SCAM!!! Almost fell for it but thanks to Google and everyone who posted here! Beware this is a fraudulent company!

I knew this was a scam! I had already paid and received my certificate of status when I filed electronically, so this letter didn't make any sense! It sure looks like an official state agency though! Very deceiving! Unethical business practices!

Ditto on the scam. Received same letter and request for $67.25. They should be reported to the State of Florida. Very misleading.

This company is posing as a government agency. They do have in very small lettering that they are not a government agency but it is very clear they are trying to be deceptive. They send out a letter to all new businesses that have just filed for a new corporation saying that they are helping get the "certificate of status". They have a logo that looks like something from a government agency and even have a Tallahassee address. This is very deceptive and I don't know how they have not been shut down yet.

This company is obviously a scam. There are YouTube videos regarding their nasty ways. Why are they still in business?

Just filed an application for an LLC and paid all fees on sunbiz.org, which all forms requested were sent to me via email address I provided. I received this letter today stating that it was a 2019 Certificate of Status Request Form for $67.25 and to follow the instructions exactly.

Got the notice, too, after registering my new business. The letter has a small letter sentence that says "This is not a government agency", and that gave me alert signs. I went straight to Google search. Almost got me.

I recently received my new LLC certificate from Florida Secretary of State. In late January, I received a Certificate of Status Request form for 2019 from FL Certificate Services requesting that I send $67.25 by February 14th. Thanks to the company that I used to do my filing I was alerted that I would start getting scams that look official.

Scam, got the notice shortly after setting up my business with state. They state that "Certificate of Status...and may be required for loans, to renew business licenses...".
I doubt that is true, how do they get away with this.
I got suspicious when I read "elective" Certificate, as well as "may" be required. Sure enough looked it up and confirmed here it is a scam.

Glad I did an internet search- I thought it was strange when when I filed my articles of incorporation. Glad I looked it up, certainly looked official and has an address in Tallahassee. They didn’t get the name right.

FL Certificate Services sent us a very official-looking document "2019 Certificate of Status Request Form" re: my husband's recently registered PA.

We know this is a scam, but wish to report in hopes of helping others who might send these people the $67.25 they request for a "Certificate of Status."

The letter says that this is "one step left to attain your elective Florida Certificate of Status," which may lead people to believe that this must be done in order to complete the registration of a new business.

I received notification by mail from FL Certificate Services with my recently registered S Corp Document Number stating that I had to pay $67.25 to attain a Florida Certificate of Status. I have recently learned this company is illegally using my document number to solicit funds for false requirements.

I received a letter in the mail from this company stating they needed $67.00 to complete a business license I applied for. I can across some you tubers who have been scammed by this business and posted on YouTube about this scam. I’ve sent the $67.00 to them and I have yet to receive a business license.

These guys are scamming people. They are pretending to be a state of Florida required certificate... and they are NOT.

FL Certificate Services deceives customers by sending a document which greatly resembles official State of Florida. The document was sent by a company calling itself FL Certificate Services with an address in Tallahassee, FL. While the document looks official, it is being sent by a company that is in no way related to the Florida Secretary of State or any government agency for that matter. The notice is titled “2019 Certificate of Status Request Form” and appears to be targeting newly registered businesses in the State of Florida. The notice implies that business owners need to complete one final step and remit a payment of $67.25 to attain a copy of their Florida Certificate of Good Status.

I almost fell for it too, until I searched online and found this website. I called but nobody answers.

Apparently this is a scam. Fortunately I realized to research it before sending in the $67.25 requested to complete the process of registering as an LLC. Do not send them money!

0 Stars.
Scam artist.
They send you an official-looking letter stating, "Congratulations on registering your business with the State of Florida... You have one step left... Make check or money order payable to: FL CERTIFICATE SERVICES"
I have to admit, I almost fell for it. I did register my LLC with the state, and this is the first thing I am hearing back.
This phony business tries to fool legitimate business owners into paying them, and providing absolutely nothing in return. Shame on you!
