Fur & Feathers Wildlife Control Reviews (51)

We apologize that we were unable to finish this job for [redacted] due to recent larger undertakings in our business. As a result I will be issuing a refund by money order for the amount $600. within the next 15 days. I'm not sending cash for security reason. A money order will more than...

suffice.

The consumer received her money back. I'm no longer obligated to her.

In response to [redacted]'s complaint. She did try to contact us in reference to a bat problem she claim was having. Unfortunately we have been extremely busy and haven't been able to come back out to address these issues. As far as satisfying this issue I am willing to come back to address this...

problem and extend the warranty for an additional 6 months on us or I will refund pro rated $21.67 for the one month of service we did not provide. Since she hasn't had a problem in 4 years and 11 months I'm not refunding her the full amount for the service that was provided back in June, 6 2010.

In response to [redacted]s complaint. All they paid for was a set up fee for the traps. Which I performed. I'm not leaving traps for an animal that is not there to be captured. Since they did not want to exclude the structure from skunks or other wildlife from their porch, I am not responsible for if they develop another reoccurring problem. They phone calls went unreturned because of his abusive behavior to me. I've been in this industry for 22 years and regardless of [redacted] wants to say about me, 99% of my clients would disagree with him. I know I have some complaints but I do over 1,000 new and repeat clients annually. So naturally, I cannot be 100% and please everyone. I'm sorry [redacted] feels this way towards me but he got what he paid for. I'm an no longer obligated to [redacted] since I already rendered service and there is no refund on trapping set up fees. Service was rendered, plain and simple. I do not wish to have any further contact with [redacted] and I would rather not a person like him as a customer anyway.

From: <[redacted]t>Date: Thu, Jun 25, 2015 at 2:03 PMSubject: Re: complaint [redacted]To: [redacted] <[redacted]>Ms. [redacted], Since my last email below, I have not heard from nor have I received a refund from the company Fur and Feathers Wildlife as they stated they would do in their response dated June 2. Please re-open this complaint and inform me as to how the Revdex.com proceeds in cases such as this. Again the complaint # is [redacted]. I have considered the extra # of days that they may need to issue my refund, however if you consider a work week as M-F, Friday, June 26 would be considered 18 days beyond the date of their response in which they said they would send out the refund within 15 days. If you consider calendar days beyond the June 2 response this brings us to 24 days past that date.I'm not going to proceed until I hear from you.I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possibleThank you so much[redacted]

Her money has already been charged backed. She can make all these claims all she wants about my business but the work has already been done with exception of a minor clean up in her attic space. All her gable vents have been screened, the soffits have been silicone caulked all the way around her...

home. If anyone got ripped off it was me. She can call my work ' half [redacted]'  all she wants but I did all this work for nothing and it cost me. I don't want her money or her business and this just a display of consumers like her will say anything to get something for nothing. This matter has been resolved and I don't need customers like her anyway.

Review: Business will not return repeated phone calls. They have not made any effort to honor the warranty of their work.Desired Settlement: As they have no interest in honoring their warranty, we would like a refund of our payment.

Review: Contacted company regarding noises and movement in downstairs walls and bottom kitchen cupboard sink areas. Someone came gave an estimate of $600, 2 year warranty. He looked areas over inside and outside. Found area of droppings in kitchen set. Told there was a mice problem. Work started on 11/20/13 on Wed. No show 11/21/13 and 11/22/13. Put traps in kitchen and attic and only found 1 mouse which was removed by them. Areas were filled outside, but didn't complete the work because they never came back on the 11/21 or 11/22. There were still areas under the front porch, small door area, and a weather strip around the door and this was not done. Issue is the work was not completed. Called on 11/21 someone said would be there and no show. Called 11/22 for no show and they said something came up. Let them know I was not satisfied with the work [redacted] or worker did or work not being fully completed. [redacted] or owner said they were terminating the contract and said he would refund and send a payment back to me for the $300 I paid since the work was not fully completed. Never received payment and I called and he said he sent it out. Still have not received my money of $300 back and he said I would get it back since they did not complete the work and they were terminating the contract. I have not received a response back from this company. I was not aware a contract could be broken over the phone. He said over the phone the $300 I paid the company would be returned and by him not honoring his word it shows the lack of ethics and integrity of him and this company. If my contract has been terminated this should be done in writing also, which was never done. I would like this matter resolved as soon as possible since I have not been able to get it resolved on my end.Desired Settlement: I want to have a refund of $300 as I was told by [redacted] I would receive this. Makes me wonder how many other people they do this too. I received incomplete work, debris was left from some work that was done, poor customer service, no shows, and no responses to phone calls and if he terminated the contract I would like that in writing.

Review: I hired this company to remove mice from a crawl space in our ceiling...which they did to a point but I still am catching mice and finding evidence of mice in our upstairs. I have a written three year agreement with this company in question and they have not honored that. I called them the day before Thanksgiving 2012 and [redacted] did arrive at my residence because we were still having a problem and more sealing of the roof had to be done. He stated that his worker would be at my home the day after Thanksgiving...no one arrived and no more work has been done to correct this problem since. I have called emailed and faxed and never a reply since that time. They are supposed to do any work necessary for three years without any more cost. No one has called or contacted me in any way.Desired Settlement: I want them to finish sealing and finding any sport where these mice might still be getting into the ceiling in my house. I want them to adhere to their 3 year contract if I have any more trouble with mice, etc. getting into my house

Review: I hired them to get rid of bats and squirrel in my attic. The contract has a five year warranty. A few weeks after the job was done, I saw some new bat droppings in the attic. I contacted the company. Jason, the owner, came by and told me that the problem came from the top ridge on the roof and that he would definately take care of it. Apparently that was not properly done the first time. They supposedly came and install a net for the bats to get out (which is the first step of the job). Please note that I do not know if they did that because I was at work and there is no way to visualize this. The next step consists in removing the net a week later, plugging the hole, cleaning up the droppings, and setting up a bomb. He never came back to complete this part of the job. I have called him every day for the past month. He has never called me back. It is clearly stated in my contract that any problem within 5 years should be taken care of. His associate Kevin assured me that they would quickly come to take care of any subsequent problems if any occur when he initially was explaining the contract to me. He even said that I could call him anytime and that he would come right away. I also called him several times but conveniently "his mailbox is not set up". As we stand now, I believe that there is a hole in my roof, I believe that I paid $2500.00 for a service that was not properly done, and I believe that Jason, the owner, as well as Kevin, his associate, have deliberately ignored my 25+ phone calls to take care of the problem.Desired Settlement: I want them to honor their guarantee by promptly coming here and finishing the job. I also want them to pay for any damages to my roof and my attic if any occur due to this open hole. Finally I would certainly like an apology for all the aggravation and wasted time that I suffer due to them ignoring my calls.

Review: I gave [redacted] a $400. deposit on Dec. 12, 2013 to set willdlife traps to remove squirrels from attic and walls, to replace damaged soffets, and remove nesting material. Two days after giving [redacted] (the president of Furr & Feathers) a deposit, the trap fell to the ground. After calling the company on Dec. 14, two technicians reset trap on Dec. 16, 2013. On Dec. 18 [redacted] came to remove trap and one squirrel and replaced with trap #2. Five days later on Dec. 23 the trap fell to the ground again. I called the business four times in January, 2014 and did not hear back from [redacted]. After numerous other phone calls, (and with the trap still on the ground) I finally got in touch with [redacted] on May 9. He stated he would check his files and call me back. He did not call. Finally, I asked a family member to call him on my behalf. When the family member called, [redacted] hung up on him.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my $400 deposit returned as soon as possible.

Review: I own a home at [redacted], NY. In August 2013, I hired Fur and Feathers Wildlife for an infestation of bats. I paid $1200 for bat removal and sealing the house to prevent future infestation. The work was guaranteed by written contract for 5 years. A couple of weeks ago we experienced another infestation. I contacted the company on May 31, 2014 and Jason Carter promised he would be at the house Sunday, June 1st. He never called nor showed up at the house. Since then I have made over 5 calls to the company and left messages to no avail. I have not received any return phone calls. I also emailed and my message was kicked back since "their mailbox was over quota."Desired Settlement: Since I now have to call another company to resolve my issue, I want Fur and Feathers to return my $1200 immediately.

Review: The company promised in writing as a warranty which I have a copy of to eradicate woodchucks that were burrowing in our backyard and to install a permanent fence barrier under warranty for 5 years. They never installed the barrier. They stated they would put internal traps int he ground since they couldnt catch them above ground - this never happened. They failed on to catch any woodchuck although this did set traps. 3 different employees came and told me that since there were no woodchucks in the traps they must have left the area. My husband put our own trap out and caught 3 himself.

I paid a 1/2 down deposit of $350 with the contract and received no service as promised. In writing via email complained as outlined about plus I had left 2 messages with [redacted], with no response to the action called. I see from all the complaints that I am not the only one. I feel I definitely should receive my deposit back since the contract was unfilled and thus null and void .Desired Settlement: Refund of the deposit of $350

Review: I hired said business to take care of a squirrel problem in attic

they laid traps in the attic and said they were going to check them every day

they came three-four times and then stopped

they said that it was illegal for them to keep traps over the week-end,

the first week-end they came, removed the traps for that week-end

and then came back the next week and laid new traps

this was three weeks ago. they have not come back at all

their traps are still in the attic, not touched. they were left there for two

week-ends already.

they have not been in contact with us at all during the three weeks and

any effort to contact them has not worked. we have left several messages

with the business and also with the person who works for them ( [redacted] )Desired Settlement: the desired outcome would be for them to finish the said job

beyond that, removal of the traps if they are unable to finish their job

it should be noted that a contract was made for them to do the job that

they offered

Review: Mr. C[redacted] warrantied his work for a year. I have called at least twice to request he follow-up and through, he didn't even return my calls, let alone check out the situation.Desired Settlement: His work was expensive, took a lot longer than he said it would and did not stop the problem with squirrels entering my home.

Review: A skunk had crawled under our porch on Saturday 11/30/2103 and was not coming out. I searched the internet and contacted Fur & Feathers Wildlife Control Saturday afternoon at ###-###-#### and left a message to please call back as soon as possible as the skunk was spraying. Monday morning [redacted] called me back and advised he could come out that day and set a trap. The fee is $150.00 for the premise visit and to set two traps and he was paid in cash and we have a receipt on company letterhead to prove that. He advised he would return daily to re-bait traps and did on Wednesday only. He wouldn't returned any of our calls as to why he wasn't here daily. On Fri 12/6 two different employees came & explained that DEC rules say they have to remove the traps over the week-end as they don't work & cant be responsible but would return Monday w/ traps. No show Mon-Fri 12/9 - 12/13 & no one would return any of our calls. [redacted] left ###-###-#### as another reach # and never returned any calls. We want our $150 payment returned and the skunk gone!Desired Settlement: We want our $150.00 cash payment refunded and the skunk removed. Also suggest there is record of the business's practice so that no one else has to waste their time with such a problem. Thank you.

Review: Hired this company for bat removal.

They ruined the siding on the house. Jason finally showed up after several phone calls, said "this is unacceptable, I will be back with my contractor to replace the siding" he took several measurements and that's the last I've seen of him.

I have tried to call but he won't answer or return my calls.

The contract said remove & replace insulation. They replaced about two pieces and the one with the big bat hole is still here!

There is white caulk smeared on the brick!

We still have bats!

Very unprofessional business!Desired Settlement: Refund to hire a reputable company to remove the bats and replace the siding.

Review: I contracted with Fur&Feathers Wildlife control for bat removal and exclusion work on my barn. I paid them half ($2000.) down payment on 3/16/13. Work was initiated and performed over several weeks. They then submitted a bill for the remainder ($2000.) for them to complete the work, which I paid on 4/5/13. The contract includes a 5 year warranty on the entire structure for bat exclusion services. The barn still has bats with feces and urine droppings daily. I called Fur and Feathers and they came out once or twice more, however have never completed the work. Now they do not answer my calls, or return them. I called them from another phone number once, and that call they did return at a later time leaving a message so I know they are still in business. The warranty states that "if an infestation should occur, we shall return, remove infestation, and close and seal all areas that were treated by our company due to improper application and or product failure for the life of the contract." I am unable to reach them and they have not completed services and have been paid in full. I left a message requesting either they call back to arrange to complete the work or refund my money - I have not received a return call.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the work completed to a satisfactory level and the 5-year warranty honored.

If they will not do that, I would like to have my money refunded.

When all squirrels were removed the entry was to be sealed with aluminum flashing. [redacted] caught 2 squirrels and never returned. He won't return phone messages.
