I filed a complaint against this company and they responded to that..not to my many emails, however on 9/15 they emailed me to confirm my address to mail my refund..have yet to receive it and I have emailed them several times to check on this..with no response..they also still say they are Revdex.com accredited with an At rating on their site..

We are sorry for the confusion on them getting the wrong certificate in November. However it was a genuine mistake as generally students who ask for the certificate after just classroom without doing in car lessons need the yellow certificate as they get learners permit after this and complete the...

in car lessons to get the blue certificate. howeveronce the mistake was realized we were in a precarious situation as we were in back order from DMV wrt  to the blue DTS B certificates. We received a dispatch on Dec 15 and have issued to students same since Dec 15. Please contact us at our email and we can schedule time for you to pick up your DTS B form.

They have not received any paperwork from Friendly Driving School, so the "miss" is not "within the [redacted]" as Friendly Driving School claims. Thankfully, my daughter will not need to retake her Driver's Education and Behind the Wheel Course. Though Friendly Driving School claims this resolution has been in the works from the beginning, any decent business [redacted] would have made sure none of this ever happened. Not to me or the (at least) 16 other complainants through the Revdex.com. A decent business [redacted] would have made sure to fulfill his end of the transaction, i.e., filing the paperwork and making sure his customers were satisfied. Friendly Driving School no longer maintains a website that I can find, so requiring FDS to remove their false claim of being Revdex.com A+ certified is a moot point. As a result, my only real option to to find that this resolution is satisfactory through no action of Friendly Driving School itself. The response is satisfactory because I solved the problem myself - not through any help from FDS. Incidentally, the information the [redacted] of FDS gave me regarding the contact within the [redacted] was wrong. I ended up being referred to a completely different person, who I had to locate myself. I am thoroughly disgusted and dissatisfied with Friendly Driving School. Regards,[redacted]

I emailed Friendly's on 11/3 to let them know I would be there on 11/4 at 7:20 to pick up my check..I was there, my check was not. I get home to find a response sent from them at 6:15 on 11/4 stating I need to come on 11/5...according to an employee they are not surprised that I am having a hard time getting my money..he has not sent the check several times..I receive all of my mail with no problem whatsoever..I will show up again and I'm sure my check will not be there...I called his cell phone twice from my phone and once from his office phone, no answer.

Review: My son signed up for class with Friendly Driving School at their [redacted] location that was to start 1/5/15 at 6:30 pm. We arrived at 6:15 pm to a note on the door that the instructor was sick & that class would begin tomorrow 1/6/15. We went the next night & the same note was on the door so we waited until 6:50 pm & still no instructor. I called & left a voicemail to try to find out what was going on with no response at all. We emailed them when we got home & they responded a little while later explaining that the instructor was sick & had been hospitalized & the his nephews had been in an accident & also hospitalized but that they had contacted another driving school for us whose classes would begin the following Monday or we could wait until Feb. & start classes with them. I have emailed them 3 times since their response explaining that I was sorry to hear their bad news but this was unacceptable. We had paid them not the other school & the other school's location was not feasible due to my work schedule. I have yet to hear back from them so at this point my son is out $209.00 & still no driving class.Desired Settlement: at this point I do not even know what my options are as far as the desired outcome, my son still needs driving school & we need to know where our money is right now. Friendly Driving School wasted no time cashing the check we sent so I guess this will turn into a legal matter trying to get his money back. I just wanted other people to know what they are doing so the same does not happen to them.

Review: I'm writing for my father, who paid for a driving course for my niece, which she completed sometime in August. Since completing the course, she has received none of the promised paperwork from Friendly Driving School. The [redacted] which was supposed to receive the paperwork and contact my neice about her license has never heard from Friendly Driving School. My parents moved to [redacted] a couple f months ago, but my husband and I live here, and are determined to see this resolved. He paid close to $400 and we will see the funds returned to him or the paperwork necessary for my neiee's license filed with the county or we will take further action.Desired Settlement: My father deserves a complete refund if the paperwork necessary for my niece to receive her license is not filed immediately.

Review: I've used Friendly's 4 years ago with our daughter for BTW, so when my son needed the same service, we called them. He did behind the wheel, signed off on the paperwork on August 5, 2014 and hadn't received the licence by December. I called DMV and they hadn't received a record from them to issue the license. I called the main number on 12/23 [redacted] and left a message. I called [redacted] on 12/27/14 and a male answered saying he had been in the hospital and would look into it. I called [redacted] on 1/5/15 and the number has been busy since them. I called 804-514-8285 1/6/15, the same male answered and said I'd have to call back at a later time because he was at a doctors appointment. I called the main number and left a message again that I needed resolution today. I have yet to hear back from anyone about the delay in getting the license issued. We've paid, he's taken all 7 hours of BTW, he just needs his permit issued.Desired Settlement: I need them to send the drivers license information so my son licenses can be issued.

The extent of his driving was to the 7-11 for a Lotto ticket and then to a gas station for another Lotto ticket. I have been calling and emailing Friendly's and [redacted]..but now that they have my money there is no response..can't leave a message because the voice mail is full..I would like to also point out that they advertise that they are Revdex.com accredited.Desired Settlement: I want them to refund ALL of my money NOW#!!! and remove the Revdex.com accredited from any and all advertising.

I refused the offer of them providing the service. I have also emailed them about my refund which I have not received. My son only drove for approximately 30 minutes since Doug Cook was suppose to be there at 9am and showed up at 9:28am. My son was back home by 10am.

Review: Although provided no receipt or nothing in writing, on July 8, 2014 we paid $398.00 to Friendly Driving School for my son to complete the requirements to obtain his driver's license. He completed the classroom education on July 24th (which he was not provided a completion certificate for)and was told his behind the wheel portion would be scheduled within 2 weeks. They were supposed to reach out to us, but we did not hear from them. We attempted to contact them multiple times with no response. When you call the phone number provided and leave a message, a text comes back to your phone saying "thank you for calling Friendly Driving School. Please email us at [redacted] your query, comments or concerns and we will get back to you" My son finally received a text message from an unknown person to schedule his first behind the wheel session the first week of September. We were frusterated, but happy to see progress. After this session he was supposed to hear back in 2 days to schedule the next one. NOTHING. Multiple texts and weeks later he gets a reply from the instructor stating he no longer works for Friendly Driving School. Many additional phone calls and emails have been sent attempting to obtain his certificate for completion of the classroom work and a refund so we may have his requirements completed elsewhere. I was told to come on Monday Dec. 1st at 7:00pm to the site on [redacted] where my son completed his classes and the instructor would provide me the certificate. I was also told that a refund could not be provided until AFTER I picked up the certificate and it would then be mailed within 7-10 days. We arrived at 6:45 and there was a note on the door stating the classes were cancelled. Today I called, left a message, and got a return call stating the instructor who can provide the certificate has been very ill and is hospitalized and he is the only one who can take care of it.Desired Settlement: I have provided Friendly Driving School a copy of the cancelled check (which cleared promptly the next day on 07/09/14) and a formal written request to provide a copy of my son's certificate of completion for 2 weeks of classroom study and a FULL refund of all fees paid. The money lost and inconvenience that has been caused by my son not having his license yet, far exceeds the refund we are seeking.

Review: Paid for 6 driving lessons for my daughter. She took one lesson. They were paid $200 for full number of lessons necessary to fulfill the state guidelines for getting a license. They failed to pick my daughter up for second lesson and when they showed up 30 minutes late for the rescheduled lesson. By that point, new to VA, I was on the state site for permitting and licensing and realized that the first lesson was too short to meet state guidelines and the total number of lessons was fewer than state recquires. I told the teacher we wanted a refund. He agreed. That was on or about July 8. I have had numerous calls and texts with driving teacher in which he assures me my money will be or has been refunded but I never receive a check. His last call on 8/7 was to tell me that he would meet me with a cashiers check the week of Aug 10 and would call me on Aug 10 to set the time and place. Since then, I have heard nothing. The check was paid to and cashed by Nafisa S[redacted]. Driving teacher is Josh.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of $200. Failing that, I would at least like 6/7 of fee refunded. State requires 7 periods of driving and 7 periods of observation. She had one of each. That would be a refund of $171.43.

Review: My friend and I each paid $209 for our children to take the classroom portion of driver's ed through Friendly Driving School in July. The school had our addresses and when our children were not given a certificate of completion after the class, we expected the certificate to be mailed to us. In October, I decided to have my daughter take behind the wheel from another company. I emailed Friendly to ask for our certificate of completion for the classroom study. I received an email on October 29th from Friendly that they had not issued the certificate because they believed that she would take behind the wheel from them. When I emailed the company that she would not take their behind the wheel class and asked again for the certificate to be mailed to me, the company refused saying that there had been incidents of certificates being lost in the mail. I was instructed to go to the [redacted] location with my proof of payment, during class hours, to get the certificate. While it was very inconvenient, I drove to the school on November 5th to get my certificate. I spoke to Don Bowman who seemed put out to have to complete the certificates for my daughter and my friend's son. He gave me two forms, which I have come to find out are the incorrect forms. Instead of issuing me Driver Training Certificates, I was issued yellow Re-examination Certificates. I cannot use this form to get my daughter's license. I emailed Friendly on 11/7 and 11/17 to see when I could go to a location to get the correct form. I received no response. I then drove to the [redacted] location on three separate occasions to try and find the instructor. The first two times that I went to the location, there was a sign on the door that the instructor was ill and that classes would resume on 12/8. I went to the location on 12/9 and waited for 45 minutes. No one ever showed up. I emailed Friendly again on 12/10 and have still not received a response. I cannot leave a voicemail message because the voicemail box is always full.Desired Settlement: My friend and I want Friendly to issue our children the blue Virginia Driver Training Certificates that they should have received in July upon completion of the classroom portion of their driving instruction.

Review: I signed my daughter up for Behind the Wheel lessons with this company in early August. They asked for cash payment up front. When I refused, they said they would take a check. I paid $249, and they said they would complete my daughter's lessons before school started this fall. After I paid them, it was a nightmare trying to get them to schedule her lessons. The instructor waited an entire week between each lesson. After the last one, I reminded the instructor that she was starting school and he said he could not get her done before school started, despite his promise when I paid. I told him that I would need someone to teach her before school started in the morning as she has sports in the afternoons. He said he could not and that I would need to call the office to get another instructor. I emailed the office and they offered a refund, but also said they would try to get someone to finish her lessons this first week of school. It has now been a week, no one is returning my calls or my emails. I have called another driving school and they have told me that we need to start from scratch - that they cannot give us credit for the lessons we took with Friendly. So we have to pay for another class in full, and wasted the month of August with Friendly. Also, Friendly is not following state laws with regards to the hours required behind the wheel, they are giving out licenses without making the children do the 7 hours of observation.Desired Settlement: Refund in full .

The instructor that has been causing the issue with asking for cash payment, tardy on appointments, cutting corners etched is [redacted]. We had to let [redacted] go because of his tardiness and him being not truthful to us about his reasons of missing appointments and his conduct during lessons. We are rescheduling all of his students. Please give us till this weekend to get things in order and rescheduled. We have offered previously and do so now the refund of fees of unused services.
