Exclusive Platinum Travel Reviews (%countItem)

This company has totally failed to provide the service it promised. It has consistently and repeatedly failed to respond to communications.
Member No. XXXXX. Membership fee paid $4000. Purchase and Contract Date: 9/7/2018.
My wife and I were persuaded to join TSI whilst visiting Charleston, SC. As U.K. citizens, we were assured that there would be a significant number of available vacation sites in the U.K. and Europe. This was not true.
We were also promised 5 star luxury at motel prices. This also was not true.
After a year's membership, we have been unable to take a single vacation.
We were promised 4 free weekly stay condo weeks as a final inducement to sign up. we have now been told this was a "miscommunication" and that no free weeks were available - clearly a case of misrepresentation.
Communication with TSI has been extremely frustrating. We have used live chat to talk with the Concierge Dept., on at least 25 occasions, but they have been unable / unwilling to connect us to Member Services. When telephoning Member Services directly, on over 30 occasions, we get a recorded message. We have never been able to speak to a Member Services agent in person.
Agents from Concierge Services have been sympathetic to our concerns, but have not been physically able to connect us with member Services.
I wrote a detailed letter to the Charleston office, which received neither an acknowledgement nor a response. In July, I sent a second copy of this letter by recorded delivery. I have proof that the letter was received, but still no contact from TSI.
I then contacted the renewals dept., who understood exactly why we did not wish to renew our agreement for a second year, but also could not contact Member Services.
I firmly believe that the membership of TSI which we were sold was in no way the product we have received. The service from TSI has been non-existent and the inability to contact Member Services in person has been inexcusable.
I am left with the belief that TSI is a major scam operation and that I am entitled to a full refund of my subscription.
I requested this in my letter to the company, but have had no response.
It would appear that the company is obstructive in every way when it comes to communication with Member Services.

Desired Outcome

I am seeking a full refund of the $4000 paid on joining TSI as it has demonstrably failed to provide the service it promised.

Exclusive Platinum Travel Response • Oct 15, 2019

Condo availability varies depending on numerous factors including time of booking, location etc. Our contract does not guarantee availability at all times and locations. We do indeed offer 5 star accomodations at discounted prices. You are not obligated to renew the membership but cannot cancel the original agreement. However, we will reach out to this member in an attempt to reach a resolution.

We joined a travel club that supposedly gave 40 - 60% discounts on travel options; however, no such discounts existed.
After reading the 22 other complaints against TSI, we realized that their experiences mirrored ours. We attended a meeting on April 6, 2019. When the salesman mentioned Viking deep discounts, Irish castles for a pittance, week long resort stays for $300. and having just obtained a 4 star hotel room in Charleston on the busiest weekend there, we decided to join. We paid $6593. by credit card that day and received membership #XXXXX. When we returned home, we happened to see a Viking add for a Rhine River Cruise. I called TSI and got an e-mail with a quote of $4500. each. When my wife called Viking to confirm our savings, *** said the amount was $2999. each including air fare and even gave us a $400. credit for onboard spending. Then, my wife checked accommodations for Ireland, England and Scotland for the year and no accommodations were on the website. She called *** from TSI and demanded a refund for false advertising. When two weeks elapsed and we heard nothing, I called ***. He said you didn't hear from us because your wife wanted a refund. He also asked why we called Viking even though he and the salesman said they dealt with Viking all the time. When my wife asked *** if they have ever heard of TSI, she said no. We even contacted our bank to refute the charges and, thus far, their only response was pointing out that the contract is not subject to any right of rescission. Since nothing stated by the salesman nor reinforced by either *** or *** was true, we are assuming that this is a scam and we should not be held to a fraudulent contract. We have been misled by this company and find it interesting that 22 other complaints have been filed against a company which has only been operational for two years. Obviously, this figure doesn't include other people who have been scammed and have neglected to file a complaint.

Desired Outcome

As I described above, I am convinced that this "company" is a fraud and, in addition to never dealing with them again, I feel that the only fair resolution is a complete refund. When I tried to reason with *** about two months ago, his only comment was that I was not getting my money back. He also tried to intimidate me by mentioning that attorneys are expensive.

Exclusive Platinum Travel Response • Aug 01, 2019

We have been in contact with this member and are working to resolve the issue.

Customer Response • Aug 04, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The issue is, and always was, truth in advertising. When I got a call from *** regarding my Revdex.com complaint, his only response to it was to shout me down, interrupt and dispute the claim. Subsequently, *** spoke with my wife and promised to get back to her. She said she was ***'s boss and they discussed his poor and rude phone manner. The next day *** called my wife to say that *** had a family emergency. My wife again reiterated that TSI had not beaten the price we received from Viking. She disputed that by saying that she sent my husband an email on May 18th showing a rebate which was never received by us. She then sent a copy to my wife. Interestingly, why was this discount only sent to us after she and *** knew that we had already booked our trip. In addition, the only problem is that she did not send the email to me. We went through every email on my computer for months and there is nothing there. As my wife and I have told various employees of this "company," we will not consider doing business with them. We were only too happy to honor our contract while these employees did not provide us with the lowest price on Viking and did not have connections in the countries we previously mentioned and they verbally told us they had. Their way of handling a dispute was, as *** told me, not to return calls if someone was dissatisfied. Our next contact will be the Attorney General of South Carolina as we feel that he or she should be aware of this classic bait and switch.

Exclusive Platinum Travel Response • Aug 09, 2019

This member provided her promo code to Viking while obtaining a quote. She failed to provide the code with our agent when getting a quote. Had she provided it, our company would have saved roughly $1700 in member savings. The member could have followed the procedures regarding price guarantees that they agreed to but chose not to.

Customer Response • Aug 12, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
it was never explained to us about a promo code to TSI. The $1700. discount referenced by TSI would only match the price given to us by Viking. At issue is the first price quoted to us by Viking which was $3000 more than we subsequently got from Viking. It seems that the real issue here is a bait and switch operation which is, realistically, fraud. No one at the meeting mentioned that we, and others, would have to run the gauntlet to even get a response to our questions. In addition, *** mentioned a board meeting on August 8th and promised a call back on the 9th. No such call back was made. Our only recourse now is to go to the Attorney General in South Carolina to, hopefully, initiate and bring a lawsuit against this unscrupulous company.

They represent falsehoods. This company is a SCAM. I found out 2 hours after their presentation and called to cancel immediately. They refused.
This company has a banner in their lobby and in their presentation stating they are ACCREDITED with the Revdex.com". It is a LIE. Their company they sell for is but this location Charleston is NOT. We relied on that information as a safety net only to find out all the complaints and NON ACCREDITATION with the Revdex.com. Sit through their lying presentation. You will see it yourself. They also imply they represent DISNEY and other large travel and vacation companies. They do not. I called Disney Customer Service to confirm this and they said they have had several calls regarding this company.

Desired Outcome

I want a complete refund of both of my credit cards for a total of 7593.00

Exclusive Platinum Travel Response • Aug 09, 2019

We reached out in an attempt to reach a resolution. The customer refused any settlement offer and threatened our employees and vandalism of our office. Out company at no point mis-represented our relationship with the Revdex.com or Disney. The customer signed a binding contract, agreeing to all terms, we stand ready and willing to perform our duties as outlined the the agreement and expect the customer to do the same.

Customer Response • Aug 14, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This response is just an example of the continued dishonesty. I nor my wife have ever threatend any vandalism or anything of that nature. We did threaten (and will do) to show up at their site with several people to legally picket and demonstrate their fraudelent activities. I have a copy of every email sent to them. They continue to send us announments and emails and we respond "Thieves and Liars" on every one. We have asked them to stop and they continue so we are in the process of filing with the CFPB for the emails that continue to be sent. Furthermore we have NEVER recieved any offer to settle this. We filed with our credit card companies to dispute the charges. US Bank has confirmed they found our complaint correct and have refunded 2,000 of the money paid them, AMEX is still investigating for the remaining balance. If they want to settle then ask where that correspondence is? I certainly have none.
As far as misrepresentation I am willing to pay the salary for any of you to go sit through their presentation again to see exactly what they say. And when you you try and question them they get nasty. You will hear them tell you how they are the preferred Travel Service with Disney and others. They have a banner in their office for the Revdex.com as well. They have a form called the Membership Access license agreeement that has a line item stating" ...that all representations, either verbal or non-written will not be upheld by them..." So that means anything they say in their presentation that is not true- they cannot be held accountable. I did not check his box when I questioned it I was told "not to worry about it". That and Number 11 as well. It is horrible that a business like this exists in Charleston- a City we love to go to and will be coming back and spending thousands again in the community. I do plan to picket their office when we come again soon legally if this is not resolved. I am in good standing with several of our Congress members and am also requesting their assistance in investigating this. I simply want a refund but I am fully prepared and willing to file in Court if this is not resolved as well. We have never used their services even though they provided some sort of screen shot I could not read to AMEX. We did ask them to get a rate on a room for us to see if it was legitamate or not. We never stayed at the hotel and that can be confirmed. We requested it to see what rate they got and got a lower rate ourselves through Travelocity for the same venue. It was merely to show it was a scam as we knew we had a fight on our hands once we found out the scam. I can provide a receipt of the hotel we actually stayed at. We will happily pay them for the passes they provided to get us to sit through their presentation- I don't think we even used them if I remember correctly. Please let me know if I can provide any additional assistance. They have never booked nor have we stayed at anything from this SCAM company. We did log in once to see if their stuff was legitamate and to try and find a contact to cancel our account. They conveniently had no contact info on that site.

Exclusive Platinum Travel Response • Aug 23, 2019

We stand by our settlement offer our representative offered via phone conversation in which the member disconnected the line.

TSI International provides misleading, untrue claims of the discount services it provides, and gives no recourse for those seeking a refund.
While we were vacationing in Charleston SC, we were lured into viewing a presentation by TSI International with a promise of a hundred bucks. First, they indicated it would be a short presentation, which should have indicated a problem. It was several hours. But man, they presented themselves well, as Revdex.com accredited and promised savings of 40-60% off regular price on luxurious vacation spots. There were unbelievable deals they offered! Being that we wanted to be able to travel as a family, we felt drawn into the pitch because we have always wanted to take vacations as a family. Specifically we were looking at Disney, and they indicated we could do Disney at severely discounted rates. We paid this company $6593 on 9/14/17. When we got home, we looked over the information, and had second thoughts about it. After looking closer at the agreement we signed, we felt we were legally stuck. Nevertheless, we reached out to the sales people within 90 days and *** said he couldn't do anything but they would have to take it up to the "next level" and were going to discuss at their next meeting to see if they could "approve" of a refund. Of course they would not budge and were uncooperative. We felt stuck in this bait and switch game they played. We were devastated. We tried to see if we could use the service at all, since they wouldn't work with us on a refund. We used the service to hopefully get some benefit. We booked a few hotels with the service, but at no serious savings. Our membership has now lapsed because we have not needed any services. That is until now, we are looking at planning a trip. And because our membership has lapsed, we would have to reenroll to the tune of $200 to even SEE if they could offer us a deal. How ludicrous! I cannot even view the supposed "savings" they offer on their website. This company should be exposed for what it is. They are operating as a bait and switch company, preying on peoples desires to travel, preying on their heartstrings and misleading them. A scam!

Our account with them is #XXXXX, and we dealt with *** and *** is the person who got us to come into the office, and *** was the sales agent. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Desired Outcome

We would like a full and complete refund of $6593.00 as we requested back in 2017. We want a check made out to us in this amount and no further contact from TSI. We will not reach out to the media and share our experience if this is handled to our specification.

Pressured sale from TSI August 2018. After we purchased the travel program we tried to use it - properties we travel to are not included as promised
Pressure purchase - price was dropped when we said we were not prepared to make a decision at that moment - promised us that the types of properties we normally stay at would be included - not true - reviews of their properties are very poor - have asked for a refund - they have been calling us and emailing us to join for another year. We want our membership fees back -

Desired Outcome

We want a full refund

They left a voicemail that I did not respond to because I am NOT getting the product that they claim to offer, therefore, I have reached out to the Revdex.com for help in securing a full refund in the amount $4593.00 from TSI.

Exclusive Platinum Travel Response • Jul 17, 2019

This member signed a binding contract agreeing to all of the terms and conditions of the membership. Our membership guarantees pricing based on the terms and conditions in the agreed to contract. This member does not state any particular issue but simply wants to cancel the contract out of buyer's remorse. We have reached out to the member in an attempt to resolve the issue but the member refuses to communicate. We have made a fair effort to resolve the issue and ask the Revdex.com to remove/close the complaint. We stand ready and willing to fulfill our obligations as outlined the the membership agreement and expect the member to do the same.

Customer Response • Jul 20, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
TSI asserted that they were accredited by the Revdex.com with an A+ rating..MISLEADING!

I so distraught by the blatant misrepresentation of TSI as this product is not what it claims to be.

Therefore, once again I would like to receive a FULL REFUND of $4;593

They sold us a product under false representation.
Claming to be Accredited Revdex.com and a rating of A+, which they are not.
May 8 2019
We sat through a demonstration on saving money on traveling expenses. Travel Services International (TSI) told us that they were an Accredited business with Revdex.com and their rating is an A+ (there were several advertisements in the sales office - presentation stating this). They are selling a product that would give us significant discounts on traveling. They repeated the fact that they were Revdex.com accredited and have an A+ rating throughout their demonstration. The next morning, I found out that they were not Accredited business Revdex.com and their rating is a "D- ", as of May 9, 2019, now their rating is an "F" (07/01/19.) I called them within 24 hours of the purchase to cancel, because of the information they told us was a lie and expected a full refund. They told us they would have to call us back; they needed approval from the head office for the refund, but they never called back. They have a history for not calling back, check all the complaints that are against them for not calling back. When they did not call back that is when call *** Credit Card to start a claim (May 11, 2019).
06/21/19
*** informed us that TSI claims that we never called to cancel this purchase, but they lied. I have documentation of the phones call (date & time) that happen on May 9, 2019 to cancel and requested a full refund. *** is requesting additional information from me to process with this claim, in which I will glanding give them.
07/02/19 In closing
Travel Service International lied about their business creditability. I do not understand how this business is still up and running. What does it take for the Charleston's authority to close this business? How does Visa, Master Card, etc. due business with TSI, isn't there some kind of compliance that is required to do business with the public?

Desired Outcome

Travel Service International should refund my money and as will as to all the other customer (complaints). This business should be closed for their false representation.

Exclusive Platinum Travel Response • Jul 08, 2019

This customer signed a binding agreement and our company has met all terms. This customer also filed a dispute with their credit card company and lost the dispute due to our company meeting all terms of the agreement. We ask that you close this complaint and remove it.

Customer Response • Jul 14, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)

I do not want to close my claim with Travel Service International (TSI).

I spoked to one of the representatives (PW) on July 5th and he was very unprofessional. TSI representive was clearly not happy that I put a complaint in with the Revdex.com and with my credit card. He wanted me to remove it and to compromise. I said no, TSI sold us under false pretense of their product. I told him we call to cancel and asked for a full refund and they claimed they needed to talk to the corp office to get approval for the credit. They never called back. The conversation on July 5th with their TSI representive was that it takes time to get an approval and I said, it's been two months and we have not heard anything from you (TSI). They also have claimed to Bank of America that we never called; I have forwarded the proof to Bank of America that there were calls (then next day).
Bank of America (July 8) closed my dispute charges based on verbal promises.
TSI falsely (misleading) sold us of their creditability and when trying to express myself on the phone call on July 5th, I was told to shut up or I needed to get drunk, maybe then I would understand him. Why does anyone have to be bullied, berated, insulated to explain that they were not happy with the false information that was giving to us at the time of the sale and requested a full refund. Their representative had me so upset I could not talk to him anymore. I told him he was very unprofessional.
I am requesting a full refund; why would ANYONE do business with this organization. They lie to you, argue with you, berated you, bully you on the phone when they disagree with what you are trying to say.
Again, I am requesting a full refund. If TSI does not honor this request I will seek to hire a lawyer, but first, I will notify the Attorney of General of South Carolina of the situation.

Customer Response • Jul 21, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I was not yelling or screaming at their representative at any point during the conversation. They also accused me of this the first time when I called to cancel. Again, I was told by them that I was yelling and screaming, which I wasn't, so I gave the phone to my husband.
The entire conversation with this representative I was being bullied, berated, insulated and now falsely accused. He was totally unprofessional.
As previously, I am requesting a full refund. If TSI does not honor my request, I will notify Attorney General of South Carolina of the situation and proceed to hire a lawyer as needed. They falsely represented themselves, lie constantly, falsely accused us and then lied some more.

Exclusive Platinum Travel Response • Aug 12, 2019

We have reached out and offered a settlement to resolve the issue and refused any settlement. We ask you to close as resolved

I signed up for a discount travel service, they told me I would be able to get 40% to %60 off travel. When I went to use it they couldn't do it.
I joined TSI on May 15 2019,(member number XXXXX) at the time of the sale of the contract the sellers said that they would be able to get deep discounts from 40% to 60% on hotels specifically the two hotels I travel to each year. The Aruba Hilton they guaranteed me a price of $250 to $325 a night in January of 2020. They also said the Marriott at Corrando Island they could get rooms for $135 a night. When I went to book Aruba on May 27,2019 from January 23 to January 29,2020 they couldn't do it. They offered me a room for $1016 a night. I paid TSI $5,593 dollars by credit card for this discount service, I feel like this is bait and switch I went on their website and couldn't get any discounts comparably to what they told me. I can get a better deal at X-XXX-XX Aruba, for a room on those dates.*** the sales representative mislead me when he sold me this service contract. I feel that these people defrauded me and I wish to get my $5593 refunded to me. Because if they can't get me a discount for my room in Aruba on the Club Floor in the Tower for close to what they said that they could. I don't feel that they will be able to hold up their side of this contract.

Desired Outcome

I wish a full refund to my credit card because I do not believe that they can fulfill their part of the contract. As they told me on May 15,2019 when I joined TSI.

I made an original complaint about this company on May 15 2019, The company has resolved it's issues with me and everything has been resolved.
Resolved with the company tom, customer satisfaction. Every thing has been resolved.

We were sold a product which promised significant savings and after investigation it does not.
We were pulled off the street in Charleston, SC on Feb. 5, 2019 and offered gifts for attending their presentation the next day Feb. 6, 2019. We went to the presentation and were impressed by the advertised Revdex.com accreditation and savings offered. I asked if we could delay purchase and come back at a later date, but was told the offer was good for that day only. We started to leave and they came back with an offer that gave us 13 weeks per year for nearly half what was originally offered. Mike the presenter was very persuasive and we were told there was no risk as there is a 5 year money back guarantee, so we signed up. After returning home I got on the TSI site to look for rooms in the cities we visit most often and discovered there were really no savings, I've gotten better deals through AAA and Trivago. My husband called and was directed to *** who said he would call back in 24 hrs., after 72 hrs. my husband called *** back and was told we had signed a contract. After more investigation we found they had lied about their Revdex.com accreditation. My husband called back again and *** returned that call in a few days. My husband said we have a money back guarantee and want a refund. The representative *** used a curse word and just kept talking over my husband stating we had signed a contract. I got on the line and he did the same thing not letting me speak and speaking over me stating over and over we had signed a contract, this was May 3 and he was supposed to get back with us and we've heard nothing. I feel their lies and misrepresentation have invalidated any contract we signed. We have not and will not use their service and just want our $4543.00 we paid back.

Desired Outcome

Full refund of money paid $4543.00

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
We are not satisfied with their proposal, we need a full refund as they lied and misrepresented the service that was offered. Again they stated in the original presentation that they were A+ rated with the
Revdex.com, this lie alone should make the contract null and void, they also said we had nothing to worry about, if we were not satisfied, which we are not, we had a money back guarantee, this was mentioned 4 or 5 times in the presentation. The presentation was made by *** who says he has everything on film, which I doubt because it was prove our point.

The prices promised through this club's membership were greatly falsified. This is NOT what they promised I would be buying into.
In march, my girlfriend and I too a vacation to Charleston. On the way into town, we stopped at a welcome center. There they offered us a couple tours to listen to a presentation. We figured why not, a couple hours to get a couple tours, so we signed up.

We went to the presentation the next morning, and sat through the video. During the video, we were told about annual passes to Disney World (Platinum) being available for $221. This is about a fourth of the usual cost, and since we live right by Disney, of interest to us.

They finished the video and came to talk to us individually, wherein we asked about some more prices: cruises for $199 for both of us, balcony cabins, $225 for 2 planes tickets and a car rental for a week in Wisconsin dells (from Orlando) in early may, a round trip flight for one to the manila and a week in the manila hotel for a week.

Based on these prices, we thought it would be worth it to join. We were told it would take three days for membership to go through and gain access to the website.

When I went to try and book these promised rates, they were at least four times the quoted rate. I called up and was told 'you signed a contract' - yes, I did, based on prices quoted in the presentation. This is the worst type of bait and switch. They blatantly lied about rates and I want the membership fee back.

There are many more people who have had the same experience based on the Revdex.com website, I just wish I had checked here before attending the presentation.

Desired Outcome

I want the money that I paid for this useless membership back. They blatantly lied about the prices available through the club.

This is a complete lie by TSI, which should be expected by now. I have responded to every call by them that came through my phone in regards to a settlement. Please send all future correspondence through the Revdex.com, so that there is an impartial third party to keep the negotiations honest.

Have contacted them for a refund as the product savings is a LIE and keep getting the run around.
Date of purchase was l11/23/2018.
Have since stayed at various places and was offered "was not a discount". I was offered the same price as the one available

Desired Outcome

Full REFUND

False presentation of product they are selling. Not Revdex.com accredidated and no Revdex.com, A+ rating even though their signs boast of both.
On December 18, 2018, we were lured into TSI by promises of free activities. While there *** pitched a discounted travel plan. They repeated the fact that they were Revdex.com accredited and had an A+ rating. They gave us examples of unbelievably cheap travel if we purchased their product. This was only available if we signed today for the discounted rate. They gave examples like go to Hawaii with 14 people for $6,200.00 including round trip airfair and our accomadations. Also, they said we could get Alaska for 2 people airfair and accomadations with 5 day cruise and 5 day inland for 2,200.00. We told them it sounded to good to be true. They claimed that they cut out the middle man, payed for no advertisement, and that these prices were available anytime we wanted up to 10 times per year. We signed the contract (member number XXXXX)for $7,593.00. After researching this company on line that evening, with all the Revdex.com complaints we decided that we should cancel. Less than 24 hours after the contract was signed we returned to TSI at 140 East Bay Street, Charleston, South Carolina where Charlene Kovach accepted the letter and told us she could not grant the refund but *** could do it when he got back. We called on 12/14/18 twice to check on refund. At 5:09 pm we received a phone call from *** where he called us a liar and tried to talk us out of cancelling the contract. At that point he told us that a refund had to go through the main office and that he would call them in the morning to set up the cancellation. That call never came. On 12/18/18 I called them back to find out about my refund. *** returned the call at 11:55 am. He said we had no good reason to cancel the contract and offered me $1,000 refund to nullify the contract. I told him, "NO, I expect a full refund." He said we have to talk to someone at the main office and that they would be calling me. Again that call never came. This company lured us in, lied to us about the product, and after the contract is signed fraudulantly inform you there is no right of rescenssion in the state of South Carolina.

Desired Outcome

We are seeking a full refund of $7,593.00. We have never utilized this service and never will therefore, a full refund is expected.

Visited them in August 2018, was told to expect significant discounts on travel. That is not the case.
We purchased this in August 2018 after seeing the "benefits" of what they said they could do for us. We are frequent cruisers and they told us they could save us alot of money using them to book our cruises and any kind of vacations we would like to take. After looking on line at cruises and comparing to the price they could give us, we reached out and spoke with *** who told us he would have someone else call us and give us a better price and if it wasn't significant he would refund us our money no questions. Well after waiting a few days, we received emails about the pricing. Yes it looked good on paper until we realized that they took advantage of the same thing we could which was a President's Day Sale. At that time my husband reached back out to *** and told him that they savings wasn't what in the ballpark that he was told. *** was very rude to my husband and when my husband explained that he had seen some complaints on the Revdex.com and he had thought about placing one, *** told my husband that he could have that complaint gone in a day and that it wouldn't matter. We only want what is fair and honest. I also saw in the lobby of this facility that it was backed by the Revdex.com, which is not a true statement.

Desired Outcome

A full refund of our investment.

We have reached a resolution and resolved the issue

in Charleston,SC 2-18-18 I Was approached by a sales rep for TSI while I was walking on the st. I watched a film and sales pitch for discount travel.
I purchased a discount travel plan from TSI with a fee of 3,593.00 with my visa card. after speaking with the sales rep Mike, I was lead to believe this was a wise investment. I am a senior citizen and I am retired. I noticed many other seniors at the meeting as well. I have read many similar complaints on line. The prices they advertise on line for hotels, don't match what they tell you when you try to book. they say those prices we advertise chg daily, yet it still is listed online. I have yet to be able to book a trio a yr latter, do to they're dishonesty. I believe this is a scam called bate and switch. I have tried to call and have talked to management several times, with no results. its very frustrating to get anywhere. They refuse to reimburse me my money. they continue to send me additional cost for yearly fees. I have not responded because it isn't what I purchased. I hope you can step in and help me get my money back. thank you

Desired Outcome

i am just trying to get reimbursed 3593.00.

Misrepresentation of Benefits by Travel Services International.
On July 11, 2018, my wife and I listened to a presentation by TSI while in Charleston, SC. They claimed at the beginning, that they were Revdex.com accredited, which we later discovered was not true.
Following the presentation, TSI employee, *** sat at our table to answer questions. I concluded the package would be of no benefit to us, as we do not take cruises or visit resorts. Our travels include hotels or VRBOs on trips to visit family.
*** wanted to prove what they could do for us. After supposedly calling corporate, he returned with figures on a yellow sheet of paper, showing the cost to us of an 8 week stay in a 2 bed/2 bath VRBO in Hendersonville, NC from June 15 - August 15, 2019. One set of figures showed our cost, using our 4 condo-weeks benefit. The other was using the platinum benefits, (the membership we were considering was platinum).
Both of these figures were considerable less that we were paying for a VRBO in Hendersonville at that time. With this information, I concluded that over a 3 year span, we could recoup the $6,593 cost for the TSI membership. We were also told that the 4 condo weeks, included in the membership could be broken up and used for hotel rooms.
Since that time, after booking some hotel rooms and a VRBO in Hendersonville for 2019, we discovered that *** had misrepresented what the benefits could be used for, and also grossly distorted the proposed figure for the VRBO in 2019. Our actual cost will be over 2 1/2 times what he quoted.
For a $6,593 membership fee, all they can do for us is a small discount on hotel rooms, and even that we have been unable to verify. When my wife questioned the legitimacy of the business in an email, she received an extremely rude phone call from supervisor, ***, who said he was greatly offended, that he could end the call at any time, and if there was any more negative comments or questions about TSI, he would hang up on her.
Thank you for your time

Desired Outcome

Because of the misrepresentation of the sales staff of Travel Services International, I believe this was a dishonest presentation in which we were an innocent party. We would never have become involved with this company if the benefits had been explained truthfully. For this reason, we feel that at least somewhat of a refund should be in order.

Exclusive Platinum Travel Response • Jan 14, 2019

Our company has never asserted that we are "accredited" by the Revdex.com. Our fulfillment partner company is accredited and our customers are informed of such if asked. In addition, time of booking plays an essential role in price quotes. A quote given at any particular time can change based on availability and advanced notice. Our members are protected by the price guarantee and agree to these terms at the time of purchase. We have attempted to reach out to these members to come to a resolution but they refuse to answer calls. We would be glad to talk to them and come to a resolution but they would need to respond to our inquiries.

Misleading and false sales presentation promised travel services and discounts that we are unable to obtain.
We attended a 90 minute presentation given by Travel Services International (TSI) on behalf of the travel club Save on Resorts. The presentation described substantial savings on hotels, cruises, tours and weekly timeshares that could not be found elsewhere, cruises and tours discounted by 40-60% off, hotel prices reduced 30-50% or more, and weekly timeshares with amazingly low prices. Unfortunately we fell for the sales pitch.

We received our membership logon information six days after becoming members. After using the website and speaking with several vacation specialists, we found that in reality cruise prices reflected the prices found on the cruise lines and other travel websites, hotel prices were the same as what we could find on our own using other travel websites and low timeshare prices were only available off season, not for the dates we were actually interested in.

After using the tsimembers.com website and speaking with several personal vacation specialists we have concluded that the substantial discounts and membership benefits described to us cannot be readily obtained and TSI engaged in deceptive and misleading practices during the sales presentation.

We requested membership cancellation and a refund from TSI and were contacted by a representative of Save on Resorts a week later. We were told that we hadn't used the website in a manner that allowed us to see the full savings that were available and that we could not get a refund without first booking travel with them and proving that we unable to save money. He also provided a VIP phone number and found a discounted price for a cruise that we had earlier tried to find on their website. After speaking with him, we tried using the website again and were still unable to find significant savings for the trips we want to take. We also found numerous consumer complaints about Save on Resorts & TSI. At this point, we do not trust TSI or Save on Resorts and wish to cancel the membership and obtain a refund with your help!

Mrs *** purchased our membership in our office with her friend. Her and her friend split the cost of the membership each paying half on separate credit cards. Mrs *** was given immediate access to the membership via our customer service hotline prior to her online membership being activated. In addition Mrs *** was given several quotes for vacation including one quote showing a discount of 40 percent. While members are provided with steep discounts, our program offers a price guarantee when/if a member finds a cheaper rate. We have given Mrs *** and her friend an automatic upgrade of the membership at no additional cost and have elevated their membership status providing them with management monitored customer service. In addition, we have offered compensation in an attempt to ease their buyers remorse.

Does not deliver discounts offered; difficult to contact other than a sales person for issue resolution; locked in to billing without permission.
My husband and I were convinced partly by their claim to be Revdex.com approved to purchase their 50% travel discount package in Oct 2017. After one year we have been offered no discounts that we did not find ourselves; in fact, their leads take us to the standard travel discount sites. It is impossible to get hold of a customer service representative and the sales people offer one option and then do not respond to further calls. We had only one successful interaction among multiple attempts. It has been frustrating and we felt robbed of money we would not have paid for this lousy service. When I recently had to renew for another year or lose the initial investment, I reluctantly did renew, throwing good money after bad, after trying to get a conversation with a customer service rep. But then I received an email stating I had been locked into automatic renewal every year with that card, something not proposed or agreed to. I entered into this expensive contract in good faith that they would save me money and they are simply taking more. This and all emails have a "no reply" so I feel trapped.

Desired Outcome

I would like a refund of the initial purchase price as well as renewal and to have the auto billing reversed so not perpetuating. I would like to be released from this contract on the grounds that they have not lived up to what they advertised and sold on the basis of benefits. It is not just that they cannot always find a cheaper price; they are a front for a service already free on the internet and they do not offer the discount they claimed to as well as lying about the Revdex.com approval.

Exclusive Platinum Travel Response • Nov 02, 2018

This member signed a contract and agreed to the cancellation policy. This member also voluntary renewed the membership. We have had multiple conversations with the member. Our service does indeed offer steep discounts and all of our members are protected by the price guarantee. In good faith, we have refunded this member the renewal fee and upgraded her membership at no cost.

Customer Response • Nov 08, 2018

I apologize for the delay. I have spent the last 48 hours working as an election judge in the midterm election.
I will accept the terms offered me by TSI. However I must say I was not satisfied with the experience. Our conversations had an element of attempting to convince beyond what I would call persuasion. It was forceful and presented like a bribe - I resolve the complaint with the Revdex.com and then they would carry out the offer. I felt pressured and waited until the harassment eased to consider the offer emailed. Customer Service did not serve me well and I am staying only because I have money invested and hope the relationship improves.

Final Consumer Response /(2000, 11, 2018/12/11) */

My wife and I attended a presentation in Charleston, SC. Very skeptical going in but decided to purchase with TSI. After booking our trip to Disney with the kids and seeing the savings we are very happy we became members.

Company presents themselves as reputable and accredited by the Revdex.com when in fact they are not.
Sales pitch promises discounted rates that will save you 40-85% off regular price and promotes themselves as accredited by the Revdex.com when in fact they are not. After further research the sales and destinations they promise aren't in fact available or are higher than what you can in fact book on your own without their membership. There is also no contact information given for the company outside of a name and phone number for the associate you work with. Buyer beware!

Desired Outcome

I wish to cancel and receive a refund.

James had strong commission breath. Very disrespectful and rude to my wife after we said no. Definitely a high pressure sale for 7 grand right now. Might be worth it and probably give people a few days to think it over probably bring more sales. We were on vacation and not going to give up our reserve credit card.
