Review: This company is reporting negatively on my credit report for a collection that has been paid in full for quite some time. have called them and they have told me verbally that I am paid in full, refused to send me a confirmation and told me they would report that I have paid in full. I filed a dispute with Equifax, [redacted] reached out to them and they reported back to [redacted] that there is still $28 that needs to be paid, which is incorrect. The $28 has been paid in full for almost a year now.Desired Settlement: I need them to do as they promised and report that the collection is paid in full. Also, to work on their customer service skills - I received no help when calling them out on THEIR error.

Review: I contacted [redacted] on May 17, 2012 to negotiate a settlement of my account. A settlement was agreed and I paid the required amount through the hospital's payment portal. I then contacted Focused Recovery Solutions to advise them of my settlement with the hospital and I asked them to correct their records to indicate this. Focused Recovery Solutions then placed an entry on my credit report indicating that they were the creditor and payment was remitted to them. I contacted the records department at [redacted] to request a copy of my account's financial transaction report. The report showed my payment to the hospital along with a credit as a result of the settlement.Desired Settlement: I request that Focused Recovery Solutions correct their records to indicate that my payment was remitted to [redacted] and to remove their inaccurate entry on my credit report.

Review: I recently went through the process to buy a house and in my pre approval stage I was told I needed to take care of the two outstanding accounts with Focused Recovery. I called to office and set up a settlement arrangement on both the accounts and made the payment via debit card on March 7th 2016. The money was debited from my account and then I received a letter confirming the accounts were Settled and my CBR was updated. I noticed on my bank statement a month later that one of the payments was refunded to my account for $148.00. I called Focused Recovery and John Randolph Hospital to find out why this happened they took over 2 weeks to research the issue then told me it was a system error and I still owe the $148.00 and I would need to make the payment again. The hospital called back and stated this was an old debt and they shouldn't have been collecting on it anyway and if I didn't pay it nothing would happen. They wouldn't report it to my CBR again or send it to Collections. I received a bill from Focused Recovery on 4/26/2016 stating I owe $148.00. I want this account deleted due to no error of mine. I paid the money like I was suppose to it is not my issue they refunded it in "error" because it wasn't an "error" that they kept reporting this account from August 2011. I don't want to deal with this anymore and I don't want any more excuses. this needs to be resolved immediately and I don't want my credit to be impacted by this error.Desired Settlement: I want this account removed from Collections and deleted

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. If the company does not perform as promised I can get back to you at: [redacted]

Regards,

Review: Focused Recovery Solutions Inc has been informed twice that a checking account and several other accounts were opened in my name without consent. They have also been informed in regards to my attempt to get a police report, yet they continue to report false information while the credit bureau [redacted] allows this to continue.

Approximately a year ago, I attempted to move from the home of a friend. I'm on a fixed income and have a rather low budget that may be too modest. It's taken almost a year to actually find a home that fit within my budget and finally I sat down with a mortgage lender. The first question asked "hows your credit". I was positive I had nothing unpaid in my report I replied “should be great, not a problem at all". I borrowed $5,000 from family, placed the money as down payment, and signed a million documents.

Fast forward a few months – my mortgage lender calls me and reviewed my credit the report and I was in total shock. Focused Recovery Solutions Inc had published a completely false debt WITHOUT EVER contacting me and that account is causing my loan to be denied and even worse my family's loan of $5000 for down payment is "non-refundable". I've been struggling for the past year to improve my life so I have something to give when I pass on just lose $5,000 and get a big slap in the face by Focused Recovery Solution's demanding $226!!! I thought to myself "NO WAY am I going to make my family give up their money and still be no better off than they were before so I wrote the credit bureaus and Focused Recovery Solutions:

Focused Recovery Solutions - is a fraudulent account and I have no idea what this account is and I have never had a financial obligation with this company, nor have I ever received goods or services from them. This account is causing financial injury and defamation to my otherwise good name in the form of a lost deposit on a home for my family. Per the [redacted] 623

(a)(6)(B) "IF" a consumer notifies a furnisher of information that an account is the result of identity theft; the furnisher must remove the information and is responsible to furnish documentation proving that they have verified the identity of the alleged debtor, they must provide the signatures that prove the debt was accepted by the alleged person (me), and they must provide what was service or goods were promised by the furnisher in return for the debt.

Focused Recovery Solutions - has been informed that the debt is likely from mistaken identity and has refused to provide validation proving what they are reporting is NOT a fraudulent publication per[redacted] / [redacted] regulations. At this point Focused Recovery Solutions has ZERO proof that I am the correct person while this information continues to provide a false persona about me to anyone requesting my credit which is causing my family and me financial injury, defamation, and embarrassment. I have now lost employment opportunities, I can't lease an apartment, and I have to figure out how to get $5000 to pay my family back.

I Have now written 3 times to [redacted] and 3 times to Focused Recovery Solutions - similar requests and complaints about these errors. I've searched every document for every account I've ever opened or requested in my life and I have no record or knowledge of this account or a debt in this amount. My first dispute was 120 days ago stating that I may be an identity theft victim - it was ignored. My second request was 90 days ago, I even attempted to get a police report. My 3rd request was approx. 45 days ago. I received a letter from Focused Recovery Solutions stating that they believe the debt belongs to me and demanded $226.

How could they confirm it was mine and demand payment when they had not provided validation that I legally owed the debt?? How is this possible that someone can just say they have your name and address correct and you owe them a debt without no contract or legal proof whatsoever. How do they even know they have the right person?

At this point this account is actually destroying my drive and I am about to give up. If my friend decides to not let me live here, I have no idea what I'll be able to do or where I'll live. No one seems to care about what it is to be human or show respect and compassion for others. It's all about bully tactics and greed - someday we all have to meet our maker and in doing so we will be leaving behind only the memories and the family we have cared for. When I sleep at night - I know I did what I could while companies like Focused Recovery Solutions are the modern day vampires: only caring about what they can suck out of you and ruining lives. I pray that the Revdex.com can help with a solution.Desired Settlement: A refund of the $5000 I am losing if this matter is NOT cleared up by December 29th.

Review: I have disputed the balances for these particular medical bills for years. [redacted] regional coded these bills incorrectly resulting in additional payments being made by my medical insurance at the time. I never received updated statements from[redacted] regional, my accounts were simply handed over to a collection agency. These accounts have come up again as I in the process of purchasing my first home. My mortgage loan officer brought these toy attention. The following account numbers are showing up on [redacted]. I called focus and disputed this and was told there were all supposed to be removed back on 2012 however that clearly is NOT the case. I was told to file a dispute through the credit bureaus and they would have them removed however, the dispute was filed and these still have not been removed. I need these removed ASAP so I can proceed with purchasing my first home.Desired Settlement: Please remove the 4 accounts listed above from my [redacted] and [redacted] reports ASAP

Review: I was involved in a car accident in which the person who rear-ended me (their insurance company) was supposed to pay my medical bills. My attorney contacted the hospital and the bill was paid. However Focused Recovery harassed me and still said I owed money. The filed a collection claim on my credit report for over DOUBLE of what my bill was. This ruined my credit report and lowered my score by OVER 100 points. It affected me financially and emotionally.Desired Settlement: Need to remove the collection from my credit report.

Review: I have disputed this account multiple times with the credit bureaus and have sent letters & faxes to the collection agency directly. They have failed to mark this account in dispute which is a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. I paid this account years ago and it is still on my credit report for whatever reason. I didn't have a clue it was even on my credit report.Desired Settlement: I consulted with an [redacted] attorney and the fact that they failed to report the account as in dispute is a violation and I could be entitled to up to $1,000 as a result. They attorney told me to try this first and if they didn't remove the account, then I could retain his services to help me with getting this rectified.

Review: I never heard of this company until I saw them on my credit report. I sent them a letter asking for verification of the alleged debt they claim I owe. This letter was successfully delivered to Focused Recovery Solutions on 2015-09-29. I disputed this account with the credit bureaus. In a notice dated October 21, 2015 [redacted] stated they completed an investigation with this company's cooperation and concluded that the account is accurate. In a notice dated October 22, 2015 [redacted] stated they completed an investigation with this company's cooperation and concluded that the account is accurate. As of the date of this complaint this company has not responded to my request for validation. This is in violation of the FDCPA. While they are not required to respond to my letter they have to cease all activity until they do. It is also morally and legally corrupt that they would quickly provide documentation to the credit bureaus while ignoring my request for the same information.Desired Settlement: I want this alleged account closed and removed from ALL of my credit reports IMMEDIATELY.

Dear [redacted]:Our offices are in receipt of your correspondence detailing [redacted]

[redacted] complaint relating to Focused Recovery Solutions.Based on our investigation of [redacted] dispute, we have

concluded that our offices made several attempts to contact [redacted] in regards

to her account placed with our office for collection’s prior to placing the

account on her credit report. Our office mailed the required initial letter on

6/25/2015 and made five phone calls with no response prior to credit reporting

the account on 9/1/2015. On 10/14/2015 we received a validation request which

we responded to on 10/15/2015. This letter included a complete breakdown of

charges and payments that were made to the account leaving the balance her responsibility.

Also at that time her credit payment was updated as disputed. No return mail

has been received so we can only assume that [redacted] received our response. In

regards to responding to the disputed sent through the credit bureaus, our

office responded to both request after a

thorough investigation and determined that all the information we had on

file was correct.Should you have any additional questions please feel free to

contact our office.Sincerely,[redacted]

These people are beyond rude and ruthless. Sometimes they are given bad information however they will not even entertain that notion and no resolution can be had. They speak to you in a rude and condescending manner and provide false information. I hope calls are recorded for the sake of the consumer in this instance! It's unfortunate vendors must resort to using these type of companies.
