We have sent another letter to the consumer, although we never received mail return from letters mailed, The website address is www.FranklinService.com and there is a link to pay and our toll free number is 800-262-and she can call
anytime between 7am CST and 10pm CSTThis has not effected the consumers credit at this timeThank you

Who is Franklin Collections? Why do you post derogatory information to credit reports without proper supporting Account Numbers, debt origination party, or other helpful information to resolve the proposed debt? A person has no idea if you are a scam or a real legitimate organization.

The original creditor referred the account to us in that name. We reached out to our client and explained the consumers concerns. They have asked us to change the responsible parties name and at their request have removed Mr. [redacted]'s name and all identifying information linked to him and...

replaced it with another reponsible party's information they provided. We only collect debt given to us by the original creditor to collect. We have at their request changed the responsible party and requested all negative credit reporting be deleted. Thank you.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: The response is inaccurate. The company refuses to provide proof of the claimed "first letter" and refuses to provide any information about how it was sent, or by whom. I was permitted 1/10th of the time they state, 4 days to respond to a letter, what was already in arrears long before it was delivered. As for the phone attempts the company claims to have made, I proved to the representative that those calls were never made, because on the dates and times claimed, there are NO INCOMING calls from this company or any number at the phone number they claim to have called.
There also is no response regarding the failure of the company supervisors to talk with me regarding the issue, refusing my calls, refusing to return my calls, or cutting off my attempts to leave voice messages. My entire complaint deals with the companies refusal to treat persons with respect, and their response just furthers that complaint.
Regards,
[redacted]

We sent the consumers concerns to the original creditor and upon investigation, our client has asked us to close the account in our office and remove any negative credit reporting from the credit bureaus. The account is no longer active in our database and we requested all negative...

credit reporting be removed. Thank you.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because when I spoke with FCS on 1/20/16, they informed me they processed the "delete" of the report in the end of December.  When I paid them in October, they promised me it would be deleted immediately.  A three month delay for FCS to process this is unacceptable, and I want proof that they are trying to resolve this for me ASAP.  FCS should at minimum provide:
1. An alternate to escalate the deletion of these files, including paying for a third party to expedite the removal of my paid debt from my credit report.
2. A meeting with myself, FCS, and credit agencies to request the items be deleted ASAP.  FCS website says they report to all credit bureaus, so they have direct contact information and this should be easy to do.
3. Documentation that they are escalating this with credit agencies, and responses from credit reporting agencies that they have received the deletion request and are escalating it.
FCS's website claims they "Ensure highest customer satisfaction," and I am very unsatisfied because their poor business services is causing a delay for me to find a home for my family.

I was verbally bullied and shamed by the [redacted], the supervisor on shift. It's one thing to collect on a bill, quite another to raise your voice and talk down to the caller. Very unprofessional and very rude. While I understand that their job entails trying to desperately collect, owing a small amount does not make you a criminal, nor entitle a bill collector to shame and harass you. Either someone can pay at the moment or they can't. I don't believe attacking them is going to be productive in the least bit. Please be weary when dealing with this company.

FCSI reached out to the original creditor [redacted] about Ms [redacted] concerns, they responded telling FCSI that there are no notations on her account suggesting anyone told her that she owes nothing. [redacted] stated this debt is for [redacted] where services were provided at [redacted]...

[redacted] from 6-20-14 until 9-15-15 and the balance is correct at $147.63. A final bill has been sent to Ms [redacted]. Thank you

FCSI reached out to the original creditor, [redacted], and conveyed that the consumer stated he had already settled this account with a previous collection agency [redacted], on behalf of [redacted]. After [redacted]'s investigation, our client requested the account be zero'd out and removed from our database. It...

had not reported to any of the credit reporting agencies and is no longer an active or due balance. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Thank you

Upon receipt of this complaint, we reached out to our client, the original creditor, AT&T and they investigated and stated that the original balance was $160.50 and a payment was made of $80.25 on 1-20-2015 paying only half the debt. If she has proof otherwise of when and to whom she paid...

the balance we would need that information so AT&T can investigate where the funds went. Thank you.

The collection manager Mrs. [redacted] has reviewed the account and has instructed that the $[redacted] payment be reversed and refunded and if there was a $** fee processed to reverse that as well. Mrs. [redacted] has agreed to accept the monthly paymnet of $[redacted] a month until the debt is paid. Thank you.

FCSI received the account for collection from the original creditor AT&T on or about 11-22-16 in the name of [redacted]. The account is a Uverse account # [redacted] and was installed on 10-20-15 and disconnected on 11-13-15 with a balance of $29.17 at the same address on this...

correspondence. The original creditor informed FCSI that this is a valid and due debt and a copy of the final bill will be forwarded to the consumer. Thank you.

Upon review of this account we do show where the settled in full receipt was mailed as well as faxed to the consumer on 1-16-2016 and 1-27-2016. The mailing address matches the one in this correspondence and the email address given and emailed to
href="mailto:AL[redacted][email protected]">[redacted]@outlook.com . Thank you.

The false representation made by this company is that they contacted me before August call. When I spoke to them and they informed me (for the first time) that there was a dispute with [redacted], I was confused as to why I would not know this from [redacted] and why they wouldn't contact me before hitting my credit report as they said they did. They had my number and they called it after hitting my credit report. If they called it before, they never left a message telling me who they are, what they are calling for or to call them back. First contact I had with this company is after they hit my credit report. This is illegal as they are supposed to provide me an opportunity to verify the debt and who j contact for this purpose. When they called in August, they didn't even tell me how to verify with [redacted]. They just stated they have been trying to get. Hold of me since March (which if it's true, they made no effort to reach me other than call from a number without leaving a message.

This is company lies to their clients (if indeed they told [redacted] they made any effort to contact me before hitting my credit report), and breaks fair credit laws by not giving me any information about debt held, who holds debt, how j can verify or how j can discharge. They should be investigated for the illegal activity they engage in!!
resolution: undo any credit reporting done at any time (including past) as they dinged my credit illegally
shame on [redacted] for using this company. I was a very good customer for [redacted] and they should know their vendors like franklin break laws.

I am rejecting this response because:

We take these concerns very serious and having heard the conversation in question, there was not any veiled, ambiguous or intentional threat made at all. The call was pleasant and respectful on both sides. I cannot discuss any...

further details of the conversation because it was not with Mr. [redacted] but I can assure him that no one made any sort of threat , real or veiled in any way. Thank you.

Franklin did try to contact the consumer, with no response. Upon receipt of this complaint we reached out to the original creditor who informed us this debt is still outstanding. The original creditor sent an itemized statement and we have forwarded...

it to the consumer. The original creditor stated they do not reflect any payment on this account and the balance is $25 as the consumer stated. Thank you.

FCSI was assigned this consumer debt for collection on or about 05/14/15.  FCSI is not a debt purchaser.  The consumer communicated a dispute to FCSI and shortly thereafter, on or about 07/02/15, FCSI mailed a verification letter to the consumer, denying inaccuracy per the...

requirements of the Texas Finance Code.  FCSI on or about the same date requested that the credit reporting agencies mark the data entry for the referenced account as “disputed.”  On or about 07/06/15 FCSI also mailed to the consumer an itemized statement detailing the balance due claimed by the original creditor.  FCSI has fully met its obligations.  A duplicate of the verification letter and itemized statement are also being mailed this date to the consumer as a matter of courtesy since he claims not to have received the same. Thank you.

I am submitting a review of Franklin Collection Services in Tupelo, MS. On Monday, September 29,2015 we received a call from "[redacted]" from FCSI stating we owed $213.98 to AT&T. She asked to verify my home phone number and mailing address as well as my husband's last 4 digits of his SSN. I told her I did not feel comfortable disclosing that info and asked for her to give me the number she had on file as well as the address. The number and address were from the Houston, TX area. We have never lived in this area. I said this was fraud and I would not be paying any amount since the bill in question was not ours. I verified in June of 2014 when we were sent collection notices that we did in fact not owe this bill. I called AT&T and was told this practice is a scam and there were no delinquent charges on our bill and there was in fact no indication our account had ever been turned over for collection. Now, 1 1/2 years later, I get a phone call claiming I still owe the same amount. During the call "[redacted]" , if that's even her real name, agreed that this sounded like identity theft and assured me she would be sending a fraudulent claim packet to us. According to her our call was being recorded so if that was even true, I'm sure someone can go back and listen to our conversation. The catch was in order for her to send that out she was required to get my husbands last 4 SSN digits and our home mailing address. Unfortunately, I believed she was sincere instead of listening to my gut instinct. Imagine my surprise when instead of a fraudulent claim packet, we received a collection letter from Franklin Collection in the mail yesterday. It didn't take long to find out this company is very unscrupulous and as big a fraud as any two bit hustler. I will not pay this bill and if this harassment does not stop immediately I will see to it that this company is bankrupt before this time next year. Mr. [redacted] has no idea who he has chosen to scam this time around. I will not be bullied by the likes of his company. They have been reported to Lifelock as well as AT&T for a second time.

I called franklin to inquire about a payment for september. I was notified that there was not one scheduled there was one scheduled for Oct move and Dec. I said that was odd because I called and set up the arranged for the whole year and was odd that Sept wouldn't be on there I asked her to double check before we scheduled the payment she said there wasn't one so we scheduled one for 213.80 instead of the normal 200 again I asked so I wouldn't be double charged. well come to find out they charged me the 213 and the 200 I called and told them my bank said they would release the funds back into my account unless they faxed in. on their letterhead that the charge was voided they refused to do this. so I'm close to being overdrafted and don't have access to my money they took without my permission.I was they would take my case out of arrangement and they would sue me for the whole amount and he said he could do whatever he wanted so I contacted my attorney and they will hear from them shortly

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
I upgraded my AT&T internet services from the account in question in November of 2013, hence the disconnect on 11/28.  AT&T would have not let me upgrade/change any accounts with them if I had a prior account balance.  This was for an account cancellation/disconnect fee, when really I didn't disconnect, I only upgraded.  I've had this conversation with Franklin Collection Service and AT&T more than once.  There's miscommunication between Franklin Collection Service and AT&T, and I'm the one suffering for it.  Please proceed to remove the balances from both companies, and from my credit.  If this continues, I will contact my lawyer and get them involved, but would like to prevent going down that avenue.
Regards,
[redacted]
