Review: I tried to make a payment online but the pin number they gave me failed so I called to make the payment and got the run around from two people who finally turned me over to a recording. This is after they broke the agreement that as long as I made my monthly payments to them they would keep it off my credit report. I made four payments so far and they still put it on my credit report. I just want to pay the whole thing and be done.Desired Settlement: That they are legit and will give me a payout price, process my payment, and close the account.

Review: Fair Collections & Outsourcings, Inc .willfully waited till after it placed a negative remark on mine and my wife credit repot to mail a correct bill to us we first received a bill on 8/31/2012 witch was for $231 an inaccurate amount .we contact fco regarding the discrepancy and I was told to just pay it on 11/1/12 fco was giving the correct amount of $125.10 witch was not mail to us till after 11/21/12.and that information was provided to us by a rep at fco. we believe fco willingly place it on our credit knowing they never gave us an up to date bill . I talk to another rep for fco who offer us to have it remove once paid .I have all bills that was mail to us by fair collection & outsourcings available upon requestDesired Settlement: we would like for fair collection & outsourcings to remove all negative remark from both mine and wife credit report

Review: I received notification that account # [redacted] was sent to the above company on 10/2012 after trying to apply for credit somewhere. I was never made aware that there was a balance on the account. The last notification I received from the rent payment website showed a balance of $0 as of November. I assumed I had a $0 balance based on me checking the website after I received the email. I never received a letter or anything stating that I had a balance. I never received a letter or phone call from the FAIR COLLECTIONS & OUTSOURCING stating that I owed anything....so why is it showing up as a negative on my credit report. This is affecting my credit report.Desired Settlement: Remove item from collections

Review: fair collections and outsourcing has reported a collection account on my credit file to all 3 reporting agencies yet never did validation of debt.

I have been trying to get a detailed Validation of Debt from FCO for over a year now they never responded to my initial request which was placed back in May 2013 yet they keep reporting a collection from [redacted] Apts to all 3 credit agencies and send me collection notices every few months with a settlement offer. I have contacted the credit reporting agencies and also requested FCO to provide me a detailed Validation of Debt they say I owe. They are in violation of Fair credit Act rules and are claiming I owe for a debt they never verified which is willful noncompliance.Desired Settlement: Pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 USC 1692g Sec. 809 (b) that your claim is disputed and validation is requested.

I would also like to request, in writing, that no telephone contact be made by your offices to my home or to my place of employment. If your offices attempt telephone communication with me, including but not limited to computer generated calls or correspondence sent to any third parties, it will be considered harassment and I will have no choice but to file s

Review: I have two collection accounts where one is paid for and the other has been discharged from a Chapter 7 bankruptcy. I have tried disputing the collection since I am no longer liable and it won't delete. I have tried to contact the collection agency and they refuse to delete the collection. I think it's unfair to hold a collection over my head for years that is paid for or I am no longer liable for it.Desired Settlement: Delete both collections and ask all 3 credit bureaus to delete both collections from my credit report.

Review: After receiving the company's letter dated June 24 of this year (2013), on October 15 of this year I called them to make payment arrangements of $20 a month. The two customer service representatives cut me off on my constant basis, refused to answer any of my questions. The senior representative, whom was not a supervisor, refused to answer my question if I could make payment arrangements of $20 to keep this account satisfied, and in good standing until I am able to find a job. I tried to explain that I am a single mom, with no job, and I receive no child support and no alimony. I asked him if I could speak to a supervisor, he put on hold then came back on the line pretending to be a supervisor. I asked him again to allow me to speak to a supervisor and he said nothing but put me back on hold. At this point I was in tears and just hung up. This company is not willing to work with anybody on payment arrangements and will not listen to the consumer who is calling. I am extremely dissatisfied with the situation as I am trying with what little I have to keep this account in good standing and pay the debt off. I understand they do not have to accept payment but in this economy everyone has fallen on extremely hard times. It should be noted that I attempted to make payment arrangements and the company, Fair Collections and Outsourcing is only intimidating me and refusing to work with me on my account.Desired Settlement: I would like an apology from the customer service representatives, and would also like to speak to a supervisor so that I can make payment arrangements on the account and I also have a few questions I would like to ask. All I want is someone from that company to help me by working with me so that account can be put into good standing, and so I can start paying on this account so the debt can be paid off.

Business

Response:

FCO does not accept $25.00 monthly payments on a balance of $4,693.14. FCO also offered the consumer a discount of $3000.00 to pay in 4 monthly installments

Review: I was in the process of clearing all of my major debts to avoid filing for bankruptcy when I came upon FCO as one of my debtors. I called to try to reduce my debt and settle in full, but I was told that they needed approval from their client in order to follow through with my payment. I called every day for two weeks and asked every day if they got a hold of their client and I kept getting the same response "the client has not approved the settlement amount." I then took it upon myself to call the client directly. I got a response within seconds that the client is willing to take my offer and settle the debt in full. I then told the client that FCO has been trying to get a hold of them for a couple of weeks now and that I was glad that I got through. The client responded with "I never got any word from FCO about any settlement approval." I was a little puzzled at first because one would think that the client would want some money from me and since the client hired FCO to get the money from me, FCO should be doing everything in their power to satisfy the client and take my money to settle the debt.

I then called FCO and told them that the client has approved the settlement amount and that the client will call FCO in the morning to set an approval. FCO then notified me that when they got the approval from the client I would receive a call back from them to set up payment arrangements...a week later went by and I still did not get a call back. I decided to call FCO again and was curious to why I had not gotten a call back yet? They, in return, gave me the same response and told me that they have not heard from the client yet. I was a little frustrated by then, but decided to call the client again to see if maybe the client forgot about calling FCO. When I spoke to the client they told me that they left voice mails, emails, and even spoke to a representative about approving the settlement amount. Each time the client came into contact with FCO about the approval, they were told that the account will be notated...in reality it never was. Another week went by with me calling FCO every day, several times a day, along with calling the client every day to get this situation settled and done. The more I called FCO, the ruder and more disrespectful the representatives gotten. I was told by FCO that I will get a call back "that day," but never did. I was put on hold for twenty minutes at a time and then hung up on more than I can keep track of. I was even yelled at saying "You owe the client money and you need to pay them." I also had a rather odd conversation with the client with the client informing me that FCO told the client that FCO could get a higher settlement out of me so the client should not settle for what I am proposing.

All in all, I am going on my fifth week now and STILL am unable to pay the client off because FCO keeps giving me the run around and possibly lying to me about getting into contact with the client about accepting my settlement offer. I understand that I owe the client money and I am trying to give them my money, but FCO will not cooperate with me or the client in order to close my account. The client is frustrated, I am frustrated, and I do not believe that I nor the client deserve the disrespect, rudeness and ill manner we are both receiving from FCO and their representatives.

The ONLY person from FCO that was willing to talk to me with a kind voice and understanding was Andrea at [redacted]Desired Settlement: I just want to settle my account in full for the amount I and the client agreed upon within the end of June 2014. I believe I have waited long enough and endured enough pain, stress, and humiliation to make this happen. I do not wish to speak to anyone at FCO if they are going to be rude and hang up on me. FCO's job description is to collect money from debtors for their clients. Why does it take five weeks to do so when the client and the consumer are both cooperating?

Review: FCO is attempting to EXTORT money from me based on an account for which they have unverifiable grounds and no direct contract.

in 10/2013 I pulled a credit report to find that FCO was reporting an account that I had no knowledge of and in conjunction with an address I have never lived at. Per my rights under law according to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and The Fair Credit Reporting Act, I requested validation and verification of this alleged debt along with proof of contract I have with them. I also sent a cease and desist by phone as I was tired of being harassed and wanted legal validation in writing. They never sent this. I even asked a second time, still nothing. However they continue to try and extort money from me by reporting negative information on my credit report to this day. They are violating the law and my rights, furthermore I feel they are involved in creating false information on individuals and in turn mixing credit files with their reckless reporting. I recently reached out to 2 media outlets ( [redacted] and [redacted],as my uncle who works there encouraged me to do) to see if they would be interested in running a story on the Apartment complex that is reporting in conjunction with this collection company along with FCO and how collection agencies easily at will report false information and are having a direct impact on the ever increasing mixed credit file problem which is the same as identity theft. Hopefully with my story they can bring companies like this to justice and help consumers understand how these black market collection agencies exist and practice right in their own town.Desired Settlement: I am seeking complete deletion of the account #[redacted] from all credit reporting agencies along with any hard inquiries placed on my report

Review: fco is trying to collect a alleged debt that they claim I owe this debt was pr=urchased fromn a third party and they claim the brought it now I owe them I have no contract with the fco and I have not agreed to pay them if . they purchased it or not. ! thet entered into a aggrement with parkview to purchase this debt not myself there is no contract between me and fco and they have place it in collection on all three credit reports.! I have contacyed them and they refuse to remove it from my credit telling me they can do waht they want. They are violation my fair credit rights.Desired Settlement: I want this account removed ASAP frtom my credit

Review: FCO Has Not Removed their TL from my Credit Report, even though the debt has been paid in full!

Hello,

My name is [redacted]. I recently paid a debt in full with your company and I am requesting again that your Trade Line be removed immediately from my report with all 3 CRA's!Desired Settlement: I am requesting again that your Trade Line be removed immediately from my report with all 3 CRA's!

Review: The collection agency is attempting to collect a debt from a company that is no longer doing business under the name "[redacted]".Desired Settlement: Remove this collection action from all three major credit reporting agencies: [redacted], and [redacted].

Review: Fair Collections & Outsourcing: is this a scam?!

At the beginning, I thought it was some sort of scam to get my personal information because they would call ALL DAY and not tell me what company they worked for and only say 'its a personal matter.'

Now, for the past couple of weeks, I have attempted to settle a 'debt' that has been reported on my credit score. FCO has FAILED to provide any verification of debt upon MULTIPLE requests. The one time they attempted to provide verification, they sent me a lease with someone else's name on it. Each time I call, I get put to a different voice mail of 'managers.' I call everyday and leave multiple detailed messages for a return call or verification of debt, but no one follows up, yet this matter is not removed from my credit report.

A company should not be able to allege debts without any proof. I try time and time again to get any verification, but they cannot provide it.Desired Settlement: I want this company to remove my name and personal information from ALL records. I want my credit score repaired and I never want to have to deal with this terribly run company ever again.

Review: I called FCO to offer a settlement on an account or I would file a dispute. I was wrongfully charged outrageous fees, they said that I owe 3100 dollars. I only owed 750 and told them I would pay that. The representative on the phone was in a hurry and kept cutting me off. I asked for detailed breakdown on the charges on the account. She put me on hold to get me a settlement offer. When she came back she said that I could settle the account for 1700. I told her I was not, due to the fact that I LEGALLY do not owe that. Asked her to give me a detailed breakout of charges on account, and I was hung up on. I called back and after I was on hold for 15 minutes, got the same representative. Told her that she hung up on me, and she stated,"well you said you were not going to pay". I told her that she still needed to give me a fee breakdown, and information to send a dispute. After she went through that and gave me the information I needed, she said that couldn't go any lower on settlement and hung up on me again!!!

I was willing to pay what I owe, and they never bothered to work with me on resolving this. I am now filing a dispute as well as the complaint here.Desired Settlement: To have this company train there employees better at handling situations and this representative receive some sort of disciplinary action. Also, when does a collection company refuse to take a payment? I would like to have this resolved and I am still willing to pay what is legally owed.

Review: I have disputed a debt that is showing in collections on my credit reports listed by this company. I requested a debt validation by certified mail and was simply provided a sheet that had my name listed on it with some itemized charges. I asked for the following bits of information to confirm the validity of this debt as allowed by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act:

• Agreement with your client that grants you the authority to collect on this alleged debt. (NOT PROVIDED)

• Agreement that bears the signature of the alleged debtor wherein he/she agreed to pay the creditor. (NOT PROVIDED)

• Any insurance claims been made by any creditor regarding this account.

• Any Judgments obtained by any creditor regarding this account. (NOT PROVIDED)

• Name and address of alleged creditor.

• Name on file of alleged debtor. (NOT PROVIDED)

• Alleged account number. (NOT PROVIDED)

• Address on file for alleged debtor.

• Amount of alleged debt.

• Date this alleged debt became payable. (NOT PROVIDED)

• Date of original charge off or delinquency. (NOT PROVIDED)

• Verification that this debt was assigned or sold to collector. (NOT PROVIDED)

• Complete accounting of alleged debt. (NOT PROVIDED)

• Commission for debt collector if collection efforts are successful. (NOT PROVIDED)

In addition, Florida Statutes 83.49(3) says that tenants must give notice to impose a claim and must be sent by certified mail within 30 days and sent to the last known address of the tenant. There is no validation that this was done properly as well.Desired Settlement: I want the information that was requested that was not given as indicated by the "(NOT PROVIDED)" designation. I want this debt removed from my credit report from all three major credit bureaus and all attempts to contact me to cease and desist.

Review: My lease ended with The [redacted] of [redacted] on August 25, 2013 ([redacted] Property Management). I was charged for a stain on the carpet, and rightfully so (although a bit much). Approximately 1 week later I received the bill at my new residence with the itemized charges. It included one other charge, in which they removed a portion of the fees because a parking decal had indeed been returned. Within 4 days Fair Collections placed the total due as a negative collections on my credit report. There was not adequate time between receiving the bill and it being recorded as negative account. When the woman did call, she was very rude because I could not answer the phone. She went on to state "I don't know why you aren't answering since you called me requesting this information." Because I had a roommate, this is a "joint adverse account" and I was not the person who called. In fact, when she called it was when I was made aware of bill being sent to collections. I have proof of my move out date, and feel as though 8 business days later including the time that the letter was mailed is not enough time lapsed before reporting this as a negative debt. I wasn't going to pay the remainder, all though some payments have been made because of how this situation was handled. But in the long run, I'm the one to suffer when this could have been avoided if their practices were ethical.Desired Settlement: My desired outcome is to have this debt removed from my credit report and my roommates report in its entirety if I make the final payment (not just paid/closed or settled, but REMOVED). I feel although this charges are absurd, I was not given adequate time to make any payments or arrangements.

Review: I recently came across a large charge on my credit report that I wasn't aware of and decided I should take care of it. I called the company to see what could be done and got the runaround. "I can't tell you what we can do unless you are willing to pay the full amount today." "Do you have this much in your account", “I can't tell you what we can do to help take care of this until you tell me if you are willing to pay the full amount today first" It went on and on. I called back to talk to a supervisor because I just wanted to get it paid and he was even worse! Kept yelling about how he was trying to help me but if I wasn’t going to pay them the full amount now there would be “legal repercussions”. I asked, “are you willing to take it off my credit report, yes or no? I'm not going to agree to pay the entire amount if you are not going to remove it” and he was really nasty and said no, not for you. Then they had someone else call me. Fist she said she wanted to know what the problem was then she went into the we are trying to help you and why won’t you pay the full amount now or there will be legal repercussions.” Not 15 minutes after I hung up on the last guy who yelled at me that I called.

I was prepared to pay the entire thing if they would take it off my credit report or I saw online that I could negotiate a settlement with them. I was threatened and treated so rudely I can't believe these people are allowed to treat people like this!

They need to be stopped!Desired Settlement: I want an apology from [redacted] for the way he talked to me and threatened me, I want a reduced settlement and I want it removed from my credit report.

Review: I currently have an outstanding debt due to back rent from an old apartment. This total amount due to FCO is $9,271. In 2010 I asked to settle the debt with them at which time they offered me a settlement of approximately $4,600. I ended up becoming pregnant with my first child and had a rough pregnancy and soon left my job and stayed home for the remainder of it. This hindered any chance of me repaying this outlandish debt. Fast forward 4 years, I asked for another debt settlement and they came back with an offer of $5,099. This is scheduled to fall of my credit soon however I really want to settle this debt. They gave me this most recent settlement with only 3 months to pay it off. These people know that I'm a single mother of a small child and I have been a full-time student for the past 3 years. I literally live off of my student loans and there is absolutely no way I could ever pay this amount. My guess is that they are hoping that I accept the offer, which by the way increased four years later, and default so that they can hold me accountable for the entire original amount. I have been on the brink of homelessness multiple times because apartments see a debt of this magnitude and refuse to rent to me. I am currently dealing with that exact situation as my current home's owner is facing foreclosure, forcing me to move. I have no idea what I am going to do at this point and I am really scared. The people that work at FCO are rude and sneaky and are putting a dollar sign ahead of human necessity which is shelter. They could not care less what my situation is or that I will never have this kind of money. They continue to re-report the debt to the credit bureaus. This debt was not damage related and was written off by [redacted]. FCO continues to lie to me and tell me that [redacted] is the company that is negotiating the settlement amount and that they have nothing to do with it. This company is brutal and it's really unfortunate that a mother and child could be homeless because these people are too hard-nosed to negotiate a practical pay-off amount that satisfies every party involved. I don't know who the supervisor is half the time and they purposely "screen" my calls when they transfer me because I have called so many times in an effort to negotiate. It's just pathetic. This debt is almost 6 years old. This is by far the worst company and the rudest, most unforgiving people with little care for single mothers.Desired Settlement: $1,655 which is $9,271/84 months =$110 multiply that by 15 months which is 7 years from the date I first went delinquent on this account and that's should be my pay off.

Review: I spoke with FCO numerous amounts of time before settling the debt with them in all of my communications with FCO the representative stated that the items would be removed from my report if I paid them and I did so upon me paying in December I have not seen any removal and the company consistently disputes me requesting removal even though their representative stated that they would be removed. I emailed [redacted] she has not replied to my emails or calls. I am requesting a full removal of both items within 30 days or I will file a lawsuit.Desired Settlement: Removal of the debt off of my credit report

Review: I very recently tried to obtain a mortgage with my Husband and was not able to because of previous collection accounts that were from the past and are now settled and at a $0.00 balance. Fair Collections and Outsourcing is currently reporting on all three credit bureaus as a Negative Factor due to it previously being a collection account. This account is now paid and I am begging Fair Collections and Outsourcing to delete this from my credit report. Due to this reporting as a collection on my account it is withholding me from obtaining a mortgage. I have been working very hard to improve my credit since January and everything is now paid, but these Negative accounts and collection status' are bringing my FICO score down. I am please asking that this Fair Collections and Outsourcing account be deleted from all three credit bureaus so I can have the opportunity to purchase my first home. We all made mistakes when we were younger and I have corrected all of mine and am just asking for a break. Please help me, and request that the credit bureau's delete my Fair Collections and Outsourcing account. Thank You.Desired Settlement: I am please asking Fair Collections and Outsourcing to request the three credit bureaus to delete the reporting of my Fair Collections and Outsourcing account as it is preventing me from obtaining a mortgage due to its negative impact and previous collection status.

Review: While applying for an apartment, I cannot remember the name of which, sometime in 2009 I was informed of a collection on my credit placed by Fair Collections on behalf of [redacted]. When I called [redacted] to inquire I spoke with [redacted], the property manager, and was informed that they had no record of this. When I asked how I was to proceed in getting this resolved he offered to write me a letter stating that I was released of any obligation that I may owe them.

While I did not move forward with that particular apartment community, I have held onto this letter since receiving it in hopes that I would be able to get this collection account removed should I ever need to.

On November 30, 2012 I began to rebuild my credit with the hope of homeownership in the near future. I disputed this collection with all 3 credit bureaus and was surprised to learn that this collection had not been removed at the end of the 30 day period. I provided [redacted] with a copy of this letter, which states that I am released of any obligation I may owe to [redacted] / [redacted] during my mortgage application process.

After receiving conditional loan approval from [redacted] on April 3, 2013 for the purchase of my home, and reviewing the conditions, one of which is to satisfy this collection and have it removed my credit report, I contacted Fair Collections Directly to request that they remove this from my credit file. I provided them a copy of the letter on April 4th and was informed that they would verify this with the creditor. I provided them with contact information for me and was told that they would get back to me when they have verified this information. I called again several days later and was informed that they have not been able to get in touch Merion Realty and that it may take some more time. I placed several more calls to Fair Collections inquiring as to the status, and received the same answer; they were still awaiting a response from [redacted]. With gaining frustration, I placed a call to Fair Collections on April 24th, 20 days after requesting them to remove this, and was directed to a [redacted], a manager with Fair Collections. He explained to me that the letter I received from [redacted] is not substantial enough for them to remove this from my report as it is not, in fact, a letter of release. With that information in mind I was offered a 50% settlement through them and agreed to pay them on the spot. He then said he would have to get the go-ahead from the original creditor as they do not have ownership of this account and that he would get back to me by 3PM that day. I did not hear from him that afternoon. I called back the next morning with hopes of good news, and to be able to get this put behind me and move forward with the loan approval process, which is necessary as I am now under contract for the purchase of my home. I spoke with a man named [redacted] and was informed at that time that they still had not heard back from [redacted]. With time running out in my purchase contract, and with fear that I was in fact getting the “run-around” I placed a call to a number for [redacted] that I found on the internet and spoke with a woman there named [redacted]. I inquired as to why they had not gotten back with Fair Collections and was astounded to hear from her that she had not received any correspondence from them at all. She informed me that the only person that had contacted her was someone regarding the processing of my mortgage, and that she had verified with them that there is no record of me there. She has supplied me with an updated letter confirming this information, thus supporting the original letter that was supplied to me in 2009, and ultimately releasing me of any obligation that I may have to [redacted] and [redacted].

I ask that you please help me in resolving this matter with Fair Collections and Outsourcing, and ask them to remove this from my report immediately prior to the costly and time consuming legal matter that is sure to ensue.Desired Settlement: Remove this collection from my credit immediately and provide me a letter of intent to do so sent to my email: [redacted] immediately
