First Choice Credit Management Reviews (%countItem)

I am filing a complaint against this business due to their lack of professionalism and customer service skills.
I had a account with First Choice Credit Management the last six/seven months. I was paying them over $200 a month for them to help me resolve my debt. Now I'm at the point I'm trying to get a mortgage loan and don't have time for them to "settle" my debt for me. My grandma and I called and explained that to them and *** told us we didn't know what we we're talking about and tried saying I owed more than I really did. The manager tried contacting me for several days but I work full time like they do so I never found the time. Now *** went onto my business *** Photography and slandered it and told my followers he doesn't recommend me, that I don't take high quality photos and I'm a scatter brained basket case. Mind you, I have never met any of theses people or done pictures for them. And when it's all said and done I was getting ripped off as it is, six months with no results and I only had a little over $500 in the account after I cancelled. How does that add up if I was paying over $200 a month?

Desired Outcome

I want them to give me a full refund for my money or pay off the debts for me for slandering my business and disrespecting my grandma and I and for all the harassment.

We are extremely disappointed to have received this complaint and sincerely apologize to Ms. for the inconvenience. Ms. dissatisfaction with our company was first brought to our attention by several negative reviews that she left for us online. Prior to receiving those complaints, we were unaware of these concerns. All communication between us and her & her family members up to that point were no indicator of dissatisfaction with our company or we would've been able to address is immediately. Upon receiving the negative reviews, we immediately began trying to reach out to her to get to the bottom of and resolve those issues. To date, we have not been able to reach Ms. by phone. Many of the concerns that were raised were a misunderstanding, and could've easily been addressed if we had the opportunity to speak with her. We realize Ms. schedule makes it difficult to speak with us. We are still in the process of corresponding with Ms. via email to ensure we resolve this matter to her full and complete satisfaction.

Attached are the comments their senior account manager Eric Faust left about me and my business. I have never met or even spoke on the phone with him before. Or made any direct slandering towards him for him to be doing this to me and my business.

We have responded to Ms. via email regarding this matter. The comment was immediately removed within minutes and we have handled this internally to ensure this will never happen again. As we have explained to Ms., this is completely unacceptable behavior and will not tolerated. We are truly sorry that this has happened and we are committed to resolving this to Ms. complete satisfaction. As such, We have already issued a full and complete refund as requested. We are not sure of what other reasonable action we can take to resolve this.

Everyone is really nice and they really know what they are doing. They got all my accounts settled in timely matter.

10/10 service. Absolutely pleased with this company, if I ever fall into debt again, I will be coming back.

My experience with First Choice credit management was excellent! They worked fast and diligently at getting me debt free! The staff is super nice and very easy to communicate with! Just an all round awesome business.

Great company to work with deff has helped me out ALOT

Very professional and respectful. Very informative and quickly returned emails and Phone calls. I appreciate your assistance!

Awful customer service. They are quick to sign you up for their services then stop handling any issues. Every email the send does not accept replies and the ones listed on the contract for you to send an email to in order to cancel your contract does not work either. When I called to cancel my contract the supervisor was very rude and tried to lie and say that this business is Revdex.com accredited. They only tell half truths and avoid answering questions that may deter you from using their services. They aren't clear with how their process works at all. I do not recommend them. They also charge a 400$ fee that they will not tell you about. Read the contract carefully before signing despite them rushing you to sign without reading It.

First Choice Credit Management Response

First, to address the comment regarding our quickness to enroll our clients and providing awful customer service. Ms. never actually completed the enrollment process with our company so we are not sure why she would claim that we are "quick to sign you up" or that we "aren't clear on the process" when we didn't have an opportunity to complete her enrollment process. Ms. completed her initial paperwork to enroll in our program on Wednesday, Dec 13th at 6:00p. The initial conversation with her enrollment advisor lasted well over 1 hour (we are not quick to enroll just anyone, our initial consultation is typically about an hour on average). Again, the enrollment process was not entirely complete at that point. We attempted to reach Ms. the following day (Thursday) for a welcome/quality assurance call in which further details pertaining to her program are discussed and ensures all questions are addressed prior to the enrollment process being complete. Ms. was not able to be reached and her voicemail was not set up, so we were unable to complete this call.

Shortly after our 2nd attempt to reach her, Ms. called back request that we cancel her account because she decided to go with another company. Her request was then immediately forwarded to the appropriate department and her file (which was never active) was removed from our enrollment queue.

FCCM does not charge any fees until a settlement is reached. The fee Ms. is referring to is an optional 3rd party protection plan that our clients can opt out of at any time. This is disclosed in our agreement and explained during the enrollment process. Ms. has never made a payment into our program nor was the enrollment process ever fully complete. We feel that it is unfair to say that we provided awful customer service considering we had very little interaction during the 12-hour time frame from when we first spoke with Ms. and when she decided to cancel.

We take pride in providing excellent customer service to everyone we speak with whether they chose to use our service or not. There was definitely miscommunication or confusion that we certainty would've been able to address given the opportunity to speak with Ms. prior to her requesting to cancel. Nonetheless, We apologize for anything that we may have done that caused Ms. to be upset enough to write this review and only wish her the best.

I have had such an amazing experience with First Choice credit management! They went above and beyond my expectations... Any misunderstandings, or questions were cleared up within a timely manner... I am Soo grateful for everything they have done for me. Highly recommended!

Awesome very helpful nice kind and call back when you leave a message. I have no complaints they were very helpful got my debt paid and I would use them again and refer them to anybody who was there financial situation I give them a five-star.

Nothing negative to comment. Overall process went smooth

Deceptive marketing practices
Client ID XXXXX
While on Facebook, I saw an ad from Finance Watchdog, about a debt settlement program. There were 3 ministers (Joyce *** and *** who appeared to be associated with the program, so I clicked on a link and begin to complete a request for information. While online, I received a call from Mr. *** ext *** who asked for additional information. At the end of the conversation, he asked that I review the information, then electronically sign without reading (due to the length of information, approximately 8 pages), but I was told not to worry, that I would receive the information in hardcopy thru the mail from Mr. *** (XXX-XXX-XXXX). I was led to believe that at that time I could approve or cancel the request.
After discussing my concerns with family members, I learned that this company has a practice of deceptive marketing. I then went online to cancel my request, however I received a message that my application was "in process" and that I could not access the records. I attempted to call Mr. twice to cancel my request, however he did not return my calls.
Later, I received a letter dated 10/12/17 from First Choice Credit Management, LLC, which was a different name that I was unfamiliar with. This letter appeared to be a program description, but it also stated that I was "enrolled in FCCM's Debt Settlement Program", and that $197.00 would be automatically deducted from my checking account monthly, starting in November, for a total amount of $3,591.00. I immediately became concerned.
I called the West Palm Beach customer service number for FCCM identified in the letter as, XXX-XXX-XXXX on 10/17/17 and spoke with *** and informed her that I did not knowing sign up for the program. She then said that she couldn't help and transferred me to *** who also said that he could not help me and transferred me to *** (complaint manager), he said that my only recourse was to send a certified letter stating that I no longer wished to be in the program, then he transferred me to Mr. ***, who was not in. I left a voicemail message for a return call, to date, I have not received a returned call.
I did not see the need to send a letter to disenroll in a program that I did not knowingly enroll in. As an American citizen, I should have a right to cancel any agreement, within a reasonable amount of time. Subsequently, I am seeking your kind assistance.

Desired Outcome

Since this company has enrolled me in an underhanded and deceptive manner, I am requesting cancellation of my enrollment/participation in the debt settlement program between Finance Watchdog/First Choice Credit Management, LLC and subsequently relieve any financial responsibility for a debt that I did not knowingly agree to. I am also asking that any mark placed on my credit report be removed.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. As soon as we received this complaint we immediately reached out to Ms. for clarification on her concerns and so that we can address them. First, regarding the advertisement Ms. describes in her complaint, we have no knowledge of this type of advertisement and although we found a "Finance Watchdog" website during our investigation, we are still not sure how Ms. was directed to us as we are in no way affiliated with this site and none of the numbers on the site are ours. This is the first time we have seen or heard of this site or any of the people that Ms. mentioned.

Secondly, all clients who chose to enroll in our program, must sign a service agreement. FCCM has a very clear and simple cancellation policy within our agreement. While we do ask for a written request to cancel from our clients, the request can be mailed, emailed or faxed. We also include a Notice of Cancellation in our initial enrollment documents which only requires a client to sign and send in to us. The account is then cancelled within 7-10 business days and confirmation is sent.

There was clearly a breakdown in communication on both sides and for that, we apologized to Ms. We never received the voicemail that she mentioned leaving for our manager in her complaint and during our recent conversation, she informed us that she never left one. We would've certainly been able to resolve these issues if we had the opportunity to address them prior to a complaint being filed.

We have already cancelled Ms. account and issued a full refund. We also reassured Ms. Whitaker that she does not, and never, has owed any debt to us and we do not report anything to credit bureaus. While we wish we had the opportunity to address these concerns prior to the complaint being filed, we are glad we were able to resolve this matter to Ms. full and complete satisfaction.
