I had a very short time to find a house and close and Josh D*** and his team worked overtime to make sure I had a place to live! He really knows his stuff and I would recommend anyone looking to buy a house to come to Franklin American Mortgage!

Greg and his team were very thorough which paid off for a smooth, seamless closing process

I refinanced my home and everything went very smoothly I was very satisfied with the pricing and the quick tyrnaround on everything

I've dealt with Franklin American on numerous occasions, specifically with Garrett R*** in the Portland, Maine location He's easy to work with, very efficient and goes the extra mile to get things done He's easily the best mortgage guy I know!

I took the time to write MrBig Shot *** a letterOF course he's too important to respond to me,it was handed off to some underling,*** ***She writes me that my concerns have been forwarded to the appropriate department and I'll get a response in days ?? WELL, you can tell Davy *** to forget it
I'll just complain to every agency I can findI'm sure the Banking Commission is on a first name basis with them

If I could give zero starts, I wouldOur Revenue office sent a letter to Franklin American requesting our tax amount be updated and payment lowered in FEBRUARYIt's now mid April, we have overpaid our notes because we haven't wanted to be late on our payments, and it has yet to be resolvedI've called 5+ times, spoken to multiple customer service reps and even two supervisorsand they keep saying it's in process of being updatedWe are looking into refinancing with another company because we're so fed up with Franklin AmericanIt's funny, it didn't take them long at all to jack up our payment but it's taking MONTHS to correct it back to the lower amountTERRIBLE COMPANYRUN AWAY

My relationship with this company started off great, the loan originator helped me get my credit score well above what was required I was honest with him about my financials and my credit history Finally in August months after my initial application I was given a pre-approval letter and was able to put inn offer on a house That is what we did, on Aug with a closing date of 9-30- As the closing day approached I could sense something was not going well communication slowed and other employees from across the country started to ask for documents days before closing I was still being assured that a closing would happen on time as long as I submitted everything to them by a certain date, I did meet all their deadlines Needless with just days before closing an appraisal finally gets ordered and I began to get nervous I started asking questions and I was receiving vague or no responses at all days after initial closing date we get a rather harsh rejection of loan email It was written in all caps in a very large font and was incredibly unprofessional I'm not arguing the reasons why a denial was given just the delivery and timing was terrible The reasons given was known about weeks before it went to underwriting They still made me pay for an appraisal and insurance binder and continue to conference call credit reporting agencies I will not ever recommend anyone to waste time with this company

I can attest to some of the negative reviews that have been posted hereEspecially the review surrounding the payment increasing because of the yearly escrow reviewsI also had a bad experience concerning property taxesAdmittedly there was some misunderstanding on my part with this being my first home but what took place regarding the refusal of my payment while this matter was sorted out was unacceptableIt ended with me having a negative mark against my credit in the form of a late payment which took place early in the loanI am now once again dealing with an increase in my payment due to escrowI am investigating other mortgage companies and looking to take my business elsewhere

I am preparing a living trust for a couple who have a loan with Franklin American Mortgage. They contacted the mortgage company (per my request) to let them know I was preparing a revocable trust. An agent in their assumptions department said the transfer was prohibited. I asked for more information and sent the agent the federal law showing it was NOT prohibited. The agent two 45 days (and repeated calls to customer service) to upload my authorization to talk to the company. The agent never forwarded the issue to their legal department, despite my repeated requests. I sent the federal statutory language to customer service, legal and assumptions and was again told by assumptions that the transfer would trigger the due on sale clause and was prohibited. I resent the federal statutes and regulations, along with a notice that I would file for declaratory relief if necessary. I did not hear back. I called after approximately 6 weeks had passed, and the person to whom the letter was addressed said that he never got it personally, but it was uploaded to the file. He said he would forward it to the appropriate department. I am astonished at how a simple notice to the mortgage company has led to months of delay. This may lead to costly legal action that was completely preventable.

I have been a FAMC customer for almost 3 years now in the southern Mississippi area. They have always been helpful on any customer care call I have needed and their website is much better than others I have used in the past. The amortization calculator and all other functions have been very helpful.

Company is incredibly incompetent! They bought my mortgage from a lender days after closing. My first two bills from this company have been incorrect- 1st was ~$65 more than indicated in the closing docs and HUD statement. Multiple calls were made to try to correct. FA tells me the problem was on their end and is now fixed. Next bill comes indicating an amount ~$145 greater than indicated on the HUD. Multiple calls to FA are made again. FA tells me they will get back to me. A week goes by and no one calls. I call again and am told they have two HUD statements-one from my previous mortgage before refinancing) and they couldn't figure out which one to use to base the yearly taxes on- so they just charge me the higher of the two. Could've simply looked at the date on the HUD statement for the loan THEY just bought to see where the inconsistency was, but no. Now my loan is being internally audited. Go figure. Employer getting hassled for verification of income etc. GET IT TOGETHER!
