have a no cancelation policy and for her to call us back so we can assist her further. Client did not return our call.
We do offer a money back guarantee and have a no cancellation policy. We are more than happy to assist the client and provide our services to her, but she needs to reach out to us and provide additional information as requested in order for us to complete her documents. We went above and beyond to try to assist the client with any challenges she was having. We normally do not accept faxes and we made an exception for her. We can only work with the information that is given to us and the additional information that we requested from the client was not sent by her. We are willing to work with the client to complete her documents we just need information from her in order to do so.
Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Thank You,

October 27, 2016  Revdex.com of Metro Washington DC and Eastern PA Re: Complaint ID #[redacted]  Dear [redacted]: [redacted]’s complaint was “4 to 6 hour turn around it's been almost 2 days no email no call nothing” On our website states “All delivery times are based on...

Monday to Friday working hours from 8:30am to 5pm PST and 11:30am to 8:00pm EST”. The client purchased his resume on 10/20/16 at 10:33pm EST. On the purchase page where he ordered the Rush it says “4 to 6 hour RUSH delivery - You'll receive your completed resume 4-6 working hours after we receive your information”. Since the resume was purchased after business hours, we didn’t receive [redacted]’s voicemail until the following morning 10/21/16. We immediately called him to let him know that the rush is based on business hours and explained how to submit his information. This was at 11:00am EST which is 30 minutes before our working hours. He was very nice and polite on the phone and thanked us for the help.  We received the information to write the resume at 2:30pm EST, and his new resume documents were sent to him at 7:30pm.  This is within the 4-6 hour time frame as promised. He responded to the delivery of his documents by saying: “[redacted] - 10/21/2016Excellent job [redacted]!!!! Thank you very much I am extremely satisfied with the results thank you very much.” “[redacted] - 10/21/2016I wanted to let you know that I am extremely satisfied with the results thank you [redacted] very much Excellent Job!!!!” According to our last communication with the client he was extremely satisfied with our service, and did not mention wanting or expecting a refund. I hope this is enough information to show that this was just a case of confusion on our business hours. There was no delay in communication or the delivery of the client’s documents. If you have any further questions or require any more information, please do not hesitate to contact me. Sincerely, Jake F[redacted] President

Review: I contacted our local newpaper ([redacted]) to publish a clerical ad in our local newspaper on March 23, 2014. They ran it for 1 day and they billed me $149.00. In the meantime I received a notice from Employment Publishing with the ad taped to the top of this notice and the amount of $149.00. I assumed that this company was handling the billing for the Grand Island Independent so I paid the bill of $312.81 as the independent didn't run the ad for 2 days as I was going to. We sent the check to Employment Publishing and they cashed the check. I would like to know how they got ahold of the clerical ad that was in our local newspaper and know to charge the same amount as the [redacted]Desired Settlement: I feel that Employment Publishing needs to reimburse me the amount of $312.81.

Review: We received a "bill" from this company that was printed in triplicate - making it appear like an actual invoice. Our financial secretary mistakenly paid the "invoice", thinking it was an actual bill for advertisement we had done through another company. Fortunately, we caught the error before the check was mailed. This solicitation is incredibly misleading, and even though it states it is a solicitation, because of the format of the "bill" and the volume of bills we pay at the church, it is very easy to misunderstand. I believe this type of mailing is grossly misleading and has encouraged other companies to issue a check, and mistakenly sign-up for advertisement that they did not request. I sense that once payment is received by Employment Publishing, they provide the website publishing for an ad, and therefore, your funds will not be returned because services have been rendered.Desired Settlement: I request that this company be prohibited from mailing forms of this nature.

Review: Sales invoice (with amount) that appears they want payment for a classified employment ad. Now provided, they have at bottom of invoice, this is not a bill but a solicitation.

We advertised a job via radio and newspaper and they picked up on that and sent us deceptive invoice.

I refer to it as deceptive because it was in same time period as our ad was placed elsewhere and if we had inexperienced personnel in our bookkeeping dept then this may have bee paid. This company is counting on that and I feel they are scamming.

aDesired Settlement: They need to stop sending out these types of bills/invoices for payment. It is deceiving.

They need to start with sending out their business information and the things that they offer. This is what everyone else does!

Review: They sent us a document that looks like an invoice for services not requested. The document that looked like an invoice was for the exact same service that I had purchased from another supplier in the exact amount I was quoted from the other supplier and referencing the same exact date I purchased this product from my other supplier. I had not received an invoice from my other supplier, so I took this document as a legitimate invoice. The document contains a statement saying that it is a solicitation, but the description of the product, the date and the pricing of the product were intentionally deceiving with the goal of tricking people into sending payment in response to this document as if it were a legitimate invoice rather than garnering business in a respectable way. Further, they have not responded to phone calls with questions about their product which did not produce any results.Desired Settlement: We would like our money back.

Review: As secretary of the our nonprofit organization, I placed an employment ad with a local newspaper. At no time did we contact Employment Publishing to place an ad. A few weeks later our president received a bill from Employment Publishing stating "Your advertisement to be listed as follows with your approval" . Our organization's president, who receives the mail and who did not placed the ad with the newspaper, assumed this was a bill for our ad and signed and paid for the ad to be placed. This resulted in an extra $349 expense for our small nonprofit organization. The invoice does not list a phone number to call for quick remedying of the problem. There is no website to explain where the ad is being placed. If it is the ad listed, it does not list any contact information for people to respond to for the ad that is placed.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the amount. It takes our organization a long time to raise $349 and the money that we do raise goes to help women who don't have the resources to help themselves. Shame on this business for targeting a nonprofit, of all organizations!
