Review: Wanting to consolidate my school loans, I contacted this company. They got some information over the phone and sent a (blank signature) copy form to my email with other information typed in from the phone conversation. I contemplated signing it, and decided not to go through with it. This morning (10/17/2014) I saw a withdraw from my bank account and located 2 withdraws from other months as well. I called them to ask them what was going on, and they told me I basically signed up for services, which is not true. Then they sent me a completed copy of a signed and dated application with my forged signature, forged initials, and computer-entered date. I am frustrated that this has happened, and am requesting a refund of the funds that were withdrawn from my account and a stop from all future withdrawals.Desired Settlement: A refund of $371.25 and a stop from all future withdraws.

Hi [redacted]

We went ahead and spoke to [redacted] (I do not have his case #) in regards to the complaint he filed against us. Just to make it a bit easier for you to understand I will explain the circumstances. When I spoke to [redacted] a couple of weeks ago he requested cancellation and a refund of his account, he wanted services terminated and claimed the contract sent to him electronically had been forged. It was explained to him he was not eligible for a refund since the processing of his consolidation had already been started. Shortly after I received notice of the Revdex.com complaint and started handling the matter by contacting [redacted] who then referred me to you [redacted]

Confusion blindsided me when I was informed by our processing department that [redacted] has been working with them hand in hand on a weekly basis providing needed documents and information not ever mentioning complaints filed etc….. Our office manager [redacted] picked up his call this morning (10/31/14) and advised him we had put the processing of his file on hold until we further made contact in regards to what his final decision is.

He decided to remain a client with our company. We did waive his last enrollment installment fee as a courtesy. [redacted] promised to retract his complaint filed with the Revdex.com so we may continue to work on helping him benefit from our services.

Review: I was told by 2 different representatives of this company to consolidate my student debt, while still in school, to go ahead and start making payments. I was charged nearly $800 to begin this process. I found out from the FedLoan servicer that this is a free process and can only be completed once I am out of school. I was charged money and made to believe that I needed to start the process now, which are false statements. I was also told I would be on the 10 year forgiveness program, and it looks like that might have also been a false statement.Desired Settlement: I would like all my money refunded to the card it was taken from. Immediately.

Response:

Client was advised that the process would not start until she was out of school. The documents provided is the consolidation that was pushed forward and submitted. Through the process, it is indicated that the consolidation would wait til she was out of school. The client took upon herself,at some point in time after the correspondence on 03/07/2014, to speak to the Servicer herself to change whatever we had put in place for her best interest. We did service the client as specified in our contract, however client interfered by changing route of correspondence designated to return to us. She is still eligible for programs that the Servicer may not inform her about. Please see attached documents and contract were we serviced the client as stated in the contract.

Thank you for your time,

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

When I called the Federal Student Loan Alliance, I was specifically told to consolidate now so I could start making payments while in school. When I called the Servicer, they canceled the consolidation because I am still in school, and informed me that I was charged for a free process. I was then referred to the Revdex.com. They told me my loans could not stay "in process" until my graduation in December. I spoke to them because that is where my loans were being processed and I was no longer getting any assistance from the Federal Student Loan Alliance. Because the process never went through, a refund is ideal.

Business

Response:

To Whom It May Concern:

We are refunding the file for the amount of $795.00 to the credit card on file for this client.

In reviewing the details of the file it appears the enrollment status of the client was inadvertently overlooked with regard to the timing of the consolidation submission.

The consolidation was processed erroneously in advance of the completion date of the clients enrollment in school and was therefore cancelled by the DOE.

The DOE failed to notify FSLA of the cancellation and until this issue was researched to resolve this complaint the status of the consolidation was unknown.

Sincerely,

Client Services Manager

Review: 3/14 I contacted FEDERAL STUDENT LOAN ALLIANCE for help on my student loan garnishment. I spoke to [redacted] on the phone and told him my situation. He told me that they FSLA could help me and I agreed to the terms and started the process. [redacted] told me that they could get my payments where I could function. He quoted me a monthly payment and told me what to do to start the process. April 2014: After signing the papers and paying my fee, I was contacted by [redacted], I sent her paperwork for Power of Attorney so that she could speak on my behalf. We discussed options for consolidation with the US. Department of Education.

[redacted] contacted the US. Dept. of Education about consolidation and the teacher loan forgiveness program. They told her that I did not qualify for the program because I was being garnished. [redacted] contacted ASA to get my garnishment lifted and they told her that I needed to be in their 9 month rehab program. I was told not to do the program and we would request a hearing with the department of education. I sent the Department of Education a request for a hearing along with my financial papers. Three months went by and I did not hear from [redacted] or the Department of Education. I didn’t worry about it because I was told that the process could take at least 90 days to process. I contacted [redacted] and she told me that she had not heard. We called them together and they did not know who I was and they did not have any records. [redacted] was very rude to the person that answered the phone and I was very embarrassed. I thought it was unprofessional the way she talked to the Department of Education. Because I was in the middle of teaching one of my special education classes at the time, I ended my part of the phone call. [redacted] called me back later… She was told that I needed to do the 9 month rehab program with ASA to get my garnishment lifted. Now I am back to square one. Now that I have asked for a refund I am being ignoredDesired Settlement: I was told that if FSLA could not help me lift my garnishment and get me into the right program, I would get a 100% refund. I want my processing fee $1,142.00 and monthly payments back. $348.00 I would also like for them to stop taking $29.00 out of my checking account each month. They have not done any work for me in months.

Review: I contacted what I thought was a Federal Student Loan Forgiveness program. They allegedly were to help me set up my student loan payments. The company took $495 in fees from me, 3 different payments from my checking account, 12/1/14, 1/30/15, and 2/15/15. They told me the payments would start to come out of my account in April. When I called to see what date and how much the payments would be, the numbers are disconnected.

Contacts include: [redacted], initial contact, [redacted], Student Loan Processor, [redacted]Desired Settlement: I hope that these people are stopped, and that I will have my money refunded. Please let me know if I need to change my bank account information.

Thank you for your help!

Review: I contacted the website because I thought it was a legitimate government website. It was not and they asked for my pin number and social security number.I realized when I went onto a legitimate government website for student loans that the other website was a commercial website. The gentleman at the government website said if I wanted to file a complaint to go online to the Revdex.com. Trying to terminate service.Unable to reach contact person and have been unable to reach anyone for over a month by email or by phone.Desired Settlement: To resolve the problem, I would appreciate your company returning the $275 processing fee that I paid. Also, the $29 fee that was charged on March 17th should be refunded. I would also like my account canceled and feel that I should not incur any other fees for termination as no service has been performed. They also have my Social security number and I want to ensure that it will not be used in any way.

Review: I contacted Federal Student Loan Alliance to get help with paying my student loan debt. Once I realized that it was a scam, I contacted them via telephone, fax, mail and email to inform them that I no longer wished to use their services and since I did not follow through with the complete enrollment that I was requesting a refund of all money they had deducted from my account (even after they received my letter stating I did not authorize them to deduct any other monies from my account). I then received several emails from them stating that they were going to refund my money in full. That was in November 2014, to date, I have not received any refund from them and now they do not respond to emails and their telephone number has been disconnected.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of the $711.00 that was taken out of my checking account.$198.33 on 10/3/14, 11/3/14 & 12/3/14$29.00 on 10/15/14, 11/15/14, 12/15/14 and 1/15/15.

Review: I engaged in business with Federal Student Loan Alliance to consolidate student loans. At the time of business, it was determined that I would engage solely in the consolidation of the loans and that I would NOT partake in any of their monthly monitoring services ($29.00 a month) as the type of loan I chose was a 20-year standardized loan that I had zero interest in altering throughout the life of the loan. As the company's monitoring service is primarily in place to regularly assess a client's loan type for those interested in later altering their consolidation type, and I had and have never wanted anything but a singular consolidation (remaining fixed through the life of the loan), I confirmed with multiple representatives that I would pay the one time consolidation fee and opt out of any loan monitoring. On four different occasions billing has once again arbitrarily begun, each time requiring me to contact the company to have them reverse the charges. In this latest instance (apparent on a charge on my February 2015 debit account) billing has once again ensued. The company will not answer their phone or return the multiple messages I have left. I fear that since they have my routing/account number they will continue these potentially criminal practices.Desired Settlement: I want this company to provide me with a written statement declaring that they have erased my debit account number and routing number from their system as well have them reinburse the $29.00 dollars (and any charges that ensue in the subsequent days and months).

Review: I signed a contract with Federal Student Loan Alliance 6/25/14 to manage my enrollment process in the Federal Student Loan Forgiveness program. I was set up with a payment plan to pay the enrollment fee of $[redacted], payed in 4 installments. From the initial date of contract, I spoke directly with [redacted] and [redacted] and my calls were promptly returned and issues resolved. On 7/25/14 [redacted] contacted me and requested Limited POA, Proof of Income, and 2 references. These items were completed and returned to them within 7 days. After my final payment was made 9/5/14, I waited for the Loan Package that [redacted] explained would be sent to me once all my payments were made to arrive. I did not receive anything and contacted the agency to follow up and ensure they had received everything they needed form me. I was directed to [redacted] who explained that the people I had dealt with previously were no longer with the company and the only paperwork missing was Employment Verification. That was emailed to me and I sent it directed to my HR directed who then informed me that our practice did not qualify because we are a for profit agency. I immediately contacted [redacted] and informed her of this situation and on 9/30/14, formerly requested my funds to be returned. She told me it would be returned in 8-10 business days. I let 15 days pass and contacted to agency, again requesting my refund. I have not received any response to my requests since that time. I have contacted [redacted] (Operations Manager) and [redacted] who I was told resolves complaints. Not once has any message or email been returned and I still have not received my refund. I have also called the main number and requested to speak to a supervisor and was sent directly to [redacted]'s voicemail. I have not been rude at all, however, I feel this company is purposefully not responding or refunding my money despite telling me on 2 separate occasions it would be refunded in 7-10 days.Desired Settlement: I want my money refunded. I was told my [redacted] at the end of September that my employment verification should have been the first step in the process. This entire situation could have been avoided had the correct steps been taken. I have provided every piece of information that has been requested in a timely manner. I verbally provided my employer name and address when I initially signed the contract 6/25/14/ along with financial and student loan information.

Good Afternoon,

Attached please find [redacted] file including the signed contract with our company. [redacted] indeed cancelled services with us but is ineligible for a refund due to services already rendered. As stated in page 2 paragraph 6 of our contract once our processing department begins working on a clients file and documents are sent out there is no refund due if a cancellation occurs.

[redacted] our company President is in and out of the office currently undergoing intense medical treatment. [redacted] demanded answers and a refund she had already been told she was not eligible for. Upon her persistence of wanting to speak to someone other than the representatives that had attempted to help she was referred to Mr. [redacted]

Our company believes to be in the right as our company policy is clearly stated in our contract and the client acknowledges this policy by agreeing to it with their initials on the right hand corner. [redacted] did receive benefit from our services by being placed in a different repayment program than she was originally in making her payments lower. Our answer and decision in regards to this case remains the same no refund is due to this client.

Review: This company did not properly disclose information about my re consolidation of my student loans. I was ensured that the amount that I paid them would be applied to my student loans. This was not the case. They pocketed the money. In addition they informed me that they will fill out the paperwork to have my loans to 303.00 monthly. They filled it out falsely and I had to pay 478.00. I then had to request a forbearance to decrease the amount.I was told by my loan company that I could have done this on my own without their assistance for free. This was never any information given to me. Every time that I had called, I was always given the run around and no one ever helped me. They got their money, that I was told was going towards my loan, and they pocketed it. They didn't even help me do what they claimed. I had to lower the payment myself .Desired Settlement: I would like a return of my money, in addition the addition amount over the 303 that I was forced to pay my loan services since they gave me false information and I had to lower the payment myself. 478-303 would be 175 plus the amount I had paid then originally.

Review: I contacted FSLA in November to help refinance my student loans. After discussing the cost to finance to a lower loan amount they promised I paid a $395 enrollment fee that was contingent on getting the $281.00 reduction on my current student loans. In addition I was to pay a $29.00 monthly maintenance fee. When contact by the new loan provider I was not approved for loan that was discussed by the FSLA representative. I have tried to contact the company since and have been unable to reach them for the refund that was promised on the agreement that I signed.Desired Settlement: A full refund of the fee that was paid for the service that was not properly followed through upon. The total $395.00 plus maintenance fees.

Review: On February 18th and February 23rd of 2015 this company has taking out $29.00 payments on these dates. They took out the amount twice in the same month. I have tried to call I don't know how many times and no one answers. I always get leave a message. I have left several messages and no one has returned my calls.Desired Settlement: I need someone to call me immediately. I need my account refunded immediately. I also want a phone number that I can call and someone will answer the phone. I need my money back and I need to find out how I can opt out of that monthly maintenance fee because they are not doing there job.

Review: Steer very clear of this organization....

Upon the discovery of unsavory practices I realized this organization is predatory and capitalizing on an individual for scandalous endeavors for financial gain.

This organization makes larger than life promises and produces times frames that are unrealistic.

They will get you to pay a hefty contract fee, service you for a couple of months and then you will never hear from them.

Charm is a factor in their conduct of business, you will warm up to them and then be trustworthy of all their people.

Once they get you for the processing fee and monthly maintenance fee you will be on the hook if you do not take several administrative actions to rescind their fees.

I cannot fathom that these individuals sleep at night for what they have done to so many of us.

BE so very careful with them and just absolutely do not conduct business with them.Desired Settlement: I want a refund for the following-

5/6/2014 $173.75

5/27/2014 $173.75

7/16/2014 $173.75

8/18/2014 $173.75

9/16/2014 $29.00

10/16/2014 $29.00

11/18/2014 $29.00

12/16/2014 $29.00

1/16/2015 $29.00

2/18/2014 $29.00

The signed agreement with Federal Student Loan Alliance states on page one, line item four, "(FSLA) will provide Client with 100% refund" should the Client not find a suitable Unites States Department of Education program for loan consolidation and or forgiveness.

In the state we are in I have contacted (FSLA) multiple times with no answer, no statues update, and total disregard for my status of a client.

Review: September 2014 I first got involved with Federal Student Loan Alliance. My husband and I currently have loans with [redacted] and we wanted to move our loans over to Direct Loans, specifically to enroll in the Public Loan Forgiveness Program. We were assured over and over that our loans qualified and we just needed to pay the enrollment fee of $1500 to get them switched over. Multiple times, [redacted]. was on the phone with myself, my husband and [redacted] to get our loans first pout in a professional hold while we enrolled. It was never a secret that our loans were spousal loans, as we both had to be on the phone. Come to find out spousal loans NEVER qualify for this program and we should have been told that at the beginning and to not waste time, money and energy applying. Over the next 3 months we paid 4 payments of $375 each to enroll. Late January FSLA finally sent our application over, of which I recieved the letter saying we were not eligible to consolidate beacue they were spousal loans. I have since been in recovery mode. Both arranging with [redacted] to remove late fees and expalin why loans that have laways been in perfect standing were not being paid(as I waited for FSLA to take over) and recovery mode trying to get my enrollment fee back. For the last 3 weeks I have been calling, emailing, leaving voice mails with anyone who I think could help me. All representatives agree my money is owed back, however the olny person who has returned my calls in[redacted] B, the consultant CPA who has been left trying to starighten this mess out. I have heard every excuse in the book; the owner has cancer and is in the hospital, our bookkeeper had her baby early, we've switched payment processors so I cant refund you, I can 't sign a refund check, our company has no money coming in so I can't refund you...on and on. My money is owed back to me and I need help getting it.Desired Settlement: My last conversation with Victoria was Tuesday Feb 17th. I told her I wanted a paper check overnighted to me in the full amount of $1500. She told me as soon as the money was in the account she would refund me. I told I am no longre willing to waste my time, energy calling to get this money. If a paper check is not sent within a week I will filing a lawsuit to get my owed money back. It is not my fault everything that can go wrong is there, nor my fault they hired representatives that did not know their job. This company has grossly taken advantage of my family and should not be allowed to handle ANYONE'S loans. I find it all the more frustratng taht all the other complaints on here are for refunding a few hundred dollars, not $1500 like us. Why were we charged so much?? Fraudulant, unprofessional, uneducated about stdent loan business. They have one week to refund me or a law suit is happening.

Review: I was contacted by Federal Student Loan Alliance in regards to aiding me in organizing my student loans and decreasing my payments. Also, stated that they would keep up on federal changes and rules on loan forgiveness for educational and social work services that I provide to my community. I signed the agreement on April 24, 2014. It is now September 1, 2014, I did not hear from them all summer. This company was to be working on my loans as they are in deferment so that new payment plan can be put into place, but as of August 26, 2014 when I contact them to see what was going on. No, on had a clue I kept getting transferred to no avail. I was finally contact at end of the day. They stated that I never sent out forms, I never once received a voice mail stating this or a letter in the mail stating that paperwork was missing. She stated that calls were made, but I never received any or voice mails to call back. I want my money back since they rendered no service and I am not confident in their ability to stay on top of my loans as they claim this to be their job. I went four months with no word from the company, so I have no faith that they will take care of managing my loans on their own.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund of my $853.00, I want contract destroyed as they did not fulfill their requirements and I have no faith in company to perceive forward.

To Revdex.com:

Review: I have made numerous attempts to contact this company regarding fees that have been deducted from my checking account and I have not received any responses. The first inquiry was regarding a fee that was deducted earlier than the date that was on the contract, which resulted in a $36.00 NSF fee being charged to my account. The second inquiry was due to two $29.00 monthly fees being deducted from my account on the same day. I emailed the person that I was working with regarding these concerns and she stated that she turned my first inquiry over to management for review. I never heard anything about the outcome from her so I attempted to contact her on numerous occasions and she never responded. When I contacted her regarding my second inquiry she never responded. It has been several months since I have contacted Federal Student Loan Alliance and they are not responding; however, they are continuing to deduct $29.00 from my checking account every month like clockwork.Desired Settlement: I would like all of the money they have deducted from my checking account refunded.

Review: I was contacted by this company who represented themselves as a federal company accredited to work on student loans repayments. They had all of my information regarding my loans. Thinking this was a reputable company I agreed to pay a $495 processing fee and $29 a month to be automatically withdrawn from my bank account. The reason the payment was so low is because I am retired with limited income. I was then contacted by the real Federal AES to discuss loan repayment. They denied the previous agreement was legal. Actually AES informed me they had taken over Federal Student Loan Alliance and set up different payments. The Federal Student Loan Alliance is a SCAM.Desired Settlement: I would like any reimbursement of any funds this company has received and to block any further transactions

Regards,

Review: I signed up w/FSLA w/Rep. [redacted]. I gv $395 proc. Fee/ 4 mos. pymnts of $29. Student Loan by 3-way reqst. 4bearnce in Nov.

On August 22, 2014 I was contacted by [redacted] of the Federal Student Loan Alliance in response to my desperate search and the need to participate in the [redacted] Student Loan Forgiveness Program. I explained to her I was unemployed but I do odd jobs in the community to get by. [redacted] says she had a low enough plan that was affordable. She proceeded to explain how the program worked which was 100% refundable. I was to pay a processing fee of $395 and $29 monthly for a total of 800 payments then my loans of $54k will be forgiven.

She emailed me the contract on August 28, once I agreed to participate in the program and I gave her my bank information authorizing monthly withdraw of $29 Monthly. I was short the full $395 so she broke up the processing fee into 3 payments and withdraw dates of $197 on August 28, $97.50 Sept. 28 and $97.5 on October 28 once the entire processing fee was paid the following month would start the monthly payments of $29.

I emailed Thu on October 27 to see if I can push the last payment to November because FSLA had some changes in the company that prevented them to keep the payments plan as scheduled per [redacted] in her response to my email.

She had a gentleman call me later that day to let me know she got my message and it's ok about the payment being pushed to November. The middle of October I got a email from Federal Student Loan Dept. Informing I am to start repayment on my loans. I contacted via email [redacted] about the email I received as I knew time was getting near and I had not finished paying the process fee. She called me late that evening and she did a 3-way call to FSL to request a forbearance for three weeks which was until November 18th.

As ofJanuary 21st I get another email from FSL Department informing me that I am 10 days behind in my payments. 4 months of pymnts taken and not applied to loanDesired Settlement: I want Full refund of $395 plus my 3 payments of $29

Review: I am currently enrolled with FSLA. (I had it set up on auto pay. I have now cancelled my card). I signed up sent in all contract information required. They never sent notification to my previous student loan they were taking over payments. Now I am unable to reach anyone. My calls were not returned and the phone no longer works. I have deferred my previous loan several times waiting for them to send my loan notice they were taking over my loan, which has accrued interest and now out of control to try to pay back. This has and will impact my credit. My recommendations DO NOT USE THEM. When the phone no longer work it is really not a good sign. I was fooled to believeing that this was something that was set up through [redacted] to help reduce student loan debt. I still have copies of the contracts that were completed. I am emotionally drained trying to figure out how I am now going to pay back my student loan that has grown out of control of what I can pay, because of the added interest. My other concern is who do I turn to now for reconsolidation that is not a scam like this company.Desired Settlement: I am not looking for reimbursement, because what they monetarily took from me was not much, but the my student loan interest to my already high loan amounts is what concerns me (I don't think I would see any of it anyway). I also would like to find a company willing to offer me reconsolidation of my student loan that will not take me for a ride.

Review: FSLA stated that I was to send them $495.00 which I did to get the process of them taking over my college debt. They never provided the service that they stated they would. I started this process on October 30, 2014. I never heard back from them, I had called numerous times in regards to this issue and I also sent them e-mails. This is a scam. They took my money and never provided the services that they stated they would. Can you get my $495.00 back? I don't want them to handle the process anymore.Desired Settlement: $495.00
