Review: I ordered 2 texts from this company in august 2014 for the upcoming fall semester for my 2 sons. 1 Algebra with math lab, and 1 Digital systems. From the order onset thru today, the company has not met their end of the agreement. The texts were to arrive in 7-10 business days. 3 weeks later we still had not received them. When we did receive the math text, they had sent us the instructor's edition without the required math lab. Imagine sending my son to a college class with the instructors edition with the answers in it. The digital text , I received an e mail from the company on the 12th of Sept saying the book will arrive in a few days. I had to contact my credit card company and received a refund from my CC company and had to re purchase the books for classes that were already in session. After many emails to this company, their phone message is always full and no real person will ever call you back, I still could not get any satisfaction from this company. They keep sending me e mails stating they are going to charge me for the books if I don't return them. The books were mailed back to them with their own shipping label and received at their address on Nov 8th 2014. And yet they are still sending me emails requesting the books back. I have sent several emails asking them to re check their end and to stop emailing me to no avail. They have no business being in business.Desired Settlement: Stop emailing me. They should also have to reimburse my credit card company the money for fraudulent business practices. This is by far the worst company we have ever had to deal with.I will be really upset if in fact this company should try to charge my credit card for the full amount of the books which I have sent back to them. Good luck trying to talk to an actual person there. Their email stated they will get back to you in 24 hours. It normally takes 3 to 4 days.

Hello,The books has been received back at our end and the order has been closed.

Review: On the dates of 10/27 and 10/31, I sold a total of 8 textbooks to Everytext.com and received a buyback quote for them, which totaled $818.88. I sent my textbooks to them via USPS, using prepaid shipping labels, in two seperate shipments. I received confirmation of delivery for both shipments from USPS online. These shipments were sent within the specified timeframe I was given when I received the buyback quotes. I never received any confirmation from Everytext.com that my shipments had been received, nor did I receive any information regarding the payment I was quoted for my books. I contacted them via email and through a message delivery portal on their website on numerous occations, in regards to my textbook buyback orders. They never replied to any of my emails or messages. I attempted to call them at the contact number provided on their website and received an automated message stating that they were not receiving calls at the time. I also attempted to reach them at the number posted here with the Revdex.com, however my calls went unanswered. I contacted them as another prospective seller via email a few days later, and received a response, however after I revealed who I was, the replies ended and no further contact was made on their part. I have exhausted nearly all possibilities in receiving my payment due for selling them my textbooks, and haven't made any progress. It feels as though my textbooks were stolen through illegal business practice and the only thing I can do after this attempt is to take legal action against them to receive the money that I am owed.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive payment for my 8 textbooks, which totals $818.88.

Hello,We apologize for the delay in processing your sellback order. We have received thousands of books at this time which is causing the delay.. I will look into your order and get back to you no later than Monday, Dec 8th regarding the status of your sell back order.

Review: Contacted this company several times in 2 weeks to return this rented text. Was unable to print return label (from any computer on several occasions) to ship book back at end of rental period. Started contacting them in July for a rental due back Aug. 18. Received ONLY 1 REPLY! The lame reply stated that they were not aware of any "technical" issues but had their team working on it. Was STILL unable to ever print any label for return, get any answers on WHERE to ship the return and made several attempts to reach them by email and phone. NO REPLY!!!! I shipped the book back Media Mail and paid for it (it was supposed to have been included in the rental fee) and had tracking. Tracking does not show it accepted. We are going to pursue this through AMEX card as well as this was a clear failure to honor the contract agreement for the rental! Will NEVER use again and have tried to put our experience out there to protect others. TERRIBLE BUSINESS ETHICS HERE!Desired Settlement: REFUND....paid out of pocket to return and wasted over 2 weeks of efforts to resolve this!

Review: In April 2014, I rented a book for a college class from Everytext.com. The book never showed up. However, I was able to email the company and they sent out another book immediately. I then rented 2 books on June 22, 2014. The books never showed up. I emailed the company again. This time they said they would look into it and get back to me in 24 hours. After 4 days, they have not gotten back to me and are not returning any of my emails to atleast provide some kind of update. I have tried calling the phone number listed on their website and the number the Revdex.com has, but I cannot get ahold of them. I am now through the second week of my accelerted college classes, which only last 9 weeks. They have already taken my payment. I am now forced to find these books from another company. Additionally, I am unable to accomplish any of the work in my classes at this time. Everytext.com's inability to provide their service sufficiently or even update me is causing my grade to suffer.Desired Settlement: I am planning to rent these books from another company. I expect a full refund for failure to provide me with services offered. If the books end up arriving at my address at any point, I will promptly return them. Thank you.

Hello,

The books were shipped out with tracking 9449[redacted]599903528 through the USPS. However, we are unable to track the shipment online. Assuming that the package is heavily delayed or lost, we have refunded your payment in full for this order. Please accept our sincere apologies for this incident.

My son rented a book from this company that shows it shipped 8/12/14 but as of today there is still no book so I had to rent him a textbook from another company. Trying to resolve the issue has been ridiculous. They didn't send a tracking number and both my son and I have tried to explain this to them, of course through email because they don't answer the phone, but their response is that they can refund the money when we return the book. Now how can I return a book I didn't receive? I order off the internet all the time and I have never experienced anything like this.

Review: I ordered a textbook from Everytext.com for $22.00 on 10/29/14 and was informed that it would be shipped within 7-10 business days. I did not receive it. On 11/14/14 I emailed them since there is no telephone number. They promised to refund the money to my bank account. It is a week later and still no refund. They are blaming my bank, however, the bank reassured me that no refund was submitted to them.Desired Settlement: I would like my $22 refund as soon as possible.

Response:

Hello,We have thoroughly checked our payment gateway and I can confirm once again that a refund of $22.00 was sent to your VISA credit card (NOT your bank account). Please check your credit card statement once again and confirm that a refund was indeed received. You may also call us directly at ###-###-#### to discuss this issue further.

Review: I have been waiting on 2 refunds totaling over $130 for over a week now. I placed an order on Aug. 26th for 2 textbooks, both of them arrived over the promised 10 days, and one of them was not as advertised (did not include my WP access code as the order stated). Their site does not offer a phone #, only email, which takes them days to respond IF they respond...seems they only respond to emails that you have not presented a problem to them, otherwise it goes unanswered. I did rcv an email stating I would be charged a 15% restocking fee if I send it to the wrong address, which is unbelievable because it came days after I needed that info AND was never told that initially. The site mentions sending it to a certain address for rental date returns, NOTHING about refund returns or a 15% restocking fee...PLUS the orders I got were late and one wrong..I should NOT be charged this fee. At this point, I am not sure when I'm getting my refund back, this is financial aid money that I trusted this company with and I feel it has been stolen from me. I have never dealt with a company like this or EVER had this much trouble, especially with that amount of money. Now I have stress over this...no $ and no textbooks, which has gotten me considerably behind in my classes.Desired Settlement: I want my refunds for the 2 books I returned, I have tracking #s stating they were received over a week ago....and I do NOT feel I should be charged a 15% restocking fee after the trouble I have been submitted to.

Hello,

Review: I purchased four texts from everytext.com on the 26th of April, 2013, but have only received three of those texts. These books were paid for at the time of purchase, using my bank debit/credit card. The seller received payment immediately. I have made over six attempts to contact the seller so they may remedy the issue and they have yet to do so. I have sent emails, faxes, and more emails, as there is not a contact number listed on the website, these have been my only options. I would like either my text sent out immediately, or a refund returned to me in the amount of $18.68. I am now two weeks into a summer semester of graduate school, and not having this text has placed me significantly behind.Thank you,Santa S. RowleyDesired Settlement: I would like the book sent out immediately, overnighted if possible, or a speedy return placed on my bank card.

Hello,

As per our warehouse, your book was shipped out last week and if you do not get the book latest by tomorrow (Wednesday, May 22nd) we will either resend you another copy or refund your payment in full. Please let me know at [email protected] if the book does not show up by tomorrow.

I ordered a textbook from everytext.com. I did not receive the book and when I asked for refund, the company has stopped responding to my emails. First few times they asked me to check with my bank, and my bank confirmed that no refund has been issued. Its been close to 2 months now. Everytext has not been responsive to customers complaints. I have lost $31.78. Please do not order your books from here. It has been a frustrating experience. I did not receive the book and plus there is no trace of refund anywhere.

Review: On April 24, 2014, I received an email stating that Everytext.com had sold my textbook, Understanding Food Science and Technology (order #8508). At this time, I had a death in the family and was out of town. The buyer contacted me and I notified them of the situation. I told them that I would be sending out the book when I got back into town. I did not receive another email from the buyer until I emailed them to notify them that the book had been shipped and provided them with a tracking number. The buyer again emailed to ask if I had sent the book to their daughter's address. I informed them of the address that was provided on the order. They again emailed and told me to have a wonderful weekend. I never heard from the buyer again. After waiting several weeks for payment, I contacted Everytext.com and received a response on June 11, 2014 that I needed to contact the buyer because they had told Everytext.com that I would be issuing a refund. They told me I had 48 hours to respond. I forwarded all emails to Everytext.com between the buyer and myself. I never received a response from Everytext.com. I again emailed Everytext.com on June 23, 2014 to find out the status of my payment. I have not heard back. Additionally, the phone number provided in the Contact Us listing is unreachable. The buyer never asked me for a refund or stated that they were dissatisfied with the textbook.Desired Settlement: I would like my payment to be issued. I feel that due to this long drawn out process, the Commission fees should be waived. I have not been able to have any contact with an employee at Everytext.com and I am not getting any answers. I have waited two months for my payment only to be told that the buyer stated I was going to issue a refund. I have forwarded all contact with the buyer and the buyer does not respond to my contact attempts.

Hello,

Your seller payment has been issued as of today. The payment was issued via PayPal. Please note that as per our seller policies, every new seller must wait for 4 payment periods before their first payment is issued. This is to ensure buyer safety and site integrity. Once your first seller payment has been issued, future seller payments are issued as per the bi-monthly schedule. Please email se[redacted][email protected] if you have any further questions.

Review: This company rented me a psychology book with the promise of a NEW Access Card Package for the online portion of the book. The exact description of the product was "Psychology (paperback) and NEW MyPsychLab with Pearson eText Valuepack Access Card Package (3rd Edition)". When I rented this, I did so for the Access Card Package, but when I actually received the book (many days after when the company said I would get it), there was no Access Card Package to be found. I tried contacting them, but the only method of contact was email and every time I tried to voice my complaint, the company responded with a quote from their rental policy: "Rental books may or may not include all ancillaries as issued by the publisher (CD's, DVD's, Online Access Codes, etc). You may use these ancillaries but they must be returned along with the book once your rental period is over. Please note that online access codes may be previously used and may not be useable again in some cases." The company offered to take the book back, but because of their slow shipping and lack of customer service, returning the book would cause me to fail my psychology course. I feel if they were going to abide by this policy, they should not claim to be selling/renting more than they actually are.Desired Settlement: Since I was paying specifically for the book WITH the access card package, and I didn't get that, I was put in danger of failing my class and I had to find other ways to get what I had already paid for initially. I feel as though I should be refunded for the purchase as it was not what I had paid for originally.

Response:

Dear Sir/Madam,

The buyer was asked to return the book in September for a refund of his payment. however, he did not send it back then and instead is returning the book at the end of the semester. The tracking number shows that the book was put in the mail on January 4rth. Given the fact that the book was used for the entire semester; we are unable to refund his payment for this rental order. On the other hand, the title of the book is set by the publishers. But due to the very nature of the textbook rental business, textbooks are previously used and the access codes are most certainly used/unavailable. This is true for every marketplace and not just Everytext.com.
