Nothing but a Costly Scam!
Exclusive Platinum Travel is nothing but a costly scam. I signed a contract on Feb 2, 2020 contingent on their ending my membership with Bluegreen Travel which after 12 years of membership has become too demanding for our travel capabilities. This service cost an additional $1400. It is now Nov, 30, 2020. The only contact I have had with them is on August 28 I received a call from Brandon Oliver, a rep of theirs who was at first very rude but in the end promised swift action on the removal from Bluegreen. The only reason he called was to complain about my filing a complaint with BBB and get me to remove said complaint which I did based on his promise of quick action. Nothing has happened since. I have received another annual bill from Bluegreen which I will have to pay. When small claims courts are again in session, I plan on suing EPT for the total $7500 spent on this scam. I wanted to check with the attorney they employed to address the problem. They cannot give me any info due to confidentiality...even though I paid $1400. Avoid them like they were nuclear waste unless you want to experience many unnecessary problems.

Company is a scam!
Attended a seminar in Charleston, SC for Exclusive Platinum Travel. Reluctantly agreed to platinum travel membership after being guaranteed in writing of refund if EPT was unable to save us the entire purchase price amount within 5 years and given 2 free weeks by Mike D. Still feeling uneasy about the transaction, I called the office back to cancel and both Mike D and Patrick W guaranteed the legitimacy of the company and that they were not previously TCI as well as their credibility; which is worthless. I was even given what they called a "specialist", that would be assigned to us personally to address any concerns and help us through the process of planning our first trip. Serena Von A from Exclusive Platinum Travel Bookings and support
(800-578-9487 ext XX) worked with us to plan our first trip. However, the rental we wanted was only available on VRBO and she said that if we booked it directly through her, we would receive a $269.00 rebate. That was in March 2020 and in between we had spoken to both Mike D and Patrick W regarding issues getting information and confirmation of the trip that we had paid Serena for scheduling, which we later found out, all the information we were suppose to receive went to her personal email address and not ours. We have never seen the check or heard from her again regarding the rebate or a response to our last email from 8/3/2020. I have tried to reach Mike D via both text and VM at the cell #843-864-9041 he had given to me as well as the office #'s 843-501-0055 which disconnected and 800-210-5783 which is a perpetual VM box. I have also inquired via live chat with Majo S. on the ept. website (https://www.ept-members.com/reservations/) about Patrick W and Mike D who replied that he does not know who they are and told me to call 858-622-2904 to which is also a perpetual voice mail with no response. My last attempt at getting anyone to respond was scheduling a phone appointment with customer support at https://www.ept-members.com/membership/personalconcierge.aspx. I won't hold my breath waiting for them to call either.

Desired Outcome

I am seeking a refund of the full amount of the membership of $3,593 as I was lied to and scammed by the owner/employee of this is a fraudulent company that operates under deceptive practices.

Our rebate was unopen due to the covid-outreak but our office is on it and will issue you your rebate as soon as possible.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I would like the name and contact number of the person who responded to my complaint and will be responsible for issuing the rebate.

I wish to cancel my membership & they will not return my calls now.
When I reached out to them to cancel my membership # XXXXX I left voice messages & when a contracted financier that was a representative called back, he was rude, accusing & verbally offensive. When I emailed them in Charleston SC & finally spoke spoke with the project director & told him what happened & I wished to cancel, he said he would check back with me. That was over a month ago & still have not heard back. I agreed to a fee of $2593, to which I have paid $1264.32 as of this date. When I tried to use their services I didn't receive the discounts they eluded to. I found better deals on my own. I would like to be released from the contract of the $1328.68 left on the finance agreement, but the contracted financier *** threatened to turn me over to a collection agency. He also made accusations of comments & actions that I did not do. He told me that since the covid-19 they halted collections of payments, but my credit card was still being charged monthly. *** the project director, was nice & understanding about my aggravation at the financier and said he would contact the parent company to see what could be done. But that was at the first of June & now it's July, & they still have not returned my call or emails. They are also still charging my credit card monthly charges of $83.04.

Desired Outcome

I wish to have proof that my membership has been canceled & released from the finance agreement.

I spoke with consumer and is working with him.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I spoke with Brandon O today 7/21/2020. He said they would cancel the last year of my finical agreement after a finial payment of $83.04 in August 2020. He was respectful and professional. I will be satisfied, if Exclusive Platinum honors the agreement to cancel.

Signed a contract and paid $5,623.00 for a travel membership. Was told we would be reimbursed 65% of a trip we had booked before signing up with TSI.
We signed a contract with a rep from TSI named Mike L and purchased a travel membership for $5,623.00 on 6/4/19 in Charleston, SC. Member # ***; As an incentive, Contract states we would receive a 65% rebate on a trip we had already booked with Odysseys Unlimited. We were told that after we took the trip on 10/19, we would need to forward a copy of our itineraries/flight records, etc. to receive the reimbursement. Once we returned from the trip, we forwarded all required documentation. In February of 2020, we received a check for $647 towards the reimbursement. We then received notification that we would receive $2,500 as a final payment soon, which as of 6/16/2020, we have not received. (We were under the impression that we would be receiving 65% of $9,948.) In trying to follow up with Mike Lwas immediately on the defensive and very crass. I asked him to speak calmly and he kept on the defensive. He said that Mike Le should never have given us that particular deal and since he was no longer with TSI, Patrick would not agree to the terms. At this point, we would agree to receiving $2,500 to settle this outstanding case.

Desired Outcome

At this time, we would agree to receiving $2,500 as a settlement instead of the assumed 65%. We would also agree not to speak negatively about TSI/Platinum Travel if we receive payment.

Exclusive Platinum Travel Response • Jun 25, 2020

Our offices were shut down due to the covid-19 pandemic. Our offices are in the process of opening back up and we will be sending out all rebates soon.

Customer Response • Jun 25, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I am concerned with regards to the statement that they are saying there was a delay due to the shutdown which I can understand, however, this has been going on since October of 2019. I am concerned that we will not receive the reimbursement after all. My question is do I accept the response and then after June 30th reopen the case? What is the procedure for this?
Sincerely

Customer Response • Jul 06, 2020

I appreciate that you are following up with me with regards to my case. Instead of Exclusive Platinum Travel indicating that due to the office just reopening, and that a rebate would be sent soon, I would like to select a date for reimbursement and then if it is received by that date, then it would be considered closed. I am still willing to settle for $2,500.00 as well. I would like to give them 3 weeks to comply. I would like to put a date of July 24, 2020 as the deadline if that is at all possible. Thank you for your continued assistance with this.

Sincerely,

We stand with our first offer. Please let me know.

Customer Response • Jul 14, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I would accept the resolution if the business gives a date as to when the $2,500 rebate would be issued. At this time, there is no indication of a timeframe to receive the rebate.

Exclusive Platinum Travel Response • Jul 23, 2020

We stand strong on our first offer to upgrade to VIP status at no cost. We will put your rebate back in log when we reopen the rebate department via covid-19 guidelines.

EPT promised us one thing, did not deliver, and there is no way to contact them for help.
While on vacation in Charleston SC my husband and I were invited to listen to a vacation club opportunity in return for some vouchers to see Charleston attractions. Already having a time share, our intention was to say no to their program. We explained that we already had a timeshare we were unhappy with and the assured us that they worked with lawyers who could quickly get us out of our other time share. This was all done in Feb. 2020. To date, we have never spoken to their lawyers, all numbers and emails we were given are no longer in order and when we finally did get through on a number on their website, the person we spoke to said we could not speak to a supervisor and that somebody would call us back. We should have been called back a dozen times by now but that hasn't happened. We tried to have our credit card company help us but EPT sent them the papers we signed, excluding the one about having a lawyer get us out of our timeshare. They also said we had used their program because we logged onto their web site. I have logged on to try to get a valid phone number but I have never paid the $199.00 to activate the program, let alone use their services. These people are dishonest and scamming people out of their hard earned money.

Desired Outcome

I want my money returned in full because EPT did not uphold their part of the deal.

Exclusive Platinum Travel Response • Jun 25, 2020

We have contacted the attorneys responsible for helping you with the timeshare. They will be in contact with you shortly.

This is 100% a scam. Please look into this because this is not an actual company.

On May 6, 2019 my husband and I joined a travel club Exclusive Platinum Travel at 140 E. Bay St, under false pretense and deceptive sale tactics.
On May 6, 2019 my husband & I joined a travel club Exclusive Platinum Travel at 140 E. Bay St, under false pretense & deceptive sales tactics. During the presentation, 1. We were promised a certain service, travel, amusement park ticket discounts, concert ticket discounts, which at the time seem to be something that we would use and be very interested in. We believed what we heard. 2.Our attention was turned to a very large banner advertising an A+ Revdex.com rating & an accreditation with the Revdex.com. We believe what we saw. This ad was a major factor in our decision because The Revdex.com says start with trust. There was pressure for us to sign up before the other couple in the room to receive a discount on the membership, so we did. We paid $2495 for a travel membership. The basis of our complaint is the information that they provided was untrue, and their sales practices are deceptive. We were promised substantial savings for all our travel needs, which we never available and we based our decision on the non-existent Revdex.com affiliation. During the course of the year I called a 3 times to use our "discount travel" 1.for concert tickets, 2.for amusement park tickets and 3. a weekend getaway. On all 3 occasions, when I tried to use the service, there was no availability, the service was not offered or the discounts were no lower than what we found using a simple google search. So what exactly did we pay for? We purchased a service which is unusable. When the pandemic hit in March, I repeatedly called the direct number in SC. But have never receive 1 call back. I then started calling the 1-800 number and have yet to have anyone help me with my questions/concerns. My husband & I have been unemployed for over two months & have had very little money coming in. We simply did not have the money to renew our membership and had no intention of traveling during the pandemic. Also, we were asking for an extension because we were given a money back guarantee, which needed to be used once per year every year in order to qualify. Every time I called the conversation kept looping back to renewal, renewal, renewal. I repeatedly kept stating that we did not have the money during these unprecedented times & were requesting an extension or refund due to the lack of benefits received. I spoke to a very helpful customer service representative who sympathized with my situation. He informed me that there really is "no discount". The discounts can be purchased from the company through just the yearly fee and the initial fee was NOT required. Also, this company often changes its name and moves location. As you can imagine, I was shocked! I then started doing some research and have read dozens of reviews of this company. This company has a C+ rating with Revdex.com & NOT accredited with the Revdex.com. We would like to put this matter behind us. I am respectfully requesting a full refund from this company. We purchased this service, or lack of service, under false pretense and deceptive sales tactics. During the year that I had the product, the service I was promised was unavailable every single time I called. I received zero benefit from the service I purchased, through no fault of my own. I do not wish to do any business with this company. They lied about the savings. They lied about the Revdex.com rating & affiliation. Their customer service is absolutely horrendous. They never return calls. We spent almost $2500 our VERY hard earned money on a product which unavailable & non- existent. I sincerely hope you can help us in this matter. They are using the Revdex.com's good name to bamboozle & swindle money out of hardworking & honest people such as myself & my husband. We would not have purchased this travel service, for any other reason but for the fact that 1. My family & I would save money and 2. It was backed by the Revdex.com. Being that our purchase was under false pretenses deceitful & deceptive sales tactics we are demanding a FULL refund of $2,495.00

Desired Outcome

Please be assured that this is absolutely not a case of BUYER'S REMORSE. We love travelling and We were extremely excited about our purchase. We tried using it several times in the course of a year, but each time we were unsuccessful. Due to the fact that our purchase was made 1. under false pretenses 2. under deceitful and deceptive sales tactics, and 3. our purchase gave us a product of no value we are demanding a FULL refund of $2,495.00! Also, can you have them remove the larger than life banner promoting their Revdex.com's affiliation from their premises to prevent any other honest and hardworking family who may be deceived by this extremely untrustworthy company in the future. If you need any other additional information I can be reached directly at 570-499-0655.

Please reopen this complaint.

We are sorry to hear that you have lost employment and are unable to travel. While we have performed our end of the contract and by no way sold the membership under false promises, we ask that you submit a letter to our board of directors for reconsideration.

Customer Response • Jun 25, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I was contacted on 6/16/2020 by Brandon O a rep for the company I filed the complaint against. He called to scream at me, belittle me and bully me about the complaint I filed against Exclusive Travel Services. The conversation immediately upon my answering was extremely aggressive in nature. He DEMANDED that I remove the compliant immediately! He was rude, condescending and threatening. He asked if I was an attorney and I replied "no" but I had an attorney review my contract, he actually ridiculed and laughed at me. I was disrespected and treated unfairly and unreasonably during the entire conversation. I have never been spoken to in such a blatant unprofessional manner in all my life, let alone a from a person of upper management, whose job description is to serve your customers, provide solutions, and solve problems. I received none of the above. After this antagonistic and threatening phone call, My decision was even more solidified I absolutely WANTED a refund. During the conversation, I repeatedly stated I wanted a refund and did not wish for any upgrades, extension, promises or perks. This company had 1 year to show me savings and they DID NOT deliver what they promised. Brandon tried bullying me to send a letter to his "BOARD of Directors" if I had any hope AT ALL of getting a refund, I was "STRONGLY ENCOURAGED" to remove all the inflammatory language in the initial letter, such as deceptive business practices, deceit, etc. I sent to the Revdex.com In the new letter, I was "instructed "to "kindly ask" the board for a refund "sans any derogatory or negative language". He stated I would "get more with honey" and if I changed my original statement And it would make my case "stronger" for him to plead my case to his board and they would be "more inclined" to give me a refund. I stated several times that I WAS NOT changing my statement to because
1. I would be lying 2. I did not appreciate being bullied, blackmailed and intimidated into providing an untruthful letter to possibly get a refund. By recanting my initial story, the new "sweeter" and false statement would be construed as PROBLEM SOLVED because I changed my story and it ABSOLUTELY has not been. I maintain my position of joining this sham company under false pretense and deceptive sale tactics.I received no benefit or savings for the membership I paid for. I will NOT send a letter to the Board of Directors! These responses can be used as additional information for the board. I still am DEMANDING a FULL refund of $2,495.00! I DO NOT want to do business with this company! I DO NOT want an upgrade or any other perks offered! I WANT A FULL REFUND for the deceitful nature and deceptive sales tactics used to gain my trust for the purchase! I WANT a FULL refund based on the lack of services provided, the lack of savings, and lack of customer service! After the absolute ignorant, unprofessional, bullying, intimidating, obnoxious, belligerent and argumentative nature of the phone call I received, I want A FULL REFUND NOW MORE THAN EVER! It is my hope that "THE BOARD" reviews this statement and reconsiders their choice of the person they currently have in the role of reaching out to customers with complaints. Certainly not a great advocate, ambassador or representative for the company. He is downright embarrassing and definitely NOT winning you back ANY business!! He is in fact costing you business. I strongly encourage this board to replace Brandon O immediately as their "olive branch" with any future unhappy customers, customer service is positively NOT his strong suit. Just disgusting! Revdex.com your assistance is desperately needed in this matter. Perhaps, the next step is to look into the A+ rating of the company name they are hiding behind, "Save On travel" .

Exclusive Platinum Travel Response • Jul 14, 2020

We stand with our first offer. Please let me know.

Last May, my husband and I joined this so called Travel Service. It is a scam, a farce of a travel service. We was promised plenty of discounts for traveling related services. After joining and arriving home I proceeded to do some research on this company I called to try and retrieve our money back. Spoke with a Patrick W, whom decided to speak extremely nasty with me. Figured I would try and work with them. We eventually got refunded the money we was promised several weeks later. We traveled again in October ,we had to find our own hotels, make our own reservations and then we was again promised a refund on the hotel stays, did not receive that till Nov. as Charlene was either on vacation or was told about about a sick family member. The refund had gotten much smaller. Traveled again in Jan. 2020. Had to make airline flights through a different website, and was lied to about seating on the flight by 2 different people. Again contacted Charlene and received no refund for my hotel stay which I had to do the homework of my stay. Through the year, we priced crisis and I found out I was able to get them at a cheaper price than going through this company. What did I actually pay $4999.00 for? Someone with a local number from this company keeps calling us for a membership fee for the last 2 months. (With the country being in a pandemic). The last call I received from them the gentleman told me he was going to charge a credit card he had on file. I exploded and told him he was no way to charge any credit card. These people are ruthless for money, only they offer nothing in return.
Product_Or_Service: Travel discounts
Account_Number: 42480

Desired Outcome

Refund I am looking for a portion of the money we handed them to be returned.

Exclusive Platinum Travel Response • Jun 25, 2020

Please reopen the complaint per the Covid-19 pandemic. We have many many attempts to satisfy this customer and we ask that you close the complaint as we have made a fair effort to resolve.

The customer has failed to follow the price guarantee procedures per the signed agreement. They are not required to renew the membership and are not required to pay the renewal fee. We have fulfilled the contract as agreed upon.

I had to give it one star, its not worth any stars. No one answers, no one returns emails, and when you get someone they are rude and hang up. I have tried to book weeks, none available at this time. (not during virus either). I book hotels for weekend, my military discount is cheaper.they promised to refund 110% if you find it cheaper....wrong! They will not refund me any monies.
In 7 months I've saved $3.4 with $1000. worth of aggravation. Don't do it!!!

Joined a vacation club while on vacation in Charleston,SC in Nov. 2019. We believe we were scammed to believe club would actually help us save dollar
On Nov. 8,2019, my sister and I vacationed in Charleston,SC. We were approached to attend a presentation for a vacation club and receive couple gifts in return. I had no intention in buying anything since my husband & I already have 2 timeshares. My sister didn't even stay for it. My mom was with us, so she signed for presentation, since we were told I could not do because my husband was not present. But they still proceeded to sell me the program. My sister,Dina D, came in at end of presentation. We all said no,and I made mistake in saying if I did not have 2 timeshares I might consider. Charlotte K told me, they could get me out of a timeshare with their lawyers. They would guarantee this for us. I know how hard it is to get out of timeshares, so I was curious. We would have liked to dropped one of clubs and try something, ultimately less expensive, then yearly maintenance fees. These fees continue to to go up and we are getting tired of it.
$1300 was being taken out as separate payment to pay for this transaction. I have letter from EPT guaranteeing this release from timeshare. I have been in contact with Legal Support Professionals and sent them information they requested. After a few months, I spoke with Paul Stewart, and he informed me that they had not received payment from EPT. He told me that they would not be able to continue process of helping us get released, unless he received payment. I got in contact with Charlene K at EPT and was told she would forward information and they would contact me. As of April 9,2020 , I have not received a response.
Also, I am still waiting on a $75 voucher from a trip we took in Jan.2020. Also contacted EPT and at first got a response, but have not gotten a check.

Desired Outcome

The main reason I joined this vacation club was to get out of my current timeshare. I thought this would be worth the $1300, because I have heard many people pay much more. Plus just so hard to get released from them, so I was happy to get this done. My sister , co-joined, to help me with cost. of vacation club. She figured she would benefit from club also. The final cost for club was $3293 plus $1300. My sister paid $1100 of that amount. We were told we would save a great deal of money on vacations/hotel/airfare /car from joining EPT. When I looked for car prices and airfare for upcoming trips, the prices were not better than we could have gotten through other websites without paying the club fee. I feel we were scammed. One of their own representatives told me that they cannot get better airfare. Plus hotel fare was better on our trip to Texas because of supposed voucher on return of trip, which we never received. I have gone to my credit card to dispute, all these fees we have paid, but it has been over 60 days, so I'm not sure what kind of recourse I will have. So my goal is to get a full refund of $4593. Which is cost of club membership and cost of lawyer fees ,which were never sent over to Legal Support Professional. At this time, I cannot even get attorney office to respond to me. I spoke with Paul S, quite a few times and I told him I was working on getting money sent to him from EPT. My last email to him, I asked him for a written note ,stating that he had not received the monies from EPT for this matter, on our behalf. I only got back an email stating that due to pandemic, they would be working remotely, and would be answering emails once received. Mr. S had spoken to me March 18th on phone and told me they would stay in touch through this pandemic, remotely. So I don't know why I haven't heard from him either. Are EPT and LSP in this craziness together. All I know, is that my maintenance fees are past due on timeshare because I was advised not to pay, so that they would be more likely to release us. Well now I am looking into making that payment, because I don't want to end up in collection. We have great credit and do not want that tarnished.

I do not accept this as a response due to the fact I contacted the release company 4/22/20 and they said they have not received any payment. They suggested we ask for a check or proof of payment.

Exclusive Platinum Travel Response • Apr 30, 2020

We will reach out to the transfer company and find out what the problem is.

We were promised a deep discount on travel (excluding air fare) if we joined WSA. This is not what we have experienced.
On March 24, 2018 we were walking in Charleston when we were invited in to learn more about huge savings on travel. We went in and heard a sales pitch promising discounts ranging from 40% to 75%. We had just taken some trips, so I asked the sales person to quote prices for those trips since I knew what we paid. He did and the quotes were drastically lower than what we paid and what we were going to pay on the next trip. We believed what we heard. There was pressure for us to sign up before the other couple in the room to receive a discount on the membership. So we did. I have tried to use the service. Either there is no availability, or the discounts is NOT significant. I recently contacted WSA to book Dollywood. They quoted $1841.04 for our stay in a Jr. Suite. I called the Resort directly and they quoted $1660.19. WSA was higher and the discount I was promised did not exist. When I've used the service and had a problem, they did not solve it---I had to do that.
We were lied to about the savings we would receive as a member. We are retired and our travel funds are limited. This was supposed to be a way to stretch the budget. In fact, the sales person even used this as part of his pitch.

Desired Outcome

We are seeking a full refund of $6593.00

Exclusive Platinum Travel Response • Mar 16, 2020

This customer has been a member since 2018 and has renewed the membership. They signed a biding contract agreeing to what is covered under the price guarantee and the procedures outlined to claim the guarantee. This customer has not followed the procedures as outlined. If they are having an issue with pricing, they need to follow the procedures as outlined in the price guarantee.

Customer Response • Mar 17, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
With every renewal, I voiced my concern with the misrepresentation of discounts that we were told we were entitled to as a member. During those calls, I requested a call from someone who could address my dissatisfaction. No one has ever called. The price guarantee is not the answer to why we cannot get the deep discounts as promised when we joined. In the example I gave you with the original complaint, if you matched the price the resort quoted, it would not be a deep discount as your company promised us to entice us to join. Due to misleading information we request a full refund of our membership price. Thank you.

This travel agency is a scamp operation that lures people to their office to sign a contract with a no refund contract, it changes its name frequently
On 01/24/2020 we inquired about a carriage ride from a business that represented itself as a ticket vendor for Charleston area, it was located across street from Market. First they lured us in via free tickets to attend a sales seminar and we were escorted to the seminar via UBER. We also were paid $50 to attend this presentation. The location was at 140 East Bay St., Charleston, SC. They made a impressive presentation of their travel agency and stated they were rated A+ by Revdex.com, which is completely false. After we fell for their sales tactics and returned to our home the next day, I checked this organization out and found they were operating under a new name "EXCLUSIVE PLATINUM TRAVEL". Apparently, this organization changes its name quite often to avoid being identified as "A Scammer", which they are. They use the Revdex.com rating of "SaveOnResorts", however, none of the documents identify this travel agency as the contracting party.

I am filing a complaint with my credit card company to dispute the charges. However, I suspect that since I agreed to a "no cancellation" contract. This more than likely is an expensive lesson!

Desired Outcome

Cancellation and refund for a contract signed less than 24 hours ago. Most states have a law that a consumer has a short period of time to continue with a contract.

Exclusive Platinum Travel Response • Feb 03, 2020

We have addressed this issue immediately and are working to resolve the matter.

Customer Response • Feb 06, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I have discussed this with the district service manager several times, which resulted in a offer for less than 50% of my funds returned and upgraded service. Also requiring me to hold them harmless, as follows:
1. Customer agrees there are no complaints on any forum of media including Revdex.com (Revdex.com), if so, customer agrees to drop any complaints.
2. Customer agrees to drop any disputes with their Credit Card Company.

In my opinion, this company's business practice is deception. A company that can only get business by deception and in its legal documents asked its customers to give away its rights, should be required to change these practices or no longer exist.

Below is a summary of EPT process we experienced:

January 29, 2020
One of Tourism's Ugliest Moments

Last Thursday my wife and I decided to take our granddaughter to visit Charleston, one of our favorite places to visit in South Carolina.
On Friday morning, our nightmare began. We had toured the Marketplace and were looking for a place to purchase a horse carriage tour on Market St, right across the street from the Marketplace. In one of the souvenir shops that we inquired, an individual approached us and offered, us free tickets plus $50 in cash to attend a 30-minute sales presentation.
Our big mistake was the acceptance of this offer. This person, who said his name was Peter, sent us a Uber car to take us to the presentation, which was a few blocks away.
On arrival at this store front office, we greeted by some shading looking characters who opened the front door for us.
After entering, we were welcome with drinks and escorted to a lounge area to wait for other guests who would join us in the presentation. Once the other guests arrived, we were move to the presentation area. There were two other tables besides ours with guests?
There was a "Big" billboard in front near the PowerPoint screen that had was a Revdex.com rating for another company that this company had some kind of contract with. The Revdex.com rating for this other company was A+.
The presentation began when a speaker arrived, who described himself as a substitute for the individual who usually does these presentation. After thinking about why a substitute speaker, I am sure this was to make the audience comfortable.
He started the presentation by stating that their company did not practice "high pressure" sales techniques. Then explained that we could only attend this sales presentation once and they needed our identification to establish that this was our first attendance. I am sure the real purpose was to find out whether the attendees had the financial means to purchase the travel service they were selling.
After getting our identifications established, he then started talking about the travel company that had A+ Revdex.com rating with whom they had a contract. I assumed it was an agency contract.
Then he explained that the reason that the A+ Company had set up an internet structure to obtain unsold resort vacation inventories and that they would heavily discount just to fill their capacity. They would make their money of other amenities. This seemed logical, however, when checking up later on the A+ Company, several people posted complaints that many of the deals were based on the traveler attending a time-share presentation.
One of the more perplexing items in the whole presentation was that they were selling two service packages (standard and platinum) and the platinum package was the better and was $2,000 cheaper than the standard.
Any way at the end of the presentation, the emphasis was that this is a "One Time" opportunity and that $1,000 discount would be given to the first to accept the program. Of course, we were 1st, however, I could not see the other prospects behind, and so I do not know if that was true. Further, I do not know that the other prospects were for real.
We were foolish for not leaving the place at this point. Had it not been for the Revdex.com A+ rating of the Company doing the service, we would have. When we were taken to a separate room to execute the agreements, I did note that all the agreements were with the presenter's company, not the A+ rated Company. However, I was overcome with the opportunity for our 52nd anniversary; I signed the agreements, BIG MISTAKE!

This matter has not been resolved. I have not received any refund or cancellation of agreements.

On 9/13/19 I was informed by TSI that their company was rated A+ with the Revdex.com
I was told lied to and misled.
On 9/13/19 I was presented with verbal and written statements that TSI is Rated A+ with the Revdex.com and is fully accredited with the Revdex.com. I purchased a travel package with TSI for $ 6593.00 When I went back to my hotel and looked up TSI I found out that they have a C- rating with the Revdex.com and are NOT accredited with the Revdex.com.
The office was closed for the day, When I returned home I sent a letter to TSI in Charleston SC expressing that I wanted to cancel my travel package. I heard nothing back from TSI. My letter was not returned to me, so one would assume they received it. I have tried to call their 800 # only on 2 occasions, only to be sent thru a loop of press this press that , sorry we are not able to take your call.
I feel that I was lied to with regards to the standards of TSI Had I known that they had a poor rating I never would have purchased the travel package.
I was sucked in by promises and lies.
I am asking for help in getting my travel package cancelled and my $ 6593.00 refunded to me.
I have not used their services.

Desired Outcome

I am seeking a full refund of $ 6593.00 from TSI.

What the company told me was , that they do not take responsibility for actions that take place at their selling branch locations.
That I signed a contract and they are not going to issue refund
That I need to try and use their services to see if it saves me money and if it doesn't then I need to contact them via phone call.
I found a hotel for weeks stay and not only was I able to find it cheaper there was also no cancellation fees if cancelled 24 hr before check in. I will be sending them this information hopefully they will issue me a refund and cancel contract

Attended a vacation membership meeting in Charleston, SC that promised 30-60% off on vacations. Not given discounts as promised in presentation
On 10/31/19 my husband & I was approached by *** to attend an Exclusive Platinum meeting for 11/1/19. We had to pay him $20 to guarantee us showing up. He offered us 2 vouchers for a local excursion and also a 30th Anniversary Bonus for a 3 day/2 night vacation & all we have to do is pay the taxes. We have not tried to take the trip yet. When we got to meeting, it showed a good Revdex.com rating and we were told we would save 30-60% off on trips. *** did presentation and talked how much we would save & how his family could not afford to go to Hawaii or other great excursions if it had not been for this company. We were told the Millhouse hotel we stayed at in Charleston would have cost us $80 a night if we a member of the club. We paid $390/night. Since my son graduates this year, we thought a 30%-60% savings would allow for us to reward our son with a nice trip for graduation. The plan started with around a $6000 1 time payment for 4- 7- day trips per year & unlimited trips for less than 7 days. We told *** we only could afford 1-seven day vacation a yr so we paid a total of $3093 on XX-X-XXXX w/$199/yr renewal fee. In December, We looked on EPT-member website that we were given and after comparing the prices with EPT website & the Hotel's websites, some were only a few dollars cheaper & most were more than the hotels own website! I emailed the company XX-XX-XX asking why prices were more & where were the savings presented to us. I asked for a refund & was told "their prices are already based at a discounted price." "They can guarantee me that they provide the best prices to any of my future travel vacations" and "I needed to speak with Concierge Dept". On 12/18, I responded back that on the ept-member.com website there is no discounts. EPT is higher and I want a refund. So I did as they asked...I had a Personal Concierge call me so "we could do a side-by-side comparison to ensure I was receiving the lowest rate when booking with my membership". On 12/19/19., I spoke to the Concierge and after we compared, his price was $2189.79 for the Mirage Volcano room in Vegas. My price on the Mirage website was $2183.70 Taxes & all; He said that was the best price he could give me. I told him I want a refund. I was told I would have to call member services "again". On 12/26/19, I left a message for member services to call me. On 12/27/19 ***(800-210-5783 ext *** called & spoke to ***, my husband. *** explained to him our disappointments on no savings. He told *** to let him check into it and he would put us on a plan that we would normally pay for but he would check to see if he could put us on it & investigate the situation because EPT does save you money. I paid over $3000 for a membership & he said I am not on a plan & normally you have to pay for it???What was the $3000 we paid cover??*** was going to call *** back in 10 minutes....*** did not call back. A lady named *** called (XXX-XXX-XXXX)me & I discussed with her & she had someone email me a quote not for the Hotel I requested. It was booked but she gave me some others and in her email she stated that each room booked would qualify for a $300 rebate after stay was completed.Nothing was ever said in our presentation nor in our signed contract about any rebates. The prices she gave me also may have saved me $10 on one hotel the other 2 quotes were higher than Hotel websites. So much for my 30%-60% savings! on 12/30/19, left message at member services I want a refund. on 12/31 *** finally decides to call back. *** did not understand why we were talking to Conceirge. I told him because we were told to.*** was informed of everything I have stated above & I told him nothing was stated about rebates. If so, I would have never signed up for this scam!He told me it was in my contract. I told him not on paperwork ya gave me.*** is to call me back. Once again it is not 1/11/2020, *** has not called me back. We have contacted our Discover to dispute charge &scam

They have been aware of the situation because Discover reached out to them & so have you(Revdex.com)on several occasions. It is now 2/4/2020 they haven't contacted me.I'm done with them!

Exclusive Platinum Travel Response • Feb 06, 2020

After reviewing our company records we have found that this issue has already been heard by Discover and they found in our companies favor. We stand ready and willing to perform our duties as outlined in the membership agreement.

On February 2019 we paid $$6593.00 for membership with Travel Services International. Our Member Number is XXXXX. We request a refund of $6593.

During the sales presentation representatives stated that we would receive a 50 to 60 percent discount on all of our future travel expenses. Furthermore, they promised that their properties were high-end 5-star properties. We have tried to use this service on numerous occasions, always finding that all other options that we researched provided lower rates, along with higher rated quality properties. We were told that while traveling and looking for a hotel room to just call them while we were on the road and they could immediately reserve a high-end room for substantial savings.Their Project Director specifically said to call him directly day or night and he could handle our request. He stated he might be with a customer and emphasized to leave a message and he would return the call in a timely manner. He has never returned a call. We have never been able to contact a real person initially and were always ask to leave a message. As one example, we needed a hotel room in Kansas City for five nights. The price TSI quoted was the highest of all other quotes we researched, including their own website. The room was a two star rated hotel, while the other sites had four star properties. On researching a summer trip to Orlando for Disney and Universal the TSI quote was higher than almost all other sites quoted. We received e-mails three or four times a week asking us to purchase travel insurance. Then we received a call requesting we pay our annual dues in August.. We questioned why we would pay now when our anniversary date is February. He said we could qualify for a free stay. We informed him that we were very unhappy with the company and not interested. From that point on they discontinued all communication.

Desired Outcome

Full refund. No further contact. We are a senior retired couple who were promised for consideration of an up front fee of $6593 that we could recover the initial investment with future substantial savings over the years. Nothing that was presented to us during the sales presentation is true. It is a scram. All their claims are fradulant. This is a substantial amount of money for us, so just giving it away with nothing in return if not an option. We have waited to pursue this matter so that we could continue to confirm our findings. Contributing factors concern TSI stating that they have the highest Revdex.com rating, and the fact that they are located in a highly regarded tourist city of Charleston, which most people would assume have strict consumer protections for visitors..

Exclusive Platinum Travel Response • Nov 22, 2019

Our company does not guaranteed 50-60% discount on all travel. Please refer to the information provided to you at the time of purchase and which you singed. Our company does offer the price guarantee. Please follow the procedures as agreed upon if you booked a trip cheaper that what we quoted.

Customer Response • Jan 13, 2020

We certainly do not want this case to be closed.

We have reviewed all the printed information initially provided to us in Feb 2019, and have received the TSI response to our Revdex.com complaint of Nov 17, 2019.

Specifically, to address their response: (1)During the sales presentation, and at the private setting at the closing, representatives guaranteed "substantial" travel savings, sometimes as much as 40, 50, and 60 percent; (2) The mechanics of the price guarantee is unreasonable and places an undo burden of the member whereby it cannot be reasonably used. After booking with TSI, if we find a better price, and provide written proof, they will refund the price difference. This would cause an administrative nightmare, as TSI never had a lower price, and would always required us to make the effort and invest the time to prove to TSI that we had found a lower price.

TSI did not comment on the other issues with our complaint.

We have also read all the complaints with TSI on the Better Business site. We were told by TSI that they had an excellent (I think the word they used was "highest") rating with the Revdex.com.

The basis of our complaint is that we were told, as witnessed by my wife and myself, that we would receive substantial savings of all our travel needs. We have tried to use the TSI services on many occasions, using their Web, and by phone, and have never found them to offer a lower price than research on our own found with any travel agency, or travel web site on the internet. Therefore, we cannot use their service, and because the information that they provided was not true, and their sales practices are deceptive.

We would like to put this matter behind us and again request a full refund.

Exclusive Platinum Travel Response • Feb 03, 2020

We would also like to have this reopened. The price guarantee does not require a trip to be booked prior to finding a better price, however, the price guarantee is obviously only used if the trip is ultimately booked. This guarantee was agreed upon in the signed contract.

We joined a travel club under false pretense and deceptive sales tactics.
The Revdex.com says start with trust. That's what we did when we were first asked to listen to a 20-minute talk by an Expedia company in exchange for carriage ride tickets. We were taken to Exclusive Platinum Travel at 140 E. Bay St. The first thing we noticed was a nearly floor to ceiling banner announcing an A+ Revdex.com rating. This was a major factor in our decision to listen to a presentation by *** about a world wide travel agency/club with video and brochure that guaranteed exclusive 40% to 75% savings on all travel except airline. The presentation continued for an hour or more interspersed with familial personal details such as his wife who works for Boeing and who loves the travel club. We were exhausted and hungry and stated our desire to leave. When we were promised the same 40% to 75% discount at the small four diamond inn where we were staying, we signed up for the "club" for $3,093, a discount from the original price of $6,999. When we realized a few hours later that the brochure with all the "benefits" and promised savings was not in our packet only copies of papers that we signed indicating no rescission and other legalize about our responsibility for damages and that we were not under the influence of drugs, we became alarmed. The next morning, we told management at the inn where we were staying about the "club". They said they do not work with third parties and do not offer deep discounts. We could find nothing on the internet about Exclusive Platinum Travel but later did find many negative comments about Travel Services International at the same address, *** 8*** the same phone number, XXX-XXX-XXXX, and the same salesman's name, ***. We went back to 140 E. Bay Street the next morning and asked for a refund. We then learned that the company offering free tickets for attendance at an Expedia Company presentation was different than the Exclusive Platinum Travel company that took our money and different than a company in California who was the only one who could give a refund. There are multiple companies that result in no accountability and no transparency - a shell game of companies. We were told repeatedly that only *** could authorize a refund. We waited for hours for *** from San Diego, California to call us. We respectfully asked for a refund but got a long speech instead. He said he had to consult with five people above him and would call the following week. *** called the following week and offered (1) the same package for $2,000 or (2) release from the contract for $1,000. We trusted the Revdex.com A+ banner and were completely deceived into signing documents under false pretenses. It is difficult to understand how a respectable company would refuse a refund less than 24 hours later when no service or product was exchanged. We have received no product and no service from this company and request a full refund.

Desired Outcome

We seek a full refund.

Recently received password that was promised 7-10 days after purchase early November . Have since made my own travel plans and when returning home Dec. 15 finally got password. Checked out several "deals" thru TSI and discovered prices were the same in the hotels that I had booked myself. Based on my experience so far with TSI deceptive practices including high pressure no refunds tactics and all the other complaints filed to Revdex.com TSI should not look forward to servicing me. I want my money back.

TSI Fraudulently charged my credit card for $6,593 knowing full well they could not deliver on their end of the agreed upon contract obligation.
In July 2019 we were in Charleston. We were solicited to attend a seminar by TSI. We were only interested because we were told they had a special relationship with Viking Cruise Lines with whom we had an existing booking. We made clear that we had no interest in their vacation membership at a cost of $6,593 but were interested in their "special" relationship with Viking if it could save us money. I was clear that any savings would need to be above the $6,593 cost of membership. The salesman agreed and I gave him our Viking confirm booking number. He left us to confirm what he could do. He excitingly told us that he could take over the booking from Viking (which is a lie, they can not) and reduce our cost to $9,816. I reiterated my question, "you can take our $22,000 cruise and do it for $9,816?" He said absolutely, "TSI has a special relationship with Viking". On my calculator with him sitting next to us subtracted $9,816 from $22,000, indicating our savings us $12,184 which would more than offset the membership cost. I reiterated that after paying the $6,593 for the membership fee we would expect to save an additional $5,591. It sounded too good, but they touted their relationship with Viking claiming they had an inventory of rooms on cruises to draw from. Still skeptical I asked for an amendment to the contract on page 2 that states, verbatim:

Taking over Viking Cruise for $9,816
Purchasing membership contingent on us taking over the cruise reservation.

Payment for the membership was contingent on them taking over the Viking booking and providing the savings promised, the salesman agreed and we signed the contract, expecting that my credit card would not be charged until the details had been worked out and confirmed with Viking. My card was immediately charged. I became concerned that I was being scammed but my card had already been charged. I called Viking to confirm that they had a relationship with TSI, they had no records of the company and confirmed that there was no way that any travel agency could provide that steep a discount. I then checked the Revdex.com and found that TSI was not listed and the information they had was all negative. At approximately 10:19 that same night I texted the salesman and expressed my concern, and indicated I was going to dispute the charge. He claimed I was speaking to the wrong people at Viking and that they would meet their commitment and I would be 100% satisfied. We agreed to meet the next day. When we met, he told me it was above his head and I would need to deal with his boss. The boss, a *** is their contract enforcer, he plays good cop/bad cop in one conversation. He yells, threatens and keeps referencing that I signed a contract, he then comes back down to try and sound reasonable and negotiable. At first, he was reassuring and told me they would do what they committed to and one of his Viking "specialists" would contact me and make the arrangements. When I was contacted, the women asked me for my Viking booking number and told me she would be back to me shortly, I never heard from her. Days later Weaver called and informed me that I would be getting $2,694 not the $12,184 I was promised, he suggested that I must be some kind of fool for thinking otherwise. After discussion he offered to sweeten the deal and offered me $3,200. He also told me they wouldn't take over the Viking booking, and it would be easier for me to take the $3,200 and deal with Viking myself. He never mentioned he couldn't pick up the booking and meet his contract obligation. He tried to con me and bully me into accepting significantly less than promised and to sign a doc restricting me from ever complaining. As viewed in the other complaints this is a disreputable company. Their business model is to scam visitors to Charleston and use SC contract law to facilitate their deceptive practices. Not sure why they're allowed to stay in business. I have attached all the relevant support documentation

Desired Outcome

I am hoping for help to get a full reimbursement of $6,593. I am willing to fogo what they actually owe me $12,184 as they can not and could never assume this contract. I would like to avoid litigation and just put this behind me. I am currently working with my bank through a dispute process and our last correspondence was in October.

TSI did not make multiple attempts to contact me, this is a lie, something they seem very adept at, seems to be part of their business model. I am including the call registry for my telephone usage from the time the original complaint was filed for the record. They also never emailed me as I requested. I received one voicemail on Dec. 3 asking that I provide a good day and time to call. I left a voicemail advising that that Dec 10 would be good. They did call, the conversation did not go well. They claim that my filing complaints and trying to get what they owe me, was costing them a lot of money to respond to, when I tried to speak he gets very belligerent, talks over me and starts to yell and threaten they would not negotiate with me and I would be getting nothing. When I suggested I am willing to contact an attorney he accused me of threatening him and ended the conversation. He claims the conversation is recorded; I certainly hope so, would love to have them produce it if this ever goes to trial.

TSI's response is a complete lie, not one true statement. Seems every response they have made has been a lie, they run their business on lies, deceit and bulling. Their service is a sham and they prey on travelers and visitors to Charleston to use the unfriendly consumer contract laws of South Carolina for protection. We are going on the cruise and I will forward the receipt and confirmation for the record to the Revdex.com. Mr. Weaver knows this as I was very clear in our last conversation on December 10, 2019 that we were in fact going and have had the reservation from in June of 2018. Why he blatantly lied in his response of December 20, 10 days later is beyond me. They did not at any time offer me multiple substantial discounts, as a matter of fact they offered me one quarter of what they committed to and could not fulfill their obligation to take over and coordinate the trip as contractually promised. I did turn this offer down and requested a refund of my money. This was the only offer they made, not the multiple offers as stated in the response. This offer has also been rescinded by TSI because I had the audacity to complain to my credit card company, the Revdex.com and the SC Department of Consumer Affairs and at this point there is not one offer to rectify anything, as a matter of fact I was told I would be getting nothing and was hung up on. They state that they are ready and willing to preform their duties, another obvious lie, if this were true, we wouldn't be at this point with the Revdex.com and SC Department of Consumer affairs. They ask the Revdex.com to close this issue so that they won't have a stain on their already dismal record and can go on victimizing others. I do not believe I will get any willing cooperation from TSI and am looking at my other options, but I implore the Revdex.com to keep this case open as unresolved, if for no other reason than to be a cautionary tale for other would be victims who would hopefully read this and the multiple other complaints registered against TSI.

This Company misrepresents what it is selling. It fraudulently misleads people and bullies them into submission when they complain. They're scammers
On 24th September 2019 my husband and I were visiting Charleston. We went into what we thought was a tourism office to inquire about a walking tour and were pressured into attending a nearby "presentation" which we driven to. We were subjected to a very full-on sales pitch which was presented as a once only offer having been told to bring our passports and credit card. We realize now being very relaxed and probably having sunstroke we did not have our wits about us and signed up to the highly persuasive salesman and woman bombarding us with facts and figures. The next day we returned to the office and said we had changed our minds and wanted to cancel the deal. They were adamant there was no three-day cooling off period, and we had signed away all rights. Not being familiar with US law, I couldn't imagine how that was possible - in all UK deals, there is always a cooling off period. We had several more conversations with them always requesting a full refund of the £5470 we had paid (in US dollars) but to no avail. They were adamant it was non-refundable. I told them I had already called Amex to dispute the charge and they said once Amex saw the paperwork we had signed, they would put the charge through.
At present, the charge is still suspended while Amex investigate.
We are extremely unhappy about this whole matter which ruined our first and now only visit to Charleston - we never want to go back to a city which we feel fleeced us.
We felt very disappointed and let down - and stupid!

Desired Outcome

We wish the total transaction to be voided by the Company.

They did not state any cancellation terms in their paperwork. We based our knowledge that every contract has a three day "cooling off" period even though that was not stated. We went to see them the day following our "ensnarement" but they were adamant that they would not return our money. We knew, having read terrible reviews on the internet that we had been "scammed" but they refused to engage with us. We are not prepared to throw good money after bad in trying their services, having read what has happened to others from the UK who tried to do the same. Shame on Charleston for allowing these charlatans to operate in their beautiful city.

Exclusive Platinum Travel Response • Feb 19, 2020

The contract is clear as day. You signed the contract acknowledging that there is no right to cancel. We ask that you please close the complaint.

TSI represented that they were advertising agents for saveonresorts; however, that and all else they said was false.
We went to a presentation for a Vacation Club supposedly by Saveonresorts.com. When we arrived at the designated office. the name on the door was ''TSI". There was a very large cardboard placard at the front for Saveonresorts.com so when we sat down with the sales rep. we questioned this and they said that TSI only handled the marketing on behalf of Saveonresorts.com but the club was Saveonresorts.com. We had googled saveonresorts.com and they had a A+ Revdex.com rating We were intentionally led by the sales rep at all times to believe that that saveonresorts.com was the company we were dealing with and NOT TSI. We were especially drawn in to purchase as we have a family trip planned next spring and we were promised: (i) we could obtain Disneyland tickets at a substantial discount. (ii) that we could re-book our May 8, 2020 Viking river cruise for half the cost (the manager "***" even showed me what he claimed to be their website showing the lower fare). (iii) that their attorney "***" could definitely get us out of not only ours, but also that of my nephew (who is like a son) at no additional cost (which they stated they do all of the time as an accommodation to their members); and (iv) we would be able to book high end (including Disney Vacation Club properties) on their website for less than we are currently paying for maintenance on our timeshares (none of the foregoing proved to be true). We were rushed to sign the documents and not given time to read what we were signing. We were even shown a piece of paper with the with the A+ Revdex.com rating for salesresorts.com rating which was included in the packet of papers delivered to us (copies of all attached). When we executed the documents, we did not notice that the contract was with TSI and not saveonresorts.com. We are trusting people and believed (as they wanted us to) that we were dealing with saveonresorts.com - a stellar company and not Travel Services International who we later learned has a terrible reputation. When we returned to our hotel room later that same afternoon and read the documents. we were surprised to read that we had contracted with TSI and then horrified when we googled that company and learned of its horrific reputation. We immediately contacted our sales rep, Mike, who was not available. so we spoke to his manager. *** and told him that we wanted to cancel. He said that that was impossible and told us that I was reading the documentation incorrectly. He said that he would have a supervisor contact us. We then contacted Saveonresorts.com by filling in an online contact request. and received a call back from an administrative assistant who told us that saveonresorts merely provides technical assistance to TSI and that TSI had no right to represent that that they were selling saveonresorts.com services and that it was a breach of their contract with TSI to use the Saveonresorts placard. She also told us that they do not deal with Disney. The following day I received a phone call from *** who assured us that our beliefs were wrong, that he would "make us happy". and would call back by Tuesday after he had time to review the documentation. When Mr. did not call by Tuesday, we called him. Mr. convinced us that all promised would be delivered. He promised not only to send an email to us confirming that he would obtain the 9 Disneyland tix we needed at no less than a 20% discount and that TSI would get us out of our timeshares, but also that he would have a "premium" reservations agent call us which would be our personal concierge. That was on Tuesday, September 17th and to date we have not received that email or a call. In the interim. we received a welcome email from TSI and was able to access their website. There are no high-end timeshare resorts (like our Marriott and my nephew's Hyatt, or Disney properties). the discounts are not as represented (you can do better on other on line sources) and the cruise fare shown to

Desired Outcome

The actions of TSI are clearly fraud in the inducement and therefore our contract must be voided and our monies refunded

We will reach out to the member to resolve the issue

I am seeking a refund of $6193 from Travel Services International.
My husband and I purchased a travel plan from Travel Services International on Friday, May 10, 2019. We recognized one day later, that we made a poor decision because my husband was physically unable to use the services. I called a representative on Sunday evening, May 12, at phone number XXX-XXX-XXXX/XXX-XXX-XXXX, but was but reached him by phone so I left a message on his phone that I needed to cancel. *** returned my call and I explain that my husband was ill. That we had come to Charleston only because May 10th was my husband's 75th,and so we had ventured out on the weekend trip in celebration of that occasion.
Mr. Fender put me in touch with a woman, whose name I don't remember. She had me contact a man by the name of *** Once again I explained to *** that my husband was seriously ill. He suffers with: congested heart disease, COPD, kidney disease, diabetic, and take insulin injection 3times a day, high blood pressure, uses oxygen regularly and has a pacemaker. I offered to send *** medical documents from my husband doctors. As of this date my husband admitted into the hospital three times with an average stay of four days each time, and as many times trips to the emergency room for treatment.
Beginning on May 13th up until May 17th I have had several conversation with *** I still have a recording of our conversation and a letter showing my correspondence with *** He led me to believe that there was the possibility that my fund would be retuned to me. He told me that a board meeting would take place in July,2019 and he would get back to me.The last conversation with Weaver was on May 17th.
I also reached out to my credit card company to see if they could help get my funds back, but to no avail. They then suggested I speak directly with a gentleman at Travel services International by the name of *** I call him, no respond, so I text him and he agreed to speak with me on a certain day in September, however, he does not answers him phone when I call. I mailed a letter which explain my concern and my letter was retuned stamped "return to sender".

This customer signed a binding contract in our office agreeing to the cancellation terms. We stand ready and willing to perform our duties as outlined in the membership agreement. Health related issues are not a condition of termination of the contract.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
They lied. Said we used their services and neverThe day we walked into that building for the presentation, my 75 year old husband wasn't feeling well, but we stayed because we were offered free tickets for attractions in the area, but had no intentions of purchasing a travel plan.
After listening to the presentation, my husband felt it was a good idea, to purchase the travel plan, even though he had been homebound for over a year because of his health. However, two days later after purchasing the travel plan I reached out to *** letting him know that we needed to cancel because of my husband's health issues. *** seemed genuinely sincere when I explain why we needed to cancel. At that point after speaking to him I felt I would most likely lose only the money paid to the third-party people. (Those who sign us up to come to the presentation) The third day after speaking to *** I still was hopeful that I would be refunded because of what he said to me. But everything *** led me to believe turned out not to be true.
I believed that a fair minded company would say that since we didn't use the services, contacted TSI within a couple of days, and since ISI didn't lose anything, why not return our money? Instead, they lied to our credit company saying that we had used the travel services; and had never contacted then seeking to cancel the contract. All lies. We never used the services; my husband has been in the hospital four times since May 10th, 2019 the day we attended that presentation. Last hospital visited October 11th, 2019. I contact them two days after purchasing that travel services asking for a refund.
If TIS truly believe all that they say at their presentation about their travel services, them why not include a cancelation clause in there contract for customers who face a dire crisis, and request a cancellation within a few days after purchasing the travel plan, then why not grant a refund if they haven't used your service.
Travel Services International doesn't care whether we use travel or not travel all they want is to steal our money.
I can only believe that this company (TSI) is a fraud, preyed on us (seniors) and others.
Note: If *** is the legal representative for TSI,
contacted them about canceling their services.

This member used an instant rebate with the membership at the time of booking (please see addendum). In addition, even if the membership was not used does not cancel the contract.

NO, we want a refund.
What is being said is not what we consider to be the honest truth. Sheets of Paper were placed before us and the pages were read and boxes were checked and we were told to sign. Which we did without taking the time to fully understand what we were getting into. Which we truly regret.
As for an instant rebate, this is the first time I have heard anything about a rebate being offered or given. We didn't attend the presentation alone. Another couple were present with us and are willing to share their recollection of what transpired during the signing of those papers and what was said and how it was handled.
Again, all we asked is for a fair resolution. My husband is sick, and not able to travel. His health continues to get worse.
We are on a fixed income and it could take years to pay off that credit card bill.
I also asked that you stop harassing my husband with phone calls telling him about trips that are reserved for him. My husband has Congested heart failure and your phone calls upset him. These phone calls just started within the last few weeks. What's the purpose of these phone calls?
