Where do I begin. My Mechanic is right across the street to this place. My Mechanic worked on my suspension and he got an alignment done by Evans tire. As soon I drove it I noticed something was wrong, it felt as if my tires were dragging across the road as I'm driving and trying to parallel park. This was around August 2015. I went back 3 times to this place to let them know something was wrong only to be treated like a sack of s[redacted] and was told that there was nothing wrong with the alignment. 4 months passed by and my tires were extremely bald from the outside. I got new tires and decided to get a second opinion and guess what, the alignment was way off and not to mention that the alignment was never adjusted. This place is worthless. I cannot believe that they can treat people like crap, steal there money and expect more business. This place rips people off. If you check the yelp reviews on This place it'll confirm.

Review: not sure if that was the right complaint thing to pick but I didnt see a right one for mine. sorry.

9/9/13

I am making this complaint do to the fact that we feel we were somewhat ripped off in the matter of this We took the car to Evans tires on November 11th 2012 for a oil leak problem and they told me they need to look and fix from the top down because there was so much oil on the top they came to that it was a Oil pan gasket leak problem and that it would fix the problem that was going to coast $600.00+ also they said we had to replace both fan belt and the other belt. Then after all that there still was a good amount of oil still leaking from the car then they found it was a leak under the car and all that would coast us another $600.00+ that we didn’t have since we fixed the other part that they said would fix the problem… I told them don’t you need to look under the car first because there is lots of oil spraying up and to the back of the car they said no they work from the top down. They told me they had to replace the camshaft seal, crankshaft seal and water pump and timing belt all that was going to be $600.00+ additional to the first repair don of $600.00+. we feel that it was poor judgment of their behalf and I think if they looked under the car first and fixed all that we would still have the car now but we ran out of money to get the other part fixed I feel every time we went there they found problem after problem when we knew nothing else was wrong with the car. I also feel there mechanics are not we trained. That other $600.00 that we most likely didn’t have to use we could still have then so now we are out one car and very inconvenienced.

Thank you [redacted] M.Desired Settlement: I think we deserve a refund and a appology on this casue I feel if we got the under part of the car fixed we would still have the car and have had to waste$600.00+ on the top I would have used it to fix the bottom apart and still had my car.

Ms. [redacted],

My Name is [redacted]. I am the new store manager here at the Evans Tire in [redacted] in which you visited. I have read your file here as well as the complaint you have filed. I see all the work that was done, and I do understand your frustration with the leak on your vehicle in which you are experiencing. I would like to help figure out what I can do to help, but I truly need to see the car so that I can see what was done on your vehicle and what may be in fact leaking. I will assure you I will properly and personal tend to your situation with your car. I was not here at the time of the original repairs so I have nothing else to go on except for inspecting the car myself. I tried to contact you a week or two ago, please let me know if we can find time to check the car out together so we can get some answers. I am looking forward to speaking with you, and resolving this matter. Thank You.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I just got a email from them but as I said in the complaint we no longer have the car didn't have the money to fix the other part they say needed to Be done so we had to get rid of it. But if we had fixed the problem that they said needed to be done now first WE STILL WOULD HAVE HAD THAT CAR.

Response:

Ms. [redacted],

I am truly sorry for the experience you have had with our store here. I can assure you that we are all trained professionals and care heavily about every and all customers that we have. I can understand your frustration with the oil leaks on your car. It is common pro-call to start with oil leak repairs from the leak this is nearest to the top of the motor. Without you still owning the car and it being unable for me to look at it is hard for me to fully investigate this whole situation. Car's do have multiple place's that they can leak oil from, and sometimes repairing a leak could put pressure on the next weakest spot of the system. I am sorry your car had these problems, as the Store Manager here I work hard everyday to make sure myself and my staff are doing the best we can to address all of our customers needs. I am sorry you have a bad experience with us prior to myself taking over the store. I hope you can accept my apology.

Sincerely,

Evans Tire [redacted]

Review: We had the front brakes replaced and other repairs done on this vehicle. The first time we drove the vehicle to La Mesa RV to have the refrigerator worked on the brakes locked and burned out due to a pin that was improperly lubricated. Of course we were thankful we had not gone on a trip to find out the brakes were faulty and our life in danger. La Mesa RV fixed the problem and we just want to be reimbursed for the work La Mesa RV did to fix the brakes that were faulty due to the work done by Evans Tire. The bill came to $800.Desired Settlement: We want Evans Tire to pay for the repairs that La Mesa RV did to fix the problem. This could have resulted in an accident with much more dire problems to address. We want to be reimbursed for the repair work that amounted to $800.

Review: Evans Tires sells tires and with the tires comes a warranty, they have more than one time taken advantage of this situation and NOT honor their warranty and they have no integrity, I purchased tires that have a 40,000 mile warranty against defects and 6 years against cracks we took them in because of horrible shaking on the front tires like they are going to fall off only for them to tell us they will not touch our car unless we buy new tires. How do they know there tires don't have problems on them if they don't check them? or better yet how do they explain the crack? they don't all they can tell me is they can offer to sell me more new tires and then I have to pay for a new warranty!!!! that is what I would consider false advertising, I have been doing business and have gotten upset before but this is the LAST straw we will not return to this business nor will any of our family.Desired Settlement: Make good on their warranty offers. stop false advertising!!! Let people know how their warranties really work and that before they spend the $9.50 per tire that it really is a waste of money to even bother but to just watch and make sure your tires are inflated correctly and have them rotated regualarly.

Regards,

Review: I have taken my vehicle to this location on several occasions where I was seeking new tires through a special that was being advertised. My 1st issue was that I made an appointment for 5pm and my car was not seen for an hour 1/2 later. Forcing me to miss an appointment that I scheduled later that evening. After receiving brand new front tires, after 3 weeks, my front drivers side tire became flat. After having my car towed, I returned to so that I may receive either a new tire or have the tire repaired. The tire was repaired or so I was told. After being assured that the tire was repaired, 1 month later the tire was flat again! I had to take my tire back to this location and I was not only told what the problem was wit the tire, but was assured that the tire was repaired and that there would be no more issues. After 2 months, I now have another flat tire and it's the same tire that I was assured that was taken care of and that will not have any further issues. After complaining to the Manager and the district manager and trying to resolve the issue by receiving a service rather than a refund, this request was refused. Now I want a full refund of only what I paid initially which was a approximately 130-150 dollars. I would like to attempt to resolve this matter prior to any possible litigation.Desired Settlement: All I want is a full refund of my initial payment to Evans tires for lack luster service and repeated service issues relating to servicing my tires. This has caused massive inconveniences that I would like resolved through a refund.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.I would like to confirm that this matter has been closed. I have spoken with the VP of the day to day operations of Evans Tire and I am happy to say that he was very gracious in acknowledging my grievance and offering a solution that met my satisfaction. Although I regret having to involve him, I very much appreciated Mr. [redacted]'s (VP of Operations) various attempts to reach out to resolve the matter during many times of not being able to connect. At the time that we were able to connect via Phone, he was able to resolve the matter in a matter of 10 minutes.

I've been going to the Evan's tire & Service Centers for over seven years. Specifically the Chula Vista location on Broadway. I feel obligated to take my car there because that's where I bought my tires. I routinely go there to get my tires aligned, rotated & balanced. While I'm there I allow them to inspect my vehicle. It has gotten to the point that I can not trust a word they say when it come to my car needing repairs. I now make it a habit of not getting any work done there and getting their "evaluations" double checked by trusted mechanics. I have a long list of negative discrepancies on their behalf.

Example One

I've taken my car in there for rotation, alignment & balance. Five days later I take it to the dealer for an unrelated problem and they car me over. The car was lifted up and they showed my how uneven and worn out my tires were. The car was literally at a Evan's "Tire" & service center days before and no one noticed this. I went back to Evans and they said, yes, you need new tires.

Example Two

My wife's car needed a transmission flush, I called Evan's and asked how. I received a quote and told them that I'll be right in to get it done. Due to some errands that had to be run, we were in another part of town near another Evan's Tire Center, we decided to get the work done there instead. The bill was close to $50 more, I couldn't understand why. I had the service associate call the location that gave me the and he modified the price. What the hell is going on here, I felt as though he was trying to rip me off.

Example Three

I go to get my tires rotated, aligned & balanced. Evan's tire's associate tells me I need new shocks & struts and brake pads & rotors. During this time I had befriended a retired mechanic. He tells me to buy the parts and he'll help me install them. After buying the parts and removing the my mechanic friend ask me if my car bounces, if it shakes or trembles. I reply no. He tells me that the shocks & struts aren't leaking and they look perfectly well. Having already bought them I replaced them. I contacted Evan's and they said "oh, we suggested it because of the miles." The same thing happened with the pads and rotors. The pads still had a good amount of padding left on them and the rotors were fine. Like the shocks and struts, I already had the parts so I just replaced them.

Example Four

Last month I had the oil changed on my wife's car and mine. Then I took it to Evan's tires to get the wheels balanced, aligned, and rotated. They told me that my wife's needed all new rotors and pads and that I needed new rotors and pads in the rear. Now, I blame myself because I obviously hadn't learned my lesson. With the stress from a new job, and new baby, I went online and ordered all the parts needed. I then ask my mechanic friend to help me replace them. My wife's rotors, all even, not cracked or warped. The only thing she needed was new shoes in the rear, there was so much padding in the front and they were even. I have no idea how Evan's tire and service center got to there conclusion. It also turned out that I only needed new pads on the rear of my car. I called Evan's and asked them about it. The guy got very defensive, began to tell me how its different for ever mechanic, spoke about specks and how what he quoted were only recommendations. It was a lot of BS.

After the last issue I left a yelp review and the manager at the Broadway location began repeatedly calling me, almost to the level of harassment. I'm so sick and tired of their lies. Do yourself a favor and avoid them like the plague.

Review: Took my Truck to Evans Tire and Service Center so they could replace Brakes, Routers and the Fluid

Bottle and house because of leaks. It was older model Range Rover so they it would be expensive

so the the total bill was close to $1200.00.

The vehicle was dropped of on a Thursday and initally picked up on that following Friday. The vehicle

overheated in 10 mintues. Which I had to be helped on off the road by the local police department. When

I looked under the hood one of the Mechanics tools was left inside!

Called Evans and stated what happen. Didn't drive the vehicle all weekend and took it back on Monday

which they kept until Tuesday. Well, the same thing happen, vehicle overheated and this time the

Engine Cover was missing!

Told evans that the vehicle was not overheating when I bought it in and even with the needed repairs

it still do this. They said there is no more we can do and take it to a specialist. I had the vehicle

towed and when the specialist did look at the vehicle they informed that the "is" did plug

the exhaust fan back in and thats 101 of auto repair.

Wrote them a letter and because of the car rental cost, towing and service charge I was out

of over $500. What did Evans say about this? That it was noted my vehicle has other issues

before repair and their incompetence had nothing to do with the problems of the overheating.

Offer me $125 and told me to kick rocks.

All which is a bunch of [redacted] when it was stated by the Specialist that all they had to do was

plug in the fan. To make it worse is that is place was recommend for Veterans and I thought

being a disabled combat vet they would take care of me - thought wrong. I will proceed in

getting what is owed to the best of my abilites, that I will do.

P.S. The one positive was [redacted] who is one of the store managers that is as STAND UP as

they come. He offered his own personal vehicle one of the days so I could make my VA Appointments.Desired Settlement: $527.80 in towing, renting a car and additional mechanic cost. They were provided all of these receipts.

Review: First thing I did was call around to 3 different tire sales and service centers to get quotes for the tires I wanted to purchase. The phone number I called was ###-###-####, A man by the name [redacted] gave me a quote that was about the same price as their competitors and that he could have the tires at the Jamacha location within one day. I choose to go to them simply because they were closest to my home and again was quoted a competitive cost for the tires I wanted. So I proceeded to bring my truck in to Evans Tires. I spoke to [redacted] at the Jamacha location and purchased 4 top of the line Michelin tires for my 2006 Toyota Tacoma. Upon bringing my truck to them, the tire pressure light was on. I asked if that was something they could do to make the tire pressure light go off. They told me yes. Upon picking up the truck I noticed the light was still on. I was told by [redacted] that I needed to drive the truck for 2 miles and the light would go off. So I did drive the truck for at least 20 miles and the light did not go off. So I called [redacted] at Evans, at the original number I called and explained the situation. He informed me that the Jamacha location does have the scanner tool on site to diagnose the problem and that he would need to have their tire delivery truck drop one off one at the Jamacha location. So I called [redacted] at the Jamacha location and made an appointment to have it fixed. Upon arrival they used the scanner tool to diagnose the problem and [redacted] told me I had two tire pressure sensors that needed to be replaced. I said no problem go ahead and order them and I would be happy to pay to have them installed and that I just wanted the problem fixed. He told me it would be much cheaper and would take less time for me to go and purchase the two sensors at a car parts store myself. So I drove to Orieys auto parts store and purchased two new sensors. I then took it back to [redacted]. They then proceeded to install the two new sensors they said were bad and then used their scanner tool to try and reset the tire sensor warning light. After I waited for about 3 to 4 hours [redacted] then told me he needed to have me bring the truck back the next day and leave it there to get the problem fixed. So I dropped off the truck at around 10:00am the following day. At around 5:30pm that day he told me he could not figure out the problem and I would need to bring the truck back the next day so he could fix it. So I brought the truck back the next day at around 9:00am and received a call around 4:00pm from [redacted] stating they still could not fix the problem and that the Toyota dealer has a special tool that is needed to fix the problem. I found that odd but said ok I will do that. The next day I decided to stop by Discount tires and explained the nature of the problem. They immediately hooked up their scanner and reset the tire pressure warning light within 10 minutes. I asked what I owed him for doing this and he said no charge. This was done at Discount tires 2887 Jamacha Rd in El Cajon by [redacted] Henderson ###-###-####. The next day the tire sensor light came back on again. So I then stopped back by the Discount tire location and [redacted] proceeded to hook up the scanner tool again and he told me and showed me on their computer that their were two sensors that need to be replaced. So he told me he could order the two sensors and install them the following day. I should note that the sensors cost me $55.00 each at Orileys. [redacted] quoted me the price for two sensors at $60ea. I then called [redacted] back at the original phone number at Evans to let him know I was not a very pleased customer. He informed me that the situation was over his head and that he would need to have [redacted] the district manager call me. So [redacted] called and I explained the situation to him. He at first offered to cover the cost of the charge I would be paying to have Discount Tire fix the problem Evans told me they could fix in the first place. Which at that time I was told by Discount Tire would be aprox $126.00 I said fair enough and thank you for telling me you will at least cover the $126.00 to have Discount Tire remedy the problem that they should have been able to fix in the first place. I should mention I called Toyota of El Cajon and they told me there is no special tool to fix this type of issue I was having and that Evans Tires should have the resources like Toyota and like Discount Tires does to remedy the problem. So the next morning I got a call from Evans district manager [redacted]. He told me that he spoke to [redacted] the manager at Evans and [redacted] told him that he never told me to go purchase the sensors from another vendor and that they agreed they were just trying to do me a favor to remedy my issue and that I was being unreasonable to expect them to fix the problem. Flat out lie.He also told me I wasnt in the right by purchasing my two sensors from Orileys even after [redacted] at Evans told me to go buy two sensors for they would be cheaper and that it would be faster this way to do so, especially since I had my truck at their facility for 2 whole days and for 3 to 4 hours on another day. He then offered me $40 for my trouble after he had promised to make good on the $126.00 I was being charged by Discount Tires. He then informed me that the cost of each sensor through Evans was $176.00ea. I found that odd. That is quite a mark up. I thought maybe he was giving me a quote for all 5 sensors. He said no thats what we charge for 1 of those sensors. He also told me that he knew my truck was going into Discount tire the following day and that I assumed Discount could fix the issue. I said to him...No I never said they were going to fix the problem and that maybe we should wait to see if Discount could fix it to come to a fair agreement at that point in time. He then told me over and over that the problem was never their responsibility to fix in the first place and that no matter if Discount could remedy the problem or not he was willing to give me $40 towards my cost at Discount even after he had told me he would cover the $126 at Discount Tire. So I explained to him that I have lost all faith in Evans Tires and would never come back to them again. Needles to say I was shocked that this was being handled so poorly by Evans. So [redacted] at Discount Tires called the following day and said that the sensors were in and I could come back in anytime to have them installed. So I did and they installed them and reset the tire pressure warning light within and hour. When I went to pay for the service and the two new sensors [redacted] at Discount charged me $40ea for the two sensors(I have the reciept to prove it) bringing the total to $86.40 and no charge for labor. [redacted] at Evans also told me that Orileys sold me the wrong sensors and I need to find sensors with the same ID numbers as the originals. Which was not true because the two sensors I bought from Orileys were the exact ones Discount Tire installed and they are in the truck and working fine. For me this wasn't about the money. It was about the very very poor service and business practice that Evans provided to me. It was more about the time I wasted dealing with Evans Tires as well as the lies I was told. And the lie I was told by the district manager [redacted] and that he told me he would cover the $126.00 and went back on his word and said take the $40.00 or leave it.After being treated rudely on the phone with this so called district manager [redacted] for 20 minutes I had,had enough. It was evident to me that this is how Evans Tires conducts business. One last point. I should mention when I purchased the 4 tires for my truck I also purchased 4 Michelin tires for my wife"s car, bringing the total cost to almost $2000.00. I was hoping to receive good service as promised. This was not the case with Evans Tires.Desired Settlement: It would be nice to have the $86.40 I paid Discount Tires refunded, but again this is not about the money I paid out. Its about the very poor service I received and the lies I was told by not only [redacted] the manager at Evans Tires but the district manager [redacted] at Evans Tires. Thank you

Review: My daughter [redacted] took my 2004 Ford Explore to have all 4 tires changed at Evans Tires. [redacted] dropped off the car at Evens Tires couple of hours later she get a call from Evens they tell her they have to put lug nuts on all 4 tires. When [redacted] get to the shop she calls me and says mom come to Evens your car has been damaged.. When I got there I saw my hood messed up and the right side of door damage, the door could not be open at the time. I asked what had happen and manager said as the car was was driven in to change the tire the tire flew off and damaged the hood and the right door.. I said at 4-5 miles an hour to put car in to have tires change this happened I said no I don't think so, I said I believe my car was dropped from the lift or from where ever to put the cars at to change the tires and that's how this happened.. I then said my car was damage here at your shop there fore its your liability insurance that has to fix my car manager said no you have to call your insurance and so I did.. my insurance denied to fix my car, Ronald Inton from sterling Casualty Insurance said " your car was under the "Care and Custody" of a repair facility/tire shop and the loss occurred while in the "care and custody of the tire shop that should pay for the repairs. did not get any where with any one..this is why i'm seeking your help. a couple of days after my car was damage my engine light came on as well and my car know has not been running the same..Evans Tires should be accountable for the damages. Please help me to fix my care.Desired Settlement: I want Evens Tires to repair my hood and my right door they damage while changing my tires. I took my car to get an estimate to repair it, its was going to be 1,600-1,700.

Response:

Customer [redacted] dropped her car off at our Vista location. We began to pull her car into our bay area, and before it made it into the bay completely, her wheel fell off. We visually examined her car to see if we could spot out what caused this, and the tech concluded that she not only had the wrong lug nuts on her vehicle, but the wrong studs as well. Do to the fact that we never worked on her car, we explained to [redacted] that this is something she will need to go thru with her insurance. She then did go to her insurance and they denied her request. We were very apologetic that we were not able to help her fix her vehicle, but we did not want to be reliable for her vehicle when she clearly had modifications done to it. In response to her check engine light being on, we do not inspect engine lights.

Review: On june 20th I purchased a thrust alignment for my [redacted] hardbody truck. This comes with a 90 day 3000 mile warranty. I was not informed at this time that several critical parts of my front suspension were worn past use. They continued to do the alignment( which I was later informed that they shouldnt not have done). I then brought in my truck on the 9th of july to the same shop and spoke with the manager. When I told him that my trucks alignment had not held within the warranty, he began asking me how I could know that, and telling me that that he would not then align my truck because the suspension was blown and would not hold it. He also said he would not align my truck because I had a tool box mounted in the back and that there had to be no weight in the bed. So I left and decided I would rather have my money back since I did not recieve the service&warranty I had purchased. When I returned on the 11th and asked for my money back I was told they would not give it back. Instead, the manager changed his tone and told me he could in fact realign my truck but that it would not hold due to the blown suspension parts. I did not want to buy an alignment that would not last, which I why I bought one with a warranty in the first place, but instead I was sold a lie. And lies are Non refundable at evans tires.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back because I did not get what I paid for.

Review: On November 21, 2014, I went to Evans Tires to have my service checked because I needed to drive to Fresno the same day. [redacted] is the manager and he is the one that I was working with. At the time of my visit I spent $915.00 on new tires, tune-up, and additional maintenance. I arrived at Evans at about 10:30 AM and I left around 2:00 PM and got right on the freeway to Fresno. The distance from Evans Tires to my destination in Fresno is 350 miles. About one-third of the way there (roughly 116 miles), the TPMS indicator light came on. I called my mother because I could not find the number to Evans Tires and I had her call them. She said someone told her that I probably ran over a nail and that I should pull over to check it out which I was going to do anyway since the light came on. When I stopped at the nearest gas station, I had to put air in the tire because the tire pressure was only at 20 when it was supposed to be 32. I jumped back on the freeway and I drove another third of the way there (another 116 miles) and the light came on again. I again stopped at the nearest gas station to put air in the tire. This allowed me to make it to Fresno. When I arrived in Fresno, it was 10:30 PM. The next morning (Saturday, November 22, 2014), the tire was completely flat so I was not able to drive my car at all. The next day, (Sunday, November 23, 2014) my friends husband put the spare tire on so I could drive my car to the nearest Pep Boys. They repaired the tire for $29.99 but gave me a discount for $19.99 so I only ended up paying $10.00. I drove the entire way from Fresno to San Diego with no issues.

When I returned to San Diego, I took the car back to Evans Tires and they were not very helpful. They took the car back to inspect the tire but it had already been repaired to it did not make a difference. When I told the guys I wanted a refund for the tire they told me to wait for [redacted] to get there because he would be able to "hook it up" since he was the manager.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the tires because I was given a defective product.

Review: Brought our brand new [redacted] 03JUL15 with new after[redacted]et wheels to have tires installed on them. Instead, they removed the factory tires and installed the new tires on the factory OEM wheels. [redacted] said they would correct the issue in 30minutes, but shortly later [redacted] informed us the technician gouged one of the new after[redacted]et wheels and advised us to leave the car overnight and speak with the store manager [redacted]. 04JUL15, [redacted] apologized and said Evan’s Tire would compensate me for the damaged after[redacted]et wheel and provide free road hazard warranties for the new tires. Upon arriving for pickup, inspection of the factory wheels revealed that all 4 OEM wheels had been damaged. [redacted] offered to have the wheels reconditioned to the OEM finish for no charge assuring me that I would not be able to tell the difference from new. I accepted under the condition that OEM quality and finish would be achieved. Upon inspection 25JUL15 the OEM wheels were improperly repaired w/areas of uneven paint applied and surfaces that were not supposed to be painted, including the lug hole seat surfaces which is known to cause lug nuts to loosen. I proposed my desired settlement below, and [redacted] ended up putting me in contact with district manager [redacted]. [redacted] contacted me on 27JUL15 and 28JUL15 and I was met with skepticism and unreceptiveness by attempting to convince me that I’ve already been compensated and that Evan’s Tire has already fulfilled their responsibility by having the wheels reconditioned. He stated the wheels were not bad and no one is going to look that closely at them. I explained I was only compensated for the one after[redacted]et wheel that they damaged in the earlier incident and re-iterated my proposed settlement to him. [redacted] said he would only give me a total of $450 and I take the wheels as-is, or they make a second repair attempt and that I go myself to oversee the reconditioning process. I informed [redacted] that this is unacceptable.Desired Settlement: Evan’s Tire replace the new factory OEM wheels they damaged with new ones from Ford since their repair attempt was improperly completed and permanently altered the condition of the wheel from its New state, OR I will settle for Evan’s Tire to compensate me for the damaged OEM wheels at $450 per wheel which is the average rate for reconditioned wheels readily available.

Response:

Hi [redacted], In regards to the complaint made by [redacted], we offered to send the wheels back to [redacted] and have them recoated again to fix the scratches as the damage is completely fixable. Or, we offered him $450.00 and he can sign a Settlement Agreement and Release of Claims as that is what the wheel company was going to charge us to fix the damage. This offer is final and was made to him yesterday as of about 4PM and we have not heard back from the customer yet. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Evan's Tire's business response to my complaint submission is simply restating what [redacted] already proposed on 28JUL15, of which I already declined. I included my rejection of that proposal in my initial complaint submission, and my rejection of said proposal remains unchanged. Evan's Tire already attempted repair by convincing me there would be no observable difference between the repaired wheels and the brand new condition the wheels were in when I brought them. However, their failed and unprofessional attempt proved that the repaired wheels do not equate to the brand new condition or value the wheels were in prior to Evan's Tire damaging them through their negligence. Evan's Tire was specifically instructed not to perform any tire removal operations on the factory wheels, and they ignored my instruction and the repair order and damaged the wheels during the process.Evan's Tire has burdened me by causing a permanent diminution in value of my wheels. I am entitled to either the retail replacement value of the wheels, or brand new replacement wheels from Ford. However, I am willing to settle for Evan's Tire to compensate me for the reduced value of $450 each wheel caused by their negligent actions. I also want to highlight that Evan's Tire has practiced compensation for damaged products, including wheels, in the past so their claim that they do not is a fallacy. If we are at am impasse, then I will move forward with a small claims adjudication.

Response:

Hi [redacted], Mr. [redacted]’s 4 wheels are still at our store. We either need to send the wheels back to [redacted] to have them recoated or he needs to pick the wheels up by the end of the day today, per our agreement. Our offer stands and is final. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Thank you, [redacted]Evans Tire & Service Centers/Tag MotorsportsOffice Administrator/Customer Service[redacted]Ph. Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

There is no agreement between myself and Evan's Tire to remove the wheels by the end of today. Evan's Tire did not establish or provide terms for removal of my wheels upon their acceptance of my personal property into their care, custody, and control. In addition, on 25JUL15 Evan's Tire Store Manager at the Poway location, [redacted] requested I leave the wheels with him at that location until a resolution is made. The wheels remain in the care, custody, and control of Evan's Tire. If Evan's Tire wishes to place the wheels under another party's care while the dispute is settled, they may contact me directly to make arrangements and we can agree on a reasonable amount of time to do so. Continued implications Evan's Tire makes that it is not responsible for my personal property and subsequent threat of ambiguous circumstances for not accepting delivery of the wheels today is noted as an aggressive attempt to circumvent their responsibility.

Review: [redacted] at the service desk had guaranteed my veichle fixed and ready by the end of business day on 1/31/2016 by 1600. I took my car in at 1149 and explained to [redacted] I do not live far was visiting in the area but would like my tire fixed and/or repaired as it was still under warranty. I also explained to him that I did not want to make my drive home on a spare tire. He promised the veichle will be ready to go and will call me within 2-3 hours. About 1500 I called the facility back and was ready to make me way home but they explained that my car was not yet ready and will call me. At 1548 [redacted] called and spoke to explained that he would need to keep the veichle over night as they could not fix or repair the tire. He then explained that driving on the spare would be fine and ok, but I I live 60 miles away to make the drive in the rain with my family. Upon [redacted] speaking to us his monotone was very condescending and lack of customer service. He then asked "What we would like him to do?" And a simple reply if fix our tire was given. He then name aggressive and explained to us to take our business closer. My veichle and time was held to 4 hours and their value in which customer service is #1 is false. Upon picking up my be hike [redacted] was even more rude and had no sense of customer service left in his bones.Desired Settlement: Repair my tire and explanation for a 4 hour wait if nothing was done to my car.

Response:

We have contacted this customer and have given them a $50.00 credit towards any future tire and/or service purchase for customer satisfaction. The customer is happy and the issue has been resolved.

Review: Brought my [redacted] in for a belt change, and a noise in the back wheel (which was the bearing which they had fixed not too long ago and it had gone bad) and while repairing it they ended up damaging the engine. They broke all 8 valves, nicked the pistons and where the valves are seated, the head had some chips where the valves hit. Evan's tire only offered a 90 day warranty when the damage done lessens the life of the vehicle by a surmountable degree, but mostly likely more than just a few months before it breaks again. Valve ring condition unknown. If the car cannot be repaired to the condition in which I brought it in for service, I wish to be compensated for the fair value of my car.

While this matter is resolved, I have no personal transportation for getting back and forth to work or in case of emergency and they were unable to acquire a rental. The representative that assisted me said I'm to look for a car and they'll reimburse me only up to 35 dollars a day. I am under 25 and anything I rent will be more than, thus leaving me to foot the remainder of the bill for an issue I didn't cause.Desired Settlement: Vehicle is repaired to condition in which I brought to for them for service. i.e. non-cracked head, non nicked pistons, etc.

Or if unable to do so, be given fair value for the vehicle along with full reimbursement of rental purchase.

Hi [redacted], We have repaired the vehicle at no charge to the customer and he picked it up last night, 6/23/15.
