We have a problem communicating with Mr. [redacted]. From the first time, Mr. [redacted] talked to Alex with such an attitude and tone of voice that is inappropriate.We have no problem in inspecting our work with Mr. [redacted]. He can call our office and speak to Alex in a normal tone of voice. Also, any appointment that will be made with Mr. [redacted] is weather sensitive. Date: 5/22/2016Dear [redacted]:This is a respond to the letter we received regarding our customer, [redacted].We received their contract from the sales team on 2/26/2016. About that time, we deposited their check in the amount of $4,000, After that, installation Manager passed by their...

house and put the material list together. We ordered materials on 3/16 from [redacted] located in Huntingdon Valley PA. The material includes Special Order Siding with all accessories. None of these materials is returnable.On March 22, 2016 [redacted] called our installation office and asked us to call her husband after 4 pm to discuss her home improvement project. Not sure why [redacted] did not want to discuss it herself and set up installation date which we were ready to do. [redacted] gave us her husband's cellphone number. Alex called that number and left [redacted] a voice message twice that week. We did not receive a call from them in March or in April.Next time, [redacted] called is to add more work (soffit and fascia installation) and that happened in the middle on May, 2016. [redacted] was acting normal and polite. And we started to work on that price.Suddenly, in the beginning of June, 2016, both of them are trying to get out of the contract. Even though we were offering to immediately start their job.Unfortunately, no refund will be given because of the expenses already incurred.Izbella V

service date for July 16, 2015. On July 9, Mr. [redacted] called to the office because he was expecting Alex to be on his property that day. The way, Mr. [redacted] talked to Alex was inappropriate, We cannot accept these rude wordings that Mr. [redacted] used and a lot of Screaming.Meanwhile, Alex stepped by Mr. [redacted] property to take a look at the issue, And the issue was not found. The job was done per contract. It was a nail over no removal, no flashing installation, Mr. [redacted]'s flashing is in good condition. I am rejecting this response because:
The contract was signed by us on 08December2016 with work to start on or about 6-8 weeks. Our check was submitted to our bank and paid 29January2016. We patiently waited due to weather several more weeks after the check was cashed. As stated, on 22March2016 the company was contacted by [redacted] with request to contact [redacted] because he was at work until after 4pm. At no time, either on the 22nd or in the days to follow had we received a phone call either on a cell phone nor our home phone nor were there any messages left. Again in May we contacted the company, again, no response was received from 5 Star restoration. On 01June2016, we contacted 5 Star restoration at the [redacted] number listed on our contract to request our deposit be returned to us due to breach of contract and once again no contact by anyone from 5 Star restoration. It was only after leaving the message about breach of contract did they choose to contact us to miraculously expedite this job which was neglected for 7 months. It should be noted the contract signed 08December2015, was signed by [redacted] only and [redacted] holds no contractual obligation. Also, at no time in any place on the contract does it state materials were special order siding. Please note that the responder from 5 Star is not known to us as we had only spoken to a female named Amber via the [redacted] number on the contract and a male named Alex from a 215 number. Their assertion that they did not have this contract until 26February2016 is a complete falsehood. As I have the bank records that prove the deposit check was indeed cashed 29January2016.

I am rejecting this response because: there is no supporting evidence from their side... They installed an improper new roof that still leaks.  My complaints are similar to the others online.  They shouldn't be building roofs because their aren't  qualified to build roofs. I have videos of their workers being unsupervised. If the better business wants them I can send them.

Entered into a contract with this business on June 2015 for a new roof.
Business had been stalling every time I called for status on the date of construction.
They also lied about filing a permit at that time.
They filled a permit over a month a go and you cant even get in contact with them.
They have our insurance check at least the first part and they said it wasn't enough because it did not include ice and something for the roofing. But it was in the contract and I am sure since it is part of code that it was included by the insurance company.
We initially tried to cancel but they ignored our email to them completely.
they will charge a 1500.00 fine if we don't go with them.

The service was done. Alex called the homeowner to explain on 9/6/2016.

Review: I was visited by a representative of [redacted] following a hail storm in my neighborhood in March of 2014. The representative indicated that they were doing roof replacements and siding repair in my area following the storm. They asked if I'd like a free estimate and I agreed.

The representative examined my roof and found hail damage indicating replacement. They agreed to work with my insurance provider to submit the claim as long as I agreed that they performed the work. They contacted my insurer and began the process. [redacted] found that my roof needed replaced and the insurance company agreed to a replacement value of $6,977.22.

During the process I expressed my concern that my existing roof had soft spots and dry rot in several places. I asked that they inform me if the sheathing needed replaced so that this could be addressed as well. The representative told me that they'd replace up to two full sheets of sheathing at no charge and that they'd inform me if additional sheathing needed replaced. They also agreed to remove old gutter hangers in the process. Both of these items are in my contract.

The [redacted] crew began the work in the Summer timeframe. They finished the work in one day yet never indicated any additional damage to the roof. I examined my attic following the roof install and found a dozen broken pieces of sheathing. The sheathing was broken all the way through from the contractors walking on the roof. Additionally, I noticed that the gutter hangers were never removed as per my contract.

I contacted [redacted] to express my concern and they ignored multiple calls. After 5 to 6 weeks of reaching out the owner contacted me and asked me to send pictures. He also sent a representative to inspect the damage. I sent pictures and the inspector came to examine the damage. The inspector informed me that [redacted] would replace the sheathing and redo the roof and that the president of the company would contact me. This never occurred. Again, I made multiple calls to [redacted] and they were all ignored.

Now that we've had snow in the area I am finding moisture coming through the holes in the sheathing. The company still ignores my calls.Desired Settlement: I would like [redacted] to replace the sheathing, redo the roof, and remove the old gutter hangers at no cost. The company has repeatedly ignored my attempts to resolve the issue and this has gone on for months. My goal is to have the work done right, as per the terms of my contract.
