Sunlight contractors was great to work with From the initial consultation and quote to the final work they made everything easy for us Even when there was a problem with parking in front of our house on the day of the work, they found a way to park around the corner and still get their foam insulation hose to the house to perform the work I would recommend them and plan to use them on future homes

Our home received almost five feet of water from the August floods Mitigation efforts became very important to us in the event (heaven forbid) of another flood So, I headed to our local library to gather information about effective ways to help protect our home in the future Closed-cell spray insulation was highly recommended by all the available documentation So, I researched spray-foam insulation companies in the Baton Rouge area and Sunlight Contractors' name was at the top of the list After checking with the state licensing board for contractors to ensure that Sunlight Contractors is state licensed (with three licenses, no less!), I checked Sunlight's reviews, all of which were excellent After doing my homework, I contacted the company and they promptly scheduled a time for an estimate and have been very easy to work with since then Ira has the patience of a saint, dealing with so may people whose homes flooded and who are taking mitigation steps that also will cut utility bills and make for a more comfortable home I wholeheartedly recommend Sunlight Contractors without reservation They have been super!

In we had Sunlight come out to install spray foam installation If you are in doubt whether or not this works, BELIEVE ME it does In we had double pane insulated windows installed because everyone told us they would do the trick since our windows were over 40+ years old Well, they were somewhat right, it blocked out the noise, unfortunately the house was still hot! The air conditioning never kicked off during the summer and the house stayed at when the thermostat was set on It would finally reach at about in the morning and would finally kick off for about minutes and then it started all over again We had ceiling fans in every room plus a window unit in our bedroom It was totally miserable
We started looking & doing our homework on spray foam insulation We received quotes from other companies but as their sales people came out it was a quick walk around the property & just throwing out a number Not one of them sat down and explained exactly what would be needed & done to protect the investment & cost savings to our home Sunlight came out and not only spent an inordinate amount of time with us but did a door blower test, walked around the property, went up into the attic, showed my husband exactly what was needed and told us the best avenue to take on the type of house that we haveThey also explained all the different insulation's that were available and what would work well with our homeWe had a two-car carport and everyone else was telling us the spray foam would have to be put over the carport area along with the living area Sunlight told us it would be a waste of our money and their suggestion was to put up to two walls of plastic and spray the insulation onto it and it would create a more secure insulated barrier We weren't too sure about doing it that way, but now that it is done it is very secure and air tight Oh, did I mention when we go up in the attic now you don’t start sweating right when you walk up the stairs, it is really actually cool in our attic, that even during the hottest part of the day you can go up and not even break a sweat!
The day of the insulation installation, they called us ahead of time and gave us an approximate time they would arrive They went over everything that was quoted to us and got to work, by mid afternoon they were done, cleaned up and out of there Ira called after they left and asked if everything was up to our standards and to call him if we had any questions
What is really fantastic is that my unit does not kick on hardly at all during the day The house stays at all day and it is very cool
One thing I did notice about this company is whether you call them or send them an email, they respond back immediately, which in today's business environment that is usually unheard of I would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants a professional job done and service after the installation at an affordable price

The guys tell me it was degrees warmer in the shop the next morning compared to the outside temperature and that was without the heaters on so they were pretty happy .As far as dealing with Sunlight I only have good things to say The guys did a great job the walls look good they did a good clean up and just handled them self in a professional manner

I shopped around for prices for spray foam and even though Sunlight wasn't the cheapest they were the ones I wanted to hire from the beginningI spoke with Ira and he provided a lot of information without me even having to ask while the other companies pretty much just came by to take measurements and gave a quote without saying much at all The day of the job his business partner, Corey, is on site throughout the whole process monitoring his team to make sure everything is rightIt may not seem like much but trust me it's a very good sign when the boss is on site! Prior to having spray foam my AC would run constantly without shutting off and that's when I set it at Now when my ac cycles on and off periodically, my smart thermostat shows how little my ac runs and the house feels so much cooler and comfortableI'd definitely recommend these guys

They were quick to come start the job, they completed it in less than half a day and now the house is much more comfortable That was this last June, 2018, I can't imagine how hot it would be now in this almost record heat in New Orleans this year without having this spray foam done Also, I feel it was an investment as well since it should increase the value of the home I see no reason not to use them again if the need arises in another house
